Nationalism This Week
You Get What You Chimp For

Greg Johnson

2,077 words

1. Common-Sense Troon Control

On Wednesday, August 27, 23-year-old Robert Westman, a male transexual who changed his name to Robin, opened fire on a Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Two children were killed and 17 other victims were wounded, most of them children. Then the troon shot himself.

Westman is only the most recent troon mass shooter.

The mainstream commentary is astonishing.

“Another psychotic troon mass killing! White males and gun culture to blame!”

“Christian children massacred in church. Jews most effected!”

If you are in a mood to troll gun control advocates, now is the perfect time to propose that they join hands with people on the Right to demand that transexualism be added to the list of mental illnesses that disqualify people to own legal firearms.

Why would they refuse? After all, it would reduce the number of gun owners. Gun controllers are fond of chipping away slowly at gun rights. Why would they refuse this opportunity?

Westman, like other troon shooters, left a “manifesto.” He also painted more than 100 slogans on his weapons, including:

“Kill Donald Trump”
“Kill Trump Now!”
“Kill Donald Trump RIP & TEAR”
“Israel must fall”
“Burn Israel”
“6 million wasn’t enough”
“For the Children”
“Where is your God?”
“Psycho killer”
“Suck on this!”
“Jew Gas” (on a smoke grenade)
“Defend Equality” (alongside an LGBTQ flag)

In addition, he included the names of mass shooters:

“Thank God for Breivik”
“Adam Lanza”
“Robert Bowers”
“Natalie Rupnow”
“Brenton Tarrant”

Apparently, Westman had an account on VK, the Russian social media platform, which explains why he wrote some of his inscriptions in Cyrillic. This should be seriously investigated.

So, was Westman a wignat and a Zigger? Could he have been a Groyper? Sadly, there is a space on the extremely online Right where racism and anti-Semitism overlap with Putinism, transsexualism, and school shooters.

But we don’t know yet if Westman was ideologically “radicalized” or if he was just a psychopath drawn to violent, crazy, antisocial personalities and ideas. Adam Lanza, for instance, was not political or trans. He was just a nutcase who murdered kids. But Westman’s other heroes—even Natalie Rupnow—overlapped with the Right.

My gut is telling me, though, that Westman was not the kind of person who has ideas. He was the kind of person who has symptoms. Meaning that he embraced and discarded ideas for essentially neurotic reasons, rather than sincere belief in their truth or falsehood. Given his transsexualism, Westman was very probably a toxic narcissist. He was seeking recognition by creating “online content” for his peers. Unfortunately, that profile doesn’t exactly absolve our broader movement. In fact, it basically describes a lot of leading and former “content creators.”

Even if the worst case scenario is true, however, nationalist ideas are too widespread now to be shut down by the antics of the freak fringe. Even a couple of years ago, that was not true.

Naturally, every time a mass shooting takes place, Alex Jones-style liars spring into action. The two most widespread lies are that Westman was Jewish and that this is a US government false flag or psyop. (The latter could be true. But none of the people sounding off on it know it. They’re just liars selling a narrative.)

Candace Owens, for instance, claimed that Westman’s rampage was engineered to advance gun control and to distract us from other issues, such as the story of a little Scottish girl, Lola, confronting a migrant with a knife and an axe.

Side note: Alex Jones and Candace Owens are Putin supporters. So of course, they have no thoughts on Westman’s Russian connection. Only the US government is under suspicion.

2. Scotland’s Joan of Arc

This week, the whole internet saw a viral video of a little Scottish girl named Lola brandishing a hatchet and knife at migrants (Bulgarian gypsies). A thousand memes and a million takes were born. Lola claims that the gypsies had menaced her sister with sexually inappropriate comments and physical violence.

The video was made by the gypsies themselves, taunting Lola to show them her weapons. This clearly indicates that they expected the media and political establishment to side with them.

Note: You aren’t a helpless victim when you can count on the whole power structure aligning with you.

The gypsies were right: the police visited Lola first.

