As a Christmas present to our loyal readers and commenters, the elves in the Counter-Currents workshop have created a list of our Top 100 Commenters. The list is updated once a day. If you are on the list, a Top 100 badge will appear next to your name when you comment. Today’s list appears below. You can also access the most recent version of the list from the sidebar, where it appears below the Archives, or by clicking any Top 100 badge.
If you have been commenting over the years, chances you are on the list. Many of you will be surprised at your rankings, though. Many of you will learn that you are a much bigger part of Counter-Currents than you had hitherto suspected.
I hope this list inspires more comments through a bit of friendly rivalry. If you are at number 21, why not try to get into the top 20? And if you are behind so-and-so, why not try to get ahead?
Counter-Currents has been around since June 10, 2010. Reading this list is thus a nostalgic experience. It is also full of surprises. For instance, it surprised me that four of our top five commenters are no longer with us. They invested a lot of time in Counter-Currents early on, though, and for that I am grateful. If any of you are still out there, please drop me a line — or type out a comment below.
In fact, if any of you want to start improving your stats, there’s no time like now. Please share your thoughts below.
Counter-Currents has great commenters, and I expect that both the quantity and quality of comments will continue to improve as the number of Paywall “insiders” increases as well. (If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you can sign up there.)
Thank you, commenters, for all you do for Counter-Currents.

“[79] 160 Muhammad Aryan”
“160” must have been the number of comments I have posted to date I presume? .. Or is it some sort of a rating? .. :).
The number posted to date.
Thanks for clarifying.
Glad and excited to find out that I am ranked at No. 56, with 208 comments posted to date. Thanks Greg for presenting such a unique and titillating list of very memorable value. Since now I am a Paywall member with more convenience to access posted essays of lasting significance and to post comments myself, as long as I have free time, I will try to read and comment more actively, and as Greg encouraged, to move one step further and get into the top 50 in this list.
One note to Greg: I used to comment with the name “Riki-Eiki” consistently, but since I am now using this slightly modified name “Riki-Eiki” in my new identity as a Paywall member, please kindly add the number of my prospective comments to the existing number of comments under “Riki-Eiki”, that is, 208. Thank you for your kind effort.
I have 239 comments on CC? I should shut up and just read more.
Correction: 240 comments now.
Celebrating my 151st! Thanks, Greg. 🎄Counter-Currents has added much happiness to my life since I found it.
Testing 1-2-3
That’s cheating.
(So is this!)
A fantastic idea on many levels, especially for building the online community. It makes people feel like they have a stake in CC’s continued existence and success. I am shocked (and weirdly pleased – an effect among commenters Dr. Johnson probably sagely anticipated in inaugurating this new feature) to find myself in the Top 10 of commenters, especially as I only started reading CC around 5 years ago. Not sure why I resisted so long, as I was a near-charter subscriber to AR (and continued until the print version was discontinued). Now, while I still admire Jared Taylor tremendously, as with Vdare, I rarely comment or even visit AR. I think I have “graduated” from it. It serves its “just the facts” purpose very well, but I’m way past that stage. CC is my “go to” place for online intellectualism and discussion (I like TOO, too, but rarely comment there).
But Hamilton’s point is valid. After my initial shock, I instantly wondered, what is the criterion used to establish one’s rank? Is it number of comments, or total words submitted? There is a big difference between dashing off lots of one sentence comments and deeply engaging with the texts in question, penning thoughtful and lengthy missives, which is probably what the editor is really after.
The ranking is based on the simple number of comments.
Lord Shang, Greg’s idea to create this list is brilliant, and I can see positive results already. This has also encouraged me to reach out to those who have consistently left good comments to my own articles over at The Occidental Observer. While I did post (and greatly enjoy) the Rocky Horror exchange here at C-C, most of my work is at TOO, so I invite you and others to augment your reading here at C-C with our fare at TOO. (Personally, I like to think of these two as related sites.)
Perhaps we can come up with a way to include more conversational feedback among both writers and commenters, maybe even on both sites. For example, I’ve left my own comments for Pierre de Craon and Franklin Ryckhaert at TOO today.
I certainly don’t want to diminish the contributions of our many other faithful commenters, but I also feel the three of you deserve praise for the consistently high quality of your own writing. You should share more!
All the best — and a Merry Christmas.
Dr. Connelly:
I’m flattered that an eminent Writer on the Right has noticed my comments. I’m familiar with your work (and others) at TOO, though I rarely comment there. I do recall that very good article from some months back in which you contrasted spiritual vs material explanations of the predicament of whites, using E. Michael Jones and K. MacDonald as representatives of the two poles.
