Let California Go

On Sunday evening, as the riots in Los Angeles, California were raging, President Donald Trump posted this message on his Truth Social account:

A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals.  Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations — But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve. I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, in coordination with all other relevant Departments and Agencies, to take all such action necessary to liberate Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion, and put an end to these Migrant riots. Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

It is refreshing indeed to see the president use words like” invasion” to describe the influx of illegal aliens that have swarmed across America’s Southern border, and it’s certainly true that Los Angeles has seen more than its fair share of illegals settle within its city boundaries. However, even if the Trump administration somehow succeeds in deporting every last one from the City of Los Angeles, this would not represent a “liberation”, and the city would not be “set free.”

The truth, unpleasant as it may be, is that Los Angeles and the state of California want open borders, not “liberation” from illegal aliens. Current governor Gavin Newsom objects to the mass deportations of illegal aliens. In 2017, Newsom’s predecessor, Jerry Brown, signed into law Senate Bill 54 ,which severely restricted the ability of state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. The law passed both houses of the California state legislature overwhelmingly, and so the Golden State is now considered a “sanctuary state” for illegal aliens. Senate Bill 54 does allow for cooperation with ICE if the illegal alien in question has been convicted of certain crimes, but just last year, the City of Los Angeles passed an ordinance which banned any cooperation between ICE and city law enforcement. City Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez voted in favor of the ordinance and claimed that “one in ten” Los Angeles residents are illegals. If that’s true, then the city is home to almost 400,000 of them, and apparently the residents like it that way.

Perhaps we should not be surprised. According to Gregory Hood of American Renaissance, Los Angeles was almost entirely white at the start of the twentieth century, but the white share of the population fell from 83 percent in 1960, to 61 percent in 1970, to below fifty percent in 1980. The United States census bureau estimates that nearly half of the city is now Hispanic, and that non-Hispanic whites comprise a mere 28.9 percent of residents. Also, at just 33.3 percent non-Hispanic white, the state of California is only slightly whiter than its largest city.

What this means is that California is not going to get behind any program to “Make America Great Again” by enforcing federal immigration laws. Instead, it’s going to continue to give both of its seats in the Senate, most of its seats in the House of Representatives, and all of its votes in the electoral college to the anti-white, open borders Democrat Party. Unfortunately, it is also the most populous state in the Union, making it quite influential in federal politics. White Nationalists should not be too concerned about liberating California from illegal immigrants. We should instead ask how we can liberate ourselves from California, and other states like it.

The good news is that California already has a popular and well-established independence movement. A poll of 500 California voters was taken this January, and 61 percent of respondents believed that “California would be better off if it peacefully seceded.” Right now, there is an ongoing effort, led by Marcus Ruiz Evans of the “Calexit” movement, to get a referendum on independence placed on the ballot for 2028. It needs 546,641 signatures by July 22. According to the movement’s website, they have collected more than 210,000 so far. Calexit might have a long way to go to get the required number of signatures, but the feud between Trump and Governor Newsom could attract some new supporters. Newsom sounded a lot like a secessionist in his recent address to his state:

Democracy is under assault right before our eyes – the moment we’ve feared has arrived. He’s taking a wrecking ball to our founding fathers’ historic project. Three independent, coequal branches of government. There are no longer any checks and balances. Congress is nowhere to be found. Speaker Johnson has completely abdicated that responsibility. The rule of law has increasingly given way to the rule of Don. The founding fathers did not live and die to see this moment. It’s time for all of us to stand up.

If that’s the way he feels, he ought to be leading the charge for independence.

Back in 2016, Greg Johnson wrote an article endorsing Calexit. Each of the reasons he gave is just as valid today as it was nine years ago. First, an independent California would cripple the Democrats chances to win future presidential elections. Second, since California is both America’s largest state and one of its least white states, the white share of the population would increase significantly were it to leave. Third, leftists and non-whites from other states would be attracted to an independent California, and we’d be glad to see them go. Fourth, right-wing whites living in California would be inclined to move, further solidifying our demographics.

