Nationalism This Week
Chain Reactions & Control Rods

Greg Johnson

2,373 words

1. Chain Reactions & Control Rods

If the elites who rule us were truly far-sighted, they would have strangled the Internet in its crib. Their control was never greater than when there were only three major television networks and all newspapers followed the Associated Press.

The old media were one-way conduits delivering standardized messages to isolated individuals. Since the rise of the Internet and social media, dissenting ideas flow much more freely, because there are many more channels, including person-to-person “viral” propagation, which can grow exponentially, circling the globe over and over at lighting speed.

When information that delegitimizes a political system and offers a better alternative spreads this way, the consequences can be literally revolutionary.

I liken it to a nuclear reaction, in which atoms of nuclear fuel (usually uranium-235 or plutonium-239) are bombarded with neutrons, splitting the atoms into smaller fragments, releasing both energy and other neutrons. These newly released neutrons split other atoms, releasing still more neutrons, etc., which is called a “chain reaction.”

Chain reactions can be dangerous. If there is enough fuel, it can lead to a nuclear explosion. In nuclear power plants, there is never enough fuel for an explosion. But an out-of-control chain reaction can cause a reactor “meltdown,” releasing radiation.

The way that nuclear power plants prevent meltdowns is by inserting “control rods” into the nuclear fuel. Control rods simply impede neutrons from finding and splitting other atoms. Control rods are made of elements like boron, which absorb neutrons without undergoing fission. By impeding the free flow of neutrons, control rods keep the reaction under control, allowing it to be exploited for power generation.

I think a similar thing is at work in controlling the flow of dissident ideas. I have long been amazed at the vacuousness of discourse in fake right spheres like the Intellectual Dark Web and the Bronze Age Barry Weiss Sphere.

Then it occurred to me that maybe these people aren’t there to offer serious ideas and sound priorities. They are simply there to prevent people from finding such things. They are control rods, jammed into our discursive spaces to prevent us from finding the truth and forming real networks that could challenge the ruling powers.

Just as the “meaning” of a lot of modern art is simply that it prevents you from finding genuine art, the meaning of a lot of faux-Right diversions is that they prevent you from finding your way to the truth. Congratulations, by the way, because if you are reading this, you’ve made it.

2. This New Cold War Is a Good Thing, Actually

This biggest news of the week took place in Beijing, where Red China showed off its military might and received leaders of such client states as Russia and North Korea, as well as Narendra Modi of India. Anti-American geopolitical commentators were priapic. “Could this be the beginning of a new multipolar world?”

We’ve always lived in a multipolar world. The idea of a unipolar world was floated by Jewish neocon Charles Krauthammer in a 1990 Foreign Affairs article entitled “The Unipolar Moment.” The article was part of the wave of giddiness set off by the collapse of Communism in 1989, the same wave that prompted Francis Fukuyama to raise the question of “The End of History?”  Both Krauthammer and Fukuyama hoped that the Communist world would basically become indistinguishable from liberal-democratic capitalism and that somehow they’d all end up following America’s lead.

The “unipolar moment” didn’t last one minute, because Russia was still ruled by elements of the old Soviet elite, China was still ruled by the Chinese Communist Party, and both powers had nuclear deterrents. Both, moreover, were content to exploit American unipolar giddiness to build their strength by trading with the West. While America hollowed out its economy, China grew stronger. Russia remained a shambles but bought friends with cheap gas and plowed some of the profits into meme production.

So no, a multipolar world is not just around the corner. It has always been here. The great change on the horizon is that West might finally be awakening to the fact that it has spent the last 35 years emptying itself out while building up its enemies.

I, for one, welcome a new Cold War against China, Russia, and India.

First, it would force the US and the West in general to bring home manufacturing.

Second, it would force us to send home millions of Chinese and Indian fifth columnists and spies. The more the “global south” cozies up to China, the more immigrants we have reasons to send back.

Third, it would force us to invest more in high tech research and development, which not only creates high paying jobs but also has positive economic knock-on effects.

