You can buy Greg Johnson’s The White Nationalist Manifesto here
1,409 words
Little Free Libraries are those little “birdhouses for books” that you usually see in high-trust white communities. The books are free, but you are supposed to leave a book for every book you take. The idea is to promote the free exchange of books and ideas. It is a lovely idea that I fully support.
Since 2023, Counter-Currents has run a promotion to encourage people to leave copies of my book The White Nationalist Manifesto in Little Free Libraries. Why not? I want people to read the book, and it is entirely within the spirit of Little Free Libraries.
Every copy of The White Nationalist Manifesto placed in a Little Free Library promotes it to however many people see it there. But sometimes the book is promoted to many more people—potentially millions—when someone contrives to be “offended” by it.
A case in point is a February 10th story from the CBC [Canadian Broadcasting Corporation] News, “White nationalist books planted in little free libraries across Ottawa,” by Faith Greco.
Copies of a book promoting white nationalist ideology have been placed in community-run library boxes in neighbourhoods in parts of Ottawa, prompting a police investigation.
Note the loaded word “planted,” which connotes illegitimacy and aggression. The books were donated. They were given freely, in the spirit of Little Free Libraries. But to the CBC, they were “planted” like bombs are planted, like fake evidence is planted, like hostile agents are planted.
Note the use of “community-run.” Little Free Libraries are entirely private entities, set out by individual property owners within the community. This weaselly use of “community-run” is intended to make what happens there a public matter, which merits a police investigation.
Christine Young found several copies earlier this month when she decided to check out a few little free libraries near her home in Barrhaven. . . .
Young, a federal government consultant, never expected to repeatedly come across the same book—one that denounces immigration, multiculturalism, advocates for a white ethnostate in which racialized communities would be classified as second class citizens.
“I just thought, ‘This can’t be what I think it is. I must be in a bad headspace,’” Young said. “Then I found a second [little library] with the exact same book.”
At first, I thought the story was a fake. In fact, I thought Christine Young was the same woman in the ubiquitous memes of the indignant feminist with her hair dyed the color of radioactive menstrual blood (to borrow a phrase from Jim Goad):
But, no, Christine Young is real. (The meme woman is real too, and is apparently a different woman than Christine Young.) It is funny to think that Christine probably primped and preened for her date with the camera.
I wonder what it is like to be a person who, when she sees something she does not like, questions the veracity of her own mind. Clearly, Christine lives in something of a bubble, where all of her ideological expectations are seamlessly fulfilled.
The book is written by an American author known for publishing works promoting white nationalist ideology.
If you look at the video version of the story, you will see the torn-up pages of the book. The book is The White Nationalist Manifesto, written by yours truly.
Oddy enough, though, neither Faith Greco nor any of the people she quotes mentions the book or the author by name. Surely that is not an accident. But an ethical journalist would not leave out such important information. I guess Faith Greco wanted to promote Christine Young as a virtuous citizen but not Greg Johnson’s The White Nationalist Manifesto, the occasion for her virtue signaling.
“I can’t believe we have white supremacists in the area. It’s disgusting,” Young said. “I got so mad, I tore up the book. I didn’t want it in my house.”
If Christine had bothered to read the book, she would have noted that a whole chapter is devoted to defending the thesis that White Nationalism is not white supremacism. Also, note that Christine destroyed the book rather than take it home. Apparently, it never occurred to her to simply leave the book for someone else.
But destroying the book was not enough: “Young reported her findings to the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), which has since launched a hate crime investigation.”
Note that the hate crime investigation is not into Christine Young, who destroyed a book out of hate. Instead, it is into the person who gave the book to the Little Free Library (who may be Christine Young herself, given that many “hate” incidents are hoaxes by attention seekers).
Giving away a book is not a crime, much less a hate crime, even in gayest Canada. So why do police forces launch such investigations? Because they are staffed with woke Leftists who believe that certain ideas ought to be illegal. Loudly investigating non-crimes is a way of intimidating the public.
“Young said she hopes police can identify whoever is responsible.” Careful what you wish for, Christine. Hate crimes hoaxers get caught all the time. (Sadly, because we live in such a censorious society, Counter-Currents has adopted a strict data non-retention policy, so I can’t just look and see if Christine Young actually ordered copies of the Manifesto.)
