Editor’s Note:
The following text purports to be Dylann Roof’s 2,440 word “manifesto” from the website lastrhodesian.com. It was saved under the name “rtf88.txt.” I am reprinting it unaltered, typos and all. It seems unlikely that this manifesto is fake, since Roof is alive and could expose it if it were.
It turns out that Roof is a White Nationalist, aware of the racial and Jewish problems. He makes it clear that he was awakened by the Trayvon Martin affair. I imagine many people were, because calling George Zimmerman a white man — and sticking to it — is the most elegant proof possible that the establishment wishes to whip up black hatred against whites by creating the utterly false impression that blacks are disproportionately the victims rather than the perpetrators of interracial hate crimes.
The media had to consciously lie to sell that story, right down to editing the tape of Zimmerman’s 911 call. And they knew that, by triggering resentful and impulsive blacks, whites blood would flow. They considered that justice. And they also knew that black blood would flow when police showed up on the scene. But they considered that acceptable collateral damage. They also knew — indeed, they hoped — that whites would strike back, further polarizing the races. It took a while, but Dylann Roof did just that. It was a predictable and desired consequence of the Trayvon Martin operation, which was the template for subsequent black agitation in Ferguson, New York City, Baltimore, and eventually everywhere there are blacks who run afoul of the law. So I blame the Left.
It goes without saying that choosing to shoot 9 people at a Bible study in Charleston was a stupid and evil. It is a shame that when journalists lie, other people die. (James Foley being an exception.) But maybe Roof’s choice of target was not random. It will be interesting to see if that particular church, with its long history of civil rights agitation, played a role in the Trayvon Martin op as well.
The whole world will soon be reading this manifesto, and the establishment will respond with predictable lies, distortions, evasions, and emotional blackmail. Thus I am issuing a crowdsourcing appeal to our readers. In the comments below, please post links to reputable sources for every documentable factual claim that Roof makes in his manifesto. I will then choose the best of them and issue an annotated version.
I was not raised in a racist home or environment. Living in the South, almost every White person has a small amount of racial awareness, simply beause of the numbers of negroes in this part of the country. But it is a superficial awareness. Growing up, in school, the White and black kids would make racial jokes toward each other, but all they were were jokes. Me and White friends would sometimes would watch things that would make us think that “blacks were the real racists” and other elementary thoughts like this, but there was no real understanding behind it.
The event that truly awakened me was the Trayvon Martin case. I kept hearing and seeing his name, and eventually I decided to look him up. I read the Wikipedia article and right away I was unable to understand what the big deal was. It was obvious that Zimmerman was in the right. But more importantly this prompted me to type in the words “black on White crime” into Google, and I have never been the same since that day. The first website I came to was the Council of Conservative Citizens. There were pages upon pages of these brutal black on White murders. I was in disbelief. At this moment I realized that something was very wrong. How could the news be blowing up the Trayvon Martin case while hundreds of these black on White murders got ignored?
From this point I researched deeper and found out what was happening in Europe. I saw that the same things were happening in England and France, and in all the other Western European countries. Again I found myself in disbelief. As an American we are taught to accept living in the melting pot, and black and other minorities have just as much right to be here as we do, since we are all immigrants. But Europe is the homeland of White people, and in many ways the situation is even worse there. From here I found out about the Jewish problem and other issues facing our race, and I can say today that I am completely racially aware.
Blacks
I think it is is fitting to start off with the group I have the most real life experience with, and the group that is the biggest problem for Americans.
Niggers are stupid and violent. At the same time they have the capacity to be very slick. Black people view everything through a racial lense. Thats what racial awareness is, its viewing everything that happens through a racial lense. They are always thinking about the fact that they are black. This is part of the reason they get offended so easily, and think that some thing are intended to be racist towards them, even when a White person wouldnt be thinking about race. The other reason is the Jewish agitation of the black race.
Black people are racially aware almost from birth, but White people on average dont think about race in their daily lives. And this is our problem. We need to and have to.
Say you were to witness a dog being beat by a man. You are almost surely going to feel very sorry for that dog. But then say you were to witness a dog biting a man. You will most likely not feel the same pity you felt for the dog for the man. Why? Because dogs are lower than men.
This same analogy applies to black and White relations. Even today, blacks are subconsciously viewed by White people are lower beings. They are held to a lower standard in general. This is why they are able to get away with things like obnoxious behavior in public. Because it is expected of them.
Modern history classes instill a subconscious White superiority complex in Whites and an inferiority complex in blacks. This White superiority complex that comes from learning of how we dominated other peoples is also part of the problem I have just mentioned. But of course I dont deny that we are in fact superior.
I wish with a passion that niggers were treated terribly throughout history by Whites, that every White person had an ancestor who owned slaves, that segregation was an evil an oppressive institution, and so on. Because if it was all it true, it would make it so much easier for me to accept our current situation. But it isnt true. None of it is. We are told to accept what is happening to us because of ancestors wrong doing, but it is all based on historical lies, exaggerations and myths. I have tried endlessly to think of reasons we deserve this, and I have only came back more irritated because there are no reasons.
Only a fourth to a third of people in the South owned even one slave. Yet every White person is treated as if they had a slave owning ancestor. This applies to in the states where slavery never existed, as well as people whose families immigrated after slavery was abolished. I have read hundreds of slaves narratives from my state. And almost all of them were positive. One sticks out in my mind where an old ex-slave recounted how the day his mistress died was one of the saddest days of his life. And in many of these narratives the slaves told of how their masters didnt even allowing whipping on his plantation.
Segregation was not a bad thing. It was a defensive measure. Segregation did not exist to hold back negroes. It existed to protect us from them. And I mean that in multiple ways. Not only did it protect us from having to interact with them, and from being physically harmed by them, but it protected us from being brought down to their level. Integration has done nothing but bring Whites down to level of brute animals. The best example of this is obviously our school system.
Now White parents are forced to move to the suburbs to send their children to “good schools”. But what constitutes a “good school”? The fact is that how good a school is considered directly corresponds to how White it is. I hate with a passion the whole idea of the suburbs. To me it represents nothing but scared White people running. Running because they are too weak, scared, and brainwashed to fight. Why should we have to flee the cities we created for the security of the suburbs? Why are the suburbs secure in the first place? Because they are White. The pathetic part is that these White people dont even admit to themselves why they are moving. They tell themselves it is for better schools or simply to live in a nicer neighborhood. But it is honestly just a way to escape niggers and other minorities.
But what about the White people that are left behind? What about the White children who, because of school zoning laws, are forced to go to a school that is 90 percent black? Do we really think that that White kid will be able to go one day without being picked on for being White, or called a “white boy”? And who is fighting for him? Who is fighting for these White people forced by economic circumstances to live among negroes? No one, but someone has to.
Here I would also like to touch on the idea of a Norhtwest Front. I think this idea is beyond stupid. Why should I for example, give up the beauty and history of my state to go to the Norhthwest? To me the whole idea just parralells the concept of White people running to the suburbs. The whole idea is pathetic and just another way to run from the problem without facing it.
Some people feel as though the South is beyond saving, that we have too many blacks here. To this I say look at history. The South had a higher ratio of blacks when we were holding them as slaves. Look at South Africa, and how such a small minority held the black in apartheid for years and years. Speaking of South Africa, if anyone thinks that think will eventually just change for the better, consider how in South Africa they have affirmative action for the black population that makes up 80 percent of the population.
It is far from being too late for America or Europe. I believe that even if we made up only 30 percent of the population we could take it back completely. But by no means should we wait any longer to take drastic action.
Anyone who thinks that White and black people look as different as we do on the outside, but are somehow magically the same on the inside, is delusional. How could our faces, skin, hair, and body structure all be different, but our brains be exactly the same? This is the nonsense we are led to believe.
Negroes have lower Iqs, lower impulse control, and higher testosterone levels in generals. These three things alone are a recipe for violent behavior. If a scientist publishes a paper on the differences between the races in Western Europe or Americans, he can expect to lose his job. There are personality traits within human families, and within different breeds of cats or dogs, so why not within the races?
A horse and a donkey can breed and make a mule, but they are still two completely different animals. Just because we can breed with the other races doesnt make us the same.
In a modern history class it is always emphasized that, when talking about “bad” things Whites have done in history, they were White. But when we lern about the numerous, almost countless wonderful things Whites have done, it is never pointed out that these people were White. Yet when we learn about anything important done by a black person in history, it is always pointed out repeatedly that they were black. For example when we learn about how George Washington carver was the first nigger smart enough to open a peanut.
On another subject I want to say this. Many White people feel as though they dont have a unique culture. The reason for this is that White culture is world culture. I dont mean that our culture is made up of other cultures, I mean that our culture has been adopted by everyone in the world. This makes us feel as though our culture isnt special or unique. Say for example that every business man in the world wore a kimono, that every skyscraper was in the shape of a pagoda, that every door was a sliding one, and that everyone ate every meal with chopsticks. This would probably make a Japanese man feel as though he had no unique traditional culture.
I have noticed a great disdain for race mixing White women within the White nationalists community, bordering on insanity it. These women are victims, and they can be saved. Stop.
Jews
Unlike many White naitonalists, I am of the opinion that the majority of American and European jews are White. In my opinion the issues with jews is not their blood, but their identity. I think that if we could somehow destroy the jewish identity, then they wouldnt cause much of a problem. The problem is that Jews look White, and in many cases are White, yet they see themselves as minorities. Just like niggers, most jews are always thinking about the fact that they are jewish. The other issue is that they network. If we could somehow turn every jew blue for 24 hours, I think there would be a mass awakening, because people would be able to see plainly what is going on.
I dont pretend to understand why jews do what they do. They are enigma.
Hispanics
Hispanics are obviously a huge problem for Americans. But there are good hispanics and bad hispanics. I remember while watching hispanic television stations, the shows and even the commercials were more White than our own. They have respect for White beauty, and a good portion of hispanics are White. It is a well known fact that White hispanics make up the elite of most hispanics countries. There is good White blood worht saving in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and even Brasil.
But they are still our enemies.
East Asians
I have great respent for the East Asian races. Even if we were to go extinct they could carry something on. They are by nature very racist and could be great allies of the White race. I am not opposed at all to allies with the Northeast Asian races.
Patriotism
I hate the sight of the American flag. Modern American patriotism is an absolute joke. People pretending like they have something to be proud while White people are being murdered daily in the streets. Many veterans believe we owe them something for “protecting our way of life” or “protecting our freedom”. But im not sure what way of life they are talking about. How about we protect the White race and stop fighting for the jews. I will say this though, I myself would have rather lived in 1940’s American than Nazi Germany, and no this is not ignorance speaking, it is just my opinion. So I dont blame the veterans of any wars up until after Vietnam, because at least they had an American to be proud of and fight for.
An Explanation
To take a saying from a film, “I see all this stuff going on, and I dont see anyone doing anything about it. And it pisses me off.”. To take a saying from my favorite film, “Even if my life is worth less than a speck of dirt, I want to use it for the good of society.”.
I have no choice. I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight. I chose Charleston because it is most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to Whites in the country. We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.
Unfortunately at the time of writing I am in a great hurry and some of my best thoughts, actually many of them have been to be left out and lost forever. But I believe enough great White minds are out there already.

