After several weeks of not having a Speaker of the House, the GOP have finally settled on a replacement for the deposed Kevin McCarthy. The lucky winner is Representative Mike Johnson of Louisiana. Johnson was first elected to Congress in 2016, which makes him the least experienced Speaker since John G. Carlisle in 1883.
Many have never heard of him, so I will review some facts about him that might be of interest to those on the dissident Right.
Mike Johnson has an A rating at NumbersUSA
I’m starting with the good news.
NumbersUSA is an immigration watch website that ranks political candidates. VDare references it all the time. Mike Johnson gets good marks across the board. According to NumbersUSA, he has one blemish: “Rep. Johnson has not sponsored H.R. 1100 to end the Visa Lottery.” If you had to pick one issue for the new Speaker of the House to be strong on, it’s immigration, and Johnson has been solid on that so far. That’s good — but it’s all downhill from there.
Mike Johnson is a socially conservative Evangelical Protestant
This means that there is an excellent chance he will eventually get caught smoking meth with a male prostitute in a public restroom. I don’t have anything against Christians per se, but the Christian Right has been a complete embarrassment in recent decades, particularly due to their stubborn denialism of long-settled science. In 2014, Mike Johnson worked as a lawyer for Ken Ham pro bono. Ham is a Young Earth creationist who believes the world is only 6,000 years old. Johnson even helped Ham to get state funding for his Noah’s Ark amusement park.
The main problem with Evangelicals is that creationism is antithetical to race realism, which accepts the theory of evolution. A creationist can of course still hold that God created the races unequally, but I don’t think anyone believes that anymore. The whole “God created blacks to be our slaves” thing went out of style long ago.

Mike Johnson is a fanatical Zionist
Johnson is pretty Jewed up. In 2021-2022, his top donor was American Israel Public, and in 2020, he visited Israel along with a radical settler activist group. The very first thing Johnson did after becoming Speaker of the House was put forward a bill affirming Congress’ support for Israel. It passed 412 to 10, with six members abstaining. Granted, this is a non-binding resolution that does not provide any money — that will come later. But it’s hard not to take it as an ill omen.

That said, Johnson is not a complete tool for the military-industrial complex. He has an F rating from Republicans for Ukraine. While he voted for the Ukraine Lend-Lease Act, he has voted against every Ukraine aid bill since then.
Mike Johnson has an adopted black son named Michael that may or may not be imaginary.
In a 2019 hearing on slavery reparations, Johnson said:
Many of my colleagues in this committee may not be aware, in addition to our four children at home, my wife and I have a much older son who happens to be African American. We took custody of Michael and made him part of our family 22 years ago when we were just newlyweds and Michael just 14 and out on the streets and on a dangerous path.
In 1997, Mike Johnson would have been 25 years old. So he has a “black son” who is only 11 years younger than him. Nothing weird about that.
Granted, there are some people who question whether this black son actually exists, or even if he does, whether the adoption was legal. First of all, black people have not been named “Michael” in a very long time. Secondly, Michael is not mentioned in any of Johnson’s official biographies. The first time that Johnson ever acknowledged his black son’s existence was during a Congressional hearing on slavery reparations in which he said his black son strongly opposed it on libertarian grounds. Right. And then everyone clapped.
After the big reveal, Johnson was asked to elaborate on this mysterious black son, to which Johnson’s spokesman replied, “The Congressman will not be commenting further than what was said today in committee out of respect for Michael, his privacy, and their relationship.” So we have to just take Mike Johnson at his word that this guy exists.
You all remember when @RepMikeJohnson from the Reparations Hearing yesterday, claimed he had a “Black son” who he took in? And this mysterious Black son told him that Black folks don’t need reparations? How come there are NO photos of this “Black son” in any of the family photos? pic.twitter.com/2nBEA1Bhre

