Let’s Not Be Trump’s Chumps

Matt Parrott

859 words

alg-donald-trump-jpgIt’s been a great summer to be a White Nationalist. The Charleston Massacre was certainly a tragedy for the victims and a misfortune for our cause, but the Left’s ham-fisted overreaction has convinced more Americans than ever of what we’ve been trying to tell them all along: This system is looking for any and every excuse and opportunity possible to disrespect, disempower, and displace White Americans, their communities, their families, and their symbols.

Even the assault on the confederate battle flag is great news for nationalists (and not just Southern Nationalists), because the popular discourse is shaping up along stark lines: Are you pro-White or anti-White?

True to the fate of the men who marched with it, it’s better for the flag to fall while remaining a symbol of White Southern defiance than to remain standing as a co-opted “Rainbow Confederate” symbol of the corrupted and cuckolded “New South.” Rednecks across America who happen to have a “rebel flag” on their back windshield are being forced to ask themselves a polarizing question: Am I proud of or ashamed of my White heritage and identity?

The lost battle to fly the stars and bars over South Carolina is no reason to lose hope. After all, the flag, like the South itself, can always rise again.

The Donald made an even bigger splash this summer with his candidacy than even perhaps he — as egotistical as he is — could have imagined. A shrewd and observant businessman who’s made billions off of his gift for identifying lucrative investment opportunities hidden in plain sight, Trump leaped onto a premium opportunity to make the entire political conversation about himself: offer brutally honest talk about our nation’s broken and destructive immigration system.

Trump cut through dozens of limp-wristed Tea Party libertarians, social conservative mumblers, and minority token candidates to land in the top spot in the polls and become the candidate that the other candidates are forced to react to with this one weird trick: Honestly and directly address White issues. To quote Ann Coulter, whose latest bestseller–¡Adios, America!–is scandalizing Beltway orthodoxy, “Drive up the White vote. That’s your base!”

Don't Be Donald Trump's Chump

But that’s all it is for him, a weird trick. Granted, an eccentric billionaire who’s beholden to his own ego rather than to Jewish and globalist financial backers is probably preferable to the rest of the available contenders. But he’s not one of us. He’s not pursuing shared interests. He doesn’t have shared goals. Trump is approaching this political campaign as a businessman, not as an ideologue, and he’ll follow the money and ego gratification away from White Interests as quickly as he followed the money and ego gratification toward White Interests.

Discerning who one should and should not politically support requires a lifecycle approach rather than a simple issues-oriented litmus test. Has Donald Trump established a record of nationalism and/or traditionalism which these positions are naturally aligned with? Has Donald Trump taken stands in the past for the American people against Organized Jewry and its multinational corporate lackeys? Do Donald Trump’s personal life and private decisions indicate that this man is even remotely aligned with our vision.

To ask is to answer: No. Let’s not be Trump’s chumps. Let’s keep a healthy distance from endorsing or supporting the man, lest we discredit ourselves and our ideals as his true colors inevitably emerge.

Trump’s populist candidacy most certainly presents opportunities for nationalists. We can learn from both Donald Trump and Ann Coulter several lessons on how to effectively present our message to normies in an accessible and populist manner. We can ramp up our coverage of and activism relating to these issues with the hopes of attracting the attention and support of the hundreds of thousands of men and women who’ve become evangelized and energized by these mainstream figures.

In Ann Coulter’s case, I even think we should resist the urge to draw attention to the ways that she’s not aligned with our vision, given her impressive history of advancing issues dear to identitarians and traditionalists. Yes. She’s a bit of a pro-corporate libertarian and a supporter of Zionism, but she’s certainly not known for those issues, and she’s certainly not focused on those issues. In contrast with Donald Trump, Coulter has consistently and repeatedly shifted the national conversation closer to a conversation about our issues, and she deserves an exception to the argument for polarization which applies to Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and other ovenworthy right-wing populists.

We have nothing to gain from attacking Donald Trump while he’s spreading our message, but we have a lot to lose by endorsing and supporting the man. While there’s an understandable impulse to rally behind a powerful man who shares our vision, Donald Trump is only standing behind one sliver of our total vision, and he’s only been doing it for a few weeks. Until a powerful man emerges who truly and completely shares our vision, we should resist the urge to endorse or support any man.

Better yet, let’s find the right powerless man who truly and completely shares our vision . . . then make him powerful with our tireless support for him.

I support Trump because he polarizes. Mr. Parrott is correct that he’s “not one of us.”

