I have been asked for my opinion of long-time White Nationalist Frazier Glenn Miller’s shooting spree in Overland Park, Kansas, on April 13, 2014, in which he murdered three white people, including a 14-year-old boy, outside a Jewish Community Center and a Jewish old folks home, apparently while shouting Adolf Hitler’s name.
There’s no point in lingering too long over the layer upon layer of idiocy and evil in this act. Miller wanted to strike at Jews, whom he blames with good reason for the ongoing destruction of our people, and he killed three of our people, hastening the day when whites become extinct, increasing public sympathy for Jews, and putting White Nationalism in an even worse light. If the white race still exists on this planet in 200 years, it will be no thanks to Glenn Miller.
Even if he had killed three Jews, did he really imagine that by randomly selecting three Jews in Kansas, he was striking at the leadership of the Jewish community? Or did he think that all Jews are equally responsible for what their leaders promote? And even if he had struck down three Jewish leaders, did he imagine that this would do anything but increase our people’s sympathy for Jews and reinforce negative opinions of White Nationalists?
Didn’t Miller believe that Jews control the media and thus have the power to paint his actions in a way that helps their cause and harms ours? Of course, that is easy, because only a fool could think that Miller’s actions help our cause.
And why was he taking Hitler’s name in vain? Did he really think that Hitler would have approved of such pointless terrorism? Even if Hitler were every bit as evil as his enemies make out, he wasn’t stupid.
The reason I wrote my essay “New Right vs. Old Right” in May of 2012 is because I wished to draw a bright clear line between the project of the North American New Right and what I call the Old Right, namely classical National Socialism and Fascism and their latter-day imitators, including people like William Pierce, Alex Linder, and, down at the bottom of the barrel, Glenn Miller, Wade Michael Page, Anders Behring Breivik, and other gun-toting, spree-killing retards.
The North American New Right rejects the totalitarianism, terrorism, imperialism, and genocide of the Old Right.
It was perfectly logical for the National Socialists and Fascists to form uniformed paramilitaries when they were battling Communists who wished to impose a totalitarian dictatorship by terrorism and force of arms. And, given the proven inability of liberal democracies and old aristocracies to resist Bolshevism, it made sense for them to set up one party dictatorships which suppressed dissent and unified their nations by dint of propaganda and force — although they were never so “totalitarian” as the Bolsheviks. The Old Right’s methods were, in short, perfectly adapted to the methods of their enemies. They merely took a gun to a gun fight.
But Jewish political dominance in America was not imposed by Bolshevik methods. It was achieved within the framework of liberal democracy by first attaining metapolitical hegemony through propaganda and institutional subversion. Thus the New Right proposes to fight them the same way: through changing minds, culture, and institutions. One fights bad ideas with better ideas, cultural subversion with cultural renewal, institutional subversion with institutional renewal.
These counter-measures are not just appropriate to the enemy’s attack, but they play to our strengths. The moral, scientific, and historical case for White Nationalism has never been stronger, even though we lack money, organizational competence, and political power. The enemy, by contrast, has never been richer, better organized, or more politically powerful. But they have never been weaker on moral, scientific, and historical grounds. And as human beings, they have never been more corrupt, decadent, and repulsive to healthy people.
What is the Old Right response to this strategic situation? Based on Alex Linder’s Vanguard News Network Forum, which Glenn Miller frequented, the Old Right approach is to drop our strongest weapons (particularly morality), to put together a cadre of people who are even more repulsive and crazy than the enemy leadership, and then to charge the enemy at his strongest point.[1]
Old Right types typically accuse me of bringing a pen to a gunfight, but I accuse them of bringing a gun to a battle of ideas. Glenn Miller shows us how well that works out.

1. Linder, who has never heard of a spree killer he hasn’t liked, has been silent since Miller’s rampage. Some are speculating that the SPLC will use Miller’s connection to VNN to try to shut down Linder’s tard hatchery. But this is wishful thinking. Why would the system shut down VNN Forum when Miller’s actions work entirely to the system’s advantage? Objectively, VNN Forum is an enemy asset. If I were them, I would be donating to it.

