Authorities confirmed this week that human remains that had been found in western Pennsylvania earlier this month belonged to a 14-year-old “trans girl” by the name of Pauly Likens. DaShawn Watkins, a 29-year-old black male who met Likens via the dating app Grindr, has been charged with murdering Likens and dismembering his corpse. Predictably, this incident has elicited condemnations of “transphobic” conservatives (and “TERFs”), whom the Left accuses of spreading “hate” and causing “hate crimes.” (more…)

Last Monday afternoon outside a Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted, Ohio that had been the scene of a murder-suicide late last June, a portly woman dressed in all-black clothing stabbed 38-year-old Margot Wood and her three-year-old son Julian. (more…)

As black violence increasingly plagues American society, even the most milquetoast moderate whites are beginning to concede that something is amiss with blacks. But most are yet unwilling to identify the true source of the problem and instead cite things such as “Democrat-run cities” or “inner-city violence.” Other, more daring moderates argue that “black culture” contributes to the rising violence in our cities and must therefore be addressed. For years I worked as police reporter for the Washington Times, spending long hours in squad cars in various cities getting to know cops well. Now I listen to nice white people in the suburbs, and self-assured voices from National Public Radio (NPR), talking about the police. They know nothing of the world where the police work. (more…)

In news reports, the word “teen” has become a dog whistle that racist reporters use to identify young, black criminal suspects. Due to misguided propriety, it’s considered racist merely to call them black, even though everyone knows that when you identify anyone in a news story as a “teen,” that’s shorthand for “young black malefactor.” (more…)