    That’s not the point.

He brings to the fore the biggest immediate threat to white Americans: non-white Immigration.

No, we’re still aways away from a prominent white figure sitting up in bed, swiveling his head 360 degrees and vomiting split pea soup. It’s important that Trump is dog piled and beaten up by the MSM. It reshapes white bourgeois/prole psychology.

That “one weird trick” graphic is hilarious. Good work.

I disagree that there is nothing to lose from attacking Trump. It’s better to view him as symbolic of an emerging political consciousness among whites than to condemn him for not being a WN. Why? Because the latter triggers certain mental mechanisms in non-racial whites that have kept them on the defensive for decades. The reaction is more or less “Oh crap, if that’s what standing up for my race implies, I want no part of it!”

This of course depends on the nature of the critique that is offered. A mild critique would probably not trigger this response, and could indeed move a person closer to WN. Knowing what you know of WNs, though, do you really think you can rely on these people to moderate their rhetoric? If there’s one thing that could take the wind out of Trump’s sails it’s surely an association with moron-level WN. I would not be at all surprised if they set Trump up to be questioned/challenged by some Craig Cobb type nitwit in the hopes that the association will stick. (You can be sure they wouldn’t invite a Greg Johnson to question him.)

That said, I’ll grant there is an incredible amount of path dependence in racial politics (eg GLR, WLP, and associated political uselessness), so it pays to very carefully consider the road you take. After all, two people walking in straight lines whose paths diverge by only a degree will in time end up in considerably different places.

But Parrott, let’s be frank here. You wouldn’t support the man even if he were an Amren subscriber and spoke like Jared Taylor about race. The fact that he’s not a tradcon would trump all (heh). What you think and feel is your business, but I don’t see why white existence should be held hostage to traditionalist esoterica. People who aren’t concerned with the arcane issues that fascinate traditionalists need to resist being bullied by them. Don’t Trad On Me!

      Silver,

The fact that he’s not a tradcon would trump all (heh). What you think and feel is your business, but I don’t see why white existence should be held hostage to traditionalist esoterica.

I play nicely with non-trad identitarians. In fact, I’m even rumored to be on amicable terms with Greg Johnson, the proponent of libertine and secular “West Coast White Nationalism.” At the recent skinhead event I attended and supported, I even spent nearly an hour conspiring with this eccentric Hawaiian guy who’s effusively liberal and libertine, but awakened to identity issues.

The problem I see frequently with non-trads, though, is they often end up like Silver, convinced on the facts and persuaded by the arguments (because we’re correct), but aloof from any genuine engagement in or investment in White Advocacy on account of the fact that fighting this struggle categorically involves deep personal sacrifices with no expectation of returns for oneself. And the minute one starts to care more about one’s folk and heritage than oneself, one’s a primordial traditionalist.

Whether one adopts the label or bothers to signal all the fancy-pants foreign authors like Nicolás Gómez Dávila with the proper accents pasted in for effect and foreign words like ressentiment and Weltanschauung is beside the point. Traditionalism is cognitively scalable, and mine is certainly not superior to an illiterate Afghani shepherd’s. I’m sincerely open to reaction emerging from unexpected quarters, and I’m well aware that some of the most dynamic and lively reactionary thought is bubbling up from some of the most degenerate corners of the Internet.

Deep politics matter. Ideas matter. It certainly does matter whether Trump’s a shrewd businessman who’s identified a promising angle or whether he’s sincerely harboring some kind authentic national populist sentiment (which can be quite modern while remaining sincere and useful).

All signs point to the former rather than the latter. It is indeed possible that Trump’s been sitting on these sentiments for years, and he just happens to have hit a nerve and he’s committed to standing behind his vaguely third position platform. I call bullshit.

Speaking as someone that MP would probably classify as a modernist, I don’t believe any candidate acting within the parameters of the American system will ever be worth supporting, because the American system down to its foundations is where the problem is in the first place. The only exception to that might be a candidate who meaningfully challenges the American power structure while promoting white interests. Such a candidate would have promote at a minimum aggressive economic populism while also taking on banks, corporations, the American Deep State, AIPAC, New York, Hollywood and other mass media. The candidate would also have to be able to win by a wide enough margin to pull a veto-proof majority of like-minded thinkers into Congress. In short, we’re talking about something that will never happen between now and the heat death of the universe.