Some of you might be alarmed at the prospect of letting California go. It is true that Calexit would be a blow to America’s GDP and military strength. Furthermore, I understand that willingly giving up territory that our white forebears settled could seem like a form of surrender. However, I would suggest that White Nationalists opposed to Calexit might be conflating the state (The United States of America) with our nation (those who share our white American ethnic identity). Calexit may weaken the power and prestige of the United States, but it would benefit our nation, because we would make up a larger percentage of the country’s population.

Normalizing talk of secession needs to be an essential goal for American White Nationalists because, ultimately, we wish to establish our own homeland on this continent. One way or another, this will require secession. Retaking the whole continental United States for our people is impractical because non-whites are not going to vote themselves off the continent. But, if state secession becomes a legitimate possibility, substantial numbers of them just might vote themselves out of the Union. By liberating themselves, they would also be liberating us.

I will conclude by quoting the famed South Carolina Senator, and stalwart defender of states’ rights, John C. Callhoun. However, this quote does not concern secession or states’ rights, but rather the possible annexation of Mexico. Following our victory in the Mexican War, some wanted to annex the entirety of Mexico and absorb it into the American Republic. Calhoun wisely spoke against this. Here is the great statesman on January 4, 1848, prioritizing the long-term wellbeing of his race over territorial expansion:

The next reason assigned is, that either holding Mexico as a province, or incorporating her into the Union, would be unprecedented by any example in our history. We have conquered many of the neighboring tribes of Indians, but we have never thought of holding them in subjection, or of incorporating them into our Union. They have been left as an independent people in the midst of us, or have been driven back into the forests. Nor have we ever incorporated into the Union any but the Caucasian race. To incorporate Mexico, would be the first departure of the kind; for more than half of its population are pure Indians, and by far the larger portion of the residue mixed blood. I protest against the incorporation of such a people. Ours is the Government of the white man.

The same principles apply today. Diversity is not our strength. Let California go.

    I think this is a good topic for a discussion amongst our best thinkers. Gregory Hood recently proposed something that sounds better to me. He proposed splitting up California into the coastal city-states, the Inland Empire (Central Valley) and Jeffersonia (Northern California).

    It pains me as I am deep Californian. My ancestors were critical in turning it from a desert into the mighty California pre Hart-Cellar. The Central Valley and foothills are rich in natural wealth and while fading, still largely American. Wine Country was once stalwart American but I am not sure how much the Hollywoodization and Corporatization of it has crushed it of its identiy. The same is true of Tahoe which may be a rich playground now and not a playground of White middle and upper middle class Americans. Then there are the ports to the Pacific Ocean that we would lose. I guess those would be for a Reconquista done by the American Asturias.

    Nonetheless, to let the entire thing go may be unwise. I think there is also value in fighting to assert American sovereignty for some time to continue to wake up Americans to the reality too many are in denial of. At any rate, I think our most cultivated and capable statesman should have an informed discussion on this topic.

      I think it would be a great thing if the whiter parts of California decide to split off from the coastal areas and form their own state or join other states.

      Did you live in CA when Proposition 187 was on the ballot? Things might have been different if it hadn’t been struck down by a Jewish judge.

        Its demise is a tragedy that is deeply personal and tragic to me. Mayorkas is shipping aliens to all the rural areas to prevent any possibility of salvaging any cohesive and contiguous territory. Praying the stock for inland empire and jeffersonia is sufficient and the alien penetration can be managed. An Asturian clear and hold and the will to do it is going to have to be in the table.

    There isn’t a coastline in this world beautiful enough to justify living around the typical Californian.   The good thing about blue-state secession is, the federal government is far more tolerant of leftist insurrection than rightist; as Mr. Chambers suggests, we need to just get out of the way and let the left and their antics get us one step closer to what we want: a sane safe place to live, away from parasites and the white hosts who love them.

      These are exciting times indeed, Beau. But you might want to rethink another Pickett’s charge as some sort of solution to regain the already lost territory of minority-White California.

If there were that number of determined White separatist/preservatists available, it would make much more sense for them and their families and like-minded, eligible kinsmen to regroup, organize with a purpose and “live another day” in a community a safe distance away in an all-White region.

        This topic is a cope.   First, the SCOTUS already ruled against secession in 1869 (Texas v White).  They ruled the union is “perpetual” and not subject to division.   Therefore legally it cannot happen.