This is a textbook example of what Sam Francis called “Anarcho-Tyranny”: the traitorous British state promotes crime by importing criminals, then punishes white people who defend themselves.

Many people have drawn parallels between the modern United Kingdom and the early Soviet Union as described by Alexander Solzhenitsyn: “Your punishment for having a knife when they searched you would be very different from the thief’s. For him to have a knife was mere misbehavior, tradition, he didn’t know any better. But for you to have one was ‘terrorism.’”

Side note: If Bulgarian gypsies are now “just as Scottish as Lola” simply by residing there, then Europe’s gypsy population can be “just as Indian as Modi,” simply by being repatriated to India someday. If people who have no roots in Britian can become British, then surely Gypsies can successfully be returned to the subcontinent, from which they departed more than a millennium ago. Let’s make rootlessness and globalization work for white people, for a change.

Of course, there is never any shortage of people on the Right selling terrible takes on such events. The worst was Andrew Wilson on X, who seems to have a chip on his shoulder directed at women, claiming that this girl deserved it because women tend to vote for liberal policies. The notion that women, the Scottish, or anyone voted for mass migration and anarcho-tyranny is laughable. “We were never asked” is a meme because it’s a fact. On both sides of the Atlantic, virtually all politicians and parties have systematically betrayed their voters on immigration. Voting has had little to no effect on immigration in what Martin Sellner aptly describes as a “democracy simulation” which is quickly breaking down. And twelve-year-old girls don’t vote at all.

Another disgusting trend was the American chauvinist “Britain has fallen” posts, preening about American manliness and guns.

Of course, all white people are pretty much in the same boat when it comes to hostile governments and race replacement. Thus there are two basic responses to events like this.

First, you can be “big” and express your sympathy and solidarity with the victims, whose plight points to the need for systemic, revolutionary change. This approach has two virtues. It is based on reality and contributes to white solidarity in the face of common enemies.

Second, you can be “small” and use this as an opportunity for preening about your country’s superiority. Aside from being an asshole take, this position is wrong because it is based on delusions (the US is fundamentally no better off than the UK), and it undermines white solidarity in the face of common enemies.

Go big or shut up.

3. Shiloh Hendrix Charged

Shiloh Hendrix became the Joan of Arc for negro-fatigued Americans when she caught a Somalian child at a playground stealing from her diaper bag. She called the child a nigger, which is a word he probably hears every day in his community.

Shiloh was then filmed by another Somali, a sex offender no less, who just happened to be hanging around a children’s playground. As with the Bulgarian gypsies in Scotland, this lowlife wished to play the victim while assuming that the entire political and cultural establishment would side with him and pile on Shiloh to “cancel” her.

To her credit, Shiloh did not back down, flipping him a bird that was seen around the world.

To my delight, white people who had enough came together to defend Shiloh. More than $800,000 in donations were raised to help her relocate. Apparently, she moved out of state and bought a house and some land, far away from diversity.

Now, all these months later, the Rochester, Minnesota City Attorney Michael Spindler-Krage has charged Shiloh Hendrix with three counts of disorderly conduct. If convicted, she faces a fine of up to $1,000 or up to 3 months in jail.

Minnesota Statute Section 609.72(1)(c) defines disorderly conduct as offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous, or noisy conduct or offensive, obscene, or abusive language tending reasonably to arouse alarm, anger, or resentment in others.

Sounds like life in the hood.

These are white standards of behavior that are never enforced on blacks. Charging Shiloh is obviously two-tier policing, based on anti-white animus.

The charges were brought this late probably because the city attorney caved to pressure. There’s a good chance that public outcry can force him to cave the other way. Time to start chimping.

4. MAGA Chimps vs. MAGA Whisperers

Donald Trump routinely sells out his base: on immigration, on foreign policy, on the Epstein scandal. Whenever a new betrayal takes place, a large segment of the online Right chimps out – while various paid influencers whom I call the MAGA Whispers try to calm the chimps down and keep them on the MAGA reservation. “Forget Epstein. The really important thing is mass deportations.”

