The Counter-Currents 2013 Fall Fundraiser
My Top Ten Most-Read Websites (& Yours!)

Greg Johnson

T.V.O.M.1,417 words

Dear Friend of Counter-Currents:

Since our last update, we received nine new donations totaling $1,320, for which we are most grateful. That means that our total is $40,465.29, which means that we are now $9,534.71 away from our annual goal of $50,000.

Two of these new donations are just the first of monthly pledges, which are especially helpful.

* * *

I never thought of myself as a green-eyeshade, number-crunching kind of guy. But I always find it pleasurable when I can account for my money down to the last penny. And in recent months, I have been crunching through and analyzing a lot of data, sometimes with surprising results.

Today, I decided to crunch my web browsing numbers for the last 30 days to come up with the Top Ten sites that I visit that might be of interest to Counter-Currents readers. Again, there were some surprises. Sites I thought would appear were not on the list. Others appeared that I did not expect. The rankings also surprised me. I was floored to discover that Chateau Heartiste was not just in the top ten, but number 2! An important factor in this, of course, is simply the amount of material published by a given site. But the numbers do not lie. According to objective data, these are my Top Ten:

1. Euro-Synergies, http://euro-synergies.hautetfort.com/. Robert Steuckers’ Euro-Synergies is the leading European New Right blog. It focuses on metapolitics and geopolitics and reprints articles in the major European languages. Euro-Synergies regularly reprints Counter-Currents articles (237 times and counting). Many of the French texts that I translate were first encountered at Euro-Synergies. Steuckers brings together an enormous amount of material. On a typical day, I spend as much time reading Euro-Synergies as the rest of this list put together.

2. Chateau Heartiste, http://heartiste.wordpress.com/. White Nationalism is about restoring the biological integrity of our race. That does not just entail the creation of racially homogeneous states. It also requires upholding the normativity of heterosexual marriage and family life and the restoration of biological and traditional sex roles.

That, however, is a heroic labor of transvaluation, requiring that we lop off every snaky head of egalitarianism and the false psychology it spawns, then cauterize the writhing stumps with fire. Our Hercules is the author of Chateau Heartiste. Out of taste and habit, I persist in calling him Roissy. I think he is one of most truthful and savagely funny writers alive today. Virtually every post contains proofs of this thesis, such as the one that just appeared in my inbox:

A woman is as viscerally repulsed by a sensitive niceguy as a man is by a fat woman. If you want to know what a woman feels when a niceguy dotes on her in needy supplication, just remember how you feel when you see a land whale bend over in short shorts to pick up a donut crumb. The stimuli are different, but the disgust reflex is the same. And the reflex serves the same underlying reproductive purpose in both sexes: to avoid contamination of the egg with inferior sperm, and to avoid fertilizing and investing resources in inferior eggs.

I think that reducing culture to biology is a fool’s errand. But bringing back sex to biology is a salutary cleansing of the false consciousness that wars with our innate biological instincts and programs millions of whites to pursue lifestyles and mates that condemn them to misery and our race to oblivion. The two most important elements of this false consciousness are mind/body dualism (which promotes the idea that beautiful souls may be hidden in loathsome bodies, and that the soul is more important than the body when it comes to love) and sexual egalitarianism, including its metaphysical postulate, social constructivism. This false consciousness programs both men and women to behave in ways that evoke the instinctive revulsion of the opposite sex, poisoning the wellsprings of our race. Either the lies die, or we do.

Ignore Roissy’s caddishness and crudity. They are merely honey to attract frat boys. Roissy’s ultimate goal is not to teach his readers how to pick up bimbos, but how to “find and keep real, true unconditional love and happiness.”

3. The Occidental Observer, http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/. Kevin MacDonald is one of the most important men alive today because of his pioneering work on the Jewish problem. But TOO is not just his blog. He has also gathered a formidable brain trust of writers around him. Some of these writers also write for Counter-Currents. But a solid majority of them do not. (Although they would be welcome, of course.) Indeed, I don’t even know many of them. I think it is a positive sign that this movement is much bigger than my own circle of acquaintances. Nobody in our movement can deal with the Jewish problem with the authority of Kevin MacDonald, and I am glad the TOO focuses more on that issue, which allows Counter-Currents to focus more on other areas.

