You know I appreciate the fact Mr. Fromm’s focus is on freedom of expression, but it is not just about the laws. Quite frankly I don’t want that nut case from Florida peddling his bullshit up here, so I am quite glad he was stopped. I think all nutters from the states should summit to a free colonoscopy upon arrival. They stopped that other nutter Phepps too. Oh, but they did let in Ann Coulter. Go figure.
We have not had freedom of speech in this country at least since WW2. Just ask those United Empire Loyalists in Ontario if Hitler was really evil. They will have you committed. Guilt tripping and altruistic punishment is the Canadian way. You know that line ‘step on a crack break your mother’s back’? We believe that up here and don’t colour outside the lines.

I appreciate Mr. Fromm’s efforts on behalf of Counter-Currents. The “Funny side of me” is an illustration of his irrepressible sense of humor. I met him 5 years ago and I found him very approachable and quite friendly. He really does have a sense of humor about it all. He doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously (a sign of humility) however he’s very serious and sincere about what he is fighting for / against. He keeps plugging away and trudging along despite all the petty attacks and inconveniences. “Perseverence” is a principle which comes to mind or the classic story about the tortoise and the hare. He did tell me that the most frequent inconvenience for him is traveling outside of Canada..not too many problems flying out, but coming back in is a hassle few of us would want. They usually detain him for a period (about 3 hours on average) and always “appropriate” something from his luggage, whether it be literature or items of a personal nature simply for being who he is (he’s on one of those “security risk lists”) Many times, his luggage is simply “lost” – clothes and all.
Correction : it’s called “The Fighting Side of me” (I think) …I didn’t quite catch the title of his broadcast due to his slight accent. (Sorry Paul)
