Editor’s Note: The Homeland Institute (website, Telegram) is proud to announce the results of its second poll, which was conducted in late August through early September of 2023 on the topic of the Great Replacement. We found that 59.4% of Republicans said they had not even heard of the Great Replacement theory until they were polled, but 62.4% nonetheless at least slightly agreed with the Great Replacement theory once it was succinctly explained to them. In politics as in war, the best defense is a good offense. Conservatism has catastrophically failed to conserve anything because it is an inherently defensive ideology born out of a defensive — if not downright cowardly — mindset. It does not take a political genius to predict that those who want to just be left alone so they can grill in peace will lose to those who want to burn Western civilization to the ground. (more…)

Editor’s Note: The results of the Homeland Institute‘s (website, Telegram) first poll have been released.
The results are intriguing, to say the least. For example, the accusation of wokeness has almost 70% of the power of an accusation of racism in terms of respondents’ willingness to actually follow through with boycotting a business.
I am pleased to announce the creation of a new public policy research institute, the Homeland Institute.
The idea of the Homeland Institute began forming in 2018 and 2019 when I read Roger Eatwell and Matthew Goodwin’s National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy (Pelican, 2018) and Ashley Jardina’s White Identity Politics (Cambridge University Press, 2019).
