I recorded a 90-minute interview with Radio Evropa in the Netherlands. Topics include civic nationalism, ethnonationalism, Dutch politics, and the Dutch reaction to Trump’s election. You can listen here. (Only the opening and closing words are in Dutch.) I want to thank Constant and the Erkenbrand team for making this possible. (more…)
Henrik Palmgren and I had a wide-ranging 2-hour conversation on doxing, including the Millennial Woes and Mike Enoch cases, Hailgate, the self-defeating trap of identifying White Nationalism with National Socialism, and the necessity of ending the “trolls’ veto” of real world community-building and networking. Calling UKIP “racist” and “neo-Fascist” because of their opposition to mass immigration, she opined that the idea of Farage being relevant to US voters is ridiculous, since only a “radical fringe” of people would even care about the issues he is associated with. Because the definition of fascism is so fleeting and the word itself so abused, academics who are at least a little bit serious about understanding fascism have attempted to make a fascist checklist. The most memorable points are also the most superficial. Fascists share the Myth of a Golden Age, the promise of palingenisis, militaristic symbolism and rhetoric, etc.. However, beneath the surface there is a paradox in fascism that has escaped the bourgeois and Marxist academics: Fascism is the greatest force for reconciliation between the various strands of any society.
