I am very excited to announce a new Counter-Currents project: the republication of Jonathan Bowden’s Collected Works. In 1995, Bowden’s Avant Garde imprint published his Collected Works in 6 volumes, comprising 27 short books and running more than 2,600 pages. Only 12 of these books had been previously published, so the vast bulk of this collection was brand new material. Unfortunately, very few copies were printed, and used copies are unavailable at any price. Eight of the short books have been reprinted, but only two remain in print. Thus even Bowden fanatics like me have never read most of this material. But now we have access to all 6 volumes, so Counter-Currents and the Jonathan Bowden Archive will republish the Collected Works both online and in print. 

The new edition will be edited by Greg Johnson and Peter Jacobi. It will be a scholarly edition with annotations and indexes like our the Centennial Edition of Francis Parker Yockey’s Works. Like the Yockey edition, each volume will be published in a deluxe hardcover edition limited to 200 numbered copies, plus a regular paperback edition. The first volume will appear in 2026, and each subsequent volume will appear in one year intervals. I estimate the six volumes will run to 2,000 pages.

This will be a huge and expensive project, and we need capital to pay for it.

For a donation of $1,000 or more, you can become a Patron of the new edition of Jonathan Bowden’s Collected Works.

Once the original 6-volumes of Collected Works are out, there will be no reason to stop there. There are at least two early Bowden books that were not included in the Collected Works: Right and Beast. Plus there are early essays, including his contributions to The Revolutionary Conservative. These could form a seventh volume. Then, in addition to the five volumes of essays and transcripts already published by Counter-Currents, there are three more in the works: a volume of interviews and two volumes of political speeches. That’s a total of 15 volumes, and that does not include Bowden’s books published by The Spinning Top Club. Bowden’s Vanguard interviews could also form a volume of their own.  I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I feel I owe fellow Bowden enthusiasts a sense of what is possible. We’ll circle back to this when the first 6 volumes are in print.
