In this video Bowden mentions that Evola called himself a “Catholic Pagan”. I’ve wondered ever since if Evola meant he was a Catholic Pagan in the sense the he embraced a kind of universal paganism, or if he was a Catholic pagan in that he embraced the traditionalist aspects of both Catholicism and paganism. Could any one shed some light on this? Thanks.
Thank you both! I’ve always identified strongly with and admired Jesus Christ, but this site has helped develop in me a love for the religion of my ancient ancestors as well. Unfortunately I find myself torn between the two, but I hope to reconcile them in my mind one day. Hence my interest in Evola’s term “Catholic Paganism”. Mr. Johnson, thanks also for this website!

His article ‘Against the Neo-Pagans’ may be a good place to start. There are many places on the net to read it.
