I’m going to be blunt: fundraising has not been great this year. Our goal is $300,000, but our total so far is $21,138.80, and that includes a $10,000 matching grant from a single generous donor. This is despite the massive strides the racial Right is making amidst nonstop political drama. Despite, or because?
With Dark Brandon defeated and the mainstream adopting our policies and talking points, I fear that some of our people are slipping back into their conservative mindset of complacency and comfort. But now is no time for complacency because the mainstream going radical presents both an opportunity to push even further and a grave danger of our ideas being hijacked.
In response to the Los Angeles riots, Charlie Kirk and Matt Walsh have called for ending all third-world immigration.[1] Marjorie Taylor Greene is asking why Congress gives anti-Semitic hate crimes special treatment when anti-white ones are not.[2] Stephen Miller is spitting fire. Kirk has even endorsed Steve Sailor who is a race realist.[3] So do we hang a “Mission Accomplished” banner like Bush the Dumber and go home, content to, grill, “like” based posts on social media, and emerge from our cocoons to dutifully vote Republican every two years?
Absolutely not. Like the Left, we should push for even greater demands! Jim Goad lampooned the Left’s strategy of always demanding more as “Despite All the Progress We’ve Made, There Is Still, for Some Strange Reason, a Ridiculous Amount of Work to Be Done.” But for us, there really is a lot of work to be done. Why not push for ending birthright citizenship, repealing the Civil Rights Act, suspending habeas corpus, taxing remittances into oblivion, and aggressively prosecuting rioters and NGOs? Or even better, finally giving credit to where it is due?
In sports, you don’t let up because you think you won. Not only is it unsportsmanlike, its also a great way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And there’s a lot more at stake in politics than in sportsball.
Why have these mainstream figures become so based? Some of them may have known all along but didn’t feel safe revealing their power level. Perhaps they became radicalized by reality. But I suspect that at least some of them didn’t want to become outflanked from us on the Right.
What this means is that we are the pressure that pressures the pressure group, whether their donor class likes it or not. There is a racist group chat to White House policy pipeline. But it needs money to be maximally effective. We don’t need USAID levels of largess because we are efficient and ideologically committed. But conferences and webzines don’t pay for themselves. And if we want to expand into lawfare, lobbying, art and culture, and alternative institutions, we should remember that those things definitely don’t pay for themselves.
Ultimately, we need a based donor class to counter the mainstream donor class.
Plenty of people would like to hijack White Nationalism or divert its energy. The Chamber of Commerce, race blind civic nationalists, the religious Right, technocrats, Israel, and Putin among several others would all like to either dilute our message or have us carry water for them.
This isn’t paranoid speculation. For decades, the RINOs have dumped money into diverting people away from race and into religion, capitalism, or nebulous values. It was just another business expense to keep their exploitative system of race blind, free market capitalist system going.
Elon Musk is a great example of why we can’t give up the battle of ideas. Last Christmas, Musk went to war with the racial Right over H1B visas, and lost. Just recently, Musk had a nasty falling out with Trump over balancing the budget versus funding mass deportations. Musk is the best of the mainstream, and yet both of these fights erupted because of his flawed libertarian priors. In both incidents, the racial right prevailed because we had better arguments and memes. To keep up the pressure, however, we need to cultivate our own intellectual vanguard and platforms.
Another concern is that if conservative citizens, politicians, and influencers have moved in our direction, does that mean that they can’t move back? We like to say that the libertarian to Alt Right pipeline only flows in one direction and that those who escape the Zionist plantation never go back. But the recent sea change was the result of a titanic, years-long clash between opposing forces of immense magnitude. If our pressure falters while our competitor’s pressure remains in full force, what will happen? I’d rather not find out. It would be foolish to assume that our memes can care for themselves.
Already, Joel Berry has the chutzpah to claim that “Calling for a moratorium on immigration has been a normie conservative position for decades” but without Nietzsche.[4] As if we would forget battling for years against “so long as they replace us legally” and other Conservatism Inc. positions. This isn’t just an attempt to hijack our ideas, it’s a clumsy attempt to rewrite history, and probably for reasons that are a lot more nefarious than simply stealing credit.
None of our previous victories would have been possible without your support. There’s still plenty of work to do, perils to avoid, and opportunities to seize. And with your continued support, I am confident that we will continue to be victorious.
There are many ways to help, but the easiest is with an e-check donation. All you need is your checkbook.

Good points all. I believe it was Mao who said that Victory is the greatest illusion
Politics – and, by extension, metapolitics – changes at almost glacial speed, but that is because we live in a time where everything has to arrive quick as a Starbucks coffee, or your email account. I was pessimistic five years ago about the white future – and if it’s not white, it’s not a future – but now I have this sneaking suspicion that the times may be changing. CC will clearly be a part of that. Great piece.
Great, cash my checks, and you will be up another $100.00. 🙃
Thanks
I was talking about checks I mailed out two weeks ago. 🙃
This is one of the last places where I can still comment freely. I am very grateful for it. It’s important Counter-Currents stays up & running. (I never thought I’d live to see the death of VDARE. ?!)
I’m glad David is so politically optimistic. (I’m not.)
Regarding, “Charlie Kirk and Matt Walsh have called for ending all third-world immigration.” — I would guess that Kirk & Walsh conveniently don’t include India as “3rd world” when it comes to immigration.
I just donated. Hope the fundraiser picks up speed again.
Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Sooo! If the Rinos are dumping “money into diverting people away from race and into religion, capitalism, or nebulous values the question is, Can we front run them?
Not being able to raise $300,000 capitalism is out of the question which leaves religion. And these days religion is a nebulous value which gives us two out of three. Apart from the bus fare to church and a couple of bucks in the plate religion is rather cheap. The only question is which denomination would suit the New Right? The mother church or one of it’s offspring? Fun times ahead.