Fourth, the last Cold War coincided with the greatest economic and population boom ever for white middle and working class people, whereas the end of the Cold War was the beginning of reckless globalization and declining living standards. Apparently, capitalists need the threat of a commissar shooting them in the back of the head every minute of the day, or they will sell out their nations in a heartbeat.

Fifth, the end of the Cold War made it possible for Western elites to binge on luxury beliefs like multiculturalism, feminism, green boondoggles, open borders, and the like. A new Cold War would force them to become a little bit more serious. It would also force them to appreciate their own people a bit more, as opposed to their current xenophilia.

Finally, a new Cold War would force the West to rebuild its martial spirit, which is a welcome counterweight to the selfishness, effeminacy, and frivolity of consumer society.

3. Will Nobody Think of the Narcoterrorists?

Earlier this week, Donald Trump announced the details of a strike on Venezuelan Tren de Aragua narcoterrorists in the southern Caribbean. The video footage shows a boat with eleven people in it being blown up.

This strike is part of the rising hostility between Venezuela and the Trump administration, which is itself part of a larger policy of building Fortress America. While Emperor Trump’s saber rattling against Canada and Denmark was dumb and disturbing, I do like the general trend of gradually trimming back the American Empire to focus on the Western Hemisphere.

It’s a refreshing change when “America strikes terrorists” stories actual refer to our enemies instead of Israel’s enemies. Tren de Aragua has an extensive history of terrorizing Americans within our own borders. One of the most notorious examples was when the gang took control of several apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado, storming one complex in a show of force to terrorize the residents. In addition to poisoning the blood of country with various drugs, Tren also engages in human trafficking, including a human trafficking ring run out of motels in Nashville, Tennessee.

Every child deserves to be loved as much as Leftists love criminals. Thus there was predictable kvetching about “due process.” Due process apparently applies only to the scum of the earth, never their victims.

When a journalist asked JD Vance “What legal authority did you operate under to take down a Venezuelan cartel boat?” Vance replied “The legal authority is that there are terrorists bringing deadly drugs into our country, and POTUS ran on a promise of stopping it. Next?” When Pete Hegseth was asked the same question, he said that the US had “absolute, total authority” to protect its citizens. The common good is the supreme law. It is good to see America acting like a serious country for a change.

As for the claim that the boat was actually full of migrants, my reaction is: this is probably disinformation. But I wish it were true. It would establish an important precedent. Europe only needs to blow up a few boatloads of migrants. Then the boats will stop coming. It is actually the humane option. Every migrant blown up off the shores of Europe will save the lives of European men, women, and children. If Europe’s current leaders are unwilling to pull the trigger, they will be replaced by those who are.

4. Marjorie Taylor Greene Putting America First

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is becoming one of the most consistent America-First Republicans. In fact, she’s more America First than Trump himself. Greene has recently spoken out against Israel’s Gaza genocide and the Jewish control over American foreign policy that makes it possible.

Greene has also been dogged in her commitment to exposing the full truth about Jeffrey Epstein, which is very close to the heart of Jewish control of America’s elites. On September 3, she attended a press conference alongside Representative Thomas Massie and several Epstein victims to demand accountability and transparency. For doing so, MTG was attacked by such MAGA luminaries as Laura Loomer, Ben Shapiro, Mike Cernovich, and . . . Catturd as being disloyal to Trump.

Admittedly, there were several leftists in attendance, as evidenced by some of the signs. But if anything should be a bipartisan issue, surely it is prosecuting a pedophile blackmail ring.

When it comes to the Epstein case, disloyalty to Trump is loyalty to America.

5. The Israel Litmus Test

Do a search for the name of any person in Congress along with the phrase “Israel as a Jewish state.” You’ll find that practically all of them have vowed their commitment to maintaining “Israel as a Jewish state.” Now do the same with the phrase “America as a white country.” I don’t think a single person in Congress would sign off on that. It would be “racist.”

