Thanks to those of you who have kindly answered the call, we currently stand at $202,881.51, which is 68% of the way to our target. This year, Counter-Currents is raising $300,000. Because of our donors’ astounding generosity, we are almost 2/3 of the way there. Our grand total is $199,446.94. That puts us at 65% of our goal. Have you donated yet? Because we are a little more than $550 dollars from the $200,000 mark. You can be the one who puts us over.

Since half of all fundraising in the US happens in November and December, being 2/3 of the way to our goal on November 11th is very auspicious. (more…)

Imagine a scenario: You’re walking down the street, minding your own business, and then suddenly, a stranger waltzes up to you and tweaks your nose. You are seized by righteous anger and start pursuing him. When you actually catch him, he has the gall to ask you why you are so angry and even theorizes that you’re not really angry at him, but that you’re angry at yourself and your own shortcomings as a person, shortcomings that you do indeed have seeing as how you’re a human being. We made our Columbus Day $5,000 matching grant. By midnight on Friday, October 14th, we received $5,263.01, so we are adding $10,263.01 to our total, for a grand total of $177,756.72. That puts us at 59% of our goal by the middle of October. Since half of all fundraising happens in November and December, I am feeling confident we will make out goal, if we all do our parts. Two weeks ago we crossed the half-way point. This week we got almost one percent more toward our goal. Thus far, we have raised, $167,493.71, which is 55.8% of our goal.
