If Canada holds a federal election this year, it will be a miracle. Even though it is officially slated for the fall, October 20, 2025, I am doubtful it will happen. As the Liberal Party of Canada is currently in the midst of its internal leadership race to find Justin Trudeau’s replacement, everyone is wondering how the next few weeks will play out. There are currently four candidates vying to be the next leader and potentially the next prime minister: Frank Baylis, Karina Gould, Chrystia Freeland, and Mark Carney.
As Counter-Currents readers well know, Trudeau announced his half-hearted resignation in January. He resigned without resigning or in other words he slyly announced that he would step down pending the Liberal party’s leadership race. The search for a new leader — who will most likely become Canada’s next prime minister by default — had its very first debate on Monday February 24 in French and its second on Tuesday February 25 in English.
Suffice it to say that both debates were as dull as toast. They were characterized by liberal self-congratulatory freemasonry and punctuated by a few notable gaffes. Carney’s performance in the French language debate was poor. When asked about the situation in the Middle East, Carney said in French “Alors, nous sommes d’accord avec Hamas. Nous sommes d’accord avec une two-state…” which is translated as “So, we agree with Hamas. We agree with a two-state…”; and something inadvertently hilarious about abolishing Quebec. Granted there is too much emphasis on French-language proficiency in Canadian politics, but in this case, I think anything that makes Carney look bad is a good thing.
It is telling that both the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and even Freeland were quick to jump to Carney’s defence when he misspoke in French. Surprisingly, in the English debate, Carney indirectly blamed himself for the state of Canada’s economy as he was one of Trudeau’s chief economic advisors during the time. Unfortunately, none of this will matter as Carney is the anointed one, pre-ordained to be parachuted in to replace Trudeau.
There are two main scenarios that could play out after Carney inevitably wins the leadership race. The first would see Carney opt not to be sworn in as prime minister. He would then request Prime Minister Trudeau to advise the Governor General to dissolve parliament. Carney would then run in the general election campaign as Liberal Party leader but not the sitting prime minister. Trudeau and his current cabinet would remain in place until the election results are in and a new pm declared.
In the second scenario, which in my opinion is far more likely, after winning the Liberal Party leadership race, Carney is sworn in as prime minister, appoints a new cabinet, and brings back parliament on March 24.
The scenario that I fear involves the latter playing out with an added twist. The new leader of the Liberals will be declared on March 9 as registered Liberals have until then to cast their votes. I have a feeling that shortly after swearing in Prime Minister Mark Carney, the ruling Liberal party will circumvent the democratic process in favour of effectively declaring martial law once again. What used to be called the War Measures Act in Canada has since been renamed the Emergencies Act. Keen observers will remember that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, a law that confers sweeping powers on the federal government, when truckers of the Freedom Convoy occupied the streets of Ottawa in the winter of 2022.
Even before using dictatorial powers in 2022, Trudeau made some telling comments about his appreciation for China’s “basic dictatorship”. At a fund-raiser in 2013 Trudeau said:
There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar. There is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about: having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.
You see Carney is cut from the same cloth as Trudeau: he’s a rootless cosmopolitan globalist steeped in World Economic Forum (WEF) dogma. Here is his personal page on the WEF website. It is important to take notice of long-standing patterns, and everyone that has been anointed by the WEF or other transglobal organizations tend to spread calamity in their wake. Carney’s no exception.
Carney has said publicly that he would use emergency powers to combat things like Donald Trump’s tariffs. The likely scenario that I see playing out in the near future is this: Mark Carney will automatically win the farce that is the Liberal Leadership race against the handful of empty suits arrayed against him, he will then become Canada’s prime minister by default, and finally he will declare a state of emergency to forgo any sort of fall 2025 election. And this state of emergency will persist until polls are favourable to call a general election.
While campaigning in Kelowna, British Columbia, Carney stated that he would use extraordinary governmental power to address certain issues:
Something that my government is going to do is to use all of the powers of the federal government, including the emergency powers of the federal government, to accelerate the major projects that we need to build this economy and take on the Americans.