In an earlier comment I said we need writers and thinkers not assassins. Having read his statement I see that Dylann Roof was an instinctive writer – what a pity that he wasted his talent.
Yes, we need even more writers and “thinkers”. The alien elites will read our essays, like them, and let us have our own country.
The aim of the “alien elite” is to control the world, with all kinds of people under their rule. So you really think they’ll allow us Whites to have our space?
I think we need some more writers, but only if they are good writers. Both academics and writers who can reach more broad audiences.
But we more than anything need more organizers and leaders willing to show their faces publicly. People who are willing to risk their reputation and social status, in order to attain political goals. The alternative right being stuck as a mainly fringe internet phenomena will accomplish little.
But there are some encouraging signs in Europe. Political grassroots groups are organizing, and it looks like CC and other metapolitical groups have had some influence on this development.
But I agree that lone wolf assasins like Roof or the notorious Breivik will accomplish little.
You are the first person I have come across whose thoughts about Dylann are similar to my own. “…instinctive writer.” He most certainly is. He is a 21 y/o kid who has not attended a university and has not completed high school. Yet the intellectual potential is there in this sincere and raw manifesto. He is a diamond in the rough, in my opinion. Had he had a more advantaged situation and circumstance minus the alcohol and drugs, he could have developed his thoughts and contributed something really worthwhile. Maybe he can still accomplish that if he does not get the death penalty. I will look forward to reading the world wide comments on young Dylann’s thoughts. My heart goes out to this kid. This is so sad. He knew what was going on. He is very articulate. That he thought it was up to him to save the white race is so very white. His inner turmoil must have been huge. This is why white men need to bond together, instead of being rugged individuals or chasing skirts. All for one and one for all is better than I can do this myself. This kind of isolation will kill off our men one by one. He is a new kind of lone wolf. He needed a pack. And where are the Christians who will call him son? The ones I checked are busy distancing themselves.

