Another great C-C podcast.
I thought I’d share my Multikulti Moment.
As a kid in school in the 1960s we would get these newsletters for children called the Weekly Reader.
In one issue there was an announcement for a new Kid’s show called Sesame Street. It would debut on my Birthday which was in November of 1969. I was looking forward to it as a result.
However, when I saw the first episode air, I grimaced:
“What is this wretched inner-city Jigaboo crap.”
(I can’t remember exactly how the eight-year-old birthday boy actually phrased it.)
Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood was already airing on PBS before Sesame Street, but there wasn’t much kid’s programming on PBS at the time. I was always too old to be interested in Mr. Rogers’ TV show, so never watched it much, but my siblings did.
Some of you might remember the Mr. Rogers’ episode or rerun where Cornflake S. Pecially’s factory burned down. So sad.
When my Dad came home from work my little sister was bawling:
“Corney’s factory burned down.”
My Dad thought that Corney must’ve been some kid at school whose Dad’s factory burned down.

Yes, another fantastic show. The podcast is what makes CC consistently worth the money! Mine anyway. Antifa might not think that. Or blm.
I used to play with a black girl when I was little. I loved Sesame Street too, as I recall. I was strange.
