Laughing While the Nation Is on Life Support

Jim Goad

1,265 words

During his debate against that cackling multiracial Medusa named Kamala Harris and her two emotional-support moderators in my sadly demolished hometown of Philadelphia on Tuesday, Donald Trump repeatedly referred to the United States as if it were a dying organism:

Our country is being lost. We’re a failing nation.

I’ve never seen a worse period of time. People can’t go out and buy cereal or bacon or eggs or anything else. These — the people of our country are absolutely dying with what [Biden and Harris have] done.

We’re a nation that’s in serious decline. We’re being laughed at all over the world. All over the world, they’ve laughed.

She’s destroying this country. And if she becomes president, this country doesn’t have a chance of success. Not only success—we’ll end up being Venezuela on steroids.

There’s never been anything done like this at all. They’ve destroyed the fabric of our country.

And the problem that we have right now is we have a nation in decline, and they have put it into decline. We have a nation that is dying….

Early this week, the viral outrage-porn story about a nation gone haywire concerned rumors of Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio killing geese in public parks. Other rumors emerged about residents killing and eating ducks, dogs, and cats.

While flying in his private jet to Philly on Tuesday, Trump reportedly posted an AI image of himself as the noble protector of cats and ducks. He’s the only president I’m aware of who would do something that funny.

Nearly a half-hour into the debate, Trump mentioned the situation in Springfield:

A lot of towns don’t want to talk about it because they’re so embarrassed by it in Springfield they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in they’re eating the cats. They’re eating—they’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country.

Moderator David Muir—who, along with co-moderator Linsey Davis only seemed concerned with fact-checking Trump—interjected:

I just want to clarify here. You bring up Springfield, Ohio, and ABC News did reach out to the city manager there he told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured, or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.

At the risk of nitpicking, in late August, Springfield police had received a 911 call from a man reporting that he saw a group of four Haitian migrants, each carrying a goose. Also in late August at a public meeting where citizens complained that their humble town of 58,000 had been inundated with a hot-tar flood of 20,000 Haitian migrants, a black resident named Anthony Harris said:

These Haitians are running into trash cans. They’re running into buildings. They’re flipping cars in the middle of the street, and I don’t know how like, y’all can be comfortable with this. They’re in the park, grabbing up ducks by the neck and cutting their heads off and eating them

And the black Ohio woman who was arrested for killing and eating a cat was from Canton, not Springfield, and she was not an immigrant.

It sounds suspiciously like the whole stabbing mess in Southport, England, where the media and government quickly turned attention away from the triple murder of three young white girls to focus on social media “misinformation” about a nonexistent Muslim migrant rather than the fact that, well, it was still a non-indigenous black teen who killed those girls.

This is where we are as a nation. We’re fact-checking exactly where black people are eating ducks and cats and whether they’re actually Haitian immigrants. The bigger issue would seem to be that none of Springfield’s residents appear to have requested 20,000 Haitians suddenly showing up in their town.

The bigger issue that got buried: It’s always a mistake to bring in more Haitians. It’s a far bigger blunder than mistaking geese for cats and Springfield for Canton.

But then you slowly realize that presidential debates, as well as politics in general, aren’t about facts. Or about the public will. They’re about coming off likable enough to sway the dozen or so voters who still haven’t made up their minds. If voters cared about facts, and if politicians listened to voters, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

If you find Kamala Harris remotely likeable, you and I are as different as geese and cats. To me, she’s a cold bowl of curry without a sincere bone in her body. Although some debate coach apparently instructed her not to audibly cackle, she kept smiling with passive-aggressive disdain at everything Trump said. Harris appears to find everything hilarious, but I doubt she’s ever said anything remotely funny in her life.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is the finest comedian that American politics has ever produced. I realized this back in 2015 during the Republican presidential primaries. When Rand Paul said that Trump made fun of people’s looks, Trump parried with, “I never attacked him on his look, and believe me—there’s a lot of subject matter right there.” The crowd laughed. Even Rand Paul smiled. No matter how many modern comedians try to mock him—basically all of them—he’s funnier than all of them combined.

He reminded me of his Don Rickles-level comedic timing again in late July when asked about Harris’s ancestry: “She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn…black, and now she wants to be known as black.”

He lobbed several other zingers on Tuesday:

And a lot of these illegal immigrants coming in, they’re trying to get them to vote. They can’t even speak English. They don’t even know what country they’re in, practically.

Now she wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison.

And we have a president that we don’t even know if he’s—where is our president? Is he our president? But we have a president that doesn’t know he’s alive.

Go down to Washington, D.C., and let her sign a bill to close up the border because they have the right to do it. They don’t need bills. They have the right to do as the president of the United States. You’ll get him out of bed. You’ll wake him up at four o’clock in the afternoon. You say, come on, come on down to the office. Let’s sign a bill.