Reading the manifesto, seeing the corresponding image of him looking down, thinking about the gruesome fate that now awaits this young White man, against the backdrop of our state as a People, I nearly teared up at the colossal tragedy of it all.
Despite his counterproductive methods this was clearly a well-meaning young Man, with good, sound instincts, but without proper leadership, willing to sacrifice for a People who’d despise him because of it.
Let this tragedy light a fire under our backsides to urgently create productive outlets for White boys, girls, men & women to effectively fight for our People in a meaningful way, besides just talking – as has been alluded to in some comments on a related article.
The antiwhite establishment caused Dylann to snap. I am very saddened that he threw his life away and I am very sad that that the fall of segregation has resulted in tensions between whites and blacks, tensions which have resulted in there having been tragedies experienced by both whites and blacks.
Ultimately I blame the system and its collaborators for what has happened. And it is heartbreaking to see the barrage of hatred directed at Dylann who was simply a victim of the system. My sympathies also go out to the black families who have suffered losses as well. This incident demonstrates that we need to reinstate segregation for the sake of both whites and blacks.
Just like Breivik, Roof appears to be intelligent and well informed. But just like Breivik he committed an act that is as immoral as it is counterproductive.
This young man should have gone into (local) politics, or at least into activism, such as Angelo Gage is doing.
There are still constructive avenues to channel frustration into, but lone wolf terrorism is not one of them.

