    La controversia del “Matrimonio Gay”

    9fahrenkrog1,651 words

    English original here

Tanto los promotores y opositores del matrimonio homosexual comparten una premisa falsa: que la legalización del matrimonio homosexual derriba la “heteronormatividad”, es decir, la idea de que la heterosexualidad es normal y las otras formas de sexualidad no lo son. Pero la idea de que cambiar leyes respecto al matrimonio puede cambiar la heteronormatividad es simplemente falsa.  (more…)

La controverse du « mariage gay »

    9fahrenkrog1,750 words

    English original here

Les promoteurs tout comme les adversaires du mariage homosexuel partagent une prémisse commune et erronée : que la légalisation du mariage homosexuel renverse l’« hétéro-normativité », c’est-à-dire l’idée que l’hétérosexualité est normale et que les autres formes de sexualité ne le sont pas. Mais l’idée que le changement des lois du mariage peut changer l’hétéro-normativité est simplement erronée.

    Prvotriedne a druhotriedne manželstvo

A blushing bride at 85, Spain's Duchess of Alba weds

    946 words

    English original here

Prekvapilo ma zistenie, že väčšina umiernených oponentov homosexuálnych manželstiev nemá problém s myšlienkou registrovaného partnerstva, ktoré poskytuje homosexuálom mnohé zo zákonných benefitov manželstva. Ich uvažovanie je nasledovné: ak dvaja homosexuáli chcú spoločne zdieľať svoj život a šťastie a starať sa jeden o druhého v chorobe i starobe, (more…)

    The “Gay Marriage” Controversy

    9fahrenkrog1,547 words

    First published June 28, 2013

    Translations: Czech, French, Greek, Spanish

Both the promoters and opponents of homosexual marriage share a common false premise: that the legalization of homosexual marriage overthrows “heteronormativity,” i.e., the idea that heterosexuality is normal and other forms of sexuality are not. But the idea that changing marriage laws can change heteronormativity is simply false.  (more…)

    Marriage: First & Second Class

A blushing bride at 85, Spain's Duchess of Alba weds

Seville, 2011: A blushing bride at 85, Spain’s Duchess of Alba weds

    968 words

    Slovak translation here

    First published July 3, 2013

I was surprised to learn that most moderate opponents of same-sex marriage have no problem with the idea of “domestic partnerships,” which give homosexual couples many of the legal benefits of marriage. Their thinking is: “If two homosexuals wish to share their lives and fortunes and take care of one another in sickness and old age, (more…)

Η διαμάχη σχετικά με το «γάμο των ομοφυλοφίλων»

    9fahrenkrog1,698 words

    English original here

Their thinking is: “If two homosexuals wish to share their lives and fortunes and take care of one another in sickness and old age, why shouldn’t they have the legal benefits that straight couples enjoy? Kontroverze „homosexuálních sňatků“

    9fahrenkrog1,298 words

    English original here

Jak zastánci, tak odpůrci homosexuálních sňatků sdílí společný mylný předpoklad: že legalizace homosexuálních sňatků zničí “heteronormativitu” (termín vyjadřující názor, že jen heterosexualita je normální sexuální orientace a že každé pohlaví má v životě své přirozené role). Avšak myšlenka, že změna sňatkového práva může změnit heteronomativitu je jednoduše mylná.