The actions of Miller did not hurt the white cause. It got the white cause to be center of attention for a few days. That’s more publicity than the white man march did. Instead of being critical of the seemingly stupid actions of Miller, you should take advantage of it.
The old adage, “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” has never been more true.
Negative attention is a negative. The enemy wants people to think that we are all stupid, crazy, and evil. Glenn Miller tends to prove that point.
I don’t have any interest in Linderite WN, but the reaction isn’t as negative as I anticipated. A few thoughts:
1. There have been so many spree-shootings in America recently, the public just can’t be bothered to muster outrage. What was it, last week when a Puerto Rican shot-up Fort Hood? And just last night there was a mass-stabbing up in Canada that killed 5 people. This is the “new normal.”
2. Much of the Jewish press covering the event is concentrating its energy on how Miller had the tendency to cite “professional bad Jew” Max Blumenthal. Blumenthal and the BDS movement that he sympathetically covers is seen as a much larger threat to Zionism than the odd RW nutcase.
Is this good press for WN? Of course not. Good press is getting people to visit Counter-Currents and buy books.

I think the Jews were mostly successful in getting their own people in the government and in policy making positions. But their propaganda is complete rubbish. It only works because they control almost ALL THE MEDIA. It is based on censorship and intimidation. It is mainly effective in silencing normal people and preventing us from getting organized. But very few people have been convinced by the Jews that diversity is good for them. They have simply been convinced that it is dangerous to say otherwise.

It isn’t enough to fight the Jewish nonsense with solid common sense. People already agree with us, but the government doesn’t care what people think. We live under a soft dictatorship.

And yet we get nowhere. It goes to prove that the truth doesn’t matter! As an alternative to violence, what we need is money. We need to find a White Nationalist billionaire! Even without money, White people will start organizing at some point, but a lot of time will have been lost.
Linder is dumb to mention the idea of killing the Jews, and I don’t like his attacks against fellow white nationalists, but I’ve listened to interviews of him at MajorityRights, The White Network, and Radio Free Mississippi (Jim Giles), and I think he is more realistic about Jewish power than most other white nationalists. He doesn’t think we are simply fighting ideas. He knows we are up against a dictatorship.
Truth does matter and even if we do not see in our life time the results we are aiming for, we still have to stick to it. Perseverance in the face of adversity makes one stronger. A better idea will prevail, if we do not allow ourselves to panic. The better idea is the idea we are creating.
I am relatively new to a lot of the ethno-nationalist/New Right stuff. I was an HBD aware paleo-libertarian until last year. I enjoy sites like Counter Currents and Amren, but VNNF seems pretty crazy and dumb to me. One VNNF member in particular has a habit of leaving incredibly offensive and asinine comments about “kikes”on Amren that usually get deleted. How do comments like these actually further the cause or create good conversation?
I recognize the negative influence Jews have had on Western Europe, but a lot of the anti-Semitic commentary I see in comment sections and forums is filled with craziness. Khazar theory has been scientifically discredited, but for some reason it never goes away.
Because of self-selection and the effects of the taboos against white ethno-nationalism, I think that a disproportionate number of them are unsavory characters. They are constantly fighting with one another and doing things that make no strategic sense. This doesn’t seem to be as much of a problem with European nationalists. Not all white nationalists are like this, or even most, but there does seem to be quite a few of these individuals from what I’ve seen.
White Nationalism is for Whites, not Jews. Amren refuses to make this distinction and allows Jews to disparage White Nationalists on a forum that is supposedly for White Nationalists – and even bans White Nationalists who object. Thus Jared Taylor is not to be trusted despite his rhetorical gifts and the contribution he has made. Jews have disproved the Khazar theory, but objectivity has never been their strong suite, has it?

