The BBC—the supposedly politically neutral, internationally trusted, “Gold Standard of journalism” BBC—attempted to rig the American 2024 presidential election. There was so much “Fake News” about Russia interfering with the 2016 Presidential Election and which was proven to be “Fake News”, but the “real news”—which is so incredible that the British press can barely bring themselves to articulate it—is that the British Broadcasting Corporation thought they could get away with pushing the American Presidential Election towards Kamala Harris.
How did they do this? Well, BBC programmes are viewed by about 44 million people in America and it tends to be trusted, probably, in part, due to an out-dated understanding of Britain as sexually restrained and obsessed with tea and formality. The BBC’s flagship current affairs programme is Panorama and a mere week before the 2024 election the BBC broadcast the episode “Trump? A Second Chance?”
As part of this episode, they showed a clip of President Trump’s speech to his supporters on the 6th January, 2021. However, it was, to put it charitably, extremely creatively edited. Indeed, it seamlessly spliced together parts of the speech that were separated by 54 minutes in order to make it look like Trump deliberately incited a violent riot on that day. In reality, of course, Trump did no such thing.
In their resignations over this outrage, both the Director General of the BBC and its head of news have declared that this was a “mistake” and that the BBC is not biased to the left. But anyone who knows anything about video editing can see that it cannot have been a mistake. It was very deliberate. Indeed, the crowd’s applause was, at one point, edited out so that the clip flowed seamlessly. It was not a “mistake”. It was a planned lie and its only possible purpose was to sway the audience towards the idea that President Trump incited a riot in order to overthrow American democracy.
The BBC did everything it could to stop this lie coming to light, which they surely wouldn’t have done if it was merely a genuine mistake. Six months ago, an external consultant called Michael Prescott delivered a memo to the BBC on his concerns about serious bias and poor journalistic standards, especially with regard to the episode of Panorama, and the BBC refused to accept that there had been a breach of standards until the memo was leaked to The Daily Telegraph, a major UK newspaper. Prescott’s concerns included not just that Panorama episode but also the BBC’s obviously biased treatment of the trans issue, such that the organization suppressed and silenced any voices that dissented from the woke line.
We all know that the BBC, which the British are compelled to fund by paying £180 for an annual television licence, is strongly biased to the left. Doctor Who must be black or female, historical dramas and documentaries are replete with anachronistic black characters, it was reported in 2020 that 75% of comedy slots are taken up by anti-Brexit, left-wing comedians, and, most recently, BBC newsreader Martine Croxall was rebuked by the organization for changing the phrase “pregnant people” to “women” in a live news report and pulling a face while she did so. This is the organization that headlines, “27 police officers injured during largely peaceful anti-racism protests in London” but, when it’s a right-wing protest, “London protests: More than 100 arrests after violent clashes with police.”
Its bias is clear for anyone to see, despite the fact that it is licence-payer funded and is, therefore, supposed to be politically neutral and to represent everybody in Britain. However, what the BBC did to President Trump clearly goes way beyond “bias” and manifestly wasn’t a “mistake.” It was a reflection of the left-wing attitude that “instrumental harm” is acceptable: the ends justify the means. The Orange Man is “evil” and it is, therefore, morally acceptable to lie and manipulate in order to help to defeat him, in the words of Antifa to whom many at the BBC are doubtless sympathetic, “by any means necessary.”
The BBC response has been astounding denial. BBC journalist Nick Robinson declared on Radio 4 that “the right” was “destroying” the BBC. All “the right” have done is report the truth about the BBC and the extent of its bias and lying. For Labour former shadow minister Emily Thornberry,
Across the world, the BBC is recognised as the best source of impartial news reporting. It’s not perfect, because nothing made by people ever is. However, in these days of deliberate lies, manipulation & populism, it’s a beacon of truth. Britain should be proud of it.
You might as well assert that the BBC presenter, and paedophile, Sir Jimmy Savile—whose abuse the BBC clearly knew about it while he was alive—is a national treasure who is not perfect. The BBC was regarded as “impartial,” now we have absolute proof that it is no such thing.
Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey tweeted: “It’s easy to see why Trump wants to destroy the world’s number one news source. We can’t let him. The BBC belongs to all of us here in the UK.” He further said that criticising the BBC was “shocking and unpatriotic.” Suddenly, we have an appeal to nationalism by a politician who usually despises it: We can’t let the Americans interfere with our precious BBC!
