Greg Johnson talks to F. Roger Devlin about Deaths of Despair and the Future of Capitalism (Princeton University Press, 2020) by two Princeton economists: Anne Case and her husband, Nobel laureate Angus Deaton. Case and Deaton discovered the alarming rise of mortality among working and middle-class whites since 1999. (more…)
I attended a small (about 160 students per grade) Midwestern high school only ten minutes from a metropolis, but the neighborhood had large houses with high property taxes and the district had gerrymandered the auto-enrollment zone to keep the school about 90 percent white with a smattering of Asians (several boys named Tenzin). While having lunch with one of my friends, our conversation turned towards his comically absurd experiences of working a blue-collar job in the Glorious Democratic People’s Republic of California. (more…)

Greg Johnson, John Morgan, and Frodi reconvene our roundtable to discuss the recent massacres in El Paso, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and Gilroy, California and the establishment’s differing reactions to them. (more…)
According to the press, on Saturday, August 3, 2019, Patrick Crusius killed 20 and wounded 26 at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. I am sure many more facts will come to light in the coming months and at Crusius’ trial. (more…)
Saturday night, I went to bed, wondering if I would wake up the next morning to find my life’s work erased from the web because of the latest White Nationalist spree killer.
It happens now with accelerating regularity: a white man who is alarmed at white ethnic displacement goes to a place frequented by non-whites and starts shooting. (more…)
I wasn’t going to watch Borderless, Lauren Southern’s latest documentary. I thought Farmlands, her film on South Africa, was important. Yet I knew enough about Europe. (more…)
One of the most satisfying aspects of Morrissey’s recent drift into the populist nativist Right is the absolute butthurt from his shitlib fans. It’s glorious. They feel so betrayed. (more…)

Here we go again. It happens now with depressing regularity: a white man who is alarmed at white ethnic displacement goes to a place of worship used by non-whites and starts shooting. (more…)

For centuries, Islam had no greater foe in the West than the Catholic Church. While the secular princes warred among themselves and focused on their narrow interests, the Church was there to harangue Christendom’s rulers about the real threat to their civilization and go on Crusade. (more…)
Recently, Hondurans from the 2018 illegal immigrant “caravan” attempted to cross the border from Tijuana into California. They seem to have been repulsed by the US Border Patrol, though many undoubtedly got through via the legal system. It was a close call. (more…)
Leftists are fond of mocking conservative defenders of the Constitution, but they mysteriously morph into strict constructionists whenever anything threatens to overturn a law that suits their interests. (more…)

Douglas Murray The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam
New York: Bloomsbury, 2017
Many readers of Counter-Currents will be familiar with Douglas Murray, a white British conservative who has been an outspoken critic of European immigration policy for many years and who focuses primarily on the specific problems posed by Muslims. (more…)
I know that many readers of Counter-Currents are anti-Christian, as a subset of their larger rejection of universalist ideologies that are color-blind and race-blind. This was the position of the late Revilo P. Oliver, whose life-long study of religions had led him to the conclusion that both liberalism and Marxism were “succedaneous religions”— (more…)
If my introduction to the topic of Jews and immigration policy had been through a march that looked like the angry villagers in Beauty and the Beast ready to bust their way in to the Beast’s castle yelling “Jews will not replace us,” I never would have ended up where I am today. (more…)

Many patriotic Americans object to White Nationalism because they are told it is “un-American.” America, they say, was always a multiracial society, dedicated to the proposition that “all men are created equal.” Therefore, the White Nationalist idea of a society that bases citizenship on race is alien to the American tradition. Memes have power. Statistics have power. Which of us have not heard the statistic, bandied around universities, that 1 in 3 female college students will be sexually assaulted? Whether or not that statistic is accurate, it is a demonstration of the great ability of “sticky” facts and figures to permeate and influence the public discourse.

One issue that seems to have escaped analysis in this election cycle is the fact that Trump received wide support from American conservatives despite taking a surprisingly “liberal” stance on a wide range of economic issues. While many of Trump’s economic policies come from the Republican playbook, here are a few of the stereotypically “liberal” economic policies Trump has claimed to support: (more…)
Last April, I wrote an article for Counter-Currents called “What Would a Trump Presidency Mean for Europe?” In it, I — like so many others in our neck of the political woods — predicted that Trump would win the election, and I discussed the impact I thought his victory would have on the situation in Europe.

(more…)
(more…)
On November 8th, 2016, America arrived at a fork in the road: turn Left, and America would become a majority non-white nation, with everything that entails — turn Right, and perhaps America could be saved by halting white demographic replacement. (more…)
The results of Hungary’s referendum on the EU’s migrant quotas are in: most Hungarians don’t want to allow the EU to force them to accept migrants, but don’t care enough to bother going to the polls to vote against it. (more…)