4. Sezession im Netz, http://www.sezession.de/, is my favorite German-language site. Sezession im Netz is the webzine associated with the print periodical Sezession, a New Rightish metapolitical magazine that appears six times annually. My favorite Sezession writer is Martin Lichtmesz. Again, I was surprised by the ranking of Sezession, which is a reflection not just of the quality of the material they publish, but also the quantity.

5. J’ai tout compris, http://www.gfaye.com/, is the French-language blog of French New Right theorist and commentator Guillaume Faye.

6. Home Free America, http://www.homefreeamerica.us/, and Global Guerrillas, http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/, are the blogs of John Robb, one of my favorite counter-globalization writers. Robb is author of Brave New War: The Next Stage of Terrorism and the End of Globalization. Until Robb left it in November, I was also a regular reader of his blog Resilient Communities, http://www.resilientcommunities.com/.

Robb believes that America is in for a rough patch due to globalization and economic decline managed by parasitic elites, but he thinks that people can weather the storm by combining new technologies and an old-fashioned pioneer attitude to create resilient, maximally self-sufficient homes and businesses. I particularly recommend his work to Boomerang Generation whites. If White Nationalists follow the advice of writers like Robb, we will become a community with systematic competitive advantages in the hard times that we all hope and pray are ahead if we are going to shake off the current system and start something new.

7. American Renaissance, http://www.amren.com/. Favorite authors: Jared Taylor and Gregory Hood. I read AmRen for the original articles and reviews, not for the news links, which have a cumulatively depressing effect.

8. VDare, http://vdare.com/. Favorite author: James Kirkpatrick

9. Alternative Right, http://alternativeright.com/. A lot of my friends show up here.

10. Taki’s Magazine, http://takimag.com/. Favorite author: Jim Goad

This list does not include non-political sites (I regularly read sites on classical music and archaeology), and it only includes political sites that I actually read, as opposed to merely monitor for outbreaks of lunacy.

Please share your Top Ten sites, however you determine them.

One of the most encouraging signs is that there are now so many New Right, White Nationalist, Identitarian, and other sites on the same general ideological axis, and in every European language, that it would be a full-time job to follow them all. One way that I continue to discover new sites is through links and trackbacks to Counter-Currents. It makes me very proud to see our articles linked, reprinted, and translated all over Europe, and it makes me grateful to the writers and donors who make it possible.

If you have not yet donated to Counter-Currents, now is the time to make yourself an active part of a growing intellectual and political community.

You can make two different types of donations:

  • A single donation of any size.
  • A recurring donation of any size.

Recurring donations are particularly helpful, since they allow us better to predict and plan for the future. We have added several new levels for recurring donations. Please visit our Donations page for more information.

We can also customize the amount of a monthly donation.

There are several ways to make one-time donations:

I’m not interested in a flamewar debate on “game” but I have some observations.

Besides being heavily involved in the sort of Steve Sailer-like breezy superficial HBDism that I believe is ultimately hostile to WN, there is a more fundamental problem I see with the PUA/game community.

With respect to sex and mating preferences and the reality of female attachment to destructive alpha male “bad boys” – I agree completely with CH and the other PUAers. With respect to analysis and diagnosis on male-female relations, what CH and others say is 100% in accord with my own observations. And it is backed up by empirical research. Diagnosis – 100% on target.

The problem is with prescription. The game/PUA guys are male-oriented, male-focused, with a skeptical eye to the preferences, behaviors, and “hamster wheel rationalizations” of women. I see no problem with that. Very good. For example, CH recently wrote:

“…if women had to grapple with their malignant sexual natures on a regular basis, they might very well go crazy. Or crazier than they already are.”

I agree with that assessment. BUT… what’s the PUA prescription? That men should make women and their “malignant sexual natures” the focus of our attention. That we should change our personas to appeal to, and appease, those malignant natures. The “Cathedral” makes female preferences and hypergamy the center of the sexual marketplace and the center of gender relations. The PUA community seems to do the exact same thing, albeit from the standpoint of exploiting this malignancy to get laid. So we have a male-oriented movement focused on changing men to appeal to female malignant natures. That’s a bit of a paradox. Yes, I know the claim is that “acting more alpha” will help a man in his general life, and I agree – up to a point. But that’s not really the main focus of PUA, and especially not of CH’s commentariat. The main focus is adjusting male behavior to satisfy female preferences for alpha bad boys. It’s mostly about snagging the “hot babe.” The trouble is that the abnormal society should not be adjusted to. There is a ‘tragedy of the commons” aspect as well. Even IF it is beneficial for one individual beta to act as an alpha cad – beneficial for that beta’s love life – society as a whole would collapse if all the betas started acting alpha. This is all besides the narrow definition of “alpha” as being success with women, rather than in other aspects of life. Some men may refuse to accommodate to female malignant behavior and are thus not very successful with women, but they are not soft and weak mewling manboob nancyboys.

