Jim Goad

Phil Eiger Newmann, Victim Hood,

1,544 words

To be young and white in America right now is to walk through life with a black cloud hovering over your head with every word you utter and every step you take.

One major cultural shift over the past generation is that except for a few isolated hills and hollers in Appalachia and the Ozarks, there is effectively no such thing as “poor white culture” anymore. Although low-income whites have been forced to coexist alongside blacks for centuries now, in the past they at least retained semblances of their own unique culture.

Whereas the perennially maligned “rednecks” and “white trash” used to comprise an identifiable subculture with music, slang, and aesthetics that clearly delineated them from black Americans, the past generation has made it clear that whiteness is cancer and to identify with it in any way is to invite an immediate pummeling and eternal social ostracism.

Therefore, all the white kids who would have been cultural “rednecks” not so long ago are almost entirely wiggers now. Black culture is the culture of the American poor, regardless of race. If you’re young, white, and live in a trailer park, you’re going to talk like a Negro.

Then again, it’s not as if it’s acceptable to be rich and culturally white, either. No matter your economic status, you will eventually face consequences for “acting white.”

But you will also face consequences for “acting black.” The game has been rigged so that white people can’t win no matter how they act or how pure their intentions may be.

Since some point in the mid-1980s, I’ve watched with bemusement as whites were scolded for shunning black culture. Then, when they eagerly embraced American black culture’s endlessly inane mannerisms and argot, they were chastised for “stealing” it.

Two stories that emerged at the tail end of 2020 illustrate that in 2021, there will be no safe space for wiggers. One story involves a poor white male; the other regards an affluent white female. And they’ve both had their lives destroyed not for acting like KKK members, but for acting black — one because he apparently grew up in the ghetto, the other because she listened to a lot of rap.

In Ohio — one of the nation’s persistently bleakest states — a video of a burly black man smashing a skinny young white male’s face with a can of Twisted Tea before pounding him into the floor went viral last week. A smartphone video filmed by a white woman at a Circle K store in Elyria, OH, begins in media res with an agitated young white male standing at the counter and peppering every third word out of his mouth with a gratuitous “nigga.” The young white male is either intoxicated or mentally impaired — possibly both.

The black man who committed felony assault live and on camera is named Barry Allen. He is not hiding from police — he actually bragged of the assault, and his wife was so proud of him beating the stuffing out of that N-bomb-tossing young white male that she started a Twitter profile calling herself “MrsTeaKO,” where she is currently basking in praise for her husband’s decision to administer racial street justice through violence.

Barry Allen recounted the altercation to a reporter:

As soon as I walk in, he’s standing with his friends, I was assuming, and calling the employees, two black guys, niggers. I’m like, all right. Let’s just hope he leaves by the time I get up there. . . . So, I ignored it. . . . [When I got to the counter], he’s still there, still saying the word like he was just a normal black guy having fun with all his buddies, just chilling. And you could tell by their faces they wasn’t really feeling it, but they can’t say nothing ’cause that’ll put their job on the line. . . . Me, I didn’t feel that way. I’m like, “C’mon bro, stop saying the word. Why you shouting out ‘nigger,’ bro?”

The still-unidentified young white male responded that he lives only two blocks from the store, implying that since he resides in the ghetto and essentially lives a black existence, he’s entitled to use the word. He told Allen, “You ain’t my mama. My mama let me say the word.”

At that point, Allen said, “Fuck your mama.” He also referred to the white male as a “nigga.”

After Allen threateningly brandishes a can of Twisted Tea, the white male invites him to smash him in the face with it, liberally tossing nonstop “niggas” at him. Allen loses hold of the can, and it falls to the ground. When the white male attempts to kick it, Allen grabs it again and smashes the white boy square in the jaw with it, knocking him down. The white male bounces back up, puts up his dukes, and Allen quickly wrestles him to the ground before repeatedly punching him in the face and forcing him to cry uncle.