The story continues:
CBC found that seven out of 10 little libraries in the Barrhaven and River wards contained the text. . . .
Several of the homeowners who operate little libraries where copies of the book were found declined to speak on the record but said they had no idea the book was there.
Barrhaven West Coun. David Hill called the incident “disturbing.”
“The little libraries are a way to bring our community together, and hate certainly has no place in Barrhaven,” he said, encouraging library owners to regularly check their shelves.
“If they see garbage in there, they should throw it in the trash,” Hill said, adding that residents who come across similar material should report it to police.
Note the claim that the purpose of Little Free Libraries is to “bring our community together,” not facilitate the free exchange of books and ideas, including books and ideas that members of the community might find controversial. This is a blatant attempt to impose liberal ideological orthodoxy. Once Hill insinuates that only liberal ideas must be exchanged in Little Free Libraries, the rest follows automatically: regularly checking libraries to enforce liberal orthodoxy and calling the police to investigate thought crimes.
To further the thought crime narrative, Faith next quotes a criminologist who apparently took the trouble to actually read the book:
Barbara Perry, director of Ontario Tech University’s Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism, said the book is an attempt to normalize white nationalist ideologies. . . .
Physically distributing the book in public spaces, she said, was a strategic and “bold” choice intended to draw as much attention as possible. [Not as much attention as triggering liberals to complain about it on the CBC.] . . .
While the book does not contain “a call for outright violence” or “a call for extermination of communities,” Perry said it aims to frame far-right talking points in a more persuasive way than some of the “shock troops” of the movement.
Thank you, Dr. Perry, for this honest assessment.
Faith ends her article by quoting a black voice, Hector Addison, the founder of the African Canadian Association of Ottawa, who was “deeply concerned” by my book’s circulation. “It’s not just offensive, it’s dangerous. It fuels racism and fear in our city, and we cannot stand by and allow hate to take root in our communities. . . I’m appalled by such behaviour.” He was particularly miffed that my book was circulated during Black History Month.
“Despite the hate—whether it’s a hateful attack or speech or whatever—we are not afraid. We are stronger when we are together. . . . So we’ll continue to build Ottawa to be that multicultural city that everybody here can live in.”
The fact that Hector Addison speaks entirely in clichés was another reason why I first thought this story was some sort of spoof. But it is all too real.
I want to thank whoever is sharing The White Nationalist Manifesto with his fellow Canadians. You are doing good work. You have broken no laws. But please be careful. When in a frenzy, the libtards of Canada (like the lesbians of Berkeley) can reduce a man to a skeleton in under 30 seconds.

You would think its the Necronomicon given their reaction. It does contain forbidden truths from an ancient past that is bound to return.
I’d like to see their reaction to Jim Goad’s Negronomicon book.
Alright, “shock troops,” the jig is up.
Leftists absolutely live for this. They get a chance to grandstand and show the world how morally superior they are. Its pretty obvious at this point that practically no one on the modern left stands for free speech on principle anymore.
… and in my dream I saw a yacht named Day of the Rake at anchor in the Detroit River, and Jim Goad was standing at the bow, intoning the text through a loudspeaker for the benefit of the good people of occupied Ottawa.
The establishment fears all three of those words. Put them together into one book title and they ban it.
“Christine Young found several copies earlier this month when she decided to check out a few little free libraries near her home in Barrhaven.”
I have no doubt that when she saw the first she was so exercised that she scoured the neighborhood for more. It may well have been more exercise than she’d gotten all year.
I guess we’ll have to fund some replacements.
The triggering will continue.
I suggest putting just the dust jackets for Truth, Justice, and a Nice White Country or other particularly macro-triggering covers on the quran, soul on ice, elie weasel’s night, or franz fanon. Preferably languages other than English for black, muslim, rainbow, or jewish bonfire-worthy trash (which the screeching leftoid won’t understand nor care to skim for proper translation) couched in a provocative pro-White or NatSoc cover so they’ll rip it up or trash in a rage, and our guys could report it for hate speech. The same in reverse Marty McFly oh lala! style by couching our works in blandly unsuspecting or enticing PC-13 rated covers slick enough not the reveal the offending treasure within. Once reported to make a public fuss, if it catches on I’ll bet you’ll have more birdbox rovers probing for the White gold coins hidden in the section of fake bookshelf.
