The Counter-Currents 2019 Fundraiser
Down to the Wire
On October 18, an essay appeared at Current Affairs entitled, “What is Žižek For?” by Thomas Moller-Nielsen. As you might expect from the title, it is a takedown of the high-profile Lacanian-Marxist philosopher Slavoj Žižek.
I found this to be an interesting read for a variety of reasons, the first of which was because of nomenclature. (more…)
Whatever its contemporary associations, the natural home of political ecology lies on the Right – not the false Right associated with the Republican Party in America, of course, whose conservatism is little more than a desperate and self-destructive attachment to the liberal principles of the Enlightenment, but what Julius Evola has called the True Right: (more…)
London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared and battle come down
–The Clash (1979)
Forty years ago this month, the punk poet Joe Strummer penned his apocalyptic lyrics, heralding a step-change in the ongoing culture war that has dogged Britain for decades and reduced our nation’s capital city to a multiracial melting pot akin to the Tower of Babel. (more…)
Into the Dark: Pilgrim (2019)
Directed by Marcus Dunstan
Written by Noah Feinberg, Marcus Dunstan, & Patrick Melton
Starring Reign Edwards, Kerr Smith, & Courtney Henggeler
A Counter-Currents classic first published in 2017.
The annual American ritual. The annual American ordeal. The overcooked turkey that takes forever to come out of the oven. Those little round rolls, hard as flint. That sweet potato and marshmallow (yes, marshmallow) casserole that has no name but ought to be called “carbicide.” (more…)

Feast Your Mind at Counter-Currents
On behalf of everyone at Counter-Currents, I want to wish all our US readers safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving. (And please don’t let your dogs eat turkey bones.) Here are a few past articles on Thanksgiving for your edification:
A Race for the North: Another Fairy Tale for Children of European Descent
What better way to inoculate young minds against the degeneracy of the modern world than by telling new stories and making these stories look old? Young white kids need a past they can hold on to and be proud of; such a thing is crucial for the development of a positive identity. (more…)
I and millions of other North Americans are currently mentally preparing to meet our relatives for Thanksgiving, in addition to the heap of essential menial tasks like food preparation, cleaning, pulling out suitable clothes, and deciding whether I want to attend the high school’s football game. (more…)
Remember The Wire?
The HBO television series was Barack Obama’s favorite series and a main item on Stuff White People Like (SWPL).
The Wire ran for five seasons from 2002 to 2008. The show is set in Baltimore – the city President Donald Trump called a “rodent-infested mess” – and focuses on drug dealers and the cops who pursue them. (more…)
Technological Censorings of America for Make Benefit Glorious League of Anti-Defamations
I am old enough to remember a time where you could get instant laughs by saying jagshemash. It was a mythical era known as the mid-2000s. Life was simpler and slower, but it was richer than our hyper-digitized era. It was the last quarter of the Bush era; the defining political issue of the day was America’s foreign adventurism and imperialism. (more…)
Did Tara Westover Really Walk Away from Her Right-Wing Roots?
Educated: A Memoir
New York: Penguin, 2018
The original marketing plan for Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover was as a “fish-out-of-water” story. In this case the fish is young Tara, the daughter of survivalist, fundamentalist Mormons who live off the grid in Idaho. (more…)
Warning: contains spoilers.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is an incredible artistic achievement and one of the most ambitious puppet productions ever made. A prequel to Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal (1982) consisting of ten hour-long episodes, the show is faithful to the spirit of its predecessor and explores the universe of Thra in breathtaking detail. (more…)
This time of year, when autumn fades into winter, has been particularly evocative to me ever since I was a child. Of course, “the holiday season” has a special meaning for many people, and their reasons are probably for the most part quite similar to mine. There is a shared seasonal nostalgia for the cold autumn air, the brilliant foliage, Jack-o’-lanterns and Christmas trees, eggnog and pumpkin pie and sugar cookies, Halloween costumes and Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas mornings. (more…)
The Counter-Currents 2019 Fundraiser
Two Pieces of Good News
- To help us reach our fundraising goal this year, in the face of corporate censorship and deplatforming, a donor has offered us a $400 matching grant. Since I want to encourage our supporters to explore crypto-currencies, especially Bitcoin, this matching grant will apply strictly to crypto donations, and the deadline is Friday, November 29.
- The limited edition of Toward a New Nationalism is now in print and will ship to purchasers in December. All copies will be in the mail by December 14.

Anna Merlan’s Republic of Lies:
Worst. Book. Ever.
Republic of Lies: American Conspiracy Theorists and Their Surprising Rise to Power
New York: Henry Holt, 2019
Anna Merlan’s Republic of Lies exemplifies the typical Leftist outrage over the recent rise of nationalism on the Right. Instead of taking on Right-wing concerns in order to refute them, however, Merlan attempts to smear and discredit Right-wing people – who are mostly white – as deranged conspiracy nuts with a weakness for snake oil and demagoguery. (more…)
The following text is an extensively revised transcript of my talk in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Sunday, September 22, on the occasion of the publication of the Swedish translation of The White Nationalist Manifesto. I want to thank Pál Csató for the transcript as well as my Swedish hosts and audience. (more…)
Lost Highway is probably not a lot of people’s favorite David Lynch film. I would rank it in the lower rungs of his canon. But it is still a masterful film that draws me back again and again.
The big question about Lost Highway is what actually happens. This movie has a plot that you can fully summarize without really spoiling it, because the meaning is never really given away. (more…)
I caught a few episodes of Nick Fuentes’ show off and on before the whole Groyper War began, and have followed recent developments with great interest. I’ve seen the small handful of out-of-context clips they’ve used to try to frame him as racist, anti-Semitic, White Nationalist, Alt-Right 2.0, and as a Holocaust denier. These smears are a transparent attempt by anti-American “liberals” and “conservatives” to silence a rising star who speaks for the sixty-three million Americans who voted for Donald Trump. (more…)
Much ink has been spilled on the decline of Detroit, once nicknamed the “Paris of the West.” Conservatives credit its failures to Democratic leadership while Leftists of all flavors conclude it’s Big Racism: America’s largest industry. (more…)
Video of the Day
How Diversity is Taking Its Toll on Children’s Friendships
A video has been made of Richard Houck’s article concerning one of the less obvious destructive effects immigration and multiculturalism are having on white societies: depriving white children of the ability to form lasting friendships with others like themselves. (more…)
Americans do not have a white racial consciousness because we never needed one. We no longer have a choice. It was simply understood that the United States were founded by white men exclusively for their posterity. America was never an idea, or merely a geographic entity, for our forefathers.