Regarding the arcane issues and the traditionalist reading list, I happen to believe most of it is pretty accessible. The data shows the right side of our bell curve is solid. I’d venture a guess that dense traditionalist readings might be fully accessible to about the top 50% or, at worst, the top 25% of whites willing to make an effort. If we could convince even the top 10% or 15% of whites to digest the traditionalist reading list, we could, potentially shatter the worldview of millions at a fundamental level.

Most whites are good at what they need to know and good at what they’re interested in knowing. So that is very possible. I happen to know more about the history of Middle Earth than many real places in the world (kinda shameful in a way but true). A master plumber (not an easy field) might be good at plumbing and sports minutia. In fact, that describes millions of white men right there. They’re good at [X professional specialty] because they need to be and a good at sports minutia because they want to be. A doctor might be good at medicine and every game Bobby Fischer ever played. A promising high school kid might be good at calc and the back-stories of his favorite video games. And so on.

If we could find ways to help more people perceive that traditionalist, nationalist, identitarian and other subversive information is something that they need to know, or should be interested in knowing, rather than sports or games, we could accelerate progress. In some ways, that pattern plays out on /pol all the time where it’s not uncommon to see mashups of the latest degeneracy porn with Evola’s writings or NS propaganda. It’s evidence that many whites will take to the deeper material once they understand how it’s relevant.

In terms of such knowledge, the pain only has to increase to the point where not knowing brings more pain than knowing. Also, the ‘reading list’ has to be disseminated.

Though, in practice, I think that general support is gained through 3 avenues: 1. Personal experience that is instructive 2. Instinct and culture 3. and Propaganda.

Number one will occur more often as non-Whites become more common. That’s how I came to this. Number two is decreasing in its commonality but it still exists. Number three is most often accomplished through the internet. In fact, I’ve never encountered a piece of WN propaganda outside of the internet. Hence, my almost total state of ignorance and brainwashing before I had significant and consistent interpersonal interaction with NAMS. The bad part of that process is that I barely, and I mean barely, escaped my interactions to be able to be here writing today. Many if not most whites will fall off into complete degeneracy or ruin before they are able to pull themselves out of the grip of significant interaction with multiculturalism. A clash of civilizations is not a reliable method to assure our future. The internet is great but fragile and unreliable in the future. Culture will be our only salvation, and it has to be better than what we currently see as our options. We need a religion around which we can build and shelter ourselves with an ethnicity.

If nothing else it’s good that someone famous is making noise about this issue. People have to talk about it to break the taboo. You could argue that it does more harm than good to have the polarizing Trump being the one doing the talking, but his success in the polls paints a heartening picture of just how many people are strongly opposed to the immigration madness, whether or not they quite understand that it’s an intentional ethnic/cultural cleansing of Whites, or who’s responsible. We already knew immigration (illegal or not) was widely opposed, but it feels good to see Trump pass Bush when we know that it’s specifically because of this single issue.

As we watch this unfold, the key question to ask will be if it’s good for the Whites.

This was a very common sense essay. My subconscious mind is continually ready to identify any national figure saying the right things as the leader who we can rally behind, but I have to continually reign this in, as the rational part of my mind logically understands Mr. Parrott’s points, especially having been burned through experience several times. But, that part of my inner mind is an eternal optimist, so I will need to be cautioned again when the next imposter comes forward. I am convinced though that at the right time, we will indeed see the rise of a real leader.

We should understand the rest of the establishment is very concerned by Trump. That’s a good thing. But the biggest danger with him is that he turns out to be an early contender who then then pulls out like Ron Paul only to let something awful in. That’s the danger. That he could be a kind of stalking horse that rallies support early on, only to then crumble and let in an overtly pro-Zionist, pro-diversity candidate. I have little doubt powerful elites really want Jeb Bush in.

    So what’s the answer ?

Broadly support him, because whether or not Trump is perfect we have to accept some amount of political compromise. ALL political movements have had to compromise. Trump is taking things in mostly the right direction for us. That’s a good reason to generally support him. We don’t need to lock ourselves into him, but we can at least support his direction and out of all the choices on offer Trump is the only game in town currently for us.

But we also have to be ready for a moment if he pulls out, and the effect that will have and we need to carry on.

It’s Tue, Nov 4th, 1980. However unlikely it looks now, somehow the choice is CARTER-D or REAGAN-R.

Still turning your back and walking away at that point?

In retrospect people forget how “implicitly White” Reagan’s 1980 campaign was, with talk of “welfare queens” and “young bucks.” After his election, at least one KKK chapter closed down because “we won.”

