It is not without a certain excitement that I realize that current events, horrible as they may be, will force many of our contemporaries to reevaluate their blind faith in the Liberal world-view. This isn’t business as usual — and the naive need a wake-up call. But these events also interfere with our own plans.

Based on a few clips, I was certain that Alt-Right: Age of Rage (2018) would lead to permanent physical damage from sheer cringiness. But I was delighted to have been proven wrong. This is a remarkably fair-minded documentary. On balance, though, I think it will be good for white identity politics. Age of Rage was directed by Adam Bhala Lough, an American of partial South Asian descent.

I had a talk recently about current events with a cuckservative friend of mine. He’s a Trump supporter, but not a particularly enthusiastic one. He recognizes that these days, all the good sense is found on the Right and all the crazy on the Left. But at heart, he’s a libertarian, and quickly gets prickly whenever I bring up race. So, usually, I don’t.

When the topic of Jewish Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent fall, in which she fractured three ribs, came up, I made the offhand comment that I wished the old bird would die already. (more…)