The MAGA chimp strategy has been proven correct again.

Just this week, Trump again announced plans to more than double the number of Red Chinese student visas from 275,000 to 600,000.

This is obviously bad for white Americans and good for the Red Chinese.

Every Red Chinese national in America should be treated as a potential spy. One Red Chinese student, Yunhai Li, was just charged this week with espionage and theft of trade secrets regarding the cancer research he was working on. In early July, Kash Patel announced that the FBI had caught two Chinese nationals spying on the US Navy and trying to recruit American service members.

Even if a Chinaman doesn’t want to spy, he has family back home in the hands of the Chinese regime, which he fears more than getting caught by the US government.

Howard Lutnik explained that without these students, the bottom 15% of colleges in America would close down. Of course, none of these Chinese would be aiming for the bottom 15%. They’d be aiming for the top. The bottom 15% would be sustained by 600K mostly white Americans squeezed out by Chinese interlopers. This isn’t America first.

Higher education is one of the citadels of the Left. Thus it is ironic that Trump is coming to their rescue. Frankly, if 15% of colleges went out of business, that would not be a bad thing. If employers were empowered to hire based simply on IQ tests, a lot more colleges would go broke. Good riddance.

The last time Trump announced 600K visas for Red Chinese students, MAGA chimped, and the plan was dropped. So of course MAGA chimped again, and again the plan was dropped. Let’s chimp a little more and get rid of Lutnik, so this disgusting sellout does not come back a third time.

5. Cracker Barrel Cracks

White Nationalists shouldn’t spend our limited resources on culture war causes like corporate logos. But if other people do it and succeed, I will applaud them.

When Cracker Barrel announced plans to exchange its distinctive logo of a white man next to a barrel for something soulless and bland, white Americans smelled wokeness and began chimping. Well, they got what they chimped for. Cracker Barrel reversed course.

Unlike some, I don’t dismiss this as a frivolous distraction.

In fact, I thought it was a great victory.

First, there was no real downside. Cracker Barrel is a soulless corporation serving slop. If they stuck to the new logo, it isn’t really a defeat, because nothing important would have been lost. We could have spun it as a frivolous troll and forgotten about it. But the fact that Cracker Barrel cracked is a genuine victory.

Second, it prepares the ground for more campaigns, etc. We need to build a cancel culture of the Right. Polling by the Homeland Institute, which I founded, showed that over two fifths of white voters are less likely to support a business that is accused of being “woke,” and that over a quarter would boycott a woke business even if they had to drive an extra mile or pay 10% more.

But white people aren’t good at chimping. They need lots of practice, preferably on unchallenging targets, in campaigns that are all upside, before they can graduate to more significant battles. I see the Battle for Cracker Barrel as training wheels for our people. I’d like to see more boycotts and pressure campaigns, especially on more substantive issues.

There is no evidence that the MAGA base will be content with mere logo changes and quit the battle for more important matters. An army in motion tends to stay in motion. The same is true of a political movement.

Yes, take the win on Cracker Barrel. This is Bud Lite repeat (sorta). But do not stop the Cracker Barrel boycott until the woke-White liberals driving the anti-White brand campaign are Skidded.

On item 1, I’ve seen a couple of weaksauce leftist memes about that.  The first pointed out the shooter’s politically incorrect statements, but not the stuff that doesn’t fit The Narrative – like being a female impersonator, for one thing.  It went on to claim that White people are the number one source of violence in the USA.  That’s a lot of crap; I know what the FBI statistics say.  Even in raw numbers alone, Blacks are about 50% in the violent crime category, some years a little more.  Meanwhile, they’re 1/8 of the population, while we’re around 5/8 now.  Who’s the problem again?

When I see liberal goofballs taken in by that stuff, I feel so sad that their math teachers let them down so that they can’t discern even the most basic sleight-of-hand in statistics.  It’s like “A survey says that 90% of murderers use soap, therefore soap causes murder.”

