This past winter I lost my last grandparent — the most stubborn one, still to the end a strict English schoolteacher after having long since retired from the profession in the 1970s. She suffered through the desegregation years while working at Marshall High and was never dishonest about the experience. She possessed that combination of Southern decorum and irascible (and accurate) bluntness, which gave her the ability to reduce anyone, including 250-pound, six-foot-three black football players, to tears. As the 1980s ended and the 1990s began, racial issues became more and more prevalent in the United States and around the world. Whites who could, of course, continued to move to the suburbs to avoid diversity and multiracialism. But it was becoming harder and harder to escape racial realities in a changing America. As always, Instauration offered clear-headed commentary on the unrelenting war against whites. (more…)

Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo — The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly — is the title of the 1966 Italian epic Spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone that starred Clint Eastwood as “the Good,” Lee Van Cleef as “the Bad,” and Eli Wallach as “the Ugly.” With Eastwood as the star, it was a fun movie to watch. Lots of macho action.

Fast forward to the January 20, 2021 Presidential Inaugural Address, a remake of the original with little action and no macho. (more…)

In a few days, we Americans are supposed to be “giving thanks.” This normally involves getting together with members of your extended family and feasting. Turkey. Stuffing. Biscuits. Blasphemous, unnameable casseroles that combine foods man was never meant to combine, concealed beneath dubious sauces. With the exception of families that say grace before eating, most American Thanksgiving dinners seldom involve anyone actually discussing what they have to be thankful for. Given that the year is 2020, it may be best that we continue to observe this latter custom. (more…)

I don’t like black people. Let’s get that out of the way right now. Yes, in my life there have been perhaps three black individuals that I was truly fond of (one of whom I still am). But as a group, I recognize that black Africans represent a particularly violent threat to Western civilization, a civilization I love dearly. (more…)

There is a lot of wisdom in the anonymous saying: “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”

But understanding this saying requires some nuances. One can’t understand politics without discussing all three categories: ideas, events, and people.

A hypocrite is someone who professes specific moral convictions, while violating his professions by his actual behavior. A hypocrite resembles, as Charles Dickens tells us, “a direction-post, which is always telling the way to a place, and never goes there.”

A preacher who condemns prostitution but patronizes prostitutes is a hypocrite, as is a bank president who embezzles from his bank but rages against bank robbers. (more…)

While Jews relentlessly promote intermarriage/miscegenation between Europeans and other groups, and label opposition to this as horrific “racism,” they have quite different ideas for themselves.

But, what about the alleged “high rate of Jewish intermarriage?”