The desperation of British leftists to save the BBC, and manipulate people into ignoring what it’s done, is totally understandable. It is a crucial propaganda arm for the left, an arm whose key purpose is to manipulate the population into the accepting the woke world view. If it falls—if it loses its tax payer funding and is forced to compete—the left may be in serious trouble.
President Trump has put the BBC on notice that he will sue it for a billion dollars unless they conspicuously apologise, withdraw the Panorama episode and compensate him. I imagine he will end up settling out of court. There are many reasons to be critical of President Trump or of Elon Musk, but both have done something great for Britain, their ancestral nation. They have compelled this collapsing, woke, semi-dictatorship to confront the evils within: the grooming gangs and, with the help of The Daily Telegraph, a national broadcaster that makes Pravda seem truthful. It is these men, not Sir Ed Davey and his woke fellow travellers, who are the “patriotic” Brits.

Great article! Hopefully, it would have a domino effect, and leap to America. 🙃
This reminds of how NBC edited the 911 call George Zimmerman made about Trayvon Martin to make Zimmerman look racist. Zimmerman was describing how the guy he was following looked like he was up to good, looked like he was on drugs, etc. At that point the 911 operator asks, “Is he white, black, or Hispanic?” Zimmerman answers, “He looks black.”
NBC cut out the operator’s question to have Zimmerman say, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.” They got caught doing it, too, but I’m unaware of anyone there losing his job over it. Because in America, of course, no one at any of these institutions ever gets sacked for doing something wrong.
Nick Sandmann successfully sued one or more big media companies for lying about him and attempting to ruin his life. More of this.
These people live in their rotting box of ‘values’. This festering box of cosmopolitan sensibilities and privilege, unexamined Jew worshiping, yet I doubt their audience is particularly young.
A lot of these shows up end up streamed on YouTube so they can have a wider audience, but does anyone younger than 50 even watch television anymore? Television, especially stuff like the BBC is strictly for boomers or older. It’s now a remnant to scare old people. To tell them what to think about Orange Hitler, right wing thugs marching, covid, whatever.
I think the BBC’s trick over the years, is what’s described here, to continually push things as far to the radical left as possible (as long as that doesn’t clash with anything Jewish) then claiming that position is the unbiased neutral one. It’s a nice trick and it probably worked for quite a while on a lot of people at one time. Now it’s ridiculous. But they won’t give that up easily. Giving that up means the end. They will keep clinging to this line.
This is one of those things that people should just keeping chipping away at. Hack it down like a twisted dead tree that’s taken the shape of a monster. It may take a while but it’s worth it. The BBC is a political abomination that the plug should be pulled on, but it’s very entwined with global affairs, probably very tied up with intelligence and definitely this USAID style of doing things, propagating leftist crap around the world to cause chaos.
Only suckers pay to watch TV. It’s all lies and “woke” propaganda. It’s the Electric Jew. Instead of TV propaganda, you can get the truth from the Internet. That’s why the Left wants to censor it.
Like all communists, the Left hate free speech and they hate the truth. That’s why they celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The Left wants to censor the truth, such as the color of crime. But not porn. The Left likes porn, especially hard-core porn. They don’t want to censor any porn. Porn is jewish “free speech”.
Yes indeed. I said ‘left’, but it’s not really an authentic left wing instinct, to help the poor, or something like that. It’s this top down corporate progressive activism-as-disruptive-moral-shield perpetual revolution with a bioleninist army to enforce it. There’s nothing grassroots about it at all. It’s this inflicted revolutionary chaos by elites, where the big winners are always Jews. It’s horrible. You couldn’t design worse monster than the BBC
This article reinforces my positive reaction to the election of Trump in November 2024. The freaks, perverts and commies in the BBC tried to steal the election for Kamala Harris (a leftwing extremist). They have now been caught out and publicly humiliated. Their only response is to lie about it, and to double down on their lies.
Every BBC journalist should be fired, without pay, benefits or pensions. Cancel the £180 for annual television licence. Close the BBC forever. Sell its assets for whatever the market will pay.
The BBC has a pidgin English website for crying out loud. Its bias has been evident for quite a long time.
The pidgin is unintentional comedy genius. I show it to my friends sometimes and its a hoot to read aloud. I considered petitioning Jim Goad’s karaoke venture to read a few of these articles in a “pidgin voice” but could never decide which ones.
Welcome to Counter- Currents Mr. Dutton
He’s the Jolly Heretic guy, right?
Yes . And a great writer at Vdare