Reminds me of Breivik in a way, though this kid is closer to the money. He acknowldges the JQ but then calls them “White,” says the USA was A-OK till Vietnam… Clearly he still had some reading to do. Anyway, as with Brievik, this shows that ideological “extremism” is far from motivating such acts. People flip because of personal experiences and psychological make-up, not because of Hitler or Holohoax revisionism. It also means that mainstreamers will have one less leg to stand on. By the time WN goes mainstream, Hitler will be fully rehabilitated and everyone will be cursing Jews without reservation.
Although it lacks the intelligence of the posts and comments on Counter-Currents, I would say that his ideas are largely consistent with the opinions expressed here. Of course, his violent actions are not.

The quotation is from the 2012 Japanese film, “Himizu”. Any of our resident film theorists familiar with this rather obscure picture? As the film has no popular following among White Nationalists (New or Old Right) my guess is that Roof was also a fan of Japanese Anime and Manga–he obviously admired Eastasians and saw them as potential allies.

There is a meme going around that he was a Manchurian candidate. The only person I think that qualifies for that is John McCain. However, when this comes from the new right, I have to wonder just what they are smoking. That a bright young man cannot figure out that he is being jerked around by the media and those who are supposed to be looking after his best interest becomes a fantasy we are in big trouble. The only thing I can think of is that he did not write this. That is what I want to know. Who knows what medications they have put him on now. So Dr. J. your proposal is very good.
Dylann Roof is alive, and eventually he will be able to testify about whether the manifesto is his work or not. Given that, it seems quite unlikely it is a fake.
Beyond that, if it were a fake, concocted for propaganda purposes, it would not be as moderate as it is.
He seems like a bright kid led to despair. His article brilliantly sums up all the major points we face as a race.

Face it people, we really are losing control of this country. The words “A government for the people, by the people and of the people” sounds meaningless today. Roof commited an evil act, but his heart and brain were trying to say and do the right thing. This makes him truly a most tragic figure.
As others have noted, this is sad. We need some way to get disgruntled, bright guys and push them through the kind of training a good high school would have given them in past. Classics, philosophy, standardized test prep. Being in a system that caters to dindus, jews, and women must take a toll on guys with crappy family arrangements.