I have a feeling that most of them really are dumb enough to believe in their own BS.  Worse, they don’t realize that, for the most part, the precious minorities they’re shilling for have nothing but contempt for them.  Even South Africa still has self-effacing white leftist bozos who haven’t yet taken a hint.

I don’t believe that they believe it. I’ve had too many experiences where liberal coworkers and acquaintances are horrified to take the subway to the black part of town, tense up in fear when a black person is walking towards them, do not even consider the possibility of sending their children to public school, etc. My general experience is that I, as a white nationalist, am both friendlier to and less afraid of random blacks than the average liberal. Their lives make a mockery of their purported values.

I notice that some American whites, who have had contact with only West Indian blacks, think the world of them, and therefore think well of blacks in general. These are well-off, isolated, gated-community types, who rarely if ever see American blacks like Daquan and Jeehad. The opposite is true in Merrie Old, where the bad blacks are Windrush from Jamaica.

I think the reason is that higher-class Jamaicans immigrated to the US, and made our ghetto blacks look like shit in comparison.

I clearly remember when a teacher at my newly integrated elementary school told us that more White people were on welfare than black people.  She produced this little nugget of deception under the guise of boosting our very negative perceptions of the rowdy, threatening clearly alien black students we were forced into coexistence with.  This, mind you, when the country was still over 80% White. I remember knowing, instinctively, that it couldn’t be true; but as a second-grader, I didn’t know the term “per capita” yet. Some people, apparently, still don’t!

“Only the US government is under suspicion”

That is precisely what conspiracy culture is all about. Without an American establishment to fear, loathe and cast as the villain, these people wouldn’t even know WHAT to believe.

There is something perverse about making a negative myth about your own nation central to your identity …
What is the “Deep State” but America’s goverment re-imagined as a dark conspiracy? What is the “Military-Industrial-Complex” other than a pseudo-Marxist metaphor for America’s industrial and military power?
Opposing your own nation’s establishment (Rockefellers, Yale), economic success (“corporate power”), political power (“American Empire”), foundational secret society (Freemasonry) and even space agency (“Dark Mission”) – means that your relationship to the greater whole you’re part of is broken. In other words, conspiracy culture is very much a child of the 60s, a product of the Counter Culture and darker, Trotzkyite currents of that era (LaRouche movement).

The crucial error committed by the conspiracy crowd is that they only look in one direction and systematically excuse the faults of America’s (internal & external) enemies with reference to the axiomatic villainy of the US of A.
This way, every real conspiracy by the Left or any immigrant mafia AGAINST the American nation, its culture and founding stock, is magically transformed into a conspiracy by reactionary forces that can be traced back to Colonial times.

It’s bizarre – these folks truly believe that the same people who were in charge in 1900 are still in charge now. They’ve missed the entire plot of the 20th century, the changing demographics, the competition between newcomers and natives, the role new technologies of mass media played in this metapolitical battle and finally, the effective takeover of the nation and its transformation into something Leftist radicals from 1900 would find extreme.

Interesting, never thought about it that way. I’ve always thought conspiracies were more of a personal thing related to the conspiracy discoverer.  It’s a way for the discoverer to do no work or investigation or thinking but act as “seers”.  My favorite thing to do to needle them , when I’m feeling sinister, is to dismiss someone like Donald trump as a hologram. “Oh…you think he’s real, aww?!?! Poor you!”

I travel a lot, in the south, for work. I must confess that Cracker Barrel has always been a go-to place to eat when I’m on the road and tired of Mexican, fried chicken, steak, Chinese, or pasta places. American restauranteurs overload their menus with cheap carbohydrates and serve very limited healthy vegetable options, but Cracker Barrel does at least offer some decent vegetables.

Even in the Deep South, it is difficult to find a genuine home-cooking diner that isn’t overrun with or operated by negroes. So there’s always a Cracker Barrel within 15 minutes of a medium to large town.

