Survive the Jive presents a short video describing several of the pre-Christian customs for May Day in Europe, and how they derive from a tradition related to the proto-Indo-European goddess, Hausos. Happy May Day!
How delightful! I have had some very sour Christians say to me that there never were these celebrations or a Goddess of the Dawn or whisper that if there were they were EVIL One does have to pity them. How funny, because I remember having to dress up for church in a new easter bonnet and dress and white gloves and I did not get why. I am not sure my parents knew why either.