Still, Trump is not the piranha he was in 2016. What good is a toothless piranha?

When he said that Harris had three-and-a-half years to fix the border situation, I thought, “Yeah, and you had four years to build a wall.”

The first question moderators asked the candidates was, “Do you think Americans are better off than they were four years ago?”

Well, maybe the Haitians. They get to kill and eat all the ducks, geese, cats, and dogs.

America is broken. They’ve gaslit us to the point where it’s a zero-trust society. Whatever side wins the election this year, the other side will say that they stole it, just like the last two elections. There will be no wall, immigration will continue, the balkanization will escalate, and we’ll probably get sucked into a World War that will finally murder the US dollar.

Or maybe I’m just in a bad mood.

Still, I appreciate the jokes. If laughter is the best medicine, it’s even better when the patient is terminal. When a nation is on its death bed, the man with the best jokes wins.

The key point he made was spot on. The fabric of society is in tatters.

For some reason the images of the flags being burned in the 60s, 70s and 80s come to mind. I suppose that was the killing. If only the body had been exhumed and officially buried we could rationally move forward.

Our people have to move forward on our own now. It doesn’t mean total retreat, it means finding where we can grab and hold power and build up what we need to live well in a balkanizing failed state. Well, I would say a failed state but the reality is it has been willfully demolished.

Same citizens who used to be warned against vigilantism are now warned against patriotism in the progress of 1970s to now.

In the seventies Arkoff and Corman would have made “transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison” as a spectacle movie

Enjoyed the ending paragraph.  Credit where credit is due, John Stewart had his golden days back during the Bush administration.  He provided a much needed comedic catharsis to the shit show that was the Bush administration.  The comedy though wasn’t vindictive the way the anti-Trump comedy is.  If he was smart, he would have called it quits shortly after or better yet before Obama took office.

That link about the, let’s call her the cat eater from Canton is the ultimate deadpan.  “The cat eater isn’t Haitian!  She’s an American!”  Then they go to point out that all the Haitians are there legally.

The problem is, even if Trump wins, whatever amount of Manhattan project level subversion of his first administration and subsequent lawfare after office is going to be a walk in the park if he wins again.  The left/deepstate has the advantage of not only being able to get what it wants when in power but to subvert the right when it isn’t in power.  It uses the right’s “let’s respect our institutions and rule of law” against them.

Now, on a non-comedic but serious note as well.
I think the Republican ticket should give J. D. Vance more exposure to the
voters and media. He made some good comments and he is energetic and correct in
assessment of Kamala’s accomplishments as a current VP.
This would be a good response to Kamala’s desire for a “page turn” and “a new
way forward”. Yes, the generational change is inevitable and already late.
If Vance does not lose his head and sticks to what really matters he could have
a chance to become the new face of Republicans even before the election day and
bring to the table young and middle-age voters (otherwise Kamala will win them
by default). People in the know suggest that there is even a legal post-
election possibility that Vance could become a VP under President Harris or an
acting President if Democrats bring the lawfare against Trump to the extreme
    and Republicans compromise.

Being that I’m 36 years old and I’ve been forced to bartend for a living due to Affirmative Action killing my chances at a career after college, it’s probably going to be very difficult for me to immigrate to another country — as I don’t have a resume with strong marketable skills

I know it’s very hard to get into a place like Japan no matter what, but does anyone have any advice for me on what I can do this late in life in order to boost my chances at leaving the USA before we are in genuine South African conditions?  I want to get out of here before the end of the decade

I really don’t know what to do

If you have a degree, you can do ESL quite easily. Get a Tesol Tefl certificate and you can go to Russia, China, South Korea, Japan or many other countries  to teach. China pays the highest, but is currently experiencing a downturn because they basically had no kids in 2020. Among other things, the country is filled to the brim with some of the most sociopathic and dishonest people you’ll ever encounter and that takes its toll mentally. The other options are significantly less pay. You could look into Central European countries as options. I don’t know what the pay is like, but it’s one of the easier ways. Keep in mind , no one is going to respect you it’s not a “respectable” job, but frankly who cares. There are also cheaper places to live in the US if you look into it if you aren’t gonna leave.

Your name sounds Irish. Do you have Irish grandparents? If you do, did you know you can get Irish citizenship by descent? And if you get Irish citizenship, you also automatically obtain EU citizenship with access to living and working in any other EU country (like Hungary or Poland) without needing a visa.

Tough spot. But the flexibility of bartending may allow development of a trade on the side. The college credentials add to that. If you move to a low cost of living country, the wages will also be lower. If you ever have 2nd thoughts it will be harder to build equity and move back if homesick.

Why don’t you just move to a very white part of America, and build a life there? There is no place to hide on the planet, but some places are better than others. Try emigration to Australia. They’re pushing mass immigration. You would eventually get in, and then you could relocate to the still exceptionally nice (and white) Tasmania. You could even start propagandizing for turning Tasmania into a sovereign nation (and from there, into our future Ethnostate).