Dr. Johnson, respectfully, your assumption as to the elements you have categorized as “Old Right” is incorrect, Likewise, your assumption that the likes of Alex Linder and Glen Miller are representatives of those elements is equally incorrect. Thus you are operating from a false premise.
Yes and no. I think that National Socialism and Fascism were not totalitarian in the Stalin/Orwell sense, but they were one party dictatorships which imposed their leaders’ visions on the whole of society. They were most definitely imperialistic in ways that violate the basic enthonationalist principle of self-determination for all peoples. And once they were at war, they did use terror to maintain control of subject populations. And as for genocide, I do not believe that Hitler planned to kill off every last Jew or Slav. But even if all the contentions of revisionists are true, the Germans and their allies still committed Holocaust enough. Which is why I think that Revisionism is not enough to banish that cloud and the long shadow it casts into the future.
Those historical points aside, however, (1) there is a continuity between National Socialism and William Pierce, and between William Pierce and Alex Linder, and (2) there is no question that they are advocates of totalitarianism, imperialism, terrorism, and genocide. With one small caveat: Linder is a libertarian, not a totalitarian. He thinks that a libertarian government will implement his genocide against Jews and non-whites.
I want to draw a clear line between those people and what I am doing.
What “Holocaust” did Germans commit “enough”? From the record I have found, Germans arrested Jews without officially charging them and with no due process. Didn’t the Americans do that to Japanese-Americans?
Didn’t every major power in WWII have camps or imprisonment of some type for their racial/political enemies, as they saw them? What international law did Germany violate that the allies did not also violate?
They also killed Jews for just being Jews, and beyond that, their plans for Russia and Ukraine were certainly genocidal — not in the sense that they would have killed every Slav — but in the sense that they would have dispossessed them from their lands, made them into helots, and basically mandated their long-run extinction as distinct peoples. Hitler wanted them treated like American Indians or Indian coolies. He might not have gotten his way, of course, but that was definitely his intent.
Did the Soviet Union/Russia really treat the Slavs any better either before the war or after? They had 50 years after the war to do something with Eastern Europe and accomplished nothing. Even the Chinese managed to alter their communist system enough so that it could survive. Personally, I’m not a big believer in “the basic ethnonationalist principle of self-determination for all peoples”. Europe, with all its relatively small nation states, seems like a silly arrangement to me. For me, one of the absolutes for a new white America would be the maintenance, at all costs, of our current living space-at least the lower 48 states.
I agree with you allmost on everything. You make a very good point. We need more think-tanks. We need to follow metaphysical, metapolitical and metahistoric principles. I believe that Julius Evola is the only “filter” and “straightener” for the best of us to come to light.
Tragic, incidents such as these do such harm too our cause. Still, I can understand such a desperate act, even though I would never do such a deed. It has been pointed out by others that such unstable individuals must be identified, disavowed and expelled from our group, something which I agree with wholeheartedly. Our priorities must be to establish the philosophical and intellectual foundations (e. g. Counter-Currents) of our movement then create the political apparatus ( movement stage) to pursue our objectives and influence society. Violence (militant stage) is always the last stage.

