There is a glimmer of hope here in the north amid the crushing misery. Even though the president-elect has yet to be formally inaugurated, the Donald J. Trump effect has had a wide-ranging political and metapolitical impact like the blast wave from a colossal high explosive detonation. When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was summoned to Mar-A-Lago last month, Trump quite rightly threatened little potato Trudeau with 25% tariffs on all Canadian goods if he did not get his house in order as far as immigration, security, drug trafficking, and defence spending were concerned. The weighty message sent Trudeau into panic mode, which will soon bring down his disastrous reign.
The fallout from this impactful meeting has been awesome. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau —aka Governor Trudeau of the Great State of Canada— suffered a huge body blow as his most trusted cabinet minister, Chrystia Freeland, resigned recently. You may know her as the dumpy, self-deluded Oompa Loompa schoolmarm who annoyed the hell out of everyone during North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) negotiations during Trump’s first term.
Freeland posted her resignation letter on social media. It speaks to deep divisions on how to deal with the prospect of the aforementioned 25% tariff slapped on Canadian goods and other issues. It reads, in part, as follows:
On Friday, you told me you no longer want me to serve as your Finance Minister and offered me another position in the cabinet.
Upon reflection, I have concluded that the only honest and viable path is for me to resign from the cabinet.
To be effective, a Minister must speak on behalf of the Prime Minister and with his full confidence. In making your decision, you made clear that I no longer credibly enjoy that confidence and possess the authority that comes with it.
For the past number of weeks, you and I have found ourselves at odds about the best path forward for Canada.
Our country today faces a grave challenge. The incoming administration in the United States is pursuing a policy of aggressive economic nationalism, including a threat of 25 per cent tariffs.
We need to take that threat extremely seriously. That means keeping our fiscal powder dry today, so we have the reserves we may need for a coming tariff war. That means eschewing costly political gimmicks, which we can ill afford and which make Canadians doubt that we recognize the gravity of the moment.
That means pushing back against ‘America First’ economic nationalism with a determined effort to fight for capital and investment and the jobs they bring. That means working in good faith and humility with the premiers of the provinces and territories of our great and diverse country, and building a true Team Canada response.
I know Canadians would recognize and respect such an approach. They know when we are working for them, and they equally know when we are focused on ourselves. Inevitably, our time in government will come to an end. But how we deal with the threat our country currently faces will define us for a generation, and perhaps longer. Canada will win if we are strong, smart, and united.
It is this conviction which has driven my strenuous efforts this fall to manage our spending in ways that will give us the flexibility we will need to meet the serious challenges presented by the United States.
It is obvious from this resignation letter, that Trump got his revenge against Freeland and the Trudeau regime; and he did it with a smile.
In 2015, Trudeau chose Freeland as minister of international trade in his first cabinet; she would then become foreign minister in 2017. In 2019, Freeland took on the role of deputy prime minister, a position that was created by Justin Trudeau’s father Pierre Trudeau in 1977. In 2020 she was awarded one of the most important positions in cabinet: finance minister. She held those two latter positions until her surprise resignation on Monday.
The president-elect had this to say on social media about the outgoing finance minister, Freeland:
The Great State of Canada is stunned as the Finance Minister resigns, or was fired, from her position by Governor Justin Trudeau. Her behavior was totally toxic, and not at all conducive to making deals which are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada. She will not be missed!!!
Trump had firsthand experience dealing with Freeland during NAFTA organizations during his first term hence his apt use of the word “toxic”. Trump has a long memory and does not forget slights.
In 2018, during those painful trade negotiations Trump had this to say about her: “We’re very unhappy with the negotiations and the negotiating style of Canada – we don’t like their representative very much.” Moreover, Trump said he turned down a meeting with Trudeau about Canadian protectionism at that time as well: ““because [Trudeau’s] tariffs are too high and he doesn’t seem to want to move – and I told him: ‘Forget about it.’”
Anyone with a shred of self-respect couldn’t stand to listen to Freeland’s high-pitched condescending speeches about the economy or her laughter when freezing trucker bank accounts. She had absolutely no business in one of the most important portfolios in any government as she twitched her way through press conferences like an Adderall-addled dwarf with Tourette’s. Her self-deluded narcissism was disturbing as she wore ridiculous clothes, picked her toes contemptuously in the House of Commons, walked around barefoot at G7 meetings, and flew to Davos, Switzerland to meet with fellow World Economic Forum (WEF) globalist shills.