What fun it would be to plant an autographed copy of Mein Kampf in a Little Free Library near Christine Young’s house. Signed “Christy, thanks for all the fun times and your service to the Reich.”
I am sure the old Austrian painter would approve.
Ha ha, this is hilarious. I had the insight, though, that putting the manifesto in those free libraries is probably bootless. Because the number of those free libraries in a community is directly proportional to the NPR listenership of the community. In other words, they are found in very liberal places, hence most likely ineffective. And given the prevalence of cameras today, we could get in trouble for placing them. If not legal, possibly job loss or similar repercussions. That’s why I’d be scared to do it around here. (As much as I would like to.😈)
Very well written little analysis by Dr. Johnson. Scratch a liberal, find a … person who satisfies their own definition of a “fascist”.
In this case, however, I just hate to see valuable copies of such an important book trashed by totalitarian liberal scum. I agree that these placings were admirable, but not smart. Smarter would just be to put a folded xerox copy of IT’S OK TO BE WHITE in every one of these free libraries. I have these birdboxes in my libtardal area, too, but not sure their point: why not use the public library, or buy books?
They must think it’s still the “olden days” with horse and buckboard wagon. “Hitch up the horse to the wagon Clem; we got to go to town for supplies and I want to check the free little libraries before all the good books are taken.”
There’s this used bookstore where I live and I noticed the books that were in the free libraries around my neighborhood seem to wind up in there with greatly jacked up prices. Lol.
Libtards could come up with the idea of “free money boxes.” Everyone would just take what they need.
The public library could be much farther away than the Little Free. Or, it could have lousy hours that prevent working people from using it, whereas some Little Frees are open 24/7 (not all–some are in public parks or private businesses that are closed at night). I think overall the Little Frees are good. I scored all four volumes of the 1972 Powys version of the Arabian Nights at a Little Free in a public park. I never would have thought of reading it otherwise, let alone the entire thing (which I still haven’t done, 2/3 along the way).
The real boost is when libtards freak out. Yes, they did not name the book. But the story is all over X, and it is being named there.
Hat, dark glasses, park far away, a little slight of hand, and you have pretty much defeated the cameras.
I’d say to browse the books first, both to look like a “regular customer” and also because there may be a good find in there. When I spread 15 copies of White Identity around the neighborhood, I got 3 or 4 good books in exchange…
It’s true that the libraries are in neighborhoods with lots of liberals, but that also means they’re in neighborhoods with lots of white people, i.e. the target audience…
This illustrates perfectly something that makes me thoroughly sick of these pantywaist geldings who constitute most of the contemporary left. Their reaction to any Narrative Violation makes them launch into hyperbolic tirades of moldy clichés strung together. It’s all so predictable. Then in this instance, one of these pathetic creatures called the cops (do they have nothing better to do?) because somebody donated books they don’t like. “Stop the world – somebody disagrees with me!”
Then in this instance, one of these pathetic creatures called the cops (do they have nothing better to do?) because somebody donated books they don’t like. blue lives maga’s ‘heroes’ have plenty to do but jewish and muslim terrorism, swarms of criminal invaders, fentanyl trafficking, CCP spies infiltrating Canada, and jeets crashing trucks-that stuff is really hard. So Dudley Do-Wrong, Fife, and he/him’s squad of gomers would rather go after us for no-deal nothings like tweets, befitting their cowardly pathetic nature. Little boy wannabe big man syndrome with a side of rosie o’donnell commander lesbians and the required iq of a fly.
When I was a zealous-Christian teenager I used to love to sneakily place “Chick tracts” in locations where people were likely to find them. Little Free Libraries are only one of many places one can leave a copy of TWNM. Buy some copies, get creative, and have fun with it!
I have been thinking for years we need our own Chick tracts. They are certainly lurid but compelling. I loved their tract showing witches at work recording rock albums. We need a A.Wyatt Mann White Nationalist Manifesto Chud Tract
Absolutely!
That’s a great idea. I would send money for this if Counter-currents ordered new Chick tracts by A. Wyatt Mann.