To me, the most appalling part of the video is hearing the woman who’s filming the altercation — she sounds white — taunting the white male with “Yeah, you got yours, buddy” while he’s being beaten and then congratulating Allen by saying, “I don’t blame you, dude” after the beating is finished. She posted the video within seconds. Allen — who, like the wigger he beat up, claims to live only two blocks from the store — said that within the minute or two it took him to drive home, his wife had already seen the video online.

Ohio police say they have identified both men in the video but have yet to bring charges. As you might imagine, social media is treating Allen as a heroic justice warrior in the time-honored vein of W.E.B. Du Bois, Marcus Garvey, Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and George Floyd.

The other story from last week that shows it’s fatal to be a wigger in modern America comes from Leesburg, VA. Back in 2016, a white girl in her mid-teens named Mindi Groves made a three-second video on Snapchat announcing that she’d gotten her driver’s license — “I can drive, niggers” is all she said.

Trying to muster all the objectivity I can manage, I sense that she was not insulting black people — instead, she was trying to sound black because she’s grown up in an environment where black people are worshiped and can do no wrong. When her life fell apart recently due to this five-year-old video being reposted online, she said she used the word because she listens to hip-hop and it’s used in every song. She sincerely didn’t seem to see why it became such a big deal.

Groves’s dream was to be a cheerleader. Her dream nearly came true when she was accepted at the University of Tennessee, which is said to have the nation’s top-rated cheerleading squad.

But her dreams were smashed to pieces this summer by Jimmy Galligan, a light-skinned, freckle-faced mulatto with a penchant for cross-dressing.

Galligan, who was a high-school classmate with Mimi Groves, told the New York Times that he only became aware of the video last year but sat on it and waited until he could unleash it to inflict maximum damage on her.

This came over the summer, when Groves urged her followers on Instagram to “protest, donate, sign a petition, rally, do something” to support Black Lives Matter during the George Floyd riots.

Shortly thereafter, someone that Groves claims she didn’t know wrote, “You have the audacity to post this, after saying the N-word.”

The inevitable social-media torch mobs swooped down on Groves, and the University of Tennessee informed her that she could either voluntarily withdraw from the school or they would rescind their offer of admission. She chose the former and is now attending community college, whereas Galligan — who has a white father that he routinely scolds for “white privilege” — is attending college in sunny California.

As if he consciously intended to put the finishing touches on the Wigger Holocaust right at the end of the Worst Year Ever, Vanilla Ice — the world’s most famous and successful wigger — entertained a crowd of mostly geriatric males and young coked-up women with fake tits on New Year’s Eve at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. Although Trump was said to have skipped the event entirely, Donald Trump, Jr. is shown in the crowd eagerly singing along to not only “Ice Ice Baby,” but also Mr. Ice’s cover of Wild Cherry’s proto-wiggery 1976 disco anthem “Play That Funky Music,” whose refrain is a thunderous “Play that funky music, white boy.”

While that moment, more than any other I’ve ever witnessed, may represent the End of Whiteness, one may be forgiven for hoping against hope that it only marks the nadir rather than the death knell. I encourage you all to hug your George Floyd anti-stress dolls and wish for a more propitious 2021.

I know that I am extremely lucky to have landed, accidently, in a half-Asian and 40% Hispanic suburb, with a few stray Whites squeezed in here and there, in L.A. County. A friend owns this house that her Japanese husband gave her in a divorce settlement, and I am renting it. I never planned to live in the suburbs, but here I am, and here, I almost never see ‘the others’ from South Central L.A. I think this is the only way we can escape the plague from the ghettos. However, I am far from my few friends, and the museums, concert halls, and libraries — and thrift shops — that I love. But they are all closed anyway, so I can limp along socially and intellectually until the Chinese Bat Flu leaves the premises.