Rather than a “when in Rome, do as the Romans do” “Ride the Tiger” attitude, why not upset the applecart? The “Cathedral” would not be able to function without the work of beta White men. If those men are disenfranchised by the System, then it’s time to follow the Counter Currents revolutionary attitude of trying to create something better than to focus on getting laid, picking women up at bars, and so forth. I understand that the lessons put forth by CH can be used by men in established relationships to improve and stabilize those relationships, and that’s all to the good. But, let’s be honest: that’s not the main focus of CH, or the general PUA community. The main focus is a more hedonistic approach to exploit the weaknesses of the “Cathedral” to “get as much quality pussy as possible.” Excuse my vulgarity, but that’s the reality. It’s a different attitude. The “game of the Cathedral” is stacked against White men, particularly the betas. The PUA solution is to become better players at the game. The WN solution, or at least my solution, is to flip over the table, refuse to play the game by those rules. Female preferences and hypergamy may be hardwired, but society’s reaction to it can be flexible. Alphas may always be more successful with women, but hypergamy can be managed. No doubt, betas had it better in pre-feminist America. By analogy, a CEO in 1953 earned more than a worker, but the difference was much smaller than in 2013. A 1953 alpha was better off with women that his beta counterpart, but the situation for 1953 betas was nowhere as desperate as it is in 2013. Female nature didn’t change, society changed.

We can all afford to act a bit more alpha with the ladies, but that should not be the main focus of our lives. We should replace the system, not accommodate it. I admit I have a particularly radical and palingenetic temperament, but I can’t see making accommodation to “malignant natures” the center of one’s life, or reaction to modern society.

I wish that the more thoughtful and analytical of the PUA crowd would focus their admirable intellectual energies to killing the tiger, rather than riding it.

Great comment. We can’t afford to let only blacks be “alphas” (in this narrow sense of the word) and steal our women, but we can’t afford to let the whims of women decide our society’s fate, either. Just like the creative geniuses cannot function without the leisure provided by the working masses, “alphas” have no role in a society without lots of “betas” (since that would be no society; it would be anarchy).

The problem with whites today is not that they have too little casual sex, the problem is that they don’t marry and create white children. But we could do with a bit (actually a lot!) more alpha attitude, a bit more manliness and aggression.

All Hail To Roissy! Her’s why:

      Ted in blockquote:

We can all afford to act a bit more alpha with the ladies, but that should not be the main focus of our lives. We should replace the system, not accommodate it. I admit I have a particularly radical and palingenetic temperament, but I can’t see making accommodation to “malignant natures” the center of one’s life, or reaction to modern society.

Exactly where Roissy, He of Blessed Name, is coming from, seen beyond the narrow focus of “Game.” This is the work of lifetimes. Another great read is the “Confession of an Incel,” by m3 at whoism3.com M3’s later observations on marriage is a wonderful extension to the-spearheads blog post, “Stop looking for a wife; you won’t find one.”

It is all about seeing how deeply you have been manipulated, on so many levels, by the System that now sees you as expendable, at best. Once you stop acting like a mule, and start acting like a stallion, you have an enormous amount of energy freed up to do positive things, like making enough to send something to counter-currents, each and every month.

A lot of us have been so deeply indoctrinated that we believe there is a magic formula, that we have not learned yet, that will help us to CHANGE Cinderella into Princess Charming. Nope. The only person you can control is yourself, and the only choices you can make are yours. THAT is where the deeper responsibility from which true Power, true Effectiveness, flows.

This is where we can begin to make a difference.

I wish that the more thoughtful and analytical of the PUA crowd would focus their admirable intellectual energies to killing the tiger, rather than riding it.

They are heading in that direction. Roissy, and Firepower, at the Eradica site, are both moving beyond the provincial focus on dealing with women alone.