Afterwards, we got; illegal alien amnesty, sky-high Third World legal immigration, cultural marxism growing like a mushroom at home while we confronted the Soviets abroad, Martin King holiday, expanding affirmative action, Robert Mathews burned alive…should I continue?

Now, I’m glad Trump’s speaking his mind and even more glad he is so far not backing down. If he’s on the ballot, no harm voting for him (Trumpian success = more racial chaos and ill will). But I agree with Parrott here that we need to avoid the “man on white horse” syndrome. We’ve been burned so many times before, when are we going to beware of fire?

Why waste time and effort supporting him? Not only that he’s not “us” – he doesn’t need or want our help. We have nothing to offer him but to damage his campaign. Let’s just let everything play out, and be prepared to take advantage of any opportunities. Let him talk and do his own thing. We have our own problems to take care of.

The spectacle of all sorts of HBDers getting all hot and bothered over Trump and Coulter (one can almost hear the Derb’s heavy breathing) is amusing (and he’s not the only one prematurely exulting over Trump), but real racial nationalists should know better.

I’ve paid no attention to this crap, but I’ve seen “headline chatter” cross my screens to gather that Donald Trump is making some waves telling a very, very small but still taboo portion of the truth. The usual suspects are annoyed, because Trump commands a national audience when he wants it and cannot be ignored. But Trump is still out for Trump. Trump’s rather attractive daughter is also married to a Jew and a convert herself.

NEW YORK – Judaism is getting a boost from a surprising direction – Ivanka Trump, daughter of business tycoon Donald Trump, has decided to convert to Judaism in honor of her engagement to her boyfriend Jewish businessman

The usual suspects who matter — not the snarkists at HuffPo and Vox but America’s corporate and cultural power elite — are probably not only not too annoyed with Trump, they’re probably laughing it up. They know very well that Trump is not a threat to their power. They know he is just running the same old, bullshit script a lot of us have seen 1000s of times now and that visionaries like William Luther Pierce sounded the alarm about over a half-century ago.

It’s not easy to become President of the United States. If Trump really wanted the job, he could probably easily cruise to a landslide victory simply by angering liberals through blunt talk about immigration. There is some irony is that.

My conjecture is this: He is saying outrageous things about immigration to discredit the issue and give Bush, Walker and the other credible candidates the ability to distance themselves from the immigration issue. Meanwhile, he is duping, yet again, many white voters into believing that just maybe the GOP might be a vehicle for white interests after all. I predict what will happen if Trump will continue to make some noise until it’s in his interest not to. Then, he will convene a press conference, say we will need to come together, and encourage his supporters to vote for Jeb Bush.

Brimelow suggests that Trump hints he’d like to see “legal” immigration increased. That’s “increased” not “decreased.” Insofar as I can tell, Trump has not critiqued immigration itself, and concentrates on “legality” and criminality, not demographics. He has praised legal Mexican immigrants – who have the same net effect on demographics and culture as do the illegals.

Yet, we have breathless HBDers, naive evolutionary psychologists, and lunatic TOO commentators (Trump and his Jew-marrying family somehow exemplify “racial hygiene” don’t you know! He’s even better than Romney! Well, he hasn’t strapped a dog to the roof of a car as far as we know…) getting all hot and bothered over Trump (and Desi-dating conservative poster girl Coulter).

Again, to the extent that Trump’s big mouth does us some good, that’s great. But this latest episode of “man on white horse” syndrome tells us that the “movement” and associated bastard stepchildren (anti-White HBD) never learn. They make the same mistakes over and over again. Parrott is right and the Trump-onanists are wrong. They’ll get “burned” soon enough, and move on to the next “savior.” Who knows, maybe Sister Sarah will throw her hat (or jaw) into the ring as well. One could almost hear Pat Buchanan’s and Steve Sailer’s sweaty heavy breathing about that possibility.

Yes. The illegal alien problem can be solved much more quickly and cheaply by simply declaring all the illegals legal via a sweeping amnesty. None of that hard labor moving them back across the Rio Grande, banning them from employment in the US and so forth.

I am not at all convinced that money is the solution to the obstacles blocking Trump from the reins of power. The nominating process is where the real decisions are made. By the time the voters get to it, the real candidates have already been weeded out. All that will remain for the electorate is whether to endorse the Sea Hag or the Beta Male that married the cleaning lady.