You will never make it in Japan: they intelligently allow few immigrants, and both the language and the society are nearly impenetrable. You’ll be a low wage worker forever. There are lots of jobs for white men right here; indeed, white men do most of the real work anyway. What interests you? Only a few fields, like academia, are off limits to white men. Get into sales, or go back and obtain your MBA. You’ll find work eventually. Move to West Virginia or Utah or Eastern Oregon or New Hampshire or Maine. All still very white. It’s mostly our big cities that have been ruined.

Why should a presumably healthy 36 year old feel disconsolate? You have most of your life ahead of you.

If you haven’t got it together by 36 in the US, forget about leaving the country.  #1 there is no place to go.  #2 you aren’t going to make it when you get there.  There is no geographic cure.

Sure, you might be able to drink yourself to death while pretending to teach English in Panama.  In Japan you will not be able to afford to drink yourself to death and even if you could it will not be cinematic.  If you were able to get Irish citizenship (they have tightened that down) you will find that Ireland is about the 4th most expensive place to live in the EU.

But to get started, you do have to consider geography.  So move to where the economic activity is happening.  Florida or Texas or Tennessee, somewhere it is booming.  Live in a box and keep bartending.  Then get a job as a plumber’s apprentice (or similar) for an established company.  There are help wanted signs everywhere and a lot of these businesses simply cannot get anyone who can speak the language, follow instructions, do the work, show up on time, and are not on drugs and/or thieves.  Start learning a trade and try to save a little money.

Then start looking at other more skilled perennial trades you come in contact with: electrician, HVAC, even mortuary.  Take classes at night, weekends, whatever.  Get whatever sort of minimal certification required to get you in the door.  It is going to take three to five years, but once you have the skill set and some experience you should be able to get something just about anywhere, or start your own business.

The nice thing about the trades is they are the closet things to recession and progress-proof we have.  They are portable.  You can work for yourself.  And they get you out of the house to different places every day or few days where you get to meet (and have to deal) with real people.  You also get to move and use your body.

The other nice thing about them is this: if you can’t get by on your looks and charm like Goad can, you will find that women respond well to men who can actually do something they can’t or won’t, like fixing a dripping sink.

This is just flat out wrong. You can reasonably make a living and save up teaching English. I would know from experience. Now, if you are an idiot and you like to drink and waste money then no, not gonna happen.

Also, you’re assuming a lot about him. You don’t really know his situation other than he is down on his luck. Whites get screwed in the current situation and you’re assumption is he must be a fuck up of some kind? Also, geography can a hundred percent be the cure. The environment can be the problem. This you should have “pulled yourself up by the bootstraps” otherwise you’re a failure is obnoxious and wrong. You must be older I can feel the complete detachment from the younger generations issues in this post. Also, nothing more irritating coming from “prowhite” people implying poor whites are losers.

Also, moving to somewhere to “booming economic activity” is not good advice. He would end up working a job there to make rent to live in a box. How is that an improvement? Trades are a good option, but it’s a far better to move to someplace cheap rather than move to an expensive state for the “booming economic activity.”

No need to worry at all. You are still quite young. If you don´t have mental health or substance abuse problems, you can do just about anything. I suggest you consider moving to a small town. It´s almost a different world out there in those places, and people have less higher education which means your college degree has more value. The job situation can be much better than you would think. Those towns can be interesting places, not boring at all. Save some money and give it a try.

Here is the key quote from this article: “The bigger issue that got buried: It’s always a mistake to bring in more Haitians. It’s a far bigger blunder than mistaking geese for cats and Springfield for Canton.”

More Blacks = more crime, especially violent crime. The whole world knows that. Both Democrats and Republicans know that. But that’s what they want. They refuse to enforce the law and they release criminals en masse from our prisons for a reason, to generate anarchy and chaos. They facilitate illegal immigration for the same reason.

This election is a matter of life and death for America. Unfortunately, both parties favor death. Both are for open borders at home, and perpetual war abroad. Both favor total subservience to Israel and the genocide of the Palestinian Arabs.

Nevertheless, it would be better for America if Trump wins. The Left would go bonkers, even more than they have ever done before – even more than the BLM riots of 2020. That’s good! Worse is better. Their extreme overreaction would wake up even the most complacent, apolitical person. Then, finally, things would start to change for the better.

No, there are vast numbers of whites who are genetically defective. They will never awaken.

What mass disturbances do, however, is awaken many of those who are basically good, but psychologically weak, the ones who desperately wish to avoid noticing what’s happening, but when absolutely forced to do so, respond as we would like them to.

