This year, Counter-Currents is raising $300,000. Thus far our grand total is $188,211.94. That puts us at 63% of our goal. We have also received $870 so far toward our matching grant of $3,700 for the translation of Alain de Benoist’s The Populist Moment. Thanks so much to all our donors for their support. Complete information on how you can help appears below. But first, Thomas Steuben explains why your support is so crucial right now. (more…)

Introduction here, Chapter 4 Part 2 here, Chapter 5 Part 2 here
Translated by F. Roger Devlin
In January 1905, the regulations of the French Section of the Workers’ International, the Socialist Party of the time, still indicated that it was a “class party whose goal was to socialize the means of production and exchange, i.e. to transform capitalist society into a collectivist or Communist society, and that its means to this end was the economic and political organization of the proletariat.” Of course, no “socialist” party would dare say this today. Socialists have mutated into social-democrats and, increasingly, into social-liberals. (more…)

Mike Maxwell has posed some questions to me on sovereignty and international order on the Imperium Press Substack.
Ethnonationalists envision a world of sovereign homelands for all distinct peoples who aspire to autonomy. Thus we are opposed to multinational empires as well as global government schemes, all of which involve the denial of sovereignty to particular peoples or, in the case of global governance, to all peoples. Should what is too terrible to read be too terrible to do?
A new All Quiet on the Western Front movie is out. I read the book ages ago and saw the old 1930 movie, so I’ll probably download this one as well eventually. (more…)
We owned a horse which had been presented to us by a dear friend. It was a magnificent animal of Arabian breed, possessed of almost human intelligence . . . — Nikola Tesla’s autobiography, My Inventions

Imagine a scenario: You’re walking down the street, minding your own business, and then suddenly, a stranger waltzes up to you and tweaks your nose. You are seized by righteous anger and start pursuing him. When you actually catch him, he has the gall to ask you why you are so angry and even theorizes that you’re not really angry at him, but that you’re angry at yourself and your own shortcomings as a person, shortcomings that you do indeed have seeing as how you’re a human being. Next week down here in Georgia, a state that is just under one-third black, we’re expected to choose between two black men for US Senator. I’m also supposed to pretend that either one of them will adequately “represent” me in the Senate.
The Democrats have farted forth the incumbent Raphael Warnock and his shiny coffee-bean head. Warnock is the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where some fellow named Martin Luther King, Jr. used to be the pastor. Warnock has cited Dr. James Cone as his “mentor.” Cone has said things such as “If God is white, kill God.” (more…)

In times of crisis, it seems that there are always people prone to engage in pointless discussions, like those sons of Byzantium who debated about the sex of angels while they were besieged by the Ottoman invaders — an encirclement that would result in the suppression of their millenary empire. National divorce is the natural consequence of America’s highly politicized culture. Cable news channels routinely feature the term “civil war.” Average Americans divide along political lines in their personal and social lives, and nowhere is this more pronounced than on college campuses. America’s internal divisions are here to stay. (more…)
At all the turning points [in Jewish history], it is the more ethnocentric elements — one might term them the radicals — who have determined the direction of the Jewish community and eventually won the day. As recounted in the Books of Ezra and Nehemiah, the Jews who returned to Israel after the Babylonian captivity energetically rid the community of those who had intermarried with the racially impure remnant left behind. Georges Eugène Sorel was born 175 years ago today, and died at the age of 74. Born in Normandy and educated in Paris, Sorel was an engineer by training who took an early retirement to devote himself to philosophy and politics. Although conservative by temperament (he defended the patriarchal family and martial virtues), Sorel became a Marxist, albeit an increasingly heterodox one, and a revolutionary syndicalist.
Although Sorel had an elite education, on all essential matters he was an autodidact. (more…)
