Race realist movies?
I’d recommend:
Dogs of War
Lord of War
The first involves a team of White mercenaries launching a coup in a fourth world African country.
The second involves an international arms dealer who hustles weaponry in (among other places) a fourth world African country.
Both movies are unrelenting in their portrayal of African dysfunction (perhaps a little over the top at points, though you could consider the condition of former American cities like Detroit). The mighty White man moves among the Africans akin to a Hegelian warrior overlord, oblivious to those below him.
In Dogs of War, Christopher Walken’s mercenary leader navigates the world of international intrigue, offs various African opponents, and pushes his man into office.
In Lord of War, Nicolas Cage’s arms dealer wears his business suit in the worst tropical war zones without breaking a sweat while selling weapons for the greater glory of whatever.
And when YT slips up…In Dogs of War, the one merc who shows mercy to an African civilian gets shot in the back for his humane gesture.
Same in Lord of War, the one White man who tries to prevent a massacre of civilians ends up being killed…and does not prevent the massacre.
High caliber Social Darwinism, dudes and dudettes.
Runner up: the similarly titled War Dogs. Based loosely on a true story about a couple of gun runners who tried to hustle the East (Europeans) and ended up with some karmic blowback.