Having said that, there’s been something really jarring about Cracker Barrel in the last 10 or so years. At one time, they were the antithesis of woke. They even had a company policy aimed at employing only heteronormative people. Of course back in the late 2000s when the “intersectional feminism” BS started rising on sites like Jezebel and Tumblr, they were pressured into caving. The crazy thing is how far gone they became. There’s this phenomenon of when a staunchly conservative ran company decides to change to appease the left, it doesn’t just go so far and stop, it goes all the way and then some. That’s what happened to Cracker Barrel.

Imagine how out of place it is to come sit down at a Cracker Barrel in Jackson, MS and your server is a 6 foot tall, 300 pound gay black man with disgusting dreadlocks and lipstick and nail polish. You’re there to get away from the traffic, sit down in a familiar place, and be surrounded by implicitly white motifs and decor. And then this monstrosity serves your food (half assed anyway). Once they started catering to the leftist mob, the leftist cancer took over.

I’ve joined the boycott. All it takes is doing a little deeper digging to find local establishments to give my money. I’d much rather even give my money to an honest mom and pop black establishment that doesn’t operate with open hostility. There’s a sawdust on the floor type barbecue place in Louisiana that I know of that is operated by a black man, but local working class white guys are regulars, and the TV in the dining area is always tuned into classic TV show channels instead of Niggerball or MSNBC.

To add to my above comment, the Cracker Barrel backlash is a case study in corporate antiwhitism.

Dare I say that if you could go back in time, say 25 years, there would be few, if any, images of black people or tributes to black cultural heritage in the old-timey decor. Maybe an incidental black and white picture with a black man standing in the background, but nothing placed in an obvious way to virtue signal.

If course there weren’t any KKK cross burning pictures or paintings. No nooses hanging from the rafters. Nothing to express “niggers not allowed or wanted”. Nothing indicating anything hostile towards blacks. Just motifs that were fully intended to be welcoming to the white southern patrons that enjoyed their food.

Now, one can’t help but notice the images of black men circa 1890s photographs wearing business suits and hats. Jazz music saxophones and decor hanging above the hearth instead of bluegrass banjos. A photo of a blues musician with his guitar leaning against a 40s model car. At least 20% of the decor has gone woke in the last ten years.

Black owned business get heralded and praised for existing. We can’t even have the slightest hint of white identity tied to the slightest thing.

Counter arguments here. China is likely to be the next hegemon. The basic data and the meta historical trends show that they are on an unstoppable upswing.

China was hegemon up until the Dutch displaced them. Then the British displaced the Dutch by way of defeating France and Spain in what I would call the Long War between Roman Catholicism and Northern Protestantism. The Dutch folded into the British Pax. Then the Germans and Italians challenged that Pax Britannica and the US picked up the Imperium.

The Chinese are back. The only question is quite how the US is going to slip up. Does it go down like Britain in a war with Germany? Or does it directly go down in a confrontation with China?

The managerial dilemma facing American policy makers is of the most important kind because it also determines the trajectory and or termination of white power. The Dutch could shrug about Britain taking over and the British could shrug as the Americans were English speaking and largely ethnic Britons.

letting the chinks take over is another magnitude of problem. Either we welcome in Chinese students and hope these students eventually integrate  in some way politically or we exclude them and get ready to smash China to bits.

Do they also have pictures of blacks in Confederate uniforms? Just kidding, unless the South is crazier than I thought. There has been this weird insistence in this century by some “heritage” types that there were significant contributions to the CSA armies by organized black Confederate troops, similar to the United States Colored Troops. This is obviously false, and ridiculous, but too many are deluded, by something, who knows what it is. They want blacks to like them, and want blacks to be their heroes.

      Fair question.

This kind of myth springs from some truths, as most myths do.

There is a city in Mississippi called Natchez. At one time, it was the wealthiest city in the South. It is one of the best destinations in America if you want to see antebellum homes and historic places.

In the old downtown district there is a mansion that was owned by free black man who was a successful barber ( likely mulatto born into slavery) named William Johnson who owned slaves himself (yes, a black who owned blacks).
This is an example of a factual historical point that can be misconstrued into make belief  that there were a lot of free black men in the south who supported the institution of slavery.
Yet, it’s a fact, he existed, and there is something in that fact that shouldn’t be dismissed.