But Israeli power is fading. When Israel’s chief butcher Netanyahu told Breitbart “You can’t be MAGA if you’re anti-Israel,” Steve Bannon responded: “American Citizens Do Not Give 2 Fucks About Your Thoughts on MAGA. . . .  They Care About Exposing Your Pathological Lies in Order to Keep Us Out of Your Next War.” On September 2, Bannon said on his WarRoom podcast: “Netanyahu says you can’t be MAGA and be anti-Israel. Wrong. You can be pro or anti-Israel, as long as you’re AMERICA FIRST. That is our movement. If Israel wants regime change go ahead, but we will NOT be dragged in.”

On September 4, Yoram Hazony’s speech at the fifth National Conservatism conference ruefully acknowledged that Jews and Jewish interests are no longer sacrosanct within the MAGA coalition. Of course not. You can’t make Make America Great Again if foreign interests outweigh those of your own country.

Trump needs to be America First in substance as well as slogan.

6. Deployment to Chiraq

Donald Trump brought law and order to Washington DC by deploying 2,000 National Guard troops. Predictably, Leftists were outraged that blacks were being denied their fundamental right to cap each other. Some commentators mocked photos of troops just standing around doing nothing. Yes, because deterrence . . . deters. Other troops have been castigated for going around picking up garbage. But this is very much part of their mission. It is the reverse of the “broken window” theory, which posits that visible signs of disorder encourage crime. Visible signs of order discourage crime.

The tactic has been so successful that Trump has promised to tame Chicago next. A 2023 study found that young men (mostly blacks) in Chicago’s 60624 zip code were almost twice as likely to die from a firearm homicide than a US soldier in a combat brigade was to die from enemy action in Iraq. This past Labor Day weekend, 58 people were shot in 37 separate incidents in Chicago. Proving Steve Sailor’s law of mass shootings, only 8 of them died.

Trump can start by jailing Chicago’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, who is apparently planning an insurrection. As he said in a very sassy speech, “Are you prepared to defend this land. This land which was built by slaves. A land which was built by indigenous people. A land that is built by workers. Are you prepared to defend this land? The people, united, will always prevail!”

7. The Next Color Revolution is Canceled

The Trump administration is making it clear that there will be no second color revolution. On August 25, 2025, Trump signed an executive order directing the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, to create a “National Rapid Response Task Force” within the National Guard “to assist federal, state and local law enforcement in quelling civil disturbances and ensuring the public safety and order whenever the circumstances necessitate.” This is a welcome change from Trump’s 2020 strategy of acting like a deer in the headlights in the aftermath of a stolen election. No, it is not enough to have lots of supporters with guns to put down an insurrection. They need to be organized and operating under the aegis of state power, otherwise you will lose and ironically be accused of “insurrection” for having lost. To borrow a phrase from David Zsutty, “It’s not a fed post when you have federal power.”

8. Beware of Foreign Influencables

Influencable is a social media company that pays social media influencers to promote memes. They aren’t exactly subtle, so it is easy to spot their work. If several major accounts all start using the same talking point at the same time, that’s usually the mark of a coordinated campaign.

The X account Aesthetica noticed that several conservative influencers started shilling for India at the same time, usually with some variation of the talking point that India was a good friend and counterweight to China. Aesthetic also claimed that he had heard “from 4 independent sources that @RyanAFournier is the person who set up the india campaign” and that “he approaches conservative influencers to join his paid propaganda group citing ‘access to some of the top MAGA influencers on X like DC Draino, Gunther Eagleman, Juanita Broadrick, etc.’”

Charlie Kirk then amplified Aesthetica’s findings by posting “Who exactly is paying them and how much? We have laws against foreign interests paying social media influencers. We should start enforcing them.” This is more than a tad ironic given how Charlie Kirk and TPUSA are very comfortable with unmitigated Israeli influence.

I guess I don’t live in the same universe as people like Lauren Southern and Tim Pool, because nobody ever offered me a cent to change my positions on anything, although a Eurasianist once hinted that suitcases of cash could materialize if I were to promote Russian and Iranian propaganda.

Kevin DeAnna has often repeated that he is surprised disappointed that no Republican has positioned themselves to the right of Trump. Could MTG be the one? She and Massie are the only elected Republicans who seems to understand which way the wind is blowing re support for Israel.