We should really be thinking of fourth generational warfare. Three generations of getting the message out and once enough of our own people are onside maybe the great grandchildren could actually do something. Otherwise, steady as she goes and on with thingamaybob’s long march.
It is often the case that those who engage in the most vicious genocidal language and incitements to violence are on the payroll of the FBI and\or the SPLC. I would cite the case of Hal Turner as being the most famous of recent cases. If the government really thought someone like Alex Linder, with his vicious rhetoric and connections to violent fanatics like Miller, was dangerous they’d find a way to silence him. (It didn’t take much for Obama’s goons to toss that Coptic filmmaker in jail for his Muhammad parody on YouTube.) But they don’t do this. I think we can all assume why.
Sure, there are informants, snitches, and agents provocateur. Some people are not what they seem. But some people are just what they seem. Not every evil, dysfunctional, crazy, counter-productive WN is a fake or provocateur, and we need to come to grips with the fact that the WN milieu is filled with bona fide dysfunctionals and crazies.
That’s why I feel the need to create a new movement, a North American New Right that repulses the retards and dysfunctionals. One reason I publish Jack Donovan and James J. O’Meara, aside from the fact that they are excellent writers, is that they are like Kryptonite to those types. Nietzsche, Heidegger, classical music, high culture: all Kyrptonite as well. I really need a regular classical music reviewer. I can’t do everything myself.
I agree. There are plenty of insane, stupid, and outright evil people out there who need little prompting to violence. At the same time, the powers that be do play a considerable role in seeing to it that the narrative they’ve created is played out (Glenn Miller was an FBI informant). Perhaps one of the advantages and benefits if the New Right is that it isn’t so easily baited or steered into nihilistic, self-defeating violence. It doesn’t hurt to drive home the point that “right-wing extremism” is often a creation (Hal Turner) of the authorities.
The Pen is mightier than the sword? Yes, when it is backed by the sword. By itself, it is a very poor sword. The Pen and the Sword together will defeat just the Sword. And the Sword will defeat the Pen by itself. We will need the hard men when the time comes. The hard men who like classical will have to keep the thugs in line. I am not trying to be disagreeable or contrarian; I agree practically with Dr Johnson’s views 99-100%, with some theoretical problems I won’t go into here. I am relatively new to WN & 6 months ago I didn’t know who VNN or Linder was. I learn something new nearly daily. Regarding the ‘metapolitical’ strategy: that’s what the French New Right GRECE, Alain de Benoist, Guillame Fay et al were supposed to be, the concentrated metapolitical attack to set up social & cultural conditions enabling the installation of a political apparatus (‘party’ etc). I cheered when I heard the BBC news that FN won some victories recently, but in the cold hard light of truth it has more to do with the economic downturn than actual psychological breakthrough, intellectual revelation, etc. The same applies in North America. If seen that way, the metapolitical project was fielded by our best (in France, etc) & was all but a complete failure after 40 years. Why should it work here (under much ‘worse’ conditions)??? Nobody wants to believe it is possible more than me, but the evidence to date indicates otherwise. Thoughts?
1. Of course the BBC would say that the FN is winning because of an economic downturn. That is the standard liberal/left line: people vote for Right wing parties when bad economic times cause them to be receptive to “demagogues.” They will never admit that there are (1) non-economic (non-Marxist) explanations for Right-wing politics, and (2) that the right is winning the hearts and minds and idealism of supporters, not merely appealing to greed and hate and fear.
2. Faye argued that Benoist actually went out of his way to cut off or isolate the New Right from the National Front and practical politics in general, but of course that does not mean that the New Right still did not influence activists, voters, and donors who then supported the National Front. But Benoist could have had a much greater influence if he had been willing to actively engage the National Front and other Right-wing political parties. In the North American context, though, I think political parties are a waste of scarce time and money that should be spent on metapolitics, e.g., propagating ideas and building real-world communities. Political parties are at present a luxury we cannot afford.
3. Metapolitics can work in many ways: It can put wind in the sails of particular political parties, but it can also have other, subtler effects, such as reducing headwinds and resistance against them among intellectuals, clergy, voters, etc. who may no longer find the Left convincing or the Right so scary because of the labors of New Right intellectuals which have permeated the culture.
One of the reasons why Western liberal regimes can get away with grossly illiberal and hypocritical actions like persecuting Dieudonne or jailing Golden Dawn MPs (after their equivalent of Frazier Glenn Miller killed somebody) is that the public is apathetic. Effective propaganda and organizing, which could go as far as using pro-free speech and liberal organizations, could create sufficient public resistance to such behavior.
Of course, if liberal regimes persist in using force to silence their enemies, then they must ultimately be fought in the same terms. Look at the Communists, who worked withing the liberal democratic system as far as possible, but if they were banned, they had a branch ready for armed struggle.
I don’t know what the Golden Dawn leaders are thinking. Perhaps they are following a conscious strategy for dealing with state repression, even though it looks like they are just laying down and taking it. Perhaps we just need to wait and see. We will have to, in any case.
But my fear is that they were more macho than smart, and worse: their machismo was more bluster than willingness to physically challenge anyone stronger than random immigrants and communist hooligans.
If they had been communists, they would have had agents and front groups in place to field a coalition of protesters, not just in the name of Golden Dawn, but in the name of free speech, the constitution, and fair play. They would have identified publicly and vilified the key people behind their suppression.
And eventually, somebody who was not officially connected with or provably taking orders from GD — or not connected at all — a lone kook, a free speech lover, even a Left-wing anarchist or animal rights protestor, would have stepped from the shadows to personally terrorize the architects of repression or outright assassinate them.
It is a dangerous game, of course, because it could provoke more repression. But in weak and cynical opponents, like 98% of liberal democrats, who are not willing to die for anything, it could destroy the will to future repression.
Fight ideas with ideas, and force with force, and since we are the weaker party at present, the weapons we choose are entirely determined by the weapons the enemy chooses. Given the present correlation of forces in North America, we need to focus all our energy, talent, and resources on refining and propagating our worldview and building communities. Political activity today is a waste of time, energy, money, and talent. And armed struggle against the state, even fourth generation warfare, is pointless as well.
Again, in terms of money, organization, and power, our enemies have never been stronger. Intellectually — in terms of morality, science, and history — they have never been weaker. Only fools discard their best weapons and charge the enemy at their strongest point, which is what Old Right screwballs who are more macho than smart seem intent on doing.

