On August 15, 2024, the X account “Garbage Human” posted this image, featuring two pictures, ostensibly of the same person, one before “transitioning” and after. It remains unclear if this is the case. (more…)

The media has gotten rather predictable. Today’s journalists seem like youthful guitarists who learn two chords and are thereby qualified to join a bar band. Once you’ve seen enough stories, the tropes start to look awfully familiar. For example, in news items about mass violence or heinous deeds attributed to “youths,” “teenagers,” or some other conspicuously nondescript reporting, what really happened? (more…)

Authorities confirmed this week that human remains that had been found in western Pennsylvania earlier this month belonged to a 14-year-old “trans girl” by the name of Pauly Likens. DaShawn Watkins, a 29-year-old black male who met Likens via the dating app Grindr, has been charged with murdering Likens and dismembering his corpse. Predictably, this incident has elicited condemnations of “transphobic” conservatives (and “TERFs”), whom the Left accuses of spreading “hate” and causing “hate crimes.” (more…)

The case of Jacob Dix, who has been charged with “using fire to intimidate” during the torch march at the University of Virginia (UVA) campus in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 11, 2017, the night before the Unite the Right rally, has ended in a mistrial after the jury was unable to come to a unanimous verdict. This was the most significant setback yet for the George Soros-backed Albemarle County Commonwealth Attorney Jim Hingeley and his antifa assistant Lawton Tufts, men who decided to pursue charges against peaceful protesters six years after the fact for political reasons. This essay was originally published in July 2013, but has become relevant again in light of the recent disclosure that R. Derek Black now identifies as transsexual, as revealed in his new memoir: The Klansman’s Son: My Journey from White Nationalism to Antiracism.
Derek Black’s renunciation of White Nationalism raises questions of wider significance about how people form and reject beliefs. (more…)

Greg Johnson floated the idea of my writing an essay on Candace Owens being the Non-White Ally of 2023. I said no, because I think she is a snake. Has Candace Owens been saying good things lately? Has she been dabbling in Jewish-question territory, helping to bring some of our basic talking points to the mainstream and shifting the Overton window? I don’t deny that she has. (more…)

Although we’ve been through worse, 2023 was one of those years I’m happy to see in the rear-view mirror at last. Since the plandemic began, Clown World mutated into Scary as Hell Clown Like John Wayne Gacy World, and it hasn’t improved much. Throughout the past year, my browser’s start page never failed to bring in digital flotsam proving the point. There’s much clowning to be had, but it’s not so funny anymore. (more…)

When it comes to their ability to disappoint me, people never disappoint me. One of the biggest compliments I can give someone is “You never annoyed me,” but it’s a compliment I use sparingly — perhaps once a year.
Although I’ve skipped a year here and there, this “Most Annoying People” listicle is a tradition I started ten years ago when writing for another site. Last year for Counter-Currents I wrote about “The 22 Worst Things About 2022,” but this year I’m shifting the focus back to annoying people. (more…)

In late March when 28-year-old Audrey Hale, armed with two rifles and a handgun, blasted through the glass doors of Covenant School in Nashville and proceeded to murder six people — three nine-year-old students and three employees in their early 60s — most of the coverage hinged around the idea that Hale was a tranny.
Right off the bat, people were referring to her as the “Troonabomber” (“troon” is a portmanteau of “transgender” and “goon”) and clamored to see her “tranifesto.” (more…)
