GLORIOUS!
Hello, Dr. Johnson.
Congratulations on the 14th anniversary of your Countercurrents web site.
As I recently wrote to Mark Weber:
Am I the only one who cringes at the mention of the term “Democracy?” I have to wonder.
I don’t have to tell you and our allies that nearly every political thinker since Plato has considered democracy to be the worst form of government. Our founding fathers certainly denounced it. Many folks just sputter and change the subject when reminded that under a PURE democracy, 51% of the population could vote to expropriate, enslave or exterminate the other 49%. That doesn’t mean that the outvoted 49% would just give up, but it does point out that such a system is not conducive to peace, law and order.
This is not a criticism of you personally by any means. You are among the top tier of the people I respect and heed. It’s just that almost every one of these folks uses the term democracy as though it were a legitimate form of government.
It seems as though many people take the presence of elections as evidence of “democracy.” It’s not. I suggest terms such as elective, representative & constitutional as adjectives to modify republic, which is what Ben Franklin said they had given us – if we could keep it. Elections are fine for choosing certain personnel such as town clerk or dog-catcher. Frankly, I’m a Royalist – probably more so than the King himself.

I’m trying to join Entropy so I can contribute to you by credit card. There are technical difficulties. I hope to resolve those soon!
I loved the debate you recently had with Jared Taylor. I tend to agree with him; HOWEVER, you give me hope in the midst of despondency.
Best regards,
Stephen M McMillen
Thanks so much. I really appreciate your support.
Did I hear correctly that this year’s Millenniyule will have the visual theme of Latinx? Anyways, I thought when I had reached VDare and AmRen, I was as far down the rabbit hole as I needed to be. I had been touching some other 3rd rails like Jolly Heretic and GtK by then. I knew CC existed, but never actually read it. Thanks to covid slowdowns, I dipped my toes in the water, and have never looked back since. I am pretty sure I have gotten a university level liberal arts education just from this site(Beau Albrecht notwithstanding).
On reaching young conservatives over legal immigration:
“Reserved seat squatters.”
Imagine if someone paid to lay claim to your living room before the others arrived to huddle in your bedroom and kitchen.
That was pretty good. I like the idea of archiving the movement’s history. So much of our history is recorded, but by hostile academics, such as the book Bring the War Home. More work on contemporary and still living figures would be interesting.
For example, what ever happened to VOR? Why did they go dark? I was reminded of stark truth you guys mentioned. That site was like podcast heaven.
I thought too the persecution Greg suffered was interesting. I wish he would talk about this in more detail, especially the assault. I’m surprised he never writes about it.
Did someone say they’re moving to New Mexico? A wide brim hat will protect you from the strong sun there.