This is a useful opportunity to address a point al;l too often mentioned on WN blogs, “Where are the women around here?” Simple. They are home waiting for Ozzie and Homer and Charlie Brown to come home when they say, and how they say. Guys like Ozzie and Homer and Charlie Brown are the reason for the tremendous success of sports bars; warm, comfortable, masculine,
and no one bitching at you and putting you down incessantly.

Roissy, m3, Firepower, and the like are destroying the contemporary practice of marriage, and fatherhood, by pointing out what these situations REALLY mean to you. This is really removing the battery from the motor of society. The government can not make up the difference; it can only mask it economically, and then only for a season.

Society has had a Plan in place for TEN THOUSAND YEARS focusing on harnessing masculine power and ambition to serve “the family,” and, by extension, the tribe/nation state, by tricking them and trapping them into marriage, where the trap then snaps shut, dooming them and forcing them to accept that is best for everybody BUT him.

As The Master, Tom Leykis, said, “Look in the eyes of the guys you see on the trip into work every morning. Don’t they look like beaten dogs? They are. Look at the guys at the mall on the weekends, being dragged around the mall on the weekends, looking like they are stunned at how easily this happened to them. Don’t be one of them. Look at the guys whose wives decided to cash out of the marriage, and got the house, the good car, his pension and half his 401K and stuck him with the payments, and the right to see his son once a month, on the weekends, IF she feels like it. What’s in this for us? Nothing.”

When you walk away from marriage AND paternity, the System’s battery starts to discharge. Enough of us do it, and you end up with the Urban Ghetto, and Omar Little, practicing homosexual and hypermasculine role model on “The Wire,” as your anti-heroes. We can do better, by choosing to not be victims.

Better still, by sending money to counter-currents, each and every month.

Very well put indeed. There will be an ever dwindling supply of “quality p*ssy” if whites are not having kids and living in a serious manner. much truth in “game” but at the end of the day it is parasitic, hedonistic and bottom-feeding.

Per my review of James Neill’s “The Origins and Role of Same-Sex Relations in Human Societies” this is the evolutionary function/advantage of non-heterosexual modes of human sexuality. The game boys not only grovel before women but also, primarily, before the Judaic “family values” crowd that would, neocon like, produce a hyper-frustrated, hyper-stratified, non-spiritual, non-artistic Monogamy State. Like, of course, 21st century USA and of course Israel.

I’ve only occasionally popped in, but I’ve done so for a few years. Nothing I have encountered there leads me to support your conclusion. It’s more like Roissy was attracted to scientific HBD findings because they complimented his chosen lifestyle; only those hbd realities were connected to another set of (even darker) realities that reason and repetition ultimately forced him to embrace.

But anyway, whatever his intentions were or are, he now functions as an apostle of darker things, leading many a newcomer to the same process he himself (in my telling) went through, and that’s what really matters.

Ted assails the gamers for the right reasons, but so impatient is he for radical change that he fails to see the value of speaking to people in their own cultural idiom as Roissy and a couple of his more astute commenters do. Ted may well one day get his rebirth, but just as with the details of his own birth, I guess he’d prefer not to know when and how it was conceived.

You’re missing the point. Those men were already going to devote time and energy to picking up sluts. That’s why they started reading Roissy, so as to enjoy more success in their endeavors. They didn’t track down his blog for the political and cultural pointers. But as luck would it have they’re getting those pointers anyway, and it’s rubbing off on many of them. And if the same phenomenon occurs in numerous other spheres besides ‘game’ – as I believe it slowly but surely is – then it all adds up to a ‘conception’ of sorts. In the same vein as Bismarck’s alleged remarks about laws and sausages, I’m only being partly facetious in saying that you, as a connoisseur of higher things, may find the details – clearly crucial though they be in the scenario I paint – somewhat discomfiting.

I haven’t seen this website, but a lot of pickup artist advice I have read is stupid. Most beta guys don’t have enough acting skills to act alpha. However, the easiest advice is to increase testosterone and become more alpha, and the road to this is weight training (preferably with free weights), especially low rep heavy weight training. After lifting a new PR you will feel very confident at the company meeting the next day as well as in the bar talking to a girl. Your getting more muscular will also make you look more alpha. We all know that taller men make more money, but I think that if we control for IQ, muscular men also make more money than skinny or fat guys. (It’s just that less intelligent guys often tend to be more muscular because of their manual jobs.) I’m also sure doing regular exercises helps you with your focus, so you will be more effective at your job as well – a possible indirect way of increasing your pay.

