Today is Earth Day, which has been an occasion to call for conservationism and environmental protection since it was first celebrated in America with bipartisan support in 1970, in response to the Santa Barbara oil spill of 1969. Although in recent decades environmentalism has come to be identified with the political Left, taking stewardship of the Earth and seeking harmony in the relationship between man and nature has traditionally been an issue of the Right. Progressives, on the other hand, especially as manifested in Communism, have historically been proponents of mass industrialization, believing that it is as possible to transform the planet into a technological utopia as they consider it possible to alter human nature itself, and exhibited complete disregard for the destructive impact their projects had on the natural world.
Today, of course, despite some differences in their surface rhetoric, the mainstream Left and Right are united in viewing the Earth as nothing more than a resource to be exploited for economic growth, differing only in the details. But the True Right has always recognized that man must be understood within the context of the natural order as a whole, and that it is only by understanding and respecting our place within it that societies and individuals can truly grow and prosper without sacrificing their children’s futures.

No mention of Ira Einhorn ? The founder of Earth Day who murdered his girlfriend and then fled the country.
While undeniable the facts of Einhorn’s life don’t discredit the notions of Earth Day or environmentalism in themselves.
Huh? Einhorn? Really? If you want to know about this nasty Jewboy, read this that has nothing to do with Earth Day: Special Treatment | National Vanguard
…I’ll give you an example of the special treatment reserved for Jews which has gotten a very slight coverage in the news recently and has been noticed by those of us who notice such things: that’s the case of Ira Einhorn. Einhorn was a Philadelphia-area leader of the so-called “counter-culture revolution” of the 1960s and 1970s, a revolution which Jews like to brag turned America upside down and changed young people’s values…
Ira Einhorn was a smart, fast-talking Jewish con man, who moved in the same circles as other Jews of his ilk in that era: Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman, Allen Ginsberg. Einhorn was much more than just a cheerleader for the Viet Cong. He was a full-fledged New Age guru. He managed to promote himself successfully as a spokesman for everything that was trendy: the marvelous effects of LSD and other psychedelic drugs, pyramid power, various oriental religious cults, transcendental meditation, UFOs and extraterrestrials, CIA conspiracies: you name it; Einhorn was able to pass himself off as an authority on it. He also was a drug dealer. But mostly he was a very wordy and very self-confident Jew-boy, who was able to mesmerize Gentiles young and old and bring them under his sway — especially Gentile women. He managed to convince them that whatever nonsense he spewed on any subject was profound wisdom. This was the case despite the fact that he was fat, hairy, greasy looking, and otherwise singularly unattractive: almost a stereotype of the Jew for whom the name “kike” was coined. Of course, the Jewish media and Jews in the Philadelphia establishment helped Einhorn maintain his “guru” image by taking him seriously and giving him good press.
One of the young Gentile women Einhorn mesmerized was a beautiful, blonde girl from the little East Texas town of Tyler, Holly Maddux. Holly was not only beautiful, but she was also very bright and personable.
[delete what this Jew did to exploitable Miss Holly]
We are letting the Jews as a whole do to us, to our society, and to our civilization what Holly Maddux let Ira Einhorn do to her. And we must put an end to this situation very soon. We must put an end to the special treatment we have been giving Jews, or we certainly will end up the way Holly Maddux did…
Enough about the slimy Jew “guru.” Give credit where credit is due:
Gaylord Nelson, who founded Earth Day in 1970, was a Giant among environmentalists.
His Earth Day was a watershed moment for environmental politics, kicking off what is now termed the “Environmental Decade” (1970’s) of radical legislative reforms. “After struggling to pass legislation through the 1960s, Nelson was…deeply involved in many of the most important (pieces of) U.S. environmental protection legislation: the Clean Water Acts, the National Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Federal Pesticides Act, the Clean Air Act, the Environmental Education Act, the National Hiking Trails and the National Scenic Trails Acts….” See http://www.nelsonearthday.net/nelson/
He was a forceful leader in attempting to convince environmental organizations that they could never achieve their long-term goals unless the U.S. achieved population stabilization. He stated that in order for the U.S. to stabilize its population, it had to dramatically cut legal immigration and enforce its laws to stop illegal immigration.
On Earth Day’s 30th anniversary in 2000, Nelson said : Stabilizing U.S. population is a challenge that could be resolved in a relatively short period resulting in significant economic and environmental benefits. At the current rate of population growth, the population of the US will (rise)… to some 530 million within the next 65 to 70 years. If that happens, the negative consequences will be substantial if not, indeed, disastrous. To stabilize our population would require a dramatic reduction in our immigration rate….”
(181) Gaylord Nelson: “Too damned many people!” – White Biocentrism
Does that sound like what the murderous kike Einhorn would say?
More here about the honorable White environmental activist, former governor of Wisconsin and U.S. Senator Nelson, and Jewish counterculture activist Einhorn who claimed to be Earth Day co-founder though he was simply MC of that first event: Earth Day co-founder killed, composted girlfriend (nbcnews.com)
Thanks for taking the time to write all that down, but I was already familiar with the story.
Mr. Morgan: [I]n recent decades environmentalism has come to be identified with the political Left, taking stewardship of the Earth and seeking harmony in the relationship between man and nature has traditionally been an issue of the Right.

