This is an especially merry Christmas for Jonathan Bowden fans.
First, on December 21, Bowdenian Investigations on X announced that he had found Bowden’s lost film on his own art, Fenris Devours Odin. The file was on Archive.org but unplayable because it required Flash. It is now on the Jonathan Bowden Archive. Unfortunately, the quality of the video is not particularly high. I am investigating the possibility of redoing the whole film with Bowden’s voiceover and higher quality images of his artworks.
Second, later that day, I was editing a new batch of my correspondence with Bowden. Jonathan usually signed his name with the url of his website, https://www.jonathanbowden.co.uk/, which went offline shortly after his death. There was a live hyperlink in my document, and when my cursor passed over it, I saw a preview of the site. Sure enough, sometime this year, the site had been put back online with some updates. I called Jonathan’s heir and executor, but he had no idea who was behind it. I assume it was Jonathan’s old webmaster, whom I tried contacting earlier this year. I would love to hear from the webmaster at [email protected].
Third, today I published my last batch of correspondence with Jonathan. You can read all the correspondence here.
Also, you will be pleased to note that sales of Jonathan’s books have been at an all-time high in 2025, due in large part to the online enthusiasts who keep his name and ideas alive. Thank you!
Merry Christmas to you all!
And now, for the Happy New Year:
Next year, Counter-Currents will publish the first volume of our new edition of Jonathan’s Collected Works, which he published in 1995 in six volumes. The Collected Works comprises 27 short books and runs more than 2,600 pages. Only 12 of these books had been previously published, so the vast bulk of this collection was brand new material. Unfortunately, very few copies were printed, and used copies are unavailable at any price. Eight of the short books have been reprinted, but only two remain in print. Thus even Bowden fanatics like me have never read most of this material. But now we have access to all 6 volumes, so Counter-Currents and the Jonathan Bowden Archive will republish the Collected Works both online and in print.
