Somewhere along the line, the Man-O-Sphere got mentioned.
Look at the various movements which form the network of said Man-O-Sphere.
You have Men’s Rights Activists (MRAs) who push for overturning anti-male laws and policies. You have Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) de facto boycotting feminist dominated institutions. You have the Pickup Artists (PUA) with strategies for navigating the minefields of the social world and providing a backhanded form of alpha male creation.
The term “Red Pill” probably had its origins with MGTOW, with all the implications that has had for the meme industry of the Dissident Right.
Heartiste was on the intersection of the Man-O-Sphere and Dissident Right.
One thing about the Man-O-Sphere is that they can operate with a degree of openness currently denied to the Dissident Right (though there is some repression, see the proclamations of the Brandon regime re Incels). There are MRA chapters on some college campuses and MRA street protests have been conducted without blowback. And, obviously, if men decide to go their own way there is just about no way they can be forced back into line.
It may be feasible for the Dissident Right and the Man-O-Sphere to form a coalition. Both movements network disparate groups around common goals, and being networks they are difficult for the regime to destroy.
As usual in this sort of thing, the critical factor is in defining the enemy. The Man-O-Sphere and the Dissident Right are up against common foes: state-corporate discrimination (against both men and White people), PC university establishments, hostile elites, criminalization of speech.
A lesson might be learned from the Left’s Coalition of the Fringes: radical feminists, militant Muslims, street fighting minorities and cultural marxists (who might otherwise be at each other’s throats) all march together to “smash White Supremacy, Patriarchy, and etc.” Their payoff is in taking control of academia, the media, the boardrooms and increasingly the state apparatus.
The downside is that many in the Man-O-Sphere happen to be minorities or true believer egalitarians who can not be easily assimilated into Dissident Right ideology. On the other hand…
…a coalition between the two movements could work around fighting for common objectives. For example, demanding that a university sponsor both a Men’s Resource Center and a (pro-) White Studies Department.
Critics claim that the Man-O-Sphere is a “pipeline” to the Dissident Right. And there is some truth in the claim. The Dissident Right needs to exploit this.
I agree. There is a lot of common ground and overlap between the two groups. Another faction is traditional Christians who also believe many of the same things as the manosphere and the dissident right. All three groups want strong families for instance..
Here is an example of a traditional Catholic priest saying a lot of things that could be said here on Counter-Currents: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LNshsw3kG8
I sincerely hope to one day read Mr. Dickson’s autobiography.
Here are three books he mentioned:
The Richest Man in Babylon, by George S. Clason
From Double Eagle to Red Flag, by General P N Krassnoff
The Leopard, by Giuseppe Di Lapedusa
I agree, Mr. Dickson’s autobiography is something I very much look forward to reading.
Thanks for the links to the books, James. It’s really helpful cataloging these gems.
Certainly, Jasper! 😎