As I get older, I am more and more convinced that only money is going to give us the freedom from the race-mixing that is being shoved down our throats in this country. You are right to observe that Whites have bent over backwards since, probably, around the 70’s, to get along with Blacks by accepting and aping their music, their speech and aspects of their culture. However that has now disappeared — though we are still trying desperately to ‘fit in’, it’s a losing battle. I found that out by reading “White Fragility”, in which the author lists all sorts of ways that we can be ‘micro-aggressive’, and then lists and lists and lists all the things we must do to change our entire culture and ‘life-outlook’, so that we are no longer micro-aggressive. Good grief, we would have to change our entire DNA in order to comply with her ‘lists’! So, screw that! Just work, save like crazy, get a bundle of bucks, and move the hell out of Dodge! If enough of us do that, and keep in touch with one another, we will soon begin to ‘meet up’ and then move to the best places that we or others of our stripe have located. The sooner, the better.

Great post, BTW. We need to send a copy to Robin D’Angelis — author of ‘White Fragility’. It’s a fist in her face, on paper — no violence.

That poor white people adopting black culture on a large scale thing is from the millennium. That’s when the internet became capable of transmitting songs and videos. Remove wi-fi and it’s gone.

Black culture spreads because young blacks livestream their bms, taking out the garbage, watching paint dry.

I’ll never say that saying a word means you deserve to have you ass beat, but when you put yourself in that situation there are consequences. He’s pretty lucky that guy didn’t seem to really want to hurt him because just about any other black guy would’ve stomped his head in.

The black guy, as you’re aware, is lying; no one felt threatened. He knew he could get away with assaulting a white man in Diversified USA and he took the opportunity.

The White kid was a dumbass only for hanging around blacks and adopting their dysfunctional pretense of a culture (posturing, eating, fighting and screwing). He did so because poorer Whites have been abandoned by affluent White people – told they’re worthless and need to die. That kid needs to be mentored and backed by a solid White community, not attacked for saying one of the words only Whites are forbidden to say. I routinely and deliberately use the words Oriental, and niggardly, and BC/AD, and other ‘offensive’ terms . . . because I’m White and educated and I refuse to allow ignorant alien parasites to dictate my language. Anyone who backs a black in any sort of racial conflict is not pro-White in my book.

This is (((cultural Marxism))) in action. Since nonWhites are incapable of being raised to the level of Whites, (((Leftists))) long ago hit upon the solution in which, in the inevitable Leftist tyranny, EVERYONE will be lowered to an extremely low common denominator in the name of the social pathology of egalitarianism. In the case of White countries which are infested with large nonWhite minorities, the lowest common denominator is very low indeed. But (((they))) need an oppressor class in order to have a problem that can only be solved by unrelieved tyranny. So Whites are made to repeat lies and behave in ways that are obviously demeaning, and the next step is to convince Whites that humiliating themselves this way allows them to enter the same state of morally-superior victimhood as their (((enemies))). But no. Whites will always be the designated oppressors while still being forced to worship their enemies. We’ve about reached the end of this tragedy however. The new paradigm will be very swift and very effective once it starts in earnest.

I didn’t know it then, but I was red-pilled in the early 90s when ghetto rap became increasingly present on White stereos and in public spaces. I was still in elementary school and unsettled when I heard friends and classmates mimicking and celebrating ghettospeak. Even as a young boy I saw life in terms of aspiration and honor, and embracing rap felt like surrender and betrayal. In fact, I knew then as I know now that the intrusion of hip hop into my mostly-white suburb would be the major cultural (and spiritual) default line of my life: you were either wigger or you were comfortable as a white person. There are no healthy or attractive societies that speak European-Ebonics, even if they are filled with Tom Hanks’ son and Michael Rapaport.

So, the money shot: I recently went back to that suburb during our Summer of George, and let me tell you all a terrible truth: the place had devolved from a middle class white enclave to a mixed, low-income wasteland with crime spikes and conspicuously heard beats from car windows. All in the span of just 30 years. This is what happens when your culture embraces rap, and now I never again want to visit the place I once called home.

This isn’t new. Terms like “man” and “cool” were from blacks in the 60’s. In fact, there would be no rock music without the blacks contribution of jazz and blues. The difference is now the whites are emulating the uneducated, lazy, stupid, and criminal behavior and rap is not music. We have reached the lowest common denominator and America is quickly on it’s way to be a third world cesspool.

