Shooting Up a Grade School Doesn’t Make You a Man

Jim Goad

Audrey Hale

1,184 words

Czech version here

On Monday morning, 28-year-old Audrey Hale shot through the locks on the doors to The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. Over the course of the next 14 minutes, she killed three nine-year-old students and three adults, all of whom were in their early 60s. Police who arrived at the scene shot her dead before she could kill anyone else.

As far as school shootings go, this one was extremely inconvenient for the Official Narrative.

School shooters aren’t supposed to be female. And they’re definitely not supposed to be trannies. And in the popular mind, trannies are supposed to be men who think they’re women, not women who think they’re men. And Christians are supposed to attack trannies, not the other way around.

The only details that fit the Official Narrative was that Hale was white, she used guns, was described as suffering from a “mental disorder,” her Christian parents “couldn’t accept” that she pretended she was a man, and one of the adults that she killed was a black man. Otherwise, the incident was an absolute bloody mess for the Official Narrative.

Hale had been a former student at the pricy private Presbyterian institution that caters to students from preschool through grades six. At the time of the shooting, the struggling artist still lived with her parents in their $700,000 home.

According to Nashville Police Chief John Drake — who, like seemingly all police chiefs across the country nowadays, is black — Hale’s “resentment” toward having been forced to attend the school may have played a role in the shooting:

We have a manifesto, and we have certain writings that we’re reading over that connect to this date, the actual incident. . . . [Hale] identifies as trans, but we’re still in the initial investigation into all of that and if it actually played a role in this incident. . . . We’ve talked to the father and the mother. We searched the home and found two more weapons there and some more maps, pertaining to thinking about some other incidents. . . . We strongly believe there were going to be some other targets, including family members, and one of the malls here in Nashville and it just did not happen.

Police have refused to release the manifesto, citing an “open investigation.” According to the New York Post, a member of Nashville’s City Council promised that the manifesto will be “released to the public after the FBI and its highly skilled team of criminal profilers analyze its contents.”

The fact that details about the incident, especially the manifesto, are skimpy so far has not deterred cement-headed ideologues from all corners from rocketing to speculative conclusions fueled by nothing beyond their confirmation biases.

From what I’ve been able to piece together so far from the available information, it appears that Audrey Hale was “trans” only in the sense that she started using male pronouns and referring to herself as “Aiden” — which happens to be, by far, the most stereotypical name of choice for a female-to-male tranny. But it only seems that she started calling herself “Aiden” quite recently, perhaps less than a year ago. And from social-media posts that were available before they were all scrubbed from existence, she apparently kept calling herself “Audrey” as well.

I haven’t seen one scrap of evidence that Hale was receiving testosterone injections or had undergone any kind of surgical mutilation. So basically she was in the embryonic stages of trannydom. If the transitioning process can be likened to a bicycle ride, she was still pedaling along using Tranny Wheels.

You can buy Jim Goad’s ANSWER Me! here.

But these days, all one needs to do to qualify as “trans” is to make a simple declaration — “I’m a man!” — and, abracadabra, you’re a man, baby.

Strangely, though, most news reports are still committing the mortal sin of “deadnaming” Hale by using her female birth name. Even worse – if you’re prone to thinking such things are wrong — they’re still calling her a woman and using female pronouns to describe her.

It’s almost as if they really don’t want to report on a story about a tranny killing a bunch of Christians.

The fact that the massacre happened in Tennessee, a state that has recently been buffeted with molten-hot waves of trans-scorn for outlawing “cabaret” shows for children, is also, as the kids like to say, problematic.

So is the fact that we live in a world that denies “white genocide,” but whose academic, media, and governmental mouthpieces are propping up an insane and statistically unsupportable notion that merely by saying that men are men and women are women, one is complicit in an imaginary scourge of “trans genocide.”

Going back at least a dozen years, I’ve been of the opinion that the whole Trans Delusion was nothing more than a deliberate demoralization program designed to psychologically break people by forcing them to, as Theodore Dalrymple famously said about political correctness, “remain silent while they are being told the most obvious lies.” In 2011, I referred to this as “The Emperor’s New Body.”

