Ernie Kovacs and his ensemble, The Nairobi Trio with “Solfeggio” – quite a catchy tune; a mixture of hubristic bombast and helpless infantile naivety apposite for the subject matter of this video essay. I’ve never heard of Ernie Kovacs before. Reading about him, he was quite a celebrity back in the day in the US – kind of like a less acidic American version of my own country’s Peter Sellers.
Ernie Kovacs was the first great TV surrealist. I’d say he’s still unmatched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWdEr1XaLrw

I thought the music in the video was perfect, and I’m glad you posted this. Had no idea where it came from.
Very Goadesque to reference The Nairobi Trio’s ouvre.