Johnson is a total race cuck who believes in white privilege and systemic racism
Shortly after Geroge Floyd died of a drug overdose, Mike Johnson said the following at a Congressional hearing on the matter:
This is the first public hearing we’ve had since the terrible event that occurred in Minneapolis last week and there are some things that I think that anyone objectively observing these events can see and should agree on. The facts show that Mr. George Floyd appears to have been the victim of murder and I personally don’t believe that a close review of the video can lead anyone to any other conclusion. The tragedy has focused the spotlight once again . . . on the deep seeded problems we still have in this country. I think all of us agree that the crisis necessitates authentic reconciliation and transformative solutions for systematic change.
My prayer is that God will heal our nation and help us to see one another as He does. We should all agree that the murder of #GeorgeFloyd and the deep-seeded problems we have in this country necessitate authentic reconciliation and transformative solutions for systematic change. pic.twitter.com/AWmv62DmC7

In another video, Mike Johnson waxes philosophical about his son Jack — the one whose existence is not in dispute — and how he has an easier way through life than his other, potentially imaginary black son:
My son Jack, ironically, this year is 14, and I’ve thought often throughout all these ordeals over the last couple of weeks about the difference in experiences between my two 14-year-old sons, Michael being a black American and Jack being white Caucasian. They have different challenges. My son Jack has an easier path. He just does. The interesting thing about both of these kids Michael and Jack is that they are both handsome, articulate, talented kids, gifted by God to do lots of things but the reality is, and no one can tell me otherwise, my son Michael had a harder time than Jack is going to have simply because of the color of his skin.

I’m leaning toward the black son being imaginary, because Johnson only seems to bring him up in order to make political points. Or if he does exist, I think Johnson is greatly exaggerating their relationship. My guess is that Michael was Johnson’s teenage weed dealer who he let crash on his couch for a while.
In all, it’s good that the new Speaker is an immigration hawk, but if he doesn’t have any racial consciousness, I’m not sure how much he can be trusted not to cuck on the issue, especially if it comes into conflict with other matters he’s more passionate about.

But the thing that worries me the most is the black son — even though my suspicion is that he doesn’t exist. Regardless, if he doesn’t in fact have a black son, then he might very well be a pathological liar.