But as someone who’s been fascinated my entire life with the human tendency to conform to social pressure no matter how ridiculous the “obvious lie” was, I’m still amazed at how many people obediently fell in line, stopped using words such as “transvestite” and “crossdresser,” and began insisting that any form of legitimate skepticism was merely “hate” and an irrational “phobia.”

Back then I’d also been aware that the Usual Agitators were attempting to get gender-reassignment surgery approved by health-insurance companies so that serial taxpayers such as myself would have to foot the bill to prop up the sexual delusions of others.

But, holy hell, in the intervening dozen years, I never could have anticipated the degree to which the Trans Delusion would become Gospel truth that you must not deny under threat of social and financial excommunication. Nor did I suspect that the entire idea of “mental health” would be rejiggered so that the medical and psychiatric industries would quit defining gender dysphoria as a hallucination that needed to be fixed; these days, the hallucination substitutes for truth, while what needs to be “fixed” are the genitals that someone was given at birth.

And until yesterday, I was gleefully unaware of the fact that the estimated cost of providing reassignment surgery for the nation’s estimated 1.4 million trannies would be about $200 billion — which is “larger than the entire film industry.” And that’s not counting the subsequent lifelong hormone supplementation.

So it very well may be that the ongoing psychosis and tedium surrounding delusional and unstable people screaming bloody murder in denial of the genitals they were given at birth is part of a state-mandated demoralization campaign.

What I hadn’t considered was the degree to which Big Pharma and Big Scalpel were in on the scam. When trying to make sense of things that seem innately nonsensical, it’s always best to ask, “Cui bono?”

All that can be said definitively at the moment regarding the Nashville massacre is that Audrey Hale was a woman who killed six people. The fact that she used male pronouns and wore camo pants during her rampage still doesn’t make her a man.

Jim, I appreciate your balanced take on this. Do transsexuals actually want to pass as members of the opposite sex? If so, why do so many present as parodies of the opposite sex? I think a large part of this is simply a desire to make people uncomfortable and jump through hoops. It is a form of aggression disguised as victimhood.

Yes, don’t “drag queens” do a grotesque caricature of women?  The more unflattering the portrayal, the more forced, fake laughter?

        Different issue entirely.

I’m aware of Antifa who, sort of randomly, appropriate some (sexual) minority identity. That’s what we have here.

Of course, I’d only be speculating, and I usually refrain from even doing that, because in the roaring majority of cases where people stated definitively what “actually” motivated me to do or say something, they’re flat-out wrong.

But I’ve been thinking about the societal “transition” of attitudes toward what in my childhood were roundly mocked and bullied as “sissies” and “tomboys.” Nature always had a tendency to render some people as sexually ambiguous. But it was a matter of shame a long time ago.

Then, as I got to college, suddenly “androgyny” was a cool aesthetic among certain crowds.

I think what’s probably most intoxicating for a subset of people who used to face tremendous social ostracism for not being natural-born exemplars of masculinity or femininity is this sudden rush of societal affirmation. Suddenly THEY get to be the bullies, and it’s too hard for them to resist.

The most vicious people in the world persecute others under the cloak of virtue, especially victimhood. You just can’t get as far by openly admitting you are simply acting out of bitterness, vengeance, or even darker motives.

In April of 2021 my then seven month old daughter needed to have surgery to remove a benign cyst on her trachea.  The rent-a-cop in the lobby of the hospital could hardly conceal the pleasure he received from informing me that I had to have my mask over my nose at all times.  It took everything in me to not cuss him out and make a scene, but I would’ve been kicked out of the hospital and the missus would have never forgiven me.

You all might be interested in noting the parallels and analogs between our time and the Ottoman Empire. When Borzoi was active on Poast, he was particularly taken by a book called “The Ottomans: Khans, Caesars, and Caliphs” by Marc David Baer which covers its history over 640 pages.