Not all blacks were (badly) mistreated as slaves. (Chattel slavery is immoral but it was rationalized in the context of the times)  Not all blacks hated their owners. Not all of them saw the position they were in as unjust. They often worked right alongside white share croppers who endured similar hardships, albeit the hardships of a free poor person and not a slave.

So no, there wasn’t an organized black resistance to the Union as Confederates. But that doesn’t mean every black was a revolutionary making his way through the Underground Railroad.

I agree, these anecdotes can sometimes be attributed to people desperately seeking common ground with black people. Common ground that few blacks seek, and those who do only do so for the same naive reasons as their white counterparts. Blacks aren’t carrying olive branches with them to give to white men who kiss their asses.

I recently made this comment but it bares repeating: slavery was/is primarily a Black-on-Black thing, not a White-on-Black thing, as they would have you think. Furthermore, it is occurring still to this day in some places in Africa, as is revealed by an African scholar in this YouTube clip. He goes on to explain at some point that there were some African societies, in the Middle Ages, in which there were White slaves.

I have not yet read Kevin Levin’s book about Black Confederates, but I had read his extensive blog entries for years about the book. Levin is a jew, of course, but his research and observations about the delusional nature of the modern Confederate larpers who desperately want to be seen as modern-day civic nationalists, by “adopting” blacks as Confederate soldiers, strike true.

The Confederacy did finally decide to enlist Blacks, but a month later, the war was over.  I’m not sure what kind of basic training they were getting, but it doesn’t seem like they had the opportunity to do much by then.

“The Confederacy did finally decide to enlist Blacks”

Really? I know that Pat Cleburne, the Irish general from Arkansas, proposed enlisting slaves as soldiers in return for granting their freedom in November 1864 or somewhere near the end, but he was shouted down by everyone in the Confederacy including Lee. Even if the CSA did have an order to enlist blacks in 1865, it would be paper only. They were fighting for their national existence, and no one could be spared to organize and implement such a top-heavy negro-arming program.

But the Black Confederate boosters think that showing that white kid who took a picture of himself early in the war in a portrait studio with his personal slave by his side, both in uniform and both brandishing knives, means that there were any black Confederate soldiers. The slave wearing a uniform was like dressing up a dog for Halloween. It’s funny that in that famous photo, the black’s knife is conspicuously shorter than his master’s.

    Edit to earlier comment:

Thinking back, it was fourth-grade; not second.  It was just at that age of dawning awareness, when we start to become aware of, and form our opinions of, the social world around us.  The young mind is ripe for the molding, and is introduced to a course called “Social Studies”, with the intention of installing the default Liberalism which many never manage to shake off.

I really appreciate and enjoy this new weekly roundup at Counter-Currents.

white people aren’t good at chimping. They need lots of practice

I’m also thinking we are no good as advocating for white interests probably because we’ve dominated the world and it’s kinda embarrassing and low to now do what “minorities “ have been doing. But I don’t see any other way.

great light hearted takes in the article but with serious message; well done

    gotta drop this in here

Turns out the van that wrecked into the Sikh truck driver’s trailer was full of Haitian migrants.

Gotta admit, I did question in the back of my mind how fast that van appeared to be going in relation to the maneuver the driver was attempting. Dumbass Indian or not, he would have slowed down before making the U-turn. He started the U-turn from the slow lane, and proceeded to cross at least one other lane of traffic and by the time the van hit, his cab was across the median of the highway. I’m guessing that was at least a 5 second maneuver once he committed to doing the U-turn. Haitian or not, the driver was a victim of circumstance due to a careless act on the Sikh’s part. However, did this van’s driver even know he was running into the trailer? Was he looking at his phone? Turning to talk to the passengers? Was he speeding? (These are questions we should ask even if it wasn’t a van full of Haitian migrants).
But to get to the point of examining the Haitian driver, I am fairly confident that a white person would have had the sense to serve to the right and go off in the ditch or the shoulder of the highway rather than hitting the trailer head on.