I would like to see a GOP version of “The Squad” in Congress that can put some pressure on Mike Johnson and his lackeys. The gay race communists have AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Crockett. MTG could be the face of an analogous bloc on the Right.

I completely agree. The Left gets “vanguardism.” Libertarians get it too. But it is only now occurring to the MAGA Right. There are three mainstream people on the Right who need to be protected:
      Massie
      Greene
      Tucker Carlsson

They are wrong on lots of things. But they are right about some of the most important things.

Massie’s upcoming primary election will be one to watch. It would be quite humiliating for Trump and Johnson if he survives it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if MTG runs for the GOP nomination in 2028. She seems to be trying to build a national brand.

I don’t believe that the Jewish owners of the money (dollar) would allow the white fighting spirit in the fight against China and think of victory. We white warriors need to 1. build a parallel white system 2. Reconquista and replace the current system with nationalism. The current system will always be against us whether we are at war with China, Russia, Afghanistan. The white man led by a Jews must always lose, remember the Vietnam war and the US wars of the last 20 years? Where was the white fighting spirit present, where are the American victories? Where are the lessons learned from the disastrous US military defeats?

The one point where we don’t see eye-to-eye is on a new cold war. I want a true Russian / White nationalist Russia to join North America and Europe in a new cold war against India and China (and Israel, but that’s longer term).

Long ago organized Jewry chose Aryans as their enemy.

Let’s not lump Ultrarightist‘s rare “true Russian / White nationalist Russians”
in with the anti-ethnic Russian nationalist Putin regime. Ethnic Russians are our racial cousins, no more White Americans’ enemies than were ethnic Germans in last century’s  disastrous world wars; we must build a most (bridge) between us and them.

Greg, I will never be a “social media influencer.”  That is an apt term, however, and am pleased that you and other C-Cers are SMIs for our side.

This is a good description of the broken-window theory. Why/what’s the quibble?

And “Visible signs of order discourage crime.”

I did a doubletake too, but the original grammar is correct.

Basically, the aesthetics of Order genuinely promotes Order, not just cosmetically. And the aesthetics of Disorder literally promotes lawlessness.

The main reason that Liberals have a problem with “common sense crime control” is that one weird fact related to all aspects of Crime ─ from thefts, rapes, gun violence, etc., which is (of course) the melanated demographic component.

A simple “stop and frisk policy” of Yoots, targeting the Jeune African demographic especially, decimates violent street crime.

Right now the fragile Liberals are in an uproar about Fah-scism because Trump is sending troops into the the dusky inner cities to deal with crime. Their Trump Derangement Syndrome projections about the “desperation” of the Administration are hilarious.

Also, the Letters to the Editor and Editorial sections of various newspapers across the country are quite amusing as they repeat the same innumerate talking points and tropes ─ such as how the crime in Red States is “just as bad.”

Um, so what large inner cities actually have GOP officials and high crime exactly?

I cannot think of any that are not run by Blue officials if not incompetent DIE hires. And the more violent the crime, the Blacker the city too. DC, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, Oakland, Chicongo.

The only high-crime city that is not Negro is Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a population about 500 thousand ─ and it is very Blue and mostly Hispanic, therfore leaning more in the direction of property crime than violent crime.

By contrast, Gilbert, Arizona ─ which has a population of nearly 290 thousand or nearly a third larger than Salt Lake City proper ─ and in the 5 million strong Phoenix metropolitan area, is one of the lowest crime cities in the country.

Democrats don’t support incarceration for crime control because then the jails start filling up with Negroes. That is also why they don’t support the Death Penalty.

          🙂

What a windup toy. He doesn’t know what he’s saying. Slaves=black. Indigenous=Indians.* Workers=white. None of whom have anything in common.

Also, how can a land be built? That sounds like glaciers and geology.