Our problem is that Trump is a selfish and terrible candidate. Destiny has placed greatness within his grasp, but his petty character defects prevent him from seizing it. I hope he wins, as I want America to die as slowly as possible, but sadly predict he’ll lose. This is still the idiot’s election to lose, and he’s doing so. Either DeSantis (my pick) or Haley would have destroyed Kamala. At least when Trump loses, his spell over the GOP will get broken.

With all respect, destiny did not place this moment in Trump’s lap.  Trump, against opponents in BOTH parties (fine, both halves of the uni-party) created this opportunity with his brashness, humor, and (I believe) genuine concern for the future of the Republic and its citizens. He has, almost single-handedly, revived American populism. Flawed? Of course. But even DeSantis (who went to Israel to sign his pet anti-anti-Semitism law, remember?), much less Deep-State puppet Nikki Haley (a wholly owned subsidiary of the military industrial complex), cannot inspire the depth of enthusiasm that Trump does.

Trump may lose, to the detriment of us all, but no other Republican, much less an actual conservative, would have a chance. Trump has given us hope, admittedly tinged with moments of cringe, but that is a trade well worth making.

I will be delighted to be proven incorrect on Election Day. But I regretfully predict a slight Harris win, one which so easily could have been a slim Trump victory. I know so many people who are way more conservative than Harris, yet are just ‘turned off’ by Trump. It’s insane, but that’s the typical voter. Petty character defects? Sure, but I suspect that Dondi was forced to run for prez, same as George Bush the Younger *, by powerful folks who needed a front man to carry out their plans.   No one nowadays obtains any purportedly high & powerful office on their own steam.  If and when Amerikwa collapses they wanted it to be under a Republican president.  But the can is still being kicked down the road and those powers are trying once again.

It is hard for me to accept that anyone here truly believes that things are all sincere and above board re high level politics.

        __________

*I recall reading an article, ages ago, in a magazine, prior to interwebz, about George’s unwillingness to run for prez, how he was resisting and was pushed into it.  It’s true, he was easily manipulated, and just wanted to continue being a successful businessman, enjoying his ranch and a somewhat lower level political position.

It’s about workers the industrial chiefs want in Springfield.

The PBS hit piece on the American worker showed up two days ago and gives the game away on why the Haitians (or any foreign workers) are here in the first place. I know you don’t publish vids but I’ll leave the URL for anyone who wants to get the official story — and wants to see why PBS turned their “comments” off for this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA80DOcJnu8

My grandfather told me many years ago that ANOTHER small town in Ohio, further north, where I was born, was gifted with several hundred Puerto Ricans by Harry Truman in 1949, the better to break the steelworkers union. They hired them in San Juan and built barracks for them near the Lake Erie shore. It was a violation of the spirit if not the letter of the law Jimmy Carter later referred to as the “ethnic purity” of our neighborhoods. True to all logic, by the time JFK got killed my hometown shopping district was a no-go area for white kids. Plus ca change and all that.

Since the 80s, I’ve been calling for Republicans to advocate independent nationhood for Puerto Rico (also Hawaii). Shedding this parasite colony would be a great prowhite and pro-American victory.

A week or so ago I read a news article from Springfield news talking about the pets being killed and eaten. I swear there was even one quote from a resident along the lines of “finding cats hung from a tree and gutted like a deer”, or something.I can’t find this article or anything like it now.

If you find Kamala Harris remotely likeable, you and I are as different as geese and cats.

Although voting Republican isn’t the focal point of my identity, I would say people who vote that way are at least on the sane side of the American divide. (Dick and Liz Cheney or any Republican involved with The Lincoln Project are the obvious traitors who don’t apply as the type of Republicans I am talking about here.)

Decades ago there was a lot of crossover between the two parties. There were liberal Republicans as well as conservative Democrats. Now all Democrats have become warmed-over Communists. They hate whites, they hate America, and they hate anything normal, handsome, and healthy. They want to defund the police, legalize drugs, crack down on free speech, celebrate and promote transsexualism, codify discrimination against whites via DEI, and allow crime to flourish. That’s a new breed of sick weirdo that the modern Democrats embody. I don’t know why any white would vote for such a political party. What the hell is wrong with them?

I think Sam Dickson refers to such types as “the pod people” — referencing the 1956 science fiction movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

He is pretty good with his zingers. W Bush had a pretty good dry sense of humor that he let out once in a while. I’m not sure he can salvage the country because he would still face the leviathan steeled against him at every turn. It sure would be refreshing if he could find it in his busy day to advocate for whites in his coalition once in a while. I might have to retire early if the cackling mulatto finds a way to steal the election.

Yeah, I too am amazed at the people who post comments on today’s ongoing destruction of America and make what they seem to think are funny remarks. I wonder how many people on the Titanic did that when the ship was going down?  If this current regime isn’t changed out in November and the border isn’t soon closed, we’re done as a country. It will not be a big laugh riot then.