Randy: I’m so tired of reading this BS online that Whites ‘owe’ blacks for their musical contributions. The only ‘music’ blacks can call their own is jungle drumming. Jazz and blues have their roots in Scotts-Irish ballads, just as black foot stomping (‘stepping’ – ridiculously attributed to military drills, by Wikipedia) is a copy of flat-foot dancing which was an outgrowth of Scotts and Irish dancing. The tunes, the laments, the instruments, hell the tonal scale that blacks used all came from Whites. Blacks have invented NOTHING and we owe them NOTHING.

Yeah if more people heard indigenous “music” from africa or the americas, they would understand how little those groups contributed. Vibrating strings dont build pleasing chords by themselves. Math geniuses constructed the scales in europe, along with the repetitive time signatures and written sheet music to decipher it. Indigenous american and african singing and instruments sound like dying cats. Once these groups interbred with white colonizers and received the IQ increase, they could then be taught to learn scales. Even if you give black americans credit for rock or blues, theyre simple 4 chord songs compared to classical music.

Négritude as a cynosure goes back beyond Satre’s Orpheé Noir to the thirties, but not everyone is seduced. To me the undeniable black talent for musicality in performance is a great puzzle, for I find their material unbearably hideous. I greatly dislike the blues tonality, find the insistent African rhythms oppressive and American Songbook material tawdry and maudlin. I cannot explain any of this: but (as with, paradoxically, many educated East Asians that I have met) I instinctively prefer Western classical music. Perhaps I am simply a snob.

As to cool has there ever been a more conformist nonsense? What is admirable about sulking and sucking one’s teeth? Reserve, courtesy and the courage of one’s convictions are worth more than any vapid ‘jive talk’ flippancy. It’s time to ditch the facile rebelliousness of Black ‘cool’, quit aping the quasi-illiteracy of ‘ebonics’ and return to the gentlemanly standards of speech, attire and conduct proper to Europe and North America.

Thank you for saving me keystrokes.

        > The tunes, the laments, the instruments, hell the tonal scale that blacks used all came from Whites.

I know of no lamentation poetry in sub-Saharan Africa. Yes, the females will wail like rutting moose at say a funeral, and everyone will pile on to any exciting event and copy the emotional displays around them, competing to intensify the excitement.

(Saw offshoots of that funerary display in Delaware County, PA, many times in the 1970s and 1980s. This particular form of minstrelsy was–for what it’s worth–the foundational matrix of “civil” “rights.” Everyone piling on a famous funeral and trying to out-wail the next wailer. Our Constitution displaced by a parallel system of law cobbled by barristers, merchants, and politicians atop the coached caterwauling of professional mourners.)

But “the blues”–as a reflection upon and recounting of one’s emotional states and reactions to painful lived personal experience–depends on a sort of self-awareness and understanding of psychology/reactions that simply doesn’t exist on the Dark Continent.

It also requires memory of the lived past and reflection on the possible future. Two more things that lie completely outside that biological/cultural pool.

Saying Elyria is rough is like saying Lake Erie is wet, an understatement, though it’s rough in a weathered trashy way than a rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ kind of way. It’s kind of an interesting place in the sense that it’s a mix of rural and urban compared to cities like Cleveland. Up until relatively recently it’s always been associated with trashy Whites, generic rednecks and real neo nazis / klan but it’s like I blinked, a decade went by, and now it’s filled to the brim with project buildings and negroes. Obama’s HUD has been converting all sorts of apartments and elderly homes into section 8 housing which has been blacking lots of formerly white areas, it’s destroyed a lot of cities in Northern Ohio. Cleveland, despite having way more violent crime, is somehow classier and more pleasant to me than Elyria. An ever present threat of violence and nagging negroes is somehow less irritating to me than seeing unironic wiggers and coalburners all over the place. Also, there’s definitely still poor white non wigger culture that has been preserved outside of Appalachia but demographics and fentanyl will see them all but extinct before this century is over, sadly.