The NRRTP is wonderful news. Finally something resembling a right wing is forming. Having an elite unit designed to put down riots is surely preparation for a regular occurrence in the non-White anti-America. This is great. May America’s Caesar cross paths with Krakus and Pompey fighting the American Spartacus Rebellions. May they be so bold as to, if necessary, recall the Appian Way.

This clip represents a major positive development in the YooKay. Finally an Englishman has declared the tribes of England on mainstream TV and called out the genocidal project of dispossessing the tribes of the British Isles and replacing them with alien invaders. I hope that free speech America finds some emerging, spirited youth who can use such words.

All good stuff here but, please, get rid of this obsession with “the West”!

If you want to have a true, White racial perspective, then “the North” is the only possible cardinal and geopolitical direction to aspire to. An alliance of the racialist elements of North America; a united, White Europe (including the White British Isles); and a White European Russia is the only way forward. This will bring together about 500-600 million White people in the only possible configuration to have any chance to stand up against the over 7 billion nonwhites in the world today.

Anything else is a death sentence…

One thing we do need to remember is that there are numbers at which point it doesn’t matter how big it is. I agree with the idea that we need a Pan-European Imperium in order to form a power block, or a Civilizational block as Huntington called it.

There is a certain number where the quality is so low and the quantity so high that some of these big countries have a serious albatross when it comes to mobilizing for war. Moreover, India and Africa do not have a warrior caste. China is a different story.

Where the North/West has gone wrong is in importing not just a helot class, but in importing an elite cast from rivals India and China. That was the most stupid idea ever followed. What is to stop them from in decades or a century inviting in their billion surplus to just liquidate the North/West? Already India appears to be absconding with the American software industry. It beggars belief what this ruling regime has done. Maybe it makes more sense when you consider Netanyahu’s openly stated love affair with his great friend Modi and Steinleighter’s join with Asia to divide and conquer strategy outlined in ’01.

In any case, with drones, nuclear weapons and our vast array of advanced weapons systems and two massive oceans we should have had no problems for eternity and could mobilize to help take care of Europe. If anything, we could have used Canada and America as a place for surplus population management to get our surplus labor at the elite, middle and lower tiers. Instead they chose the global detritus.

There are enough of us to wreak havoc but giving away North America is a massive blunder that we better dig our way out of.

      To the North!

Agreed. “The West” has always been defined as European civilization and the people that built it.

This means that while the settlement of North America proceeded from East to West, the Antipodes are easily included in this civilizational sphere unless one entirely ignores White people in the telescopically-remote countries that they built.

I like this weekly format. Eight good topics.
    1. Control Rods – a good metaphor for fraudulent operations, such as QAnon. They serve as a controlled opposition.
    2. The New Cold War is a good thing, for the reasons given.
    3. Trump is actually killing narco-terrorists. Good move. I hope he does more. We need a real war on drugs. That would really enrage the loony-left, even more than usual.
    4. MTG is good on all issues. The same for Thomas Massie. AIPAC hates both. AIPAC must be required to register as a foreign lobby.
    5. Steve Bannon is right about Israel. MAGA no longer supports Israel uncritically. They put America First, not Israel.
    6. Chicago has become an urban jungle. Blacks like it that way. It reminds them of their African homeland.
    7. All these Color Revolutions are top-down operations, financed and controlled by the usual suspects.
    8. Foreign Influencers are easy to spot. Anyone promoting Israel is a likely suspect.

Not a very profound contribution, perhaps, in our analogy of “Chain Reactions and Control Rods,” but maybe also consider the role of “Moderation.”

In nuclear fission, the neutron moderator is extremely important. Basically a Moderator is a substance like Graphite or Heavy Water, which slows the extra neutrons emitted from a splitting nucleus so that they are more likely to hit another nucleus and cause it to split, thereby contributing to the chain reaction.

This is measured by an interesting unit called the Barn, as in “shooting the broad side of a barn.”

A Moderator helps promote the nuclear chain reaction even when the fissile fuel is not enriched for its U-235 concentation as muchbas desired. There is a careful balance here between feasibility and stability.

