My best Christmas present this year was the sudden emergence of a genuine American challenger to Vivek Scamaswamy, Trump’s anointed candidate for Ohio governor. The challenger’s name is Casey Putsch. As soon as he declared his intent to run, he became the favorite of the online identitarian Right, and his candidacy went viral.
Let’s make his name into an omen. In German, “Putsch” means a revolution or coup d’état. In this case, the goal is to overthrow Donald Trump as the CEO of MAGA Inc., or the capo di tutti i capi of the MAGA mafia, take your pick.
Trump may represent a break with Republican orthodoxy on immigration and globalization. But he’s still totally beholden to the idea that racism is the worst sin for a white person (and only a white person), and he is willing to go to ridiculous extremes to shake that accusation, including the Platinum Plan, pardons for rappers, sentencing reform in exchange for photo ops from other retarded rappers, and now missile strikes to pander to obscene rap divas.
Thus Trump is a sucker for the consummate Boomer Republican trick of endorsing unqualified affirmative action candidates: Herschel Walker, Mohammed Genghis Oz, Winsome Sears, and now Vivek Scamaswamy.
I wish Trump all the best on his immigration battles. But here, he is aligned with the Great Replacement, as well as dying anti-white dogmas. Beyond that, it is simply insulting for Trump to decide to exile a disgraced courtier . . . and then settle on Ohio, as if it were the furthest corner of his realm. Why not American Samoa? Why not make him ambassador to Papua New Guinea?
Trump and Vivek both deserve to lose in Ohio.
Casey Putsch is running to win. I hope he does win. But it is even more important that Vivek lose. I’d prefer that Vivek lose in the primary. Thus our movement needs to go all in on Putsch in the primary. We want him to become governor.
But if Vivek slithers his way into the nomination, our movement needs to focus on making him lose, even if Ohio ends up with a Jewish Democrat governor.
If it comes to that, I hope Casey Putsch will be on our side. I hope he will stay in the race as an independent, just to bloody the nose of MAGA Inc.
Our overall goal here is to prove to ourselves and our adversaries that we have built an electoral coalition that must be pandered to like any other interest group. We want to win. And if we don’t win, we will tank Republican candidates out of spite or rational calculation. Looked at individually, each spiteful act is irrational: you are willing to hurt yourself to hurt your enemies. But having a reputation for spite is rational in the long term, since it communicates that one must simply be appeased, not trifled or bargained with—because you are willing to suffer to hurt your enemies. The system controls us through rational self-interest. But it is not in our rational self-interest to be controllable. Thus it is in our rational self interest to chimp out and act spiteful every once in a while. This would be the electoral equivalent of a nuclear exchange, where you are guaranteed to suffer if you make your enemies suffer as well. But we know the conservatives have a lot more to lose than we do.
Our coalition will consist of populists, nationalists, the youth, and previously unengaged voters. They may not identify as White Nationalists, but they see America as their homeland instead of an economic zone. They sense there is something more to being an American than a passport or abstract values. America is their birthright. You shouldn’t be able to lose your birthright, but it is being stolen by people like Vivek Scamaswamy, with the help of people like Donald Trump. And, just as Jews drive the Democrat and Republican coalitions, we will be the ones driving this coalition, even if we are not the majority.
One would think that Trump’s endorsement of Vivek would assure him of an easy victory. Trump won Ohio by 11% in 2024. For generic midterm ballot polling, the Democrats currently have a small plus 4% advantage when they had a plus 12.9% advantage at the same point in Trump’s first term. And Trump’s approval rating among 18–29 year-olds of all races previously slumped to -22 but has apparently risen to a neutral zero according to Insider Advantage. Furthermore, Vivek is running against Amy Acton, a Jew and Covid extremist. Nonetheless, Vivek recently sent a text message to his supporters lamenting that his latest polls show him already trailing to Acton 46% to 47%.
It’s still hotly debated to this day what effect the old Alt Right had on Trump’s 2016 victory. It’s delusional to claim we voted him into the White House. I’m open to the possibility that we memed him there. But we don’t have any hard data.