Apparently, stumpy Freeland had a falling-out with Governor Trudeau over the 2024 Fall Economic Statement, which was long overdue. It was set to be delivered on Monday, December 16, if you can believe it. That is how dysfunctional the Trudeau regime has become. The only thing they have been adept at is carrying out orders from their globalist overlords on how to destroy our erstwhile beautiful country. Up until 2015, when Trudeau took power, Canada was doing well economically; although our immigration levels had a lot to be desired, they were not genocidally out of control like they are now.
In other news it turns out that Jagmeet Singh, whose turban couldn’t get any more ridiculous looking, will not pull the plug on this government. Singh’s New Democratic Party (NDP) has been slavishly supporting Trudeau since 2021. Even though that is a bad thing, the good thing is that his credibility is at its nadir. The diminutive, bearded Punjabi with his oversized turban, was spotted driving an expensive Maserati supercar even though he is supposed to represent working people and champion the downtrodden. He, like so many of those hypocrites on the Left, is prone to conspicuous consumption like migrants who’ve just received their monthly stipend from the nanny state. Even though they are technically both part of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, Singh attacked Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre during Question Period; Poilievre retorted perfectly by calling Sing a “Maserati Marxist”.
In a desperate attempt to curry favour with the electorate, Trudeau announced that there would be a sales tax holiday over Christmas. As far as the citizenry are concerned, it’s like putting a band-aid on a woodchipped Minnesotan as run-away inflation caused by government overspending has caused a cost of living crisis in the country. By every fiscal metric available, Trudeau and his minions have been a disaster. Matthew Lau sums up Trudeau-induced fiscal insanity nicely:
So, to recap, since Trudeau took office, average incomes are 17 per cent [sic] lower than what they would be if Canada tracked with the U.S., business investment is down, taxes and the federal bureaucracy are much more expansive, public debt is higher and outcomes are worse in health care, safety and any other sector or service with increased federal involvement. Economic and social trends that were doing well or improving before Trudeau came to power are now doing worse, in some cases significantly so. Until someone has the time to write several large books to document in more detail the severely negative outcomes Canadians have suffered under Trudeau, this short review will have to suffice.
The fact that Chrystia Freeland, the shrill, corpulent garden gnome has resigned is great news. The government will soon fall. I guarantee that now as I write this. In fact, if an election were held today, it is projected that Trudeau’s Liberals would suffer their worst electoral defeat in history, Justin could even lose his own seat in the Montreal riding of Papineau. Trump can add yet another scalp to his growing collection; with more to come. There’s no better Christmas present then seeing Leftist governments on the brink of dissolution.

“The fallout from this impactful meeting has been awesome”.
We should avoid managerialisms and managerial speak in our writing and speaking. It sounds stupid and we need to hold ourselves to a much higher standard and a much better aesthetic.
If I may. ‘This meeting has already had a significant impact on Trudeau’s government. Some of the fallout is already strewn upon the ground.”
The same is true for using the idioms and vernacular of The Regime and its pets. Something isn’t, “baller”, nor is someone a, “baller.” Something is excellent or outstanding and someone is an exemplar, a throwback to an era of better men … …
Our language will shape us. It will distinguish us or it will degrade us. Culture’s Latin root is cultivar – to cultivated. Let’s return our culture to a better state worthy of our ancestral past. Even a state of what was standard 150 years ago would be excellent by today’s standards that rest upon the babbling and pidgins of brutes and savages. I am not calling you a brute or a savage.
I am merely trying to help us out. In addition to our language, we should cultivate our musical and visual expression and tastes as well.

Good article! That silver-spoon trust fund baby never held a real job in life, except as a part -time drama coach at a private high school in Vancouver, and skate -board instructor! He thinks that he is part of the globalist elite, as the “born to rule FDR, Winnie Churchill, Mao-Tse Tung and Fidel Castro( his real father!)..! Junior Trudeau will stay in power with his boots on and he’s not going to, anywhere! He will bankrupt the country and just in 2023, over 1, 000, 000 migrants ( all 3rd world!), entered Canada and there is a globalist plan ( “century initiative 2100) to make the population, to make the population to 100, 000, 000..! By that time, there won’t be enough whites to make Canada nor the USA viable nations, so a, “North American Union”, will be necessity for survival against a very hostile world! And when the electric power stations and grid collapse…..scary..!
Funny play with the male replicating Trudeau’s voice to a tee. https://x.com/ryangerritsen/status/1870993134244790563