I’m sure many of you are aware of Köçeks who were young non-Muslim boys from the territories dressed in feminine attire to dance to the delight of their rulers which bears disturbing parallels with the practice of drag kids right down to the sexual abuse. Then there were the Qalandars (or deviant dervishes) and Bektashi Order whose libertine lifestyles granted the Ottomans their spiritual legitimacy by showing there is room for deviancy in such a society. Sufism itself was already quite controversial in the Islamic world and these people went even further right down to shaving all the hair off their bodies and modifying their flesh with body piercings and tattoos. They were effectively the Punk Rock / Antifa class of their day.
What is certain is that our rulers, whoever they may be, have decided that we are a problem to be solved rather than constituents with needs. The entire trans debate about women’s sports and drugs can be seen as extensions of dealing with those of us who reject the notion that men can be women and women can be men.

There’s a 4chan copypasta that’s been going around that similarly brings up the previously mentioned Köçeks that I feel applies in this case:
Your humiliation is the enemies goal. To take a hit and fight on is honorable to take a beating every day is just sad. Humiliation robs you of your humanity, your will, your reason to fight on. Humiliation takes everything from you and debases it in front of all, it robs you of being worthy of empathy. It has been used by every occupier in history, it is our natural primal understanding of defeat. The Ottoman practice of köçek was an ultimate example, similar to the concept of “Drag Kids” in modern America. Köçeks were a combination of dancers, clowns and prostitutes, they were young non-Muslim boys taken from their parents and trained to be willful sexual objects and entertainers for the Turks
The goal was to have the occupied think “If we allow that to be done to our boys what else can they do?” The answer is anything. It is full spectrum domination of the conquereds mind.
Your enemy doesnt want gay pride parades in your street, drag queens in your adverts, your son transgender, your parents dead from opioids, your daughter race mixing, your meat replaced with bugs all while your media laughs at you because they think it’s for anyones benefit. They want it because they know you dont want it but cant stop them, they want to humiliate you. There isnt any other reason.

Indeed, the bullied have become bullies, and they won’t stop until everyone is humiliated and made to pay for perceived crimes.

Trans are probably not a homogeneous group.  One faction is the standard LGB archetype that does so to appeal to a sexual/relationship role and desired partners.

Another group are ‘suggestible’ depressives in search of explanations for feeling ‘different’ and not ‘fitting in’. They arrive at the idea they have been misgendered all along in life. In another era they may have been the type to have ‘recovered memories’ that explain their misery.

Another subgroup are on the autism spectrum, over represented among transgenders compared to the general population.

But all these subgroups (and more may exist) can abuse power when it is granted. Consider the Stanford Prison Experiment.  A group of differing participants is given power and a group identity… abuse of power quickly follows.

I’m convinced the entire transsexual thing is a giant con by the world’s greatest trolls. You need to do a podcast with Ed Dutton on how transsexualism is Machiavellian. I’m sure there are some men who simply like how women’s underwear feels or the Marlene Dietrich types doing the androgynous thing because it is en vogue like hair metal. But the majority of these men (it’s like 10-1 male-to-female) do not actually have the transition surgery. So it’s just a performance because they take it all off like Mrs. Doubtfire when nobody is looking. I’ve heard actual testimony from the incel crowd that some have been doing drag because they get treated better by society or even ‘ascend’ because women are more attracted to them in drag than their regular subpar selves. Then there is the real phenomenon of sequential Hermaphroditism observed in many species of fish because it becomes more advantageous for male fishes to become female (protandrous) at certain points in life. Nobody can deny women have it way better than men do to the point that these trannies are trying capture some of that privilege.

The overwhelming majority of our patients are white, but this girl was black. She was put on hormones at the center when she was around 16. When she was 18, she went in for a double mastectomy, what’s known as “top surgery.”

Three months later she called the surgeon’s office to say she was going back to her birth name and that her pronouns were “she” and “her.” Heartbreakingly, she told the nurse, “I want my breasts back.” The surgeon’s office contacted our office because they didn’t know what to say to this girl.”

I found a manifesto / how-to for incels who want to change their gender so they can get laid at last and also get social advantages.  It’s pretty revealing.

I also think that some of this stuff could be promoted as a diversion, to trick young people into focusing their natural radical energy on “smashing the gender binary” rather than more constructive pursuits.

