Recently, Naomi Wu’s story was brought to my attention on Twitter by Hank Oslo of the Myth of the 20th Century podcast. Naomi Wu is a tech adept from the People’s Republic of China (PRC), living in Shenzhen. She does a bit of coding, but mainly focuses on building gadgetry, and she has invented things such as LED display hats that project images over your face to help circumvent the face detection software that has become ubiquitous in the urbanized parts of the rather autocratic PRC.