Seems clear to me that there might be some parallels there with what Roof at least thought he was doing.

Explain

A curious crowd forms on the exposed seabed, completely unaware of the unforgiving calamity that awaits.
Perhaps he wanted to accelerate the conflict of races that he saw as inevitable. He may have thought that if the conflict did not start soon, there would be no White people left who would be willing to fight it at all.
His actions certainly did accelerate things. Whites are now seeing that their politicians are pandering traitors. With the Mitt Romney, the vibrant repug Nickey Haley, and the fabulous warmonger Lindsey Graham calling for the removal of the confederate flag. The left is also calling all white people terrorists, I think the lefts overreaction to this event is going to wake a lot of people up. The quote that the media have latched onto is “they are raping our women”. I didn’t see reference to rape in his alleged manifesto (did I miss it?), so i’m not sure if this is of use to you, but I still think it’s important:

According to table 42 of that document, there are 0* cases of white on black rape but >20,000 cases of black on white rape. The * appended to the o indicates that the actual number could be at most 10.
I’ve been linking to that document in comments section, trying to frame Roof’s rampage in the same way the left frames black peoples’ rampages (he was a troubled teen who was trying to make a point about injustice, etc).
The left gets infuriated when I link that document, but conservatives are intrigued by it.
I believe this is the same table David Duke referred to in an interview one time about black on white crime. The black female interviewer almost couldn’t handle it. If I am not mistaken, these are victim survey data, not from actual convictions. With a crime like sexual assault I am inclined to think victim surveys are a more valuable source as they are often not successfully prosecuted or the suspect is not identified.
I remember looking at trustworthy data by the DOJ, from 2005, stating the number of BM o WW sexual assaults (which doesn’t persé equal rapes) at around 37.000 per year. WM on BW was indeed less than 10 per year.

These are good observation. This is why it is necessary that serious statistics is done regarding immigrant/minority crime. It is a good thing that it is being done in some European countries.
In regards to black crime and Hispanic crime, roof seems to think that blacks are a much bigger problem. He is correct about this.
Ron Unz, who runs the Unz Review, wrote an article that showed that the violent crime rate of a city is correlated more so with blacks (i.e., how many blacks live in a city) than with poverty. But Unz also found that Hispanics are about as much correlated with violent crime as whites, which is sort of what Roof was saying.

This backlash from Europeans should come as no surprise, we under attack in our own Nations, the Main Stream Media (MSM) never talks about Black on White crime in our Nations.
Here in the States according to Government statistics, 90% of all interracial crime is black against white.
Europeans have endured many hardships and have been misled by our own governments; we have many obstacles to overcome, not the least of which was given up our own identity.
Europeans were told that it’s improper and even immoral to think of ourselves as a group.

