Jim Goad has produced a short film to accompany his latest essay, “Reggie Jackson’s Tortured Negro Soul,” on the fact that although he’s widely considered a baseball legend in America, slugger Reggie Jackson still can’t get over the racism he allegedly encountered in his youth. (more…)

As the ancient African proverb says, “You should never chimp out on a gorilla.”

Histrionic, grandiose, and absolutely repulsive to behold, he is easily the slimiest and most suspicious character ever to leave a shit stain on these circles. (more…)

As the saying goes, “White men can’t jump.” That’s as may be, but black men can’t do math, yet you don’t see Hollywood filming a whole movie about it. I wish they would; it’d be hilarious. (more…)

I’ve been thinking about Canada a lot lately, mainly because of the truckers, and mainly because I’m preparing to review George Grant’s Lament for a Nation with my true blue Canuck friend Endeavour on Sunday’s Writers’ Bloc (10 PM CET, 4 PM EST, 1 PM PST). The review’s been a long time coming, predating the truckers. It even predates the current iteration of The Writers’ Bloc. (more…)

Siberia: The Last Great White Refuge?
To the abject dismay and brooding disgruntlement of many of my Nordic brethren, I hate the winter with every last freckle on my shoulders and have often said that the best thing about European exploration and colonialism is that it enabled white people to finally live in places that had good weather. A long time ago, in a magical kingdom tucked safely away from the flaming hell we currently inhabit, there used to be this crazy, hate-filled idea that if some groups performed better on average than other groups regarding any given task, it’s highly likely that the main reason for this is that they simply were better than other groups at that task. It was so pure and innocent in its reasoning that someone invariably had to come and fuck it all up. (more…)