The Ohio race will finally provide us and our adversaries in the GOP with hard data. Can we flip a swing state, or force the GOP to spend an inordinate amount on preventing us from doing so? If we can, we can force the mainstream conservatives to finally treat us as a legitimate interest group just like everyone else. Of course, our ultimate goal is to take over. But in the meantime, we can pressure them to enact policies that we like and veto policies that we dislike, which will hasten our final victory.
Ohio is the perfect testing ground. It used to be very much middle America not just geographically but also demographically. This made Ohio data easy to extrapolate to other states, including swing states. You could run a simulation based on Ohio, with a few slight changes to demographic variables. While Ohio is no longer as much of a bellwether as it used to be due to the Great Replacement, any data from the 2026 election will still be highly informative. Especially for predicting the behavior of white voters nationwide.
Even without the Epstein scandal or the MAGA civil war, the near future is Trumpism without Trump simply because he cannot run for another term. Either MAGA will slip into the comfort of senile Reaganism, or the 2016 Revolution will continue to become even more radical. Ohio will set the stage for that fight.
Vivek is backed up by the Jewish and Indian ethnic mafias, capitalists greedy for cheap labor, vapid civic nationalists, lots of money, Elon or other people within X rigging the algorithm, and Trump’s endorsement.
Putsch has memes, energy, truth, and disaffected voters who want America First in policy as well as name. More importantly, he has voters who reject civic nationalism even if they do not have a well-developed ideological alternative yet.
The strongest difference is between the candidates themselves.
Vivek is an anchor baby, whose father still isn’t a citizen despite living in America for 40 years and whose mother didn’t obtain citizenship until Vivek was an adult. A year ago on Christmas during the Great H1B War, he trash-talked white Americans as lazy and stupid, which is ironic given how poorly behaved his own children are on stage at his events.
Vivek shamelessly took a $50,000 scholarship to attend law school at Yale (he probably stole a seat from a white man via affirmative action) when he was already making $750,000 a year. The scholarship was from the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. Paul and Daisy just so happen to be the brother and sister-in law of George Soros. This was after he became a hedge fund manager, shortly after finishing his undergraduate degree, which our writer Rich Houck observed usually takes about 15-20 years to achieve.
It is also claimed that Vivek and his family were involved in a pump and dump scheme to fleece investors of billions for an Alzheimer’s medication that had already failed four clinical trials.
When Vivek began to pursue the Republican presidential nomination, he cloned Trump’s platform, hoping to inherit Trump’s voters if Democrat lawfare removed him from the race. It was so transparent a scam that it was almost cute.
And now this serial scammer is trying to con Ohio voters into making him their governor.
Casey Putsch is known as the “Casey the Car Guy” from his YouTube channel, but that is a major understatement. He might come across as the friendly mechanic next door, but he is a genius. He founded Genius Garage, an educational nonprofit which offers elite internships and mentoring for automotive and aerospace engineering. He earned the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for over 8,000 hours of volunteer service in education. He also designed the Omega Car in 2008, which is a high efficiency diesel vehicle. Casey Putsch is the type of American who took us to the moon at a time of primitive computers.
They said Trump would never win in 2016. Yet he did. But he failed to study why he won due to arrogance, just as the Left failed to do so out of hysteria. Liberal democracy is the fine art of not giving the people what they want. To beat the system, you simply need to offer the people what they want. The people want social conservatism minus vicious capitalist exploitation and open borders. It will be peak irony if Casey Putsch beats a Trump-backed candidate by adopting the Trump playbook.
As David Zsutty observed, Trump treats his friends like employees whom he can boss around, while he treats his enemies like rival businessmen with whom he must make deals. Trump might not like it, but the online Right backing Casey Putsch against Vivek is the reasonably foreseeable outcome of such behavior. Business is about acquiring wealth; politics is about acquiring power. Wealth and power are two very different things. Rewarding one’s friends and punishing one’s enemies is the key to political power. But Trump abuses his friends and courts his enemies. Thus it is rational to become Trump’s enemy.
