When I found out that there was a 1975 Nazi-themed blaxploitation — or perhaps a black-themed Nazisploitation — movie called The Black Gestapo about a militant black organization that patterns itself after the SS, I knew I was going to watch it. You can’t make a movie called The Black Gestapo and expect me not to watch it. I’m glad I did, because it is a funny little time capsule piece that ties together various strains of 1970s pop culture fascinations. For one, it mixes elements of multiple genres of exploitation films. (more…)

Jim Goad has produced a short video to accompany his latest essay, “The Banana as a Hate Symbol,” on a recent kerfuffle in Texas over a banana holder that was used as a prop at a Texas city council meeting — and on whether the conventional wisdom that blacks are associated with bananas because of monkeys is in fact correct. (more…)

“A Monkey-Themed Banana Holder Is Tearing a Texas City Apart” reads a Daily Beast headline that attributes so much magical voodoo power to a banana holder, one suspects it may have been written by a black person. (more…)

According to legend, an independent, truthful, and unbiased press is a vital pillar of democracy. There’s a certain mystique about intrepid journalists facing the night and storm in their trench coats and fedoras, out to fight corruption and bring the powerful to heel, armed only with their pens and notepads. Their aim was nothing but the truth: “Just the facts, Ma’am.” (more…)

Author’s Note: I’m going to put the word “accelerationism” in quotes as to not give the idea more credibility than it deserves.
Probably the most annoying argument I frequently hear from the online Right is that what we need is “accelerationism.” (more…)

Stories cannot substitute for historical facts, even when people want them to be true — but as a result of Black Lives Matter’s influence, resurrecting the atrocities of Western colonialism has become fashionable. George Floyd’s death revived a torrent of anti-colonialism in Western societies fueled by resounding demands for governments to atone for colonialism’s sins. Although, the colonial legacy of the Western powers is tainted by dastardly acts, exaggerations of violence must be condemned. Using history as a political tool only pollutes public discourse in the long run. (more…)

A near-perfect embodiment of our current-day troubles has recently metastasized in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon. If the following story has thus far escaped your notice, good. There is nothing inherently interesting or important about this latest discharge of middleweight trash-talk, but what this drama so neatly represents – well, that’s a different story. (more…)

The French-language news portal Breizh-Info has published a long interview in French with Hungarian Member of Parliament László Toroczkai, who is the leader of the opposition nationalist parliamentary group Mi Hazánk Mozgalom. The following is an English translation.
László Toroczkai has been a leading figure in Hungarian nationalism for 25 years. His biography has few equals in this political milieu. He began as a young parliamentary assistant working with the Hungarian Justice and Life Party, or MIÉP, in the late 1990s, which was a nationalist party that had parliamentary representation between 1998 and 2002. A Martyr Speaks
CPA Book Publishers, 1994White racialism is demonized in Western countries today, but this was not always so, and will not always be so. Our race consists not only of the millions of white people alive today, but also includes our ancestors and descendants, who live today in us, for their blood flows through our veins. They are relying on us to do the hard work of building a better future for our people. (more…)

White people commonly respond to demands for reparations for slavery and slave trading by pointing out that it was whites who abolished these things.[1] I don’t know whether they notice that this doesn’t get them the credit from their antagonists that they seem to expect; they certainly don’t appear to see why this is. By Way of Conclusion
The conclusion is pretty mopey, as usual. For example:
The situation that I have examined, it is clear by now, is not a classic one. Scientific objectivity was barred to me, for the alienated, the neurotic, was my brother, my sister, my father. I have ceaselessly striven to show the Negro that in a sense he makes himself abnormal; to show the white man that he is at once the perpetrator and the victim of a delusion. (more…)

Frantz Fanon’s Black Skin, White Masks:
A Primary Text of Post-Colonial Jive
Part 12,877 words
Part 1 of 4 (Part 2 here)
Frantz Fanon was a black author who mostly wrote about being black. (Of course, right?) The celebrated skintellectual began as a citizen of Martinique. He volunteered for the De Gaullist forces during the Second World War. Then he got a university education on scholarship in Lyon and became a psychiatrist.
What would he have done had he stayed in Martinique — editing some sad Leftist rag in Fort-de-France, perhaps? If that didn’t work out, then like many other islanders he could’ve earned his daily bread with a machete, chopping down bananas or sugar cane all day under the tropical Sun. (more…)