A few months back the term stochastic terrorism became the new buzz phrase among the trans activists on the left, referring to criticism of so called “gender affirming care” from the likes of Matt Walsh and others.  For those unaware, the term is defined as “the public demonization of a person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act, which is statistically probable but whose specifics cannot be predicted.”  I would argue that the increasingly hysterical and intentionally hyperbolic rhetoric coming from pundits, lawmakers and activists are contributing to a toxic fantasy world that is increasingly radicalizing these confused malcontents.  Take for instance the new state senator in my state of Nebraska, the frumpy ginger Machaela Cavanaugh who recently performed a three week filibuster to block votes on a bill outlawing “gender affirming care” to minors in the state.  She said on the floor “I’ll just call a genocide the genocide. This is what it is. These bills are stepping stones in the eradication of trans Nebraskans. And voting for them is voting for a stepping stone in genocide.”  Until we see the manifesto of this creature we won’t know what exactly motivated her to do such an horrific act, but it would not surprise me a bit if we find out that her opposition to the recently passed bill in Tennessee and her fear of being genocided by evil Republicans and MAGA hillbillies is cited.

“Stochastic Terrorism” is an elegant bit of leftist histrionics and theatricality. The term seems to side step whether a certain racial demographic group, riled up by resentment-inspiring reportage, seems to victimize even greater numbers of white people (and Asians). But I am told that race is just a social construct, so none of this must be happening.

Another British person here, and I can only echo what Gallus has already so eloquently said. The world needs a confident and forthright America now, more than ever, it needs the kind of old school ‘can do’ attitude that was the US’ stock in trade and which everyone in the rest of the world used to see pouring out from it in what seemed like an endless fountain and longed to emulate. Now America seems lost and completely at war with itself, and you know what they say about a house divided. It makes me feel so sad to witness. My only hope is that since I’m seeing these things at a great distance, through the distorting lens of media, it isn’t a true reflection of how the majority of Americans really still are.

England, and Britain more widely, feels just as bad. As Gallus said, the U.K. feels like a place buckling under siege by hostile forces right now. I’m a Londoner, and when I saw nighttime illuminated messages wishing people a happy Ramadan projected on the side of Nelson’s Column, I really wanted to just weep. ‘Respect Allah, bigot, or pay the price’, Havel’s shopkeeper sign hung right on a memorial to our greatest naval hero.

In 1940, Churchill rallied these islands when things seem at their very darkest, when all hope seemed lost, and he was right to do so. It really feels as though we’re at a similar point again now. I still believe we can survive this as well, but we’re leaving it terribly late to resist.

    A headline for the ages.

I don’t see it as a conspiracy, but a leftist fad catering to a caterwauling base. I’m assuming the response to the ‘manifesto’ is already being written before being see: if there was no trans hate and trans genocide, young trans people wouldn’t be pushed over the edge to shoot 9 year olds. Perhaps the only thing missing from this article is the intersectional perspective. According to the wikipedia entry on “Trans Genocide” the term was deemed “insensitive to victims of recognized genocides” by the Canadian Jewish Congress. Not to be out-kvetched, the articles leads with photos of nazis plundering the Institute of Sexology. These sort of wiki articles are interesting lessons on leftist strategy.

Also within the same article is a term I was unfamiliar with, Memoricide, “extermination of the past of targeted people”. Now that right there is an interesting idea. Can anyone thing of a group whose contributions seem constantly undermined to serve the narrative of the newspeak agenda?

I suppose if a woman doesn’t androgynize her appearance to the point of being able to pass as a man, she can enjoy the benefits of being a woman and the additional benefits of being “trans.” Plus there is less pushback from TERFs and conservatives against female-to-male trannies, because they can’t use them as political fodder.

No, it’s not. But then, coddled tyrants tend to set the tone that everyone else tunes to.

It’s tough being civil when you’re used to getting away with that.

Audrey Hale was “trans” only in the sense that she started using male pronouns and referring to herself as “Aiden” — which happens to be, by far, the most stereotypical name of choice for a female-to-male tranny…

I did not know that. Thank you, Jim.

Miss Audrey had probably never heard of Audie “Shoot ‘Em Up” Murphey, a more logical masculine name than Aiden, since he died a dozen or so years before she was born.