The first reactor core explosion occurred with the SL-1 test reactor on the Idaho desert East of Idaho Falls in 1961. Here a small reactor being designed for remote operation by military personnel had the U-235 fuel enrichment too high, so that merely pulling the Boron control rod out a few inches too far led to a flash steam explosion that killed three Army servicemen and impaled one man’s radioactive body to the building ceiling.

Reactors such as Chernobyl which were Graphite-moderated but integrated both roles of Plutonium for weapons production and industrial Atomic electrical generation, operated within similar tricky parameters. And the fact that Chernobyl had no concrete containment dome ─ unlike every commercial American reactor ─ was a problem that came home to roost eventually.

One problem with an unstable reactor design is that something simple like the addition of more water coolant might increase the fission of U-235 in the already overheating reactor core because of the increased neutron moderation.

In 1979, the Three Mile Island reactor at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania had a stuck coolant valve and therefore overheated and melted down when the control operators misisterpreted the telemetry and defeated the automatic shut-down feature because they thought the stuck coolant valve was stuck open and likely flooding instead of stuck closed and boiling dry ─ and the result was a core meldown which ruined the reactor and entailed a very small release of radioactive gas which unjustifiably alarmed the public.

If the reactor operators had just done nothing and walked away when core overheated, it would have simply shut itself off and nothing bad would have happened.

TMI is a classic case of institutional failure because of the misinterpretation of what should have been straightforward troublshooting data ─ and the inarticulation of government officials and the news media in explaining simple things to the public in their interest magnified the scale and scope of the disaster.

Even today you will find people who blame their kid’s autism or their Dad’s three-pack-a-day cancer on the Three Mile Island (Public Relations) disaster, which is something that they got from watching TV or the movies and not from any real radiation hazard.

The public was much more informed by the nonsense contained in the contemporaneous China Syndrome movie starring Jack Lemmon and Hanoi Jane Fonda, the latter sporting red hair, rather than anything relevant to actual TMI radioactive spillage and the news reporting.

That is why it is necessary for knowledgable officials to explain such things like radiation exposure to the public in terms of “Banana Dose Equivalents” and dental X-rays (LINK). Instead we got Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter solemnly walking around the TMI plant in yellow rubber boots to reassure us.

Another point is that the inert isotope of U-238, which comprises over 99 percent of natural Uranium, can itself become fissile with so-called Fast neutrons. So the easiest way to boost a small thermonuclear (fusion) bomb is to include a big U-238 tamper in the casing. The largest nuclear weapon ever tested was the Tsar Bomba, tested in 1961, which had a yield of about 54 megatons of TNT, and due to the U-238 tamper had high radioactive fallout.

In the test, the designer Andrei Sakharov halved the size of the U-238 tamper (replacing it with Lead) in order to minimize the radioactive fallout which also halved the Tsar Bomb’s explosive yield.

Fission A-bombs like what was used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki are used to trigger a larger fusion H-bomb reaction, and then the fusion reaction generates fast neutrons that can cause the fission of usually non-fissile U-238, thus cheaply magnifying the atomic yield of a bomb (but also at the expense of increased radioactive fallout).

Otherwise, fusion bombs do not yield very much in radioactive fallout, as they only require a small fission trigger. Usually Lithium Deuteride absorbs neutrons from a fission blast and converts to fusable Hydrogen isotopes before undergoing thermonuclear fusion and releasing enormous amounts of energy.

So, to get back to our “Chain Reactions and Control Rod” analogy ─ think of moderation or moderator here in terms like “well-regulated militia,” or in other words like a well-ordered and organized effort, supported by the State and by the People.

Real change is seldom wrought by flash-in-the-pan outbreaks.

    🙂

Greg, has your view of Charlie Kirk and TPSUA’s comfort with Israeli influencers changed now that he has been assassinated? To whom do you believe will he be a martyr?

Charlie Kirk [on conservative influencers shilling for India]: “Who exactly is paying them and how much? We have laws against foreign interests paying social media influencers. We should start enforcing them.” This is more than a tad ironic given how Charlie Kirk and TPUSA are very comfortable with unmitigated Israeli influence.