So it’s a simple (but of course not easy: just simple) way of becoming more alpha: higher testosterone, higher self-confidence, better looks, possibly more money. It also helps you in whatever endeavors you have in your life, including WN activism.

The other simple way is to just bite the bullet and start talking to girls more. If some guy spends 3 hours a day trying to flirt with girls and 5 minutes a day reading a game web site, he’ll be far better off than a guy who spends 3 hours a day reading a game web site and 5 minutes a day flirting with girls. But to their credit, I think all of the game web site people would readily agree with my statement. Game websites are only useful when they post a science article, because science is interesting.

My point was that weight training does raise testosterone levels, and high testosterone will make you want to talk to girls, it will also make you more self-confident (as well as more muscular), you will care less if they reject you, which in turn will make the girls less likely to reject you and more receptive to whatever you’re telling them, thereby creating a virtuous circle where you can easily get more practice with girls. Not to mention the indirect effects (high testosterone guys are more assertive in the office, tend to get higher bonuses, more promotion, etc.).

So yes, it’s good to talk to girls, but weight training gives you a more complex help. It essentially transforms you into a pickup artist (or at least moves you in that direction) without consciously trying. (Not that being conscious would be any help here: it’s a big drawback if you do something consciously.)

        science is interesting

        I couldn’t agree more.

I too follow Bertonneau, and I have been reading him for years now.

I first learned of Derbyshire when he penned his critique of Kevin MacDonald and his defense of the craven philosemitism of National Review. That was all I needed to know. He is a loathsome individual, and I avoid his work completely.

I am underwhelmed by Sailer. Part of it is my inability to take seriously any grown man who talks about sports, especially one who gushes and tingles over Negro athleticism.

As a rule, every day, I try to spend more time reading the printed page than the glowing screen.

Sailer needs to clarify to what extent his opposition to WN is informed by financial support by Ron Unz. Is he supported by Unz? I believe he has stated as much before.

Or, a thought experiment: if Sailer is currently supported by Unz, and if Sailer were to become an overt, radical WN, would that support continue?

As per Derbyshire: his agenda revolves around “Rosie” and the kids. Derbyshire has the typical DE/HBD agenda of distinguishing between “NAMs” and Asians, and he promotes on VDARE the idea that the only relevant racial distinction of importance is blacks/non-blacks. That’s consistent with Hart’s “White separatist state” that would include “Asians and others.”

There’s a consistency with all these guys that revolves around their promoting an alternative to WN: assortative mating to produce a Jeurasian racially mixed cognitive elite (Jews, Asians, and upper class Whites), contrasting to Redblex (White rednecks, Blacks, Mexicans).

Ah well, I’m not mad about Sailer or Derbyshire, I just happen to read them now and then. If you come from Europe, they are among the first you encounter in the “rightish” blogosphere. There were others from that corner as well: Theodore Dalrymple, Dennis Mangan, the late Lawrence Auster. Kathy Shaidle at Taki’s is fun to read, and I like Gavin McInnes most of the time. Nobody beats Jim Goad of course, who lifts me up in defiance everytime. Nowadays, I’m happy about any non-leftist blog appearing, I wish they would multiply like mushrooms, but in the end there are not that many really good and original writers around. So I do most of my reading off-line as well.

I don’t think my most-read websites would be of any interest to you: they’re of the kind of Rorate Cæli: don’t throw rocks at me, but I used to be a Catholic Traditionalist, I used to conceive myself as a Christian knight like Lancelot or Roland who’d fight for Altar and Throne to bring back the Middle Age… and then I got acquainted with “Catholic” Negroes and saw with my eyes the would-be “Next Christendom” and it wasn’t really like Mr. Phillip Jenkins had put it. Not at all: African societies are morally bankrupt even more than ours, going to “church” is just a means to get free food and clothes, or to attend to the performance of the witch-doctor ahem priest. I used to enthuse about Pope Benedict’s liturgical restoration but it dawned on me that in Africa they couldn’t care less about the solemnity of the Tridentine Rite, it’s just repugnant to their taste, like classical music.