Why should American identitarians care about a race in Ohio? Because it will be a test. If we can veto Vivek in Ohio in 2026, we can veto the Republican presidential nominee in 2028.
Our demands are fundamentally reasonable and easy to accommodate: Don’t replace us in our own homeland. It is a shame that we might have to be unreasonable to get the GOP to listen.

I first heard of Casey Putsch from his interview on Tucker Carlson.
Aside from moving to Ohio and voting, making financial contributions, how can we help Mr. Putsch in a coordinated way?
One thing that really stands out is the contrast between Putsch’s life and Fraudaswamy’s life. Mr. Putsch’s life is the quintessential, self-made genius who learns by doing and inventing not passing tests and getting handed titles and jobs in exchange for fealty. I think that is the line of attack that is most obvious. With AI perhaps we can make ads that show that schism clearly. The other crucial thing is that this vector of attack must find the right audience. Those photos of him with chad cops and gullible aging Christians are sickening. We must get the story of the American Man by virtue of his blood and his actions vs. the Invader/Interloper sponsored by global power in front of those cops rank and file, in front of the abandoned parishioners … … Perhaps we can use AI for that. Of course that can be stopped by the Theil/Musk network. So, how would we get those out to real the real people of Ohio?
I suspect Trump didn’t banish Vivek to Ambassador to Calcutta because Theil and others had a hand in his re-assignment.
Great essay as always Greg. I think that for us, the best outcome would be Mr. Putsch as Governor. However, a great victory would be a campaign in Ohio that has national visibility where Vivek is so thoroughly discredited that his career in politics, at least in the GOP, is over. Let him fight Mamdani for office in Dem primaries. That would be a victory over colorblind civic nationalism being used as a Trojan horse for total White dispossession and replacement.
As important, we should help promote Mr. Putsch in a such a way that even if he loses the primary or the general election he is politically ascendant. His life is a great story. He should be the poster child for American renewal and repossession.
Two solid outcomes we can achieve are in sight. I am curious how we would organize and execute the Great Ohio Putsch. Btw, this kind of constructive action and being engaged and ready to pounce on these kinds of opportunities is a great argument for getting out of the blame the [insert-the-group] online game and into the game of grooming champions and grooming a machine that can opportunistically support unforeseen champions.
The scholarship Vivek won was merit based, meaning it went by grades and scores, irrespective of his financial position. I might have been nice and left it for more needy people, but he didn’t have to. Yale law school has been described as the single most selective institution on the planet. You typically need near perfect grades and lsats to get in, in addition to some superpower.

Oh that of course. I think I conflated one of Pusch’s tweets with your statements. A “scholarship” to Yale law is like giving to the already rich anyway.
Perhaps that is true and Vivek is some genius at passing the selection mechanism. But what has he invented as a businessman? What great contribution has he made to the legal profession? What great contribution to math, science, engineering, industry, the arts and sciences has he made? Yes. He went to his piano lessons and can barely play something from a beginner piano book and did great on his LSAT. And? <crickets>
But compare him to Casey Putsch. Has Vivek done anything as a tangible achievement in the real world that compares to Mr. Putsch’s inventions? Has Vivek done anything to help Americans, Heritage Americans? Here is a good meme. While Vivek was studying for the LSAT, Casey Putsch was inventing a new car. While Vivek was denigrating Americans, Mr. Putsch was giving his all to help them.

I haven’t seen data for the LSAT, but the SAT tends to lose its meaningfulness in the upper decile (top 10% of scorers) i.e. the correlation between SAT score and real IQ breaks down, leading to an iconic “sickle”-shaped graph. That’s why whenever Ivy League students were actually IQ tested they scored around 125 rather than the ca. 135 that they scored at the SAT (“SAT IQ”).