I was stationed in North Carolina in the 1990s as an 18 year old private. Being from urban Florida, I was used to wiggers. In my day, (high school class of 93), around 15%of whites were pure wigger I did not expect to encounter many wiggers in Notth Carolina. On my first foray in NC, when I encountered some, my friends and me (all new privates) had a big time mocking them, “I do declare that’s plum downright DOPE!” and other stuff we howled, rolling with laughter at how ridiculous and pathetic they were.. We thought we had witnessed something bizarre and extraordinary, but soon came to realize that over 50% of the whites in the sticks were absolute wiggers.
White culture was destroyed by the fact that adolescents are sensitive to ridicule.

Incidentally, there’s nothing specifically “Nothwestern” about the so-called grunge look of long hair, flannel work shirts over thermal Ts, wornout jeans, and big boots. It’s just generic late-70s/early 80s West Coast stoner wear (see Judd Nelson in The Breakfast Club). Every other guy at my northern California high school dressed like that. The only difference is that the Northwest then being about ten years behind the rest of the West Coast in style, they were still dressing that way when Nirvana & Co. took off.

“Since some point in the mid-1980s, I’ve watched with bemusement as whites were scolded for shunning black culture. Then, when they eagerly embraced American black culture’s endlessly inane mannerisms and argot, they were chastised for ‘stealing’ it.”

Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t. I realized the same thing sometime in the 1990s, and I regarded it as a form of abuse dished out by liberal blowhards from the predictable precincts of media, entertainment, etc. (In the 1990s, the concept of ‘gaslighting’ wasn’t as widely understood or used as it is now.) I realized that my buttons were being pushed, and I deeply resented being treated like that. I began to realize that black culture and blacks in general were being used as a battering ram against whites by the powerful in our society. That’s when my resentment turned into alienation and animosity toward all forms of liberal social manipulation and influence. Many blacks are not completely innocent in their role as battering rams. They know the power elite are on their side and many of them enjoy shaming, mocking, and debasing whites. What consequences do they have to suffer by doing any of this? All American institutions are on their side.

In the mid-to-late 1990s, I was reading dissident opinion on race (e.g., Carleton Putnam, Jared Taylor, Kevin MacDonald, etc.) and just decided to “shun” black culture as a rejection of the abuse and gaslighting it inflicted. It was not a difficult decision. I dislike rap and hip hop, as well as the majority of black comedians, actors, and athletes. Someone a few years ago asked me if I saw the latest Spike Lee movie. I told them that I would never waste my money on such garbage. I took a stand against going along with my own debasement. Establishment media and black culture hate me, and I reject them both in turn.

Thank you, Deodato. I remember Jared Taylor once pointed out that he couldn’t believe George W. Bush’s self-confessed “worst” moment in office was being accused of racism by Kanye West. To paraphrase Taylor, “Iraq wasn’t the low point of your tenure but being scolded by a two-bit Negro entertainer was?” There was something so refreshing in Taylor’s diction that I’ve since tried to be more candid in my opinions.

When AmRen speaker Nick Fuentes says he loves rap and knows all the music and lyrics of Kanye West, my brain explodes. I know there’s no accounting for taste, but I can’t square Fuentes’ sensible politics and love of heritage with his preferences for urban chanting.

Interesting how we start with no poor white culture and end with Donald Trump Jr. embracing wiggery. Underscores that the Trumps are parvenus, upjumped nouveau riche, or as the Spanish would put it, pobres con dinero (poor people with money).

One of my older half-brothers began talking like a Negro in the late 1960’s due to hanging around black kids when the schools were integrated. Our mother couldn’t stand it. After the umteenth time of him saying “axed” instead of “asked”, she arranged for him to go live with his father and step-mother in the suburbs in an all white school. He then started hanging out with surfers and stopped the Negro speak.

If you don’t want your kids to be wiggers, make sure they don’t hang out around blacks.

It saddens me deeply to see the White man dying out. Had a big argument with an African co-worker, (no i don’t call them African American nor black. they are simply Africans). He said there would never be a race war because whites will not fight and there are too many whites on the side of blacks. He told me there are active KKK members burning crosses in Georgia. This was just last year. Your can’t reason with that.