But you should also bear in mind it wasn’t always like that: Msgr. Lefebvre would find himself at home in a WN ambiance, rather than in the pussified anti-white Church of Pope Francis. He said that they were a child race and that the only way for us to improve their lot was for them to accept us as a master race and to submit to us. He also warned against mingling with them: we should remain aloof from them and keep our prestige intact. He also spoke fiercely against decolonisation and foretold its unavoidable outcome.

Now even his disciples shun any discussion of White Supremacy, it’s taboo for them to prop it up in public but off-record they’d tell me that Negroes are just dumb and that they don’t want them in their seminaries.

Greg, are you familiar with the Center for Literate Values? Bertonneau is the organization’s secretary and contributes essays to the Center’s journal, Praesidium. Plenty of good stuff there.

Derbyshire is a strange one. While I believe every man deserves to be forgiven at least once for craven, frantic anti-anti-semitism, the Derb has kept up the act, continuing to ludicrously misrepresent even the most basic defenses against Jewish hypocrisy, double standards, deception and aggression. In case he’s reading, I’d like to point out to him that Jews needn’t be responsible for a single thing related to white racial decline, and yet taking a stand against the kind of hypocrisy, double standards, deception and aggression that are organized Jewry’s stock in trade would still be the right and honorable thing to do; he can test this for himself by applying the standard to any other group he may care to think of – Koreans, Italians, Arabs, Mexicans and so on. That Jews indeed have been intimately involved in all things anti-white only adds to the urgency of developing defenses against their activities.

As for Sailer, it comes down to addressing an audience in language it can understand and is therefore willing to hear out. Many people who begin to entertain doubts about the wisdom of the course being followed nevertheless continue to be very fond of a large variety of aspects of our age, from sport to popular music to TV series to you-name-it. In this light, Sailer’s predilections are eminently understandable. His blog has undeniably shifted over the last few years from the hbd nerd/cognitive elitist focus that Ted perhaps remembers to more of an anti-anti-white focus, while retaining the strong emphasis on scientific findings related to race and society. Articulate pro-white and Jew-crit arguments are unquestionably given a fair hearing there, even as the usual suspects do their best to undermine them.

      1. Thanks for the tip about the Center for Literate Values. I will look into them more.

      2. RE Derbyshire. Yes, every dog should get one bite. But Derbyshire has been at it long enough to show his agenda. Of course, Derbyshire has “grown” a bit in recent years. At one time, he referred to Am Ren attendees as “latrine flies.” But he changed his tune after Jared Taylor crossed his palm with silver. He’s a fox in the henhouse, eating the lunches of genuine pro-whites.

      3. RE Sailer: Of course one must go where the fishes are. One must engage the popular culture. (This is the Cat Lady you’re talking to.) One must stake out a whole spectrum of discursive spaces with pro-white messages. I get that. And if I had stumbled across Sailer when I was a conservative/libertarian cognitive elitist, I would have benefitted from him. But reading him today is like going back to graduate school. And I hated graduate school. There’s truth there. But too little truth, too many false idols, too much incense choking the air, too much ego wanking. I am glad people are learning from Sailer. And I hope he has moved toward a greater focus on anti-white racism. I hope some of his readers graduate to genuine White Nationalism. But I’ll catch them then. I just can’t read along with them now.

    Mr. Johnson,

Since you read French, have you ever heard of Alain Soral? http://www.egaliteetreconciliation.fr/ He used to be my preferred site back when I was a Catholic Traditionalist. He’s a rare breed of Judeophobe Negrophile and for him France would be perfectly fine with the mud hordes if only she could be made Judenrein. He bands together with rappers and scums in order to fight the Zionist bugaboo, supports Black “Nationalists” and other fakes, and what’s more, nurtures and spreads visceral hatred toward White America, which he deems to be the source of all evil in the world. Trite criticism of American capitalism, consumerism, ultraliberalism (Reaganomics in French parlance, you surely know that), which would have been all right say thirty years ago but now even De Benoist and Faye have got past that and are preaching the white reunion across the continents. Needless to say, Soral denounces White Nationalism in France as an American import spread by foreign agents who plot to destroy France’s sovereignty and grandeur.

Now you might understand why I dread European “nationalisms” more than the plague, and why I want to come to America? Anyway, time for a rebuttal? He’s a very dodgy fellow because thanks to his charisma he’s pulling countless numbers of angry white youth out of our orbit and into the black hole of an absurd multiracial nationalism. If you feel uneasy about writing in French, just write it down in English, I’ll gladly translate it for you.