For a proper ability measurement, you have to assure that the people tested aren’t used to the test questions too much, but with intense competition for high SAT/LSAT scores, we get the literal opposite!
If everyone trains a lot, you select for those who excel at training a mental skill to perfection – which is nice, but not intelligence in the sense of raw, fluid ability applicable to any problem. Rather, it’s archetypical crystallized intelligence (crystallized means that you’ve learned an algorithm or mental process and are able to apply it rapidly and accurately).
I hope journos don’t get the idea to have the man disavow white nat and raysism and etc in all its forms. Maybe he won’t bite or has a non answer ready but I hate seeing people get excited about a candidate and then they say something lame.

If I recall correctly, I believe that Trump once said something to the effect that immigrants should love America and love Americans. Lots of Emanations and Penumbras flow from that standard. Perhaps Mr. Putsch will explore that standard in Vivek’s background and record.
We have come so far from the terrible democrat Strickland. Vivek may not be that great, but Ohio does not need another democrat to turn Ohio into a far left state. Our gun laws are great, illegals are not too bad, and we seem to have avoided much of the looting, BLM and so much more. Keep Ohio safe and conservative and vote for Vivek to keep Ohio that way. I am for the White race and a nationalist. I lived through Strickland and his mess and do not want another flaming Democrat back here to make Ohio a leftist sate.

The object of the exercise is to punish the Republican Party by not allowing them to get away with just being ‘less awful than the Democrats’- If the conservatives can continue to rely on White Americans voting for them simply by virtue of the fact that they are (marginally?) less anti-White than the Democrats, they will never see a reason to actually court the votes of White Americans by pursuing pro-White policies.
The problem is that the bad guys are going to be rewarded by the big special-interest financing anyway. That is what the Never Trumpers were counting on ─ only Trump actually won in 2016, and then again in 2024, so now they hold their noses and pretend to be MAGA while longing for better days with another Kosher Conservative, or failing that, another reliable System Democrat.
Supporting the Democrat after a failed GOP Primary is hardly helpful and only digs deeper into the quagmire without teaching anything of value to the GOP when they can always get their Kosher funding elsewhere.
What has to happen is that the GOP gets changed fundamentally. The old yin and yang strategies just aren’t working anymore. So it is better to build solid foundations and to dump the resources into good Primary fights to begin with.
Spite does not win future elections. Even if the new GOP runner sucks and is undeserving of much beyond token support, the Democrat runner is literally from the cesspits of hell. Always. The dialectic should be clear and unwavering to the stupidest White voter.
Nothing is worse for morale than being wishy washy about whose side is deserving of the “smart” money. So put the real investment and support into the better GOP candidates ─ stick to it ─ and change will come.

I hate to sound like a snarky schmuck, but this seems to be a 180 from your article, I think it was during the 2024 election, arguing in favor of voting for Trump. Your banger in that article was your argument that even though Trump isn’t perfect, elections are graded on a curve. So what is different in this case here?
Yes, that’s true. But there’s less at stake in Ohio than in the national election, so it is a good laboratory for determining if the race-conscious white vote can veto establishment candidates. But to do that, we’ve got to be able to suffer the alternative for the long-term benefit of becoming a group that has to be placated by the establishment. You can’t really achieve that if you aren’t willing to swing the outcome. It would be good to make Ohio a test of this, because if we can plausibly swing the race, that means that Republicans in other state-wide and national elections will have to factor us in.
Thank you for your reply. I see where you are coming from. Since immigration is a federal matter and largely in the hands of the of executive branch, of course with the more than occasional subversive judge trying mental gymnastics saying otherwise, I see why there is a different standard for Trump than for Vivek. I think Republicans have to grasp that they are now the party of implicit/explicit whiteness.
I forgot if it was you or perhaps Kevin DeAnna, who said on your Christmas podcast that it is almost as if the GOP wants to lose elections so that things can go back to where they were. The old model of immigration is good for big business which means it’s good for everyone.
Kevin Deanna also said defying judges is paramount to any political power player.