TOO is well done, but I find it a bit too JQ-centric (writers there seem to spend a lot of time discussing Jews …. lol!). Seriously, I’m one of the more paleoconservative white preservationists and nationalists. I look at the same macro-issue (preventing white dispossession, enslavement and extinction) through the other end of the analytical telescope. That is, I’m less interested in the ways of our dispossessors than in what it is about whites that makes them so vulnerable to being morally weaponized against themselves and their own legitimate interests, as well as in what we can do pragmatically to reverse our negative trajectory. I think the path to white survival runs not through the Jews, but through ourselves.
Accordingly, in contradistinction to the JQ, I am increasingly fascinated by the CQ – the Christian Question. Although I’m agnostic, I was raised in a Christian home, and I would very much like to become a Christian believer once again. Even if I were one day to experience some kind of reconversion, however, I would never embrace the Church’s racial leftism, which I hold is less derivable from (the logic of) true doctrine, than one part an expression of the modal or collective psychology of the majority of contemporary churchmen, and the other part, a series of cowardly institutional accommodations with the left-liberal zeitgeist. What particularly interests me is the extent to which Christianity necessitates an egalitarian universalist morality (by which I mean, a morality which does not admit of a range of greater or lesser moral obligations based on unchosen or ethically neutral affiliative categories, eg, family, race, nationality, class, neighbor, co-worker, etc). Also, whether modern race-denialism as well “ethical” wokeism (because wokeism most certainly does make ethical claims, albeit ones based upon empirical falsehoods) can even be justified by Christian moral theology (I hold they cannot be, though I’m no theological expert, and have a lot more research to do).
I’m also very interested in the theoretical relationship between (ethno)nationalism and traditionalist conservatism; indeed, why there cannot be a synthesis of both. I think there can be. I’m actually taking notes towards writing a future, probably extended, article on this topic (which I would submit to CC for publication if worthy), though my progress in reading (or rereading in some cases) many of the classic (and necessary contemporary) works in both traditions is, in light of my fulltime job, manageable health problems, and the constant attentions and aid required by my widowed, nonagenarian mother with no other family, very slow. In a half dozen years, I’ll almost certainly be retired, and my mother dead, and thus I’ll have a lot more free time, at which point I hope to become a bit of a writer on the Right myself, with my focus on the intersection of white preservationism, Christian moral theology, and traditional conservatism.
Thank you for your encouragement.
What a creative idea. I would not have thought of this, inveterate peruser of comments though I am. In fact, I got my start writing racialist material in the comments section of a now defunct website more than 20 years ago.
Some of the names on the list bring back memories.
I always assumed that White Republican and Proofreader were the same individual, one under his (voluntary) proofreader guise, the other under his commenter persona. But perhaps not.
I admit to missing Lew, though I wouldn’t have guessed he ranked so high on the participation list, even without the long absence.
I also appreciate the recent changes in the right sidebar, which has made the site much easier for me to use, especially when it comes to comments, but outside of that as well.
I saw a commenter of more recent vintage say that he didn’t like it, it was more confusing. I understand and sympathize with his position. Every major change in a website, browser, operating system, or what have you tends to be a pain in the neck. But this is the exception to the rule.
I miss Lew too! Apparently he lived not far from where I do in Louisiana. I imagined him like Rick from Rick and morty show. I wish you would write articles again as well.
Yes, White Republican and Proofreader were the same guy. Sad to say, I believe that he has died.
Good to see I’m on the list twice.
We will get that fixed, so your combined status will rise.
This is just Dr Johnson asserting his comment supremacy on all of us.
And rightfully so.
What about those who change their pseudonym every year or so?
You’ll be lost in the shuffle, I am afraid.
Dear Greg:
I am awfully sorry that due to my inadequate carefulness, I mistakenly typed my name used to comment on CC as “Riki-Eiki”, missing the “i” after “Rik”, which has thus shown up in the comment ranking list. The correct one should be “Riki-Eiki”. Please kindly change my name in the list accordingly and update my number of comments onward. Thank you very much for your extra effort.
In addition, I have one small suggestion and one small question. First the suggestion, if possible, could you please add a small new function to us comment posters, especially the Paywall subscribing members like me, that is we are allowed to make moderation or modifications to our own comments after clicking “Post Comment”, which would help solve errors such as wrong spellings or grammar caused by occasional carelessness, so that confusions can be avoided or eliminated in time and no regrets left. If it’s not too technically hard or time-consuming, please kindly consider to add this small yet satisfying function to us comment posters; if it would entail too much effort or technically difficult on your part, you have full right to ignore this suggestion of mine and just let it be.
Now the small question: What do the newly appeared green and red button besides our names saying “INSIDER” and “TOP 100” mean respectively? I noticed that while the red button “TOP 100” can be clicked, the green button “INSIDER” cannot. Also, I am currently ranked at No.56, but there’s no red button “TOP 100” appearing beside my name. Only the green button “INSIDER” can be seen. I wonder why that is the case. Thank you again for your great effort and valuable assistance.
Riki-Eiki
Man, I miss Lew. Also Trainspotter, who I’m surprised wasn’t on this list. They both disappeared years ago, but in my early days in the Movement (2012-2014) they were both regular fixtures across Pro-White websites, and they had poignant, visionary analysis.