Well said, especially placed next to that stylistic Life Rune. To reinforce that point, this by Francis Playfair:
FOR FAR TOO LONG now the ‘green issue’ has been hijacked and controlled by the left wing of the establishment. It hasn’t always been that way. For many generations the environment was a White issue and it was the White race that was at the forefront of the green movement.
To a modern reader this might seem like a bizarre claim: Is it not true that the White man is the destroyer of the land and that the benign and humble savage its protector and caretaker? No, that is not true; it is just a myth.
Yes, there are primitive tribes who have done little damage to the Earth, but this is not because they were environmentally aware — it is because they did not have the power or ability to do much damage.
The true race of the land is the White race, this can be traced back throughout our history. We have long been folk of the fields and forests, of the mountains and of the lakes — and, as the power of man grew, and the land came under threat, it was the White man who strode out to protect it once more… Nationalism and the Environment | National Vanguard

Fred C. Dobbs: April 22, 2024 Thanks for taking the time to write all that down, but I was already familiar with the story.

You’re welcome, Fred. It didn’t take much time to cut and paste that to set the record straight for those who are not familiar with Einhorn or Nelson.
Thanks, Will, for setting the record straight.
I feed the birds and squirrels in my suburban backyard, and grow giant California Canyon Ash trees (which produce massive amounts of oxygen to counteract the massive smog) along with milkweed for monarch butterflies — and you should too. Well, so much for righteous sermons, what we need to do as well is to read all the previous p0sts above (I will start on the one encouraging to find a way to stop the horrendous overbreeding in Africa) and see what we individuals can do ourselves. I would like to see Counter Currents gather them all together into a book, so that us white folks can be seen as doing something other than being ‘White Supremacists’. Taking on ‘saving the planet’ should shut up a good many of our detractors.
If nothing else, grow an avocado seed into a tree from the avocado you use for guacamole.
Earth Day is also notable as the birthday of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, aka Lenin.
🙂
I attended the very first Earth Day in Fairmount Park in 1970. (Earth Day, and Earth Week, were very much a Philadelphia thing that first year.) Speakers on hand included Allen Ginsberg, who recited his new poem, “Kiss Ass,” and far-Left Nobel Laureate George Wald. Wald made a joke about how when he told his little granddaughter he was going to Philadelphia to celebrate Lenin’s birthday (for that was what Earth Day truly was, Lenin’s centennial, April 22, 1970), she was very pleased, not realizing “it was for Vladimir, not John.” The ethnic cast and perversity of the original Earth Day movement was very much in evidence at Fairmount Park that day. I see that all the recent mentions of Ira Einhorn concern themselves with his murder case and his Earth Day leadership. I surely saw him on stage that day, though the name meant nothing to me. Later he turned up as spokesman for The Eulenspiegel Society, a kind of kinky-sex swingers’ group specializing in S/M and B/D. I would have expected some note of this in all the obits and news recaps about Einhorn killing and mummifying his girlfriend, but such trivial footnotes seem to have eluded the mainstream press.
Thank you for this wonderful essay.
Those 710 words of introduction are an outstanding summary of the core issues of ecological politics. Such politics absolutely belongs to the Right, whether Racial or Christian, both sets of adherents being characterized by a recognition that intergenerational eco-stewardship is a profoundly moral and necessary activity. Modern “environmentalism” in its political and bureaucratic manifestations, however, is clearly and properly categorized as leftist. Today’s “enviros” are, at best, saturated with petulant sentimentalism and unthinking utopianism; at worst, they’ve deliberately weaponized voiceless nature as a cudgel to attack capitalism and modern Western prosperity (and hence military power), while predictably saying nothing about the REAL global ecological threat: unchecked Third World population growth.
I would add to John Morgan’s justification for locating ecologism on the True Right that it also exposes the inevitable natural limits to human political aspirations. Societies cannot simply achieve whatever they want, assuming sufficient willpower. In this it is, ironically, like the true version of its frequent antagonist, economics, a correct understanding of which illuminates the limits of man’s ability to rationally construct his preferred social environment.