         

        Logistically it’s also impossible.  Would Cali issue new currency or would we implant a Eurodollar?    All the business contracts would be insanely difficult to unwind and even harder to enforce with new laws and regulations.  Would we need passports or new ID systems?  TSA/FAA oversight?

         

        diolomatically we’d never allow an independent state next door.  Canada and Mexico are vassals of DC and Cali would be too.  Who controls the nukes and the military bases already there?

         

        economically Cali is 14.2% of our GDP.   Equivalent to the UK.   We would just let that go?   And the shipping comment isn’t bizarre at all

         

        finally FP.   We (sadly) are an empire and the forces that utilize this are in no way in the mood to change this.  The president would simply send troops into Sacramento If they ever even tried a vote

        I agree with that sentiment about China. However there are other considerations. Having ports give you control over trade and tariffs. It gives you access to the seas. Russia being landlocked always inhibited it. It also fortifies you from invasion.

         

        To lose the port cities is a major setback. It isn’t just access to China we must comsider. That said, a feckless ruling class handed this inheritance over. We should salvage all we can in as close proximity as we can. The foothills and bread basket and timberland are as valuable and if we can we should keep it.

        I agree with the sentiment of other comments. OThe The mindset of docile voters and rule followers landed us here. What we forfeit we do with a blood oath that it will be retaken and that we will forge the iron will necessary to do so. My forefather’s building it from nothing can’t have been for nothing.

        Ine other thing of note is that the LAnbasin is a rising force in aerospace and energy. It is all young brilliant white men on the vanguard of building the weapons, energy and production systems of the future. We must be a part of tha in as many ways that we can. The attorneys, the engineers, the financiers the security teams, civilizational endeavors … …

          It’s an impossibly large number of Hispanics to deport. Then you have the diversity fissures in the “white” population.

          Outside of California very few Americans realise just how big the LA conurbation really is. Some New Yorkers might have an inkling but Manhattan is an insular phenomenon while LA is a sprawl.  Only Europeans who’ve lived in London or Paris have the slightest idea of the vastness of the settlement.  Fighting for the place militarily with a largely white army would swallow up entire armies. Ed Dutton may or may not understand the scope of picking a fight with the Hispanics in So Cal but your figures illustrate the profound trouble brewing in the region just among the “whites”.

          I wonder how much of this peculiar demographic pattern has to do with a) real economic demand, b) the state’s Liberalism and c) the state’s reputation (sunny beaches, LA as the “Creative Capital of the World”, the 1960s Counter Culture etc). Middle-Easterners may be simply more attracted to the “glamour” and myth of California while Whites would often be disgusted by it.

      There’s a simple solution here. Keep the northern 25 percent of California and combine it with the southern 50 percent of western Oregon. Very white and somewhat conservative.  There was a movement to do just that in 1941–it would have been called “Jeffersonia.” Then dump the southern 3/4 of California and also get rid of the communist strongholds of western Oregon and western Washington. (Hopefully, eastern WA and OR would already be part of Greater Idaho by that time.) That gives us enough space for a couple of western seaports in the newly formed state of Jeffersonia and makes us a much whiter and more conservative country.

    The separation of California would only work if Californians had to stay there. If separation looked likely I could see many Hispanics leaving to move to the US as they know California will become like Mexico or any other Latin American country.

    In America, the trans movement is mostly led by activists and financiers based in California, Chicago, and New York.  A large portion of the social infrastructure (NGOs, universities, academic groups) that has been used to normalize hormonal and surgical alteration of children is located in California. Much of the funding comes from Jewish MTFs located in Chicago or NY (Jennifer Pritzker, Martine Rothblatt, etc.).

    California is also a “trans sanctuary state” (per senate bill 107, passed in 2022) and an independent California would attract the most radical individuals. There are some trans identifying people who genuinely want help and there are others who simply wish to invert social norms. There is a disproportionate overlap  between trans identities and Antifa, and some even go around attacking detransitioners:

    Those types are toxic influences on struggling young people and getting them into a separate nation-state would be a win, IMO.

      I’m not so sure the American public would back militarily action to stop California from leaving, should they try to peacefully secede (which does seem like a long shot today, but who knows where we will be in a few years).

      Leftists would obviously oppose sending troops into CA, and more than a few Republicans would realize that letting California leave would give them a permanent hold on the Presidency.

