I think matchmaking (which involves vetting) and a return to courtship can help people avoid the sort of abusive situations described. Sexual Revolution made it so that anyone can attach to or screw anyone, and oftentimes the results are abusive and sterile.

This morning I read your article about commandments for your son, and saved it. I have a son too, and those commandments are great. I had a neglectful dad who didn’t foster any life skills in me at all.