A few years ago, Matt Gaetz, out of nowhere, revealed he had been raising a Cuban since he was 12. He never formally adopted him, but he considers him his “son”. I was aware of Johnson, but I had no idea just how much of a goofball cuck he was.
Matt Gaetz: because in Washington, being thought a pedophile is nothing compared to being thought a racist.
Ya know, I didn’t consider the pedophilia angle because the alleged black kid moved in with Johnson and his wife. But now that you mention it, that would explain why Johnson doesn’t want anyone to find him.
But I’m leaning towards either “lying” or “greatly exaggerated” because Johnson only invokes his black son cynically, as a magic talisman to protect himself from accusations of racism.
If Johnson really wanted to respect the kid’s privacy, he shouldn’t have mentioned his existence at all. Now the MSM are going to be tracking down people who knew Johnson back in the late 90s and try to figure out who the kid is. Johnson may not have been worth the effort before but now that he is Speaker of the House, surely someone will.
I may be too old (chronologically, or perhaps, temperamentally) to understand contemporary PR (though I’ve worked in that field), but how could a white national politician, even an ordinary Congressman, especially a GOP one, think he could he could get away with claiming to have “adopted” (I guess “morally”, not legally) a black son, if this is false? I guess there’s always George Santos … but still. That in itself is a source of concern, apart from the interracial adoption (something which made me suspicious of Amy Coney Barrett when she was nominated to SCOTUS).
Like so many Christian “rightists”, the dude is basically a race-cuck moderate liberal who adheres to Christian social morality. I don’t trust or like that type. I did like the old Jesse Helms – socially, but also racially, conservative.
Thanks, sort of, for the update. Not that I expected good news.
“Abandon hope, all ye who enter here” should be stenciled above every voting booth in the county.
You’re hilarious!
Black son . Big supporter of Israel. Believes the George Floyd myth. We may as well have Steven Spielberg as Speaker of the House.
I’ve never understood the number of white nationalists who falsely believe that white southerners are “more racially conscious” than whites from the north or the west. Whether or not that was true in the past, it is certainly not true today.
Whites in the south today are overwhelmingly cucky on the subject of race and demographics. You see tons of black men with white women and biracial children all over the Deep South, you see white churches endlessly apologizing for “racism” and you’ll hear bar conversations from whites about “how many black and Chinese friends they have.” I’m not just saying these things, I’ve experienced them every time I spend time in the southern states. It’s out of control.
In my almost 36 years on this planet, the majority of the whites I’ve met or personally spoken to who fully understand race and demographics have been from New York, California, Maryland, and Connecticut. The Midwest is 50/50. Maybe 3 times in the last 20 years has it been a southerner who has assured me that they understand what’s been happening to us and our country.
I agree with the author. Even if he spouts some sanity on immigration, he can’t be trusted if he doesn’t even moderately understand things like race, demographics, who built this country, and who it’s for.
Im always open to pleasant surprises and miracles from God, but this man gives the all-around impression that he’s an even worse version of Newt Gingrich. To say that I’m not at all pleased is QUITE the understatement!
Like Germans, Southerners have been pretty browbeat about their past with similar results. I think this is one of the reasons so many WN’s hand jumped on the pro-Palestine bandwagon: it’s exciting to see the tables turn for once and have the Jews be the ones being guilt-tripped. They are getting a “taste of their own medicine” as they say.
As for how race woke the Midwest is, it depends on the place. There are still parts of the Midwest that are still super-majority white where you can go long periods of time without ever having to think seriously about race.
However, there are some parts of the Midwest where the blacks are so feral that no amount of social conditioning can make you not notice it. St. Louis is one such place. East Saint Louis across the river looms like Mordor. A lot of the Bowl Patrol was from St. Louis. Detroit is another place where everyone is woke on blacks. There is no non-racist way to explain the career of Kwame Kilpatrick.
Having traveled all over the country, perhaps I’m biased because I lived many years there, but I would say the St. Louis region is the number 1 based area. It is the most segregated by every metric. There are lower income white areas in South County, white-flightists in St. Charles, SWPLs in southwest/downtown St. Louis City, with the wealthiest area in the entire state West County is very SJW and Jewish/Asian, and black in North City (literally 99 percent black), North County and across the river into East St. Louis, Madison County etc.
The relocation/transformation of this region is comparable to Detroit, but more dramatic. North City was the premier portion of the entire region. Pat Buchanan used to live in Jennings and the baseball Cardinals have still technically spent most of their existence on that side. The blacks are more integrated in Detroit suburbs, but not at all in St. Louis.
The white ethnic makeup is primarily Catholic German/Irish, but nobody goes to church anymore.
Every single election public transit expansion is shot down. It is called the MetroLink and it goes in two articulated directions – back and forth in a very small area. Only blacks use it to ferry themselves in St. Louis County to do minimum wage jobs even though this region has the lowest gas prices and rent in the entire country. So this maintains de facto segregation.
Only in the Trump years has Missouri left the Solid South election pattern where a Democrat governor, president and senator is electable because it was always a toss-up. There are now only 3 consolidated blue counties, thanks to redistricting (St. Louis, Columbia and Kansas City), matching the only black areas + college towns.
Race-realism comes out even in diverse workplaces, even from white Democrats and young women.
Correct about the South, unfortunately. When I was 19 I moved to the south (military). Upon buying a car and going on my first foray into town with my basic training buddies, we encountered a gaggle of wiggers with Deep South accents. We all gawked at them, mocked them and howled with laughter. It was the most ridiculous thing we ever saw! We soon came to realize that all but a statistically insignificant minority of middle class southern teenagers were exactly the same
Indeed. Furthermore, Christians have been brownbeaten everywhere, and the South is very Christian
It’s neither insightful, original nor elegant, but “ClownWorld” is the only thing that comes to my mind, louder and louder. And louder.
Clown World — absolutely!! And it seems as if a new “ring” is added under the big-top every week, a’ la Jim Goad’s “Worst Week Yet”. (Heavy emphasis on the “yet”.)
Read St Thomas Aquinas noticing ethnic diversity/race realism as a demonstration of God’s power in creating harmony out of difference, before disparaging creationists as racecucks: the latter by and large tend to be evolutionists, who by and large want to blend and degenerate and robotize everyone in the name of “evolutionary progress”…
there is an excellent chance he will eventually get caught smoking meth with a male prostitute in a public restroom
The good news for him is, if he goes to a seedy motel with the male prostitute, he can just use his real name for check-in purposes since it sounds about as made up as “John Smith.”