    It was on a night train in the Republic of South Africa way back when apartheid was still in force and that country could still be called “first world.” The conversation in the whites only passenger car turned (as usual) to what could be done to salvage some semblance of civilized rule against the rising tide of black numbers. The following point was made by a couple of the other passengers:

     

    “After World War II the opportunity was there to bring in people from Europe, especially refugees from Eastern Europe, many of whom were anti-communist (to put it mildly). This would have boosted white numbers in South Africa as well as infusing some additional intellectual and military skills into the Republic. But there was opposition to such a plan because European immigrants would push for decent wages and might compete with Boers for cultural dominance. Better to hope that somehow the ongoing situation of cheap black labor could be maintained.”

     

    Well, we can see how that one turned out.

     

    A related point was that the Republic should be partitioned. Not the Bantustan project. Rather, the whites would consolidate in the Cape, the Zulus would get a piece of Natal, and the rest of the country handed over to the remaining blacks. This way whites would have their own state.

     

    This option never got out of the station, so to speak, because of Boer farmers who were not going abandon the land which had been in their families for centuries. There were the nice English descended ladies who simply could not live without maid, nanny and gardener. And let us not leave out all those business owners who (again) wanted access to all that cheap black labor.

     

    Well, now they are losing all of it:  their land, their civilization and likely their lives.

     

    Which gets back to the article. Sometimes you just have to give up some territory in order to preserve the core civilization. Consolidate and set the foundations for your possible reconquest somewhere down the line.  But for now, strict geographical separation.

        Not sure what thst acronym will mean to the people of Illinois.  Vanity plates have been one of the last means of free expression, if you can get one past your state DMV.

        In the late 80s in NC I had the plate RAHOWA before folks knew what it was an acronym for. I ended up donating it to George Burdi, or to his wife, as I remember, since he was leader of the band by that name. Ondrej interviewed George.

        I had gotten a new plate by then — ZYKLON-B — that caused much more controversy once some Jew had complained to the state.  DMV actually mailed me a new place, unsolicited, asking me to return ZYKLON-B. I refused, daring the state to make a big deal out of it. I considered welding it to my truck should someone try to take it. ;o}

    It’s a new world, Peter. In the awful, racially destructive brothers war on US soil 160 years ago the combatants were feliheen (tillers of the soil). No more.     We have become content and lazy as a race, and have even been perceived as cowardly by some, but we are a SMART people — Nature’s finest — and will not allow our total replacement in our traditional living spaces. That leads to extinction. That will not happen. We are worth preserving! Mother Nature cares not who is the smartest of her creations, or the prettiest, or the most inventive, or most numerous — only which is left standing among competing sub-species at struggles’ end.

      I doubt economic considerations even play a big role today. It’s probably more social-signalling/conforming to expectations within their billionaire circles (see e.g. when billionaires try to outdo each other in the realm of “philanthropy”). There’s a certain groupthink prevalent among the Bill Gateses of the western world and more immigration is part of that consensus just like woke stuff, supporting Israel and transhumanism are. Plus, they’re influenced by mainstream media reporting and acute mass delusions (aka Current Things) just like most ordinary people are.

        Thank you, brother. I’m also partial to Appalachia since my father and that side of my family is from there. I lived in SE Kentucky, close to the Virginia and West Virginia borders, for about 10 years. There is a terrible epidemic of drug use there, especially among the younger people. I think alot of it is due to the high unemployment rate as well as other factors that effect our people no matter where they live in this country. Also the brand of Christianity practiced in many of the churches there is particularly pernicious with many John Hagee types. Those are the negatives but there are also many positives. First and foremost from my observations I would say that it was easily 97% White or more there and in the surrounding counties. Second the people are very proud of their heritage, especially those that had ancestors that had fought for the Confederacy.

        I’m familiar with the State of Franklin in Eastern Tennessee that existed right after the Revolutionary War.

        We definitely have an idea of what the future will entail and it won’t be pretty. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be stuck in some black, brown and/or yellow infested city or region when it all kicks off.