Let’s not mince words – Miller gave millions of dollars worth of free publicity and moral supremacy – not legitimacy, which we seek, but supremacy, the high ground they already hold in the eyes of many. I have said before, and will repeat as often as possible, that, all too often, it is as if self-identified White Nationalists were working specifically at the command of those who wish to discredit us. Indeed, if Miller had been arrested wearing a white satin bedsheet and white satin pillowcases over his head, he could not have been a more effective parody of historically self-defined White Nationalism.

One, THE Truth matters. Yet, each of us, to a remarkable degree, creates his or her own personal construction of the social Reality before us. There is a sign over the Potala in Lhasa: “A Thousand Monks, A Thousand Religions.”
Two, the implicit assumptions that formed the social Reality of so many are failing, and they can not yet afford to replace old wineskins with new. They are too attached to a System that threw them under the bus starting around 1973. Think of the fervor of Ian Stewart and the Skinheads, and how it came to pretty much naught, as they were in love with the Great Britain that was, and not the Londonistan it became. They had nothing better intellectual to cope with the foundation of a new social system. The new wine could not find new wineskins, and, in the words of Savitri, waits patiently for those who are ready.
Three, we must be the functional equivalent of the billionaire everyone seeks, and who will never come for us. We must be the financial supporters of counter-currents, monthly, without fail. The problem with seeking the magic billionaire is this: he will use us, and discard us, at the first moment possible. Many of us contributing our twenties, fifties, and hundred to counter-currents provide a broad base of support, a resilient base of support, that can withstand the whims of the moment.
Money is not the root of all evil; the LACK of money is the root of all evil.

I have not been to VNN in the longest time, as his complaints against the Jews can be answered with the Covington Question: “And THEN What?”
Assume, for the moment, that all that Linder complains of has been erased from the face of the Earth. We then ask, “What would you do, and why?”
We THEN ask, “Why aren’t you doing that now?”
You will hear the sounds of crickets before you hear one word that addresses your questions.
This is the tremendous difference between Pierce, and Covington.
Pierce spoke (and wrote) all day about what was being done to us. Yet, he NEVER offered a politically viable solution, preferring instead to speak in terms of exterminationist fantasies, performed by a deux ex machina who came to save us from ourselves, as seen in what we allowed to be created.
Covington sees the only sustainable way forward, where we shift from victim mode to empowerment mode, and make of our lives the living foundation of the new nation.
Everything that does not support means to that end is simply the intellectual equivalent of Lear, tales told, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing other than the self-selected impotence of the speakers, the Children of William Pierce, who, like truly dysfunctional Peter Pans, never grew up, and never attempted the work of men, of building Civilization.
Sending money to counter-currents is the necessary foundation for the Great Work.

It sounds like a long Gramsci-esque march through the institutions. (How many years did it the take the ’68er’s?’) Only to find when the march is done, so is the demographic countdown.
There is still time to do this the right way, and if there is not, that is no argument for repetitions of dumb and failed strategies that will not save us either.
Glenn Miller is definitely off his rocker and his actions prove pointless, but I see no reason for the endless hand wringing and whining about how this might cast aspersions on white nationalism. As far as I can tell Miller has been rejected by the bulk of white nationalists as a traitor and as someone who cannot be trusted. Outside of his association with VNN he was essentially a one man band even though the SPLC, ADL and the like will suppress all of this.
Again, this shooting spree was just plain stupid, but people on the radical left do stupid and violent things all the time and I don’t see leftist blogs blowing up with scorn, teeth gnashing and soul searching over those actions. For example, the homosexual mulatto who attempted to kill as many people at the Family Research Council in 2012 was never condemned by the left as far as I can tell nor was the 2009 attack at Ft. Hood by radical Muslim Nidal Hassan. Nor has the NAACP of the Congressional Black Caucus ever upbraided or condemned the New Black Panther Party for inciting blacks to “kill cracker babies” or the rap lyrics exhorting ghetto blacks to murder white police officers and white people in general.
The radical, anti-white left acts as if they always have the moral high ground even in the face of the aforementioned atrocities, refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing and moves on with things. I think we need to start acting the same way.
Homework for our readers: spot the disanalogy between the Left and the Right on this issue.
The left believe in equality, conformity, scapegoating, the easy life and basically anarchy. Changing facts to suit the theory. The right think that people are unequal and have different abilities, the need for discipline, forbearance, excellence, struggle, and most of all Truth. Using facts to create reality. The only similarity is the desire to change things as they are. The inner struggle is more important than the outer one. Or as Evola said the inner struggle is the Greater Jihad. You don’t have to march through the institutions to change the way you see reality.
