It seems a whole lifetime ago that we were free — not truly free, but free in comparison to whatever this is. It was a still a time of Jewish control, of subversion, and of the media and corporate power, and yet can any of us deny that it makes our current predicament seem like a complete dystopia? It was a time before the lockdowns, the Bantu riots, the police state, the regime. (more…)

We can be heroes just for one day. — David Bowie
Hans, are we the baddies? — Mitchell and Webb sketch featuring Nazi soldiers
As European and Commonwealth countries act like faithful servants to the autocratic global coup currently taking place, my own home country of England has fallen into step like a good foot-soldier. The government, nominally Conservative but actually a sort of Green Socialist elite oligarchy, has gone full Bezmenov, contradicting itself on a daily basis about COVID and preventing its people from seeing dying loved ones while it parties maskless indoors. Arguing the case for nationalism is a thankless endeavor. The powers-that-be provide instant gratification, while the negative externalities take years or decades to materialize. “Free trade” and “open borders” are the dogmata of our times; international capitalism and Left-liberalism are the two faces of the same globalist beast. Last year, it was threatened like never before. (more…)

You are much less free than you used to be just a few short years ago; this an irrefutable fact. Almost daily in 2020 and 2021 we have witnessed scenes of tyranny and repression which we would never have thought possible in modern Western states. We have looked on as Australian construction workers were riddled with rubber bullets as they rallied for their right to work without vaccine passes. We have watched tens of thousands of medical workers who were previously vaunted as heroes thrown out of their jobs because they did not comply with vaccine mandates. (more…)

De facto secession has already begun in America. Nationalist whites and non-globalist corporations are leaving blue states in droves for redder pastures. Former battleground states, such as Ohio and Iowa, are now reliably MAGA, and most MAGA states are increasingly so. Likewise, the gulags of California and New York more resemble their quondam Soviet counterparts with each passing day. De jure secession will take some time, but if history teaches us anything, it is that political changes occur functionally before they are recognized and ratified legally. (more…)

A Friendship of Differences: A Conversation with Alain de Benoist

Translated by György Balázs Kun
The following interview was published in Hungarian in the autumn 2021 issue of the journal Kommentár.
The best-known Hungarian conservative author, the greatest contemporary counter-revolutionary thinker, and the most productive Catholic philosopher of the twentieth century, Thomas Molnar, was born a hundred years ago this year. Béla Király, who is one of Alain de Benoist’s comrades-in-arms and discussion partners, conducted and translated an interview with him which reveals the two Right-wing thinkers’ parallel careers that lasted for decades. It is a relatively easy proposition to send a car over the Grand Canyon: Just put the transmission into neutral and a small push will send the car careening over the edge. Once this process has begun, however, it is almost impossible to suspend. (more…)

In the 1946 movie Humoresque, Joan Crawford describes John Garfield as “that rare animal, a New Yorker from New York.” It’s long been a joke that no one is actually from New York; you’re either an immigrant or you arrived in New York as a starry-eyed kid from the Midwest seeking big-city adventure.