Jim, I am your age and now have young grandchildren. How much farther can we run from the blacks? My grandchildren are homeschooled, but I still fear the pernicious culture cannot be avoided for long. Have any tips on surviving?

Just curious if there are any whites who speak ebonics as their first language–that is, it rolls off their tongue so fluently and naturally. I don’t think I’ve ever heard one. I’m not talking about accents or slang. I mean bedrock stuff, like dropping verbs (for example, “he good,” instead of “he’s good”). I don’t know, that seems so foreign that to this day I would be very surprised to hear any white, no matter how young or black exposed, naturally speak that way. I know my whole being would rebel against that usage and it would come out of my mouth sounding very forced.

A member of my platoon in the Army, white guy from Florida, spoke with a dialect and diction which was I can only describe as almost wholly black with a slight drawl. He wasn’t a stereotype ‘wigger’ speaking for affect, he simply spoke the in the black Florida dialect from where he’d been raised, no fronting. I’ve also met blacks who speak with a genuine southern white drawl, no fronting. It’s a muddy reality whether any of us, and by “us” I mean anyone who finds this site of value, like it or not. Personally, I prefer my rural Midwestern working class version of English over urban shuck and jive, simply saying. I still find the binary “All whites this…”, “All blacks that…” arguments more than a tad unrealistic. I get that we’re at a point where racial identity has been shoved down the collective White throat in a most egregious and disingenuous manner by a Semitic cultural “other” and that lines are being drawn whether I like it or not. So personally, I find that cultural “Mud Machine” a bigger threat to a positive White reality than the constituents of the mud itself. It’s a sickening shit pickle folks, but reducing any of this to a completely binary “all blacks vs. all whites (vs. all the rest of the nasty ol’ rainbow)” seems short sighted and unrealistic. I suppose that I make a better bumpkin Hoosier than dyed in the wool academic White Nationalist. Regardless, I find that this site cuts to the heart of things as honestly as possible. Much thanks.

So Ohio is “one of the most bleakest states,” mr. goad? I’m now surveying the results of the
Georgia senate runoffs. We better hope there are more bleak, flyover states like Ohio, populated by us deplorables, where the leftists won’t go. It’s about the only chance we’ve got left.

Calm down, Sparky. I was talking about the boring terrain and awful weather. I’ve been to all 50 states, and Ohio is a place nearly every American tries to drive through as quickly as possible.

I wasn’t talking about its people, but suddenly I have the impression that they’re touchy and humorless.

I disagree with your premise that whites are punished for emulating a black vernacular. Consider the popularity of AAVE terms like “yo” “lit” “fiyah” “turnt” and “flexx” among white American youth. Code-switching is accepted, even encouraged, for white kids. It’s only when they start dropping n-bombs that fists start flying.

I also think it’s unfair to refer to the white kids mentioned in your article as “wiggers.” To me, a wigger is someone who consciously affects blackness in order to be accepted. Whereas there’s a second group (neo-whites? Post-caucasians?) who talk black simply because that’s the only way they know how, usually because of economic and geographical circumstances.

(On some level the desire for acceptance is at work among these types also, but it’s
not the same as some middle class white kid jiving it up “for the clout” as they say.)

This raises an interesting question: why is it so acceptable for whites to “talk black” but not to wear doo rags and daishikis when both are forms of appropriation? For that matter, why are whites so welcome in the rap world, where code-switching is an occupational necessity? There are probably a few reasons, but my main theory is that whites-talking-black is given a green light because it heralds the dissolution of whiteness.

The more white people yield to social pressure by internalizing blackness, the less likely they are to try and solidify any kind of racial identity for themselves. Simply put, whites cuck themselves by adopting the vernacular of black people, and black people are fine with that because it works to their advantage. A white woman “yassss queen”-ing or a white boy referring to his outfit as “drip” is a profoundly submissive gesture; the way people express themselves is a reflection of their very souls, and a submissive vernacular indicates a submissive soul.

What’s the solution to white deracination, to the cultural bankruptcy of modern whites? I have no idea. But for my part, I go out of my way to avoid code-switching, even if it makes me seem stuffy and uncool to people with whom I might otherwise get along.