If all else fails, and Trump manages the unthinkable and wins the Republican nomination, there’s always the proverbial “offer he can’t refuse.” It worked on Henry Ford, and it can work on Trump.

Unless you believe that Democratic politicians have all been leftie true believers the last fifty+ years it clearly doesn’t matter very much that he may have no meaningful political convictions. Sure, it’d be nice to have a politician who deeply shares your convictions, but a politician who does what you want for only opportunistic reasons will amply suffice – just like a butcher who sells quality meat because it brings the customers in, not because he cares how well people eat.

Or that he demanded that Obama release his long-form birth certificate? That he told Obama to stop playing basketball so much?

I don’t see any evidence that Trump is secretly anti-White. I think that he is probably isn’t anti-Jewish, but definitely doesn’t like Negroes and Mestizoes. That’s a start.

Coulter was a stalwalt supporter of Joe Sobran, and indeed never abandoned or repudiated him. She penned an afterword of his posthumously published volume of essays “The National Review Years”. Stylistically and temperamentally, Sobran was without doubt the strongest influence on Couter as a writer, and there is little doubt that ideologically he influecned her as well. She also learned a few lessons from seeing the experience of him destroyed as well: be independent, and – most important – have a strong enough personal brand that no one and no institution can take you down.

I think that your perspective on the Confederate Battle Flag is spot on, and that pursuing it as an issue (and winning the issue) was a large strategic error for the left. They would have done much better to make a big deal out of it and then, letting the agitation die but be memorialized, kept themselves in the position of the perpetual victim. Instead, they wielded their power in one of the most visible and emotionally impactful of possible ways, stripping a large portion of the country of perhaps the core symbol of its ethnic identity. The only net result of such an action can be an increase in political awareness and even radicalization of the culture that it detests. An increase in self-awareness of your enemy is always bad for you and great for them. Given the balance sheet on this issue, consider it a large victory.

Trump has repeatedly demonstrated himself to be an inveterate salesman and adept at human psychological manipulation. Also, we have never collectively witnessed an unincentivized ideological demonstration on the part of Trump that would lend any credibility that he is devoted to any cause but himself and his money. On the contrary, I think that his career has made it clear that he is first and foremost a devotee of himself. Normally, I wouldn’t necessarily hold that against a candidate, but this case is rather extreme and combined with the entryism and readiness for psychological manipulation I don’t trust Trump one bit. I think he would say anything to reach the White House. Also, I don’t trust him to do a host of other things that would hurt our people in this country for the sake of his economic class. We’re on life support now and are thus more fragile to such actions then we would have been 60 years ago. Of course, this was all stated in your article. I wrote this paragraph before I read the entire thing.

The upside is that, win or lose, Trump has put a conversation on the table that both sides of the spectrum were before doing their best to officially hide. It’s out now, and thus Trump is already a huge problem for the Left to include RINOS. He’s made Jeb Bush look disingenuous as a conservative to the point that he’s going to have a difficult time credibly defining his party affiliation from here on out. He may just go full liberal in the future as the base moves further to the right. . In a sense, Trump has already done 75% of the work. Unfortunately, that last 25% might take a conflict like no one wants.

Ann Coulter would be 100x the quality of candidate. Though, she isn’t as charismatic as Trump (who sets a high standard and is still squeaking by) and, combined with her gender disadvantage, would not stand a chance. Though, she would engender more credible trust with the political base than any other person in the public eye for those that would give her a second look. Heck, in terms of formal leadership, she might be our best secession option (which I think is our most realistic plan out of a host of unrealistic plans). I see her parrying with positions that we are in disagreement with as skilled political speech to maintain position and keep the Left on its heels. I’ve never had the impression that her views are not our views. Therefore, she would be the Left’s Hitler 2K, and her inherent lack of real political power in combination with future continued extreme vilification by the Left would leave her in a bad spot as a President if her strategy was to conduct business as usual. She would almost have to be a revolutionary figure in practice. Personally, I’d enjoy seeing military SWAT teams raid the New York Times and CNN in an effort to rid the Nation of propaganda outlets that are consistently revolutionary in nature. Though, I think we are past that point because, to be honest, how many people in NYC would support such a thing before a complete collapse and civil war? Hence, my secessionist views.

This is well put. I think we should watch and learn from Trump. I’m interested to see how he fares with boycotts against him in the event that a prominent, moneyed person should ever come out as a fellow traveler of ours or one of us.