Its interesting to see the types of names on this list. While a few of them would be worthy of Stormfront, many of them are just regular old White sounding names, albeit pseudonymous. That’s a reflection on the high quality of commentary on this site.
Question for Greg: Do readers who get behind the paywall also get access to conferences and events? I remember reading how you hosted one in Seattle two years ago or so, and how it was heavily vetted (for obvious reasons). Was wondering if the paywall process serves as its own form of vetting for those who wish to attend future events.
From 2011 to 2015, I held weekend Counter-Currents Retreats. In 2015 I started doing lunches and day-long Forum Events. The Retreats were of vetted people, most of them known to me personally. People like Jonathan Bowden, Kevin MacDonald, Roger Devlin, and Mark Weber were speakers. The lunches and Forums were different, because they began during the heyday of the Alt-Right, and many people who wanted to come were known to me only under pseudonyms. It worked for a while, but it meant that “extreme vetting” was just a meme. When we had a couple of infiltrators, I handed organizing the Forums over to some friends who instituted a policy of requiring people to pay for actual background checks and presenting picture ID at registration to ensure that people were who they said they were. (They could still use pen names at the events with other attendees.) If we had done that at the start, the events probably would not have been viable, given the “ethos” of the time. But by then, enough people had enjoyed the events and were willing to take the plunge. If/when CC starts doing other events, we will continue using background checks and demanding real ID from registrants. Paywall subscribers will definitely be considered good candidates for invitations, since they are already partly known to us.
Thanks for the information. I hope Counter-Currents hosts events like those lunches and forums again in the future.
yes, we were disappointed that you couldn’t make it to the recent conference in the US. Something about flight restrictions I understand. I myself try to behave well when flying and not fight with the stewardesses. They often reward me with extra in-flight snacks & coffee.
Being a newb I don’t see how Identarian conferences can be totally protected against infiltration. If the Gov’t goes thru the lengths that one sees in James Bond movies or in stealing weapons secrets from Russia, we don’t have the resources to fight it. But I’d support the idea of full ID verification for conference attendees. Granted that some may wish to be anonymous. But those people would have to be of limited use anyway. They can still financially contribute and of course post on blogs.
Gonna have to re-think my “I agree” policy I laid out in my comment on Kathryn’s fundraising piece from October.
The CC comment section alone offers more stimulation for the inquisitive mind than any classroom for the youth caught in the contortions of these overpriced debt-building credentialing agencies. You enroll your clueless kid, “education” happens, and exit degreed and smarter than 4 years earlier. Nothing can be further from the truth. Mr. Bowden was my foray into Counter-currents; I still listen to his wonderful speeches that’ve avoided the youtube purges. His starring role in “Venus Fly Trap” confirms my suspicion of the devil being a high society Englishman. Maybe one day a bio on Jonathan and his personal path to intellectual titan making Right-wing cool again.
This is a good idea and comments are very important as I think it gets outsider-people more involved in the organization which is important for white identitarian causes.
One other step I’d very much like to see implemented is some sort of feedback loop for comments. This would notify the poster of a response or a request for reply could be directed towards someone.
For example on your Dec 10th radio blog by Karl Thorburn {“Saturday, December 11th, Counter-Currents Radio host Greg Johnson welcomes Karl Thorburn to talk about Bitcoin, current events…”}, which I missed, I posted a question on whether any transcripts or files would be available as I’m not able to tune in at to hear at the appointed time. Karl speaks about Bitcoins and I was curious to hear his analysis before investing blindly in BTC as they’re currently $46K apiece.
I didn’t get any response and in fact, cannot ever get any response to issues on C-C. While I understand this may take some thought to implement it might be useful as we could have conversations and answers rather than just posting literally anything.
‘Counter-Currents Radio host Greg Johnson welcomes Karl Thorburn to talk about Bitcoin’.
I think this one is under the Podcasts tab already. They usually are uploaded the following week.
If you go to https://dlive.tv/Counter-Currents under ‘replays’, you can also listen to the latest talk. For example, sometimes I miss one on a Saturday, but just click on the replay tab on Sundays to catch up. Hope that helps some.
Thanks. I’ve clicked the related links listed perhaps 6 times over the course of 2 weeks. Every single time it informs me that Counter-Currents is “offline”.
Thus the various platforms which may be hosting the transcripts are not useful.

Do either of these links work ? … On the dlive site, you need to scroll down under the picture of lemons, ice-creams etc to find the ‘Replays’ link.
Thanks ever so much. Both links work. I haven’t listened to the full audio but the 1st is the podcast on BTC (Bitcoins) which I was looking for. I talked w/ Karl {in person} abt BTC recently but need more info.
Am I on this list? I have no idea. But if I am, it’s ‘Theodora’ with an ‘a’. Thanks.
