Within political parties, we have a tendency to assume that most people who share a party have essentially the same values, but upon closer inspection, we find that this is often not the case. Chuck Schumer has major differences with AOC, Donald Trump has major differences with Thomas Massie, etc.
Some Americans who don’t understand European politics think that AfD, the ultranationalist political party in Germany, is too soft because the leader is not just a woman but a lesbian in an interracial relationship (Alice Weidel, co-chairwoman of AfD is married to a Sri Lankan woman). And yet, at the regional level, there are ethnonationalists like Stephan Brandner throughout the ranks. Perhaps the interracial lesbian is a necessary concession so Germany doesn’t outright ban them from elections. Yes, they are allowed to do this in Europe, a noxious concept to Americans. Just look at what happened to the nationalist presidential candidate Călin Georgescu in Romania.
One of the more debilitating features of the white identity movement in the United States is that there is no real coherent organization. Sure, lots of niche personality cults come and go but there isn’t any pretense that any of those groups represents the majority of “the movement.” NJP rose and fell on the strength of Mike Enoch’s charisma. Thomas Rousseau is essential as the cult figure in Patriot Front. There could be no NJP without Enoch and no Patriot Front without Rousseau and the vast majority who don’t follow either men are excluded entirely. Likewise, there are no Groypers without Nick Fuentes and on and on.
A party structure makes politics real. You have a definite organizational structure, rules, and at least one goal, which is more than we have now: to get elected. With defined roles comes expectations that people will have a degree of reliability and keep rules and hold regular meetings. There is a fatal tendency in white identity politics to either “purity spiral”, aka punching the moderate members of a coalition, or “optics cucking”, aka attacking the more radical elements. But as we can see in the example of AfD above, when there are adults in the room they can set aside differences for the greater good. The art of obtaining power in a representative democracy requires pragmatism and compromise.
Perhaps there are some differences which are too great to resolve, like the chasm between conservatives and liberals that exists in “the movement.” Those who would support Democrats after all they’ve done to whites may be too far off the reservation.
Even parties that are not successful in electing candidates can draw the public attention to their areas of concern. By publicly advocating values they are normalized within the body politic. Many people who spend no time on social media echo chambers where right wing politics flourishes will see interviews and news stories from a political candidate. It will start real conversations within the public.
The current environment is a virtual Wild West. Everyone for himself. Campaigns are incredibly inefficient and lack resources because no one has the numbers or coordination to get anything done. Lawless chaos emboldens truly bad behavior. Even those who accommodate pedophiles or make a habit of pathological lying receive no punishment. Who can punish those who submit to no authority and live only to serve themselves?
Nationalists online tend to treat each other wretchedly. It’s like children run amok without a parent or teacher around. They start developing into children from Lord of the Flies, destroying one another. As far as this movement is concerned, the “adults in the room” are too meek and not assertive or ambitious enough. Someone needs to bring order to the chaos!
There is at least one reason for concern about creating a formal organizational structure: the threat of legal action. As we have seen in the vexatious litigation against Unite the Right organizers and the endless investigation into the VDARE castle, dragging political dissidents into court can be very damaging. In the Charlottesville case, there was a conspiracy allegation. It is much easier to claim conspiracy among people who are in the same organization. The jury instructions in that trial told jurors that you could be in a conspiracy with people you’ve never spoken to, agreed on anything with, or even know exist. When you are a political dissident, especially one labeled a “racist,” every single thing that can possibly go against you in court will because everyone in that courtroom, including the judge and his law clerks, hate your guts. In the case of VDARE, they have never actually been accused of any civil or criminal impropriety but have been bled of millions of dollars to comply with subpoenas from New York AG Leticia James.
I can’t sugarcoat it. This is a significant impediment, one that has been trotted out to great success against white identity groups for generations. The flaw in their methods is that they can only do this to you one time before you are aware of their game. Once there is one judgment, you’re essentially immune to any that follow since one creditor cannot leapfrog another. Many of the defendants in the Charlottesville trial are still young men with their entire lives to teach others about how to avoid legal entrapment.
Here are my recommendations:
- Of course, the first rule should always be to faithfully abide by the law, to the greatest extent possible. Unfortunately, there are so many damn obscure laws, like the previously unused statutes levied against Unite the Right protesters, that any prosecutor can, “find a crime” once they’ve identified a target.
- The organization should be a legally distinct entity. This should theoretically shield the assets of individual members.
- But you can never count on the “usual” things when you are a white dissident. The powers that be will make an exception to screw you over if they can.
- So choose leaders from people who know the risks and are still willing to shoulder the burden. There are many passionate advocates of the white cause who don’t really have very much money or assets so they are “judgment proof.” This was the case with many of the Unite the Right defendants who were sued. Nothing has been collected from anyone.
- Take great pains to maintain the anonymity of your financial donors, to the extent possible by law. The longer an organization is able to maintain such privacy the more trust it will develop.
Ultimately, any cause requires sacrifice and risk-taking, especially when it is bleeding edge new. Using a political campaign structure would make white identity politics more impactful and successful than it is now so people should step up or simply admit that it is just an amateur hobby they do not care so much about.
A long time ago, I volunteered for a political campaign. It was filled with young Type A go-getters. They set up a storefront on the Charlottesville downtown mall and anyone who wished to support them could give money or volunteer their time. The volunteers were often organized into groups which would contact voters, either in person or over the phone. In this internet-obsessed age, younger generations might not even be aware of how few people are actually paying attention to the conversation online and how many can only be reached in person or over the phone.
Even the elderly and disabled can sit in a comfy chair drinking soda and calling voters. This would be an excellent way to campaign, not just for candidates, but also for issues. It would be an excellent way to meet donors. It would create rules and structures of professionalism so activists can be trained by adults instead of schizophrenic autists on 4Chan. We need people who can interface with the real world and that means being polite and presentable, not name-calling from an anonymous account online.
Fielding candidates for elections cultivates leadership talent in ways that white identity politics is not currently capable of. Focusing a team effort on one individual creates team building skills. And yet, unlike the cult of personalities that flourish now there is no one candidate. New talent will always be given the opportunity. That is a major difference with the personality cult model.
Every member of the campaign will get out and speak to real people. What we have now is the opposite: antisocial anonymous weirdos in dingy cum-stained apartments talking trash to people who agree with them on 99% but have one percent difference. They have no idea what appeals to common people. They use language that you could only get away with as long as your name isn’t attached to it and you aren’t within punching distance.
Only when the white identity lobby is able to elect candidates, will it have fully arrived in the mainstream of American politics.