Can’t say I disagree regarding the gynocentrism. The “black rape epidemic” is used–quite cynically I might add–by many WN groups to emotionally get young men hooked in. So damn right WN shouldn’t abandon him… they created him and led him to believe that “blecks” were the reasons why no White woman gave him the time of day, that he can’t find worthwhile employment as a White man and that his potential future is worth less than a speck of dirt.
The “manosphere” offers some valid critiques and observations about modern gender relations and feminism. However, just like feminism it seems to try to drive a wedge between white men and white women. Rather than encouraging white men and women to form partnerships and start families, white men are told that all white women are fat and neurotic and should be shunned. While there is undoubtedly a cultural problem that whites are facing, there are still virtuous white women left. Furthermore, White Knighting is when a man submits to a woman’s poor judgement in order to get laid. Being concerned about your people getting raped is not white knighting. I don’t find this surprising. He grew up around a lot of blacks. He is bound to have had black friends, which he probably had not shed yet, even given his developing racialist beliefs.
By the way, regarding the question of why he chose the type of target that would alienate so many potential sympathisers:
He wanted to kill as many people as possible and get away unharmed (though he seems to have had no plan of permanently escaping detection). If he had gone and shot up some place where black criminals congregate, he’d have been jumped on and beaten into a coma after the first couple of shots, or one of them might have shot back and killed him. Also, he obviously wanted there to be no uncertainty about the political nature of the killing. Given his prior arrest for drugs, if he had shot at black criminals, there would always be the suspicion that it was a drug deal gone wrong, or some other criminal dispute.
I’m not normally to conspiratorially minded, but his indulgent pictures wherein he looks like a KKK lampoon are perhaps even more curious than his actions and choice of target. They look exactly like something the Daily Show might design (wardrobe, hair, props, etc) for a bit to make fun of nationalists. They couldn’t have been more perfectly designed for maximum media impact against white interests. That, in combination with his actions and target, are just too perfectly aligned to work against his supposed goals.
The Manifesto is a curious mix of astute mirroring of mid-tier nationalist concerns, and completely missing obvious insights – the largest one of all would be knowing that such a mass shooting would only lead to harm for his cause.
For example, his insight into institutionalized White feelings of superiority and Black feelings of inferiority, illustrated with analogy, reflects an exceptional level of intelligence. Though, I’m not sure that I completely agree with it. In comparison, the Jewish Question is not that complex and yet, even knowing that his Manifesto would be widely read the world over, he cops out by stating that he does not understand them and that they are an enigma. To recap, he gives lip service to arguably the most pressing nationalist complaint that is needed for credibility, but fails to explain anything about it to the world in the vein that he more or less does with Blacks.
In the end, killing a bunch of Church ladies to further White nationalism is like killing a bin of Golden Retriever puppies. It only brings hate, which i understand is a plausible motivation for him as he likely believes that the conflict will be won through attrition. However, it should be apparent to anyone who speaks to this cause that the war is a moral war. WN’s need to enforce this paradigm to prevent events like this from occurring. Anyone who violates its spirit needs to be rejected as an ally. By virtue of ignorance or subversion, they are not. This includes all “marching organizations”. The Jews win without them, and because of their internal culture. We should be building culture that builds group political power, not fanaticism. We cannot win a war of attrition. That is not how modern wars are fought. Modern wars must always be first morally defensible if they are to be won. The world must be convinced of the morality of our cause if we are to win, or perhaps the Media arbiters of this hostile and foreign morality need only to be dismantled for the majority to be free to stand up. Either way, the moral high ground must be fought for and protected as much as possible even beyond any hypothetical future victory. War is war and killing occurs, but it must occur through a moral lens.
The same issue applies to Weev’s recent appearance over at TRS. His bullshit should have been anticipated a mile away. He should not have been let on as he cannot be trusted given his allegiance to a Troll ethic. We should take all assistance from him that is actually helpful, but keep people like him and Justine Tunney at arms length precisely because they are vague in their loyalty or otherwise have proven themselves to have a penchant for making damaging comments. Saying what he said on the only website to be successfully walking the hair-width line toward actually deconstructing much of the language and narrative of the core of the left is absolutely unforgivable. He took their satire and made it real. Furthermore, those guys should have realized it and edited out the remarks. They damage anyone who has been associated with the site, to include Greg Johnson. Fuck Weev and all others who knowingly or unwittingly damage our cause. We need either much more disciplined control over our discourse or we need actual leaders who can reign in and deal with subversives. One has to study the enemy (or merely your envied culture of choice) and how it wins, on all fronts. The enemy wins because of the specific structure of its culture. Mormons are a great example of an enviable Kosher gentile community, but not the best example for emulation. Why? Because they were not able to retain their ethnocentric protection, the core of any group’s political power. They were impressively able to keep it through the 1970’s. However, they had a cultural weakness that was exploited. I believe that their priesthood culture simply was not strong enough and self-protected enough. In contrast, Jews have been able to retain explicit racial chauvinism in the face of all criticism. This is because of the nature of their Orthodox. The culture is effectively impenetrable to outside influence.
That being said, your thoughts are precisely on target for what indigenous Europeans need. The most effective route would be an Orthodox culture that was structurally parallel to but did not interact with Judaism. This would politically nullify their effect, if it could survive all onslaught. The second best option would be to convert to Judaism but keep a measure of Aryan chauvinism and Semitic exclusion. This is effectively what they do to us. This is what the Jews fear most, and it is a primary reason why they are so hesitant to take converts or to trust them. It has the most potential to ruin their political strategy and structure.
Any culture that breeds family values and can act as an ethnic shelter would be psychologically healing for Whites. It would also, by definition, breed a certain amount of political power. Though, nothing is as powerful as the structure of Judaism. Hence, my strategic suggestions. Though, I would advocate for something that rejected their materialism for a more Aryan compatible metaphysics. We would just need to inoculate it against pathological altruism. 1. Roof is a person on the margins of society that is acting out on a serious problem happening in the core of society. Problems at the core play out in the margins. The Algerian FLA started with marginal, Roof-like human capital and then moved on to snap up core members of their society. The core-margin problem here is that there are undeniable terrible racial tensions which have been building up since the Obama Campaign and the MSM highlighted the Trayvon Martin fiasco. I recently taught in school districts with student bodies that are 100% white. I experienced such an enthusiastic and warm reception at each of these schools that it was quite embarrassing. It appeared that I was embraced by the students because I satisfied a hunger in these high performing schools for intellectual stimulation. They liked to be challenged with my endless collection of brain teasers, and really appreciated the way I taught math, training them as better thinkers and learners along the way and embracing the onus to convince them of the validity of the concepts imparted. They in turn, through their performance and their response to me, reinforced my belief that a teacher really has the best job in the world. As I read Dylan’s writing, I couldn’t help wishing that I had him as a student. He is clearly a thoughtful person and I believe both the other students alluded to and I would probably have influenced him for the better.