Remember, Counter-Currents will fund copies for this kind of thing. Buy one, get up to five free, while funds last…
I must be “dating” myself or otherwise exhibiting my pop culture ignorance, but what is a “Chick tract”? I would have thought that referred to Jackie Collins or Danielle Steele (“women’s romance”) books.
Actually, Chick Tracts are an oldhead thing, just from a different demographic than you, apparently. They are tiny Christian ultra fundamentalist comic books that earned their creator, Jack Chick, a place in the SPLC pantheon of haters.
The eponymous Chick died several years ago, but the tract business is still going; you can see complete electronic copies of almost every tract they’ve ever made.
It was back in the mid- to late-80s that I was an avid reader (and surreptitious placer) of them. They’re racially universalist, but hilariously politically incorrect otherwise.
For example: “Hi There!” versus “Wassup!” (part of the Black Tract Series). Lol
They have a black history month in Canada?
Still the shortest month though.
It’s even shorter up there. Fewer blacks, fewer achievements, fewer hours of daylight… just as much entitlement and capitulation, though.
Placing a book in a Little Free Library is just about the least confrontational way to make information available. It’s so civil and unobtrusive that only the toxic haircolor-brigade can get worked up about it. A great way to tug at the Overton window and make the Left reveal its crybully nature once more.
There is sooooo much which can be done with this item before it disappears down the MiniTru Memory Hole…
Barbara Perry said it captures “very similar themes” to manifestos often written by “mass shooters,” detailing the grievances and anxieties of the alt-right.
OK, so then if one distributed a book with very similar themes to manifestos written by lefty mass shooters or Islamicist mass shooters or whatever, then the local gendarmerie would be on the case, lickety split, right?
“The little libraries are a way to bring our community together, and hate certainly has no place in Barrhaven,”
Well, one can certainly hate White Nationalism. And one can certainly hate Free Speech, which covers the distribution of this tome.
By the way, if good comrades are supposed to be into multiculturalism, then shouldn’t there be a place for White Nationalist culture in your community?
“It’s not just offensive, it’s dangerous. It fuels racism and fear in our city, and we cannot stand by and allow hate to take root in our communities,” Addison said. “I’m appalled by such behaviour.”
Translated: “I am shocked, shocked, to find the free exchange of ideas going on here!” How can we have diversity unless everyone conforms blindly and without question to the party line?
Here’s a question for Ms Perry and all the other zampolits who may be reading this:
Is it bad headspace for universities to have openly communist professors promulgating an ideology which has led to the rise of totalitarian states, the establishment of the gulag system, the killing fields of Cambodia?
While you are formulating a press release in response, freedom lovers shall be visiting your local Little Free Library.
Make the universities Broadmoor again.
“So far, the areas affected that we are aware of… ”
They speak about finding some academic books as if it were a natural disaster.
This isn’t the mindset of rational people. They can’t long term keep this level of insanity up. This is the liberal empire thrashing about as it goes down. Imagine being the guard who shot the guy climbing over the Berlin Wall in November 1989.
Yes, I noted that too. Practically everything in that article, even the “and”s and “the”s, is propagandistic.
It’s comical that the same people who get defensive when a state like Florida tries to keep blatantly pornographic material out of school libraries would feel like it’s criminal to offer, for free, a book that presents one somewhat radical viewpoint of the world. The reviewer even noted it didn’t encourage violence and I know we believe in blacks living with blacks and so on. In Canada, the native whatever’s should live as one too. And no acknowledgments thank you very much. You were conquered fair and square, like the Indians here in the USA. And the conquered were permitted their own land and autonomy. Yet we’re supposed to beg for forgiveness? No thank you. Enjoy the book while you can Ottawa. Book burning’s may soon be in vogue once again.
That’s a really good point. In bookstores in more affluent and liberal areas you’ll find an LGBTQ+ Youth section. So it’s okay to tell an 11 year old they might be the opposite gender, but suggesting White people ought to be allowed to continue existing is apparently just beyond the pale.
When you boil it down, Left wing positions are simply anti-white and have no further substance to them. Even when whites do something the Left likes, such as say, recycling or other green environmental things, it’s ‘gentrifying’ or somehow ‘othering’ some group.
They simply hate white people, therefore, they are our enemy.
