When I think of my favorite cities in the United States, Washington, DC is not high on the list. I’ve had to go there, for various reasons, several times over the years, but, except for the time I came as a tourist, it’s never been a place I would imagine spending any more time in than absolutely necessary.

September 29th: My friend Anastasia (not her real name) hits town. She’s staying with some friends in Brooklyn and invites me to meet her at the Participant Gallery, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Anastasia’s old friend Clytemnestra (not her real name) is going to perform what is described to me as a “cat dance.” I arrive on time to find the place quickly filling up with the most appalling collection of artsy-fartsy New York hipsters and self-conscious “individualists” that I have yet seen. The Counter-Currents 2013 Summer Fundraiser
Update & Appeals from Tito Perdue,
Ingrid Rimland, & John MorganSince our last update, we have received seventeen new donations totaling $3,364.99, of which $2,000 will be matched by one of our donors, for a total of $5,364.99. That means that our total so far is $29,324.29. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by October 31, so we are $20,675.71 away from our goal — almost 60% of the way there. Again, I want to thank all of our donors for their generous support.

No American of European descent who sets foot on the sacred soil of Europe can help but feel a powerful connection back to his European heritage, no matter how far in the past it might be, nor can any such person who is not deluded escape the feeling of urgency that grips those who experience first-hand the death spiral in which this continent is currently locked. Such have been my feelings over the past several weeks, after I arrived for the first time on the European continent, specifically in Sweden. (more…)

Introduction
Last month marked the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. It merited little more than a passing mention in the mainstream media, despite the fact of having been the most dramatic and iconic moment in the half-century Cold War, a conflict which had stakes higher than any other in history and which continues to haunt our current political landscape.

Yesterday (Thursday, September 27, 2012) saw the premiere of a heavily-promoted new drama series on ABC, Last Resort. The series is about a fictional American missile-carrying nuclear submarine, the USS Colorado, which disobeys an order to launch its missiles onto Pakistan and then declares itself to be independent of American authority.

On Wednesday, August 29, 2012, the British scholar of esotericism, Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, passed away from cancer at the age of 59. Professor Goodrick-Clarke must have dealt with his illness quite well, as he was at work until only a few hours before his death, according to the testimony of some of his students. (more…)