Canada should be engaged in deal making with President Trump and the United States, not focused on retaliatory action. If Trudeau had a pragmatic bone in his body that would be the focus, not an infantile trade war. Alexander Dalziel and Alan Bersin, writing on behalf of a Canadian think tank, make this argument in favor of diplomacy and mutually beneficial trade deals:
Canada should propose trade deals, built on its national strengths, that would make North America stronger . . . proactively coming to the table with concrete proposals that strengthen economic and security ties with its key partner will turn longstanding opportunities into long-term advantages for both . . . Let’s put down the hammer and resume shaking hands.
Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau who never saw a globalist cause he didn’t like, was busy virtue signalling on a grand scale in Ukraine. Trudeau was in Kyiv in February with European leaders where he announced more support for the Ukrainian regime. Trudeau announced that Canada’s hollowed out military will provide more vehicles to Zelensky including 25 light armoured vehicles (LAVs), two combat support vehicles, four F-16 flight simulators to go along with delivery systems for the fighters, and of course more money. The ill-gotten gains will come from seized Russian assets, $5 Billion worth. Canada has been pushing European officials to cede frozen Russian funds to the Ukrainians. This is a tactic that Canadian citizens, especially Freedom Convoy supporters, know too well. He further stated that he would be open to sending Canadian troops to keep the peace if an agreement is reached between the warring parties. Something that was undoubtedly discussed again at this past weekend’s Securing our Future Summit in London, England.
One of Trudeau’s missions in life at the present time is to act as a foil to Trump, and that means bringing in as many foreigners into the country as possible, at great expense. Canada’s latest foray into virtue signalling is in regard to Sudanese refugees. A report from the CBC states that 4,700 refugees will be resettled by the end of 2026, 4,000 will get government assistance, with the remaining 700 will be supported privately. According to government officials, from April 23, 2023, to December 31, 2024, 1,360 Sudanese refugees have been resettled in Canada.
According to investigative news outlet Blacklock’s Reporter, Trudeau has also been busy making appointments since he announced his departure:
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made 104 federal appointments since announcing his resignation January 6, records show. Appointees include four senators, six ambassadors and 14 judges, and the reappointment of a former Liberal MP whose term at a federal agency did not expire until months after Trudeau leaves office: ‘I commit to transparency and merit-based appointments.’
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to be replaced in a matter of days. Unfortunately, the globalist program will continue unabated. His successor, Mark Carney, will incite further anti-Americanism and continue to antagonize President Trump to justify the invocation of emergency powers to ensure that Canada staggers towards final extinction.

There is no point in participating in a Canadian election when the options are libtard or cuckservative. Our choice is national populism or a nationalist party. Better to have a Bound for Glory or Zetazeroalfa concert in Canada.
Thanks for the information. If I wasn’t already blackpilled about canuckistan, I am now. I may move from mississaugastan to Orania. Do they speak English there? I guess it doesn’t matter as they don’t speak English where I live now, lol.
Good luck not getting killed on the roads. I hear Brampton is jeet-maxxed to the gills. I can’t even watch Jeremy Mackenzie’s streams anymore, the situation up there is so goddamn depressing.
The problem with Justin is that he’s a libtard, not his willingness to invoke the Emergencies Act, as his father did in his time (and with considerably more justification). That’s the best thing about him, and the only evidence of his being Pierre’s son. (Although I suppose it’s like Fidel as well)
Of course he’d use it for bad purposes, but it’s there for a reason. Trump (who’s sorta our guy) has to make do with executive orders, which are already being blocked by pipsqueak judges, and he’s still getting called a “fascist.”
I would love to see Trump give Pierre’s Schmittian response when he’s asked what he’ll do about some judge issuing a “restraining order”: Just watch me.

“I think the society must take every means at its disposal to defend itself against the emergence of a parallel power which defies the elected power in this country and I think that goes to any distance. So long as there is a power in here which is challenging the elected representative of the people I think that power must be stopped and I think it’s only, I repeat, weak-kneed bleeding hearts who are afraid to take these measures”
Pierre was the Trump the libtards fear.