            We’ve been hearing, “Iran is weeks away from a nuke” since the 1990’s. Israel possesses an immense stockpile of nuclear and biological weapons in flagrant violation of international law. Unlike every other nuclear power Israel doesn’t allow international inspections of their arsenal since they are god’s own special all-stars therefore laws don’t apply to them. Then there is their “Samson Option” where if Israel were ever to face a military defeat and/or if Europeans ever stopped being so slavishly servile to the kike master race Israel would target every major city in Europe with their entire arsenal of nukes and dirty bombs. That’s some ally. I was so happy to see Iranian missles raining down on Israel however I knew that they are in a virtually impossible situation to win because even though China and Russia have good relations with Iran, the Chinese don’t want to ruffle too many Judeo American feathers since we are responsible for 80% or more of China’s exports which has transformed them from an isolated borderline third world country, just prior to the Clinton regime, to the most ascendant country on earth. All their wealth is a direct result of the treasonous Clintons, their jew controllers and the spineless businessmen of our own race that relocated 90% of our factories to China (and Mexico) while laying off tens of millions of White working class men and women from good paying manufacturing jobs that will never return unless we take back control. At least the economic repercussions of the great treason I just mentioned has helped to knock otherwise comfortable Americans back into reality which has induced thought in many who had not used their brains critically in some time. As Dr. Pierce, Revilo Oliver and the other great ones have repeatedly told us it will take severe privation and suffering to awaken most Americans out of their complacent slumber, especially among the aptly labeled “lemmings” and “boobs/masses of asses”, that Dr. Pierce and Dr. Oliver respectively, so frequently deemed the infinite legions of sports fans and trend followers. I truly do believe our people are FINALLY waking up, not only here but also in Europe and Australia. 10 to 15 years ago I would never have dreamed that this many people would become cognizant of the jews while also openly expressing the facts of racial differences. It’s definitely encouraging and even though we face such a dire state of affairs, I truly do feel grateful to be alive at this time where I have a chance to fight for the survival of our race. This is the attitude we MUST take instead of the escapism and the certain death defeatism of, “I wish I was born 100 years ago, it’s already too late to change anything, we are finished”. If people expressing those attitudes can’t be motivated into taking the initiative and becoming proactive then they and their chronic pessimism must be condoned off like a plague carrier.

    No, can’t let California go. No more defeatism and poltroonish withdrawals. Tactical repositioning, yes, but you don’t give a major portion of the country away. You owe it your children and to the rest of the world to show that a reconquista is possible as well as morally necessary.

    Secessions and redivisions? I would not be adverse to reverting Alaska and Hawaii to territorial status, so we can get back to that stable Lower-48 Union that worked. It was the centrifugal action of those new statehoods, I submit, that helped create the California problem. (If Hawaii can be mostly nonwhite and noncitizen, why not California? And why not repeal the 1924 Johnson Act?)

    Or just make Hawaii a territory again, as its statehood process was not quite legitimate in the first place. Its statehood bill seems to have bee rushed through by a Congress bedazzled by the notion of a 50-state country (half a hundred! Just think!). And meantime we reunite the two Virginias into the fine, large, populous cornerstone state Virginia was intended to be. Who could possibly oppose that motion?

      There can be no doubt that Christianity has done more destruction to the racial consciousness of the White race than any other ideology. It literally plunged Europe into “1000 years of darkness” where all the knowledge from the Aryan civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome were lost or purposely hidden away in monasteries by Christian monks. Christianity literally began as a jewish conspiracy against the Roman Empire recruiting the dregs of Roman society, subversive aliens and the criminals and derelicts of our race, in the exact way that a later incarnation of Christianity, Bolshevism did 1500 years later. You can see Charlemagne’s Christian piety and righteousness come to light in the way that he lured the pagan Saxon nobility to a peace conference under a flag of truce where he had the Saxons brutally murdered.         The points made in your “tangent” are all historically accurate, Let’s All Drink…, and should be agreed upon by all serious and influential White political soldiers, some of whom gather here at Counter-Currents.

        Pierce shortened Oliver’s “religious residue of Christianity” to the term “spiritual baggage” that one must shed before being guided by REALITY: using reason, common sense, science, lessons of history, and the eternal laws of Nature.

        Though English is not his first language, Wolf’s serious writing strikes me as what William Pierce would be saying to us today, had he not died 23 years ago.