For instance – the comments section of “The Daily Stormer” a few years ago with individuals holding multiple accounts, pretending to be different people; engaging in gratuitous and unprovoked name-calling vendettas from the other side of the world against people either trying to make constructive suggestions, or merely expressing their disagreement with some provocatively outrageous comment.
Really fantastic idea to use old school symbols with exactly Mussolini design, I’m sure that will be a winner with the masses and attract only healthy, sober minded people.
I couldn’t agree more! The hour is late; there’s really no time to lose; we have to accept help from whatever quarter and disregard the effeminate, precious qualms of status-driven normies. Just think; perhaps in as little as five years from now, magnificent victory parades will be held in all the capital cities of the European diaspora; our beaten and humiliated enemies toppled from their thrones of complacency – forced to do degrading menial labour whilst we revel in and savour that which truly belongs to us.

After observing the rises, collapses or vegetative afterlives of American white identity movements, I would add to the observations in the article that it’s relatively easier to build dissident organizations due to the differences in political culture. Germany is a bit special case as it’s still operating under American-imposed postwar system of paranoid vigilance against any “anti-constitutional” movements which forces any legitimate opposition movement to maintain cadres and messaging that can’t fully embrace the “anti-system”, but at the same to avoid becoming completely co-opted and neutered.
In places like Poland it’s still easier to start and maintain a legitimate movement with harsher rhetoric without fear of becoming litigated to death. Part of that stems from the aforementioned culture which selects for more stable members as the most pathological elements are usually isolated and find themselves on the complete fringes. Many young activists are often students well-versed in history of political thought and the internal discourse (outside the social media) is often regulated according to the rules of politeness and honest discussion.
European countries, despite developing their own mainstream party cartels are still bound by tradition to maintain at least an illusion of multi-party democracy which provides a breathing space for those who manage to squeeze their way in. Even despite the hate-speech laws (brought up ad-nauseam by American commentariat), the advocacy for European peoples is still easier to run on the Continent (Britain is an exception, due to its separate Anglo-Saxon political culture) as long as activist temper their language to remain within the accepted bounds of discourse. The latest case in Romania is a combined result of war-hysteria (which justify the “fortification” of democracy against Putin) and the mafia-like oligarchic political systems that dominate the Balkan countries.
J.K., the several articles of yours that I’ve read display a rare and refreshing maturity for this sphere; you’re a real asset.
I’ve concluded that being “extremely online” is no longer an option for anyone who would have a healthy, normal offline life, as that has been historically understood.
The problem is deceptively simple: if one is the type of person no one wants as a neighbor, no one wants what he’s selling, either.