He does have more insight on race than 99 per cent of his coevals. It stems from curiosity and the will to do the necessary research. I don’t deny his innate intelligence and perspicacity, but this insight can be acquired by anyone of modest intelligence who has an Internet connection and is willing to learn.
I agree with Roscommonguy.
The fact he may say something of any interest does not change the fact his thought are childish and in the end based mainly on abstraction, on internet-nerd-life. Not real life. Not a political life.
As a mature man you can’t use a child point of view for your political fight, isn’t it? If not, any child, any boy, could give you an “intelligent insight” on almost anything. But the fact is that real life experience, growing into a real situation, bonding with other people makes you a man, closing you in a room writing your crazy isolated philosophy is usually seen as a medical matter.
Watch at “classical” racialists and you will see “men of their time”, deeply rooted in political struggle and in historical reality.
Despite defending anything about this boy – I say forget him forever – I think the good and strong battle is a symbolic one: put the confederate flag in it’s place, say the truth about it and history on the streets, on conferences etc. Impose a talk on truth that any man of european descent can understand in the southern states of US. That’s a good battle, in my eyes.
Let me join Irmin in calling complete BS on Francesco (Roscommonguy’s comment, I’ll simply ignore since he produces words without actually saying anything).
Not only was Roof clearly very intelligent and insightful, his positions on Jews and Asians, deemed as largely incorrect by most on our side, are more than anything a clear sign of an independent thinker. While he may have been in the wrong on certain issues, it was by conscious disagreement. He knew what the generally held opinions were on these issues in our Movement, but he didn’t adopt them as long as he wasn’t personally convinced himself (would’ve been just a matter of time obviously).
In a way, this is even more impressive than if he’d just parrotted all the ‘traditional’ views.
Bottom line it all comes down to this. The establishment has the power to choose which stories get attention and which don’t, which details are emphasized and which are omitted, which incidents we’re repeatedly reminded of and told to draw moral conclusions from, and even lie. Much as I deplore how Roof’s actions played into the hands of anti-Whites, and wish desperately that he had had someone to counsel him out of such a stupid act, it’s seems to me that it is statistically inevitable that sooner or later some White man would have done something that played into the establishment’s hand. That’s simply how the system works. After all, as many people pointed out here, if we were to objectively look at all racial hate crimes in the West, we would already be overwhelmingly on the high ground, but unfortunately we don’t get to choose what people are exposed to.
Every single thing Dylan Roof stated in his manifesto is correct. I agree with all of it. It’s as if I wrote it myself.

I came here to find the facts and I was not disappointed. Lots of thoughtful insights. I was a little surprised that no one mentioned the issue of cognitive dissonance and it’s negative psychological effects. Anybody care to enlighten me? I awakened at a late age and I have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks.