The easiest thing to do is lay back and allow business as usual.
But by doing that, political factions with more coherent structure will always be able to capitalize on political developments in ways we cannot.

Those few of us blessed with high time preference thinking, wits and tenacity cana nd should be doing better.
Political parties are run with lists full of legally identifiable information, generous bug donors who dictate everything while allowing only a hypocritical facade of democracy, and hidden agendas that conflict with expressed values and that are bad for Whites.

For too long the movement, especially in the English-speaking world has put up with willfully anti-social types on the basis of “beggars can’t be choosers”. These people enjoy making others feel uncomfortable and have been indulged and promoted by unscrupulous, selfish senior movement activists as it broadens their base of influence and puts money in their pockets. We need to build a modern forward-looking movement.

You do have to make some compromises with others to move forward in mainstream politics.
Yes, there has to be some element that acts as one for some higher goal. You can’t just win by edgy tweets from basements and individuals doing livestreams.
But there have been risks with organizations in the past as Jason points out. And the system won’t treat them fairly at all.
I don’t have the answers.
In terms of online resources, rather than our people trying to own some purple haired libtard on Twitter it might be better to try to persuade people like Musk and Trump and his circle on various issues like Keith did. Even something mundane,like the right for white people to organize and lobby, which on paper is there, but in practice is not. Obviously Musk is open to some of it. We want to make the environment, for whatever white activists do, as friendly as possible, instead this hostile booby trapped maze which it has been.
Yes, we need a political party, led by moral well adjusted people. The American Freedom Party almost fit the bill when it was established but they shot themselves in the foot when they selected a non-white for a key leadership position- after that, no one in the movement trusted them anymore. I agree on that point- we can have non white allies but never non white leaders, they always seem to betray the cause.
If we had something similar to the Pat Buchanan campaign from 1992, only a bit more pronounced toward pro-white advocacy, then that might work. We already have a few ‘think tanks’ of sorts to draw thoughts from (Counter-Currents, American Renaissance).
We have to elect white nationalists to office, or we are doomed. We need registered lobbyists- the fact that decades have rolled by and there have been none (?) is really telling.
We also should not drop the ‘white nationalist’ label. The other demonized words like ‘racist’ or ‘Nazi’ etc. got that way due to the enemies efforts, they won those battles and we should not allow them to win the battle to control our language and speech to the point where we cannot even speak of our cause. ‘White nationalism’ just means nations led by and for whites- nothing wrong or sinister about that.
Also- we need to simplify the message. There is too much arcane stuff within our circles. Intellectualizing has its place, but often we get lost in the weeds over things like those Kosher labels on food products, the genetic component of the peoples of the Iberian peninsula, or if Mussolini doomed the Axis by invading Greece, etc. We need a basic pro white message- whites exist, whites have value, whites are threatened…
As far as the JQ goes, a middle path seems best. It has to be acknowledged that Jews, or Jewish organizations, are a problem but they are not the cause of everything wrong. Both extreme viewpoints are not helpful- either the normies will be turned off by a perceived crude ‘antisemitism’ or the movement guys will rightfully point out that there is a big something missing from the critique. The question remains, what exactly constitutes this ‘middle’ position.

No, Dave. Long-suffering Whites have many needs but one is not the need for a political party to preserve mass democracy. I cannot speak for your debilitating “white identity movement (wim).” I do not use that term and am not a member of your movement, thank you.
However, as a strict racial separatist/preservationist and Chairman of a very “real coherent organization,” the National Alliance (NA), founded more than 50 years ago by Dr. William Pierce, before you and leaders of those come-lately losers you mention (NJP, Patriot Front, Groypers), were born, I will make sure NA is represented on Counter-Currents.
I do not expect you to acknowledge that NA is either real or coherent. It doesn’t matter if you recognize NA or if you ignore us. It may be tiny but there is still some home for pro-white whites. The Boomer population which is most pro-Zionist is fading away and the white Zoomer males are more pro-white compared to last three generations. Trump and the Republicans extreme bias towards Israel along the obvious discrimination they face in job hiring will convince many of them to be racially conscious.