America is the dominant power in the world today so for a nationalist outside of America it is easier and safer to damn America as a whole rather then the powers within the power. Americans do not have that luxury and have to be more specific.

Those outside of America tend to be reactionary whereas Americans living in America tend to be proactive. MacDonald (bless him) is probably the best living example. The poor guy studied the alpha group in animals and then decided to apply his techniques to humans and the rest is history.

I’m of the opinion that if anyone can unravel this mess without blowing everything up it is the Americans but if a man has to do what a man has to do it is the Americans. And that to me is worth the admission price to a good movie which I send C-C once in a while.

I’ve read the major Third Way thinkers – Loebl, Sik – and think a more useful, and certainly more realistic perspective, is to start with the ecological economics guys – Herman Daly, in particular. Amory Lovins at the Rocky Mountain Institute offers first-rate analysis in a very readable format.

The next economic models will have a lot more to do with the Second Law of Thermodynamics and having a basis in equity rather than debt. Robb sees some of the more obvious dimensions of these issues, and the Solari blog offers useful ideas for the interface between society and economics.

    Ted,

You have DEs number. Very incisive comments here and elsewhere. People should run them down, and carefully read them.

I once exchanged words with a person from gene expression. He claimed to be a “cognitive elitist” and did come across as very intelligent. To his credit, he felt the case for WNsm was starting to pick up some credibility. But I didn’t get the impression he was buying into it which is disappointing.

A lot of our top talent that rejects liberalism is voluntarily diverting into this blind alley known as DE. It’s frustrating. The white cognitive elitists who reject wnsm are so typically white in their individualistic and universalist outlook it’s funny. The white cognitive elitists seem genuinely believe that in their ideal world the Jewish and Han IQ elites would share power with their white peers. Jesus, my sides…

If you’re a high IQ white and happen to see this comment, you better think about how your non-white peers would likely treat you.

The owner of Gene Expression is Razib Khan and a photo of his can be found on his website. He is obviously a Paki and therefore his lack of enthusiasm for White Nationalism is understandable.

White cognitive elitists are idiots who live in a dream world, just like their economical co-idiots the libertarians. People, no matter how individualistic they may consider themselves, can only function satisfactionally in a community of their kindred.

I didn’t argue with Razib Khan. It was a different contributor to an older version of his gene expression blog, not the current iteration of gene expression hosted by Discover magazine. The exchange was also on a different site, not on the gene expression blog itself. It was also a few years ago.

Your comparison of white cognitive elitists to libertarians is apposite. It is pure fantasy to believe that the Jewish or Han IQ elites would ever make their white peers co-equals, or that Jews or Han-dominated society would cultivate the cultural conditions that would allow the top white talent to flourish and express itself.

I hate the notion that there is this pervasive “white pathology” afflicting white folks, but much of our side sure seems to fit that description. White cognitive elitists seem to be exhibiting the classic tendency Macdonald mentions here.

My thesis (most recently summarized here) is that this campaign of moral vilification relies on pre-existing tendencies among a great many Whites toward moral universalism and creating ingroups based on moral and reputational qualities rather than kinship.

White cognitive elites ought to wise up. Analysis of their respective histories followed by deep reflection on whether Jewish and Han elites have a REPUTATION for fair dealings with outsiders would be a good start.

As for CH, I’ll point out that indirect propaganda/activism is the most effective.

I still remember, in my first year at university, how an ‘Antifa-activist’ was booed by the whole auditory of students after he took stage and was desperately trying to pursue everyone to join his group. This occurence filled me with great joy…untill a couple of days later a representative of the newly formed nationalist student union took center stage and was actively trying to persuade everyone of the righteousness of nationalism and joining his group…and he was booed as well.

I since then learned that nothing is as ‘uncool’ and ineffective as actively trying to persuade someone of something. It’s much better to include your message indirectly, while speaking of some unrelated matter. (Ironically the above principles also apply with regards to male-female attraction / ‘game’)

Therefore I’m 100% certain that a site like Chateau Heartiste is much more effective in spreading of racial awareness than any website which which directly describes itself in terms of WN a.s.

Some of us are onto Paglia. She is no friend to anyone fancying himself a traditionalist/conservative. To sum it up, ” Politically, she describes herself as an old-school Progressive, and openly advocates for a system of human relations that denies or suppresses the very human realities that she elsewhere celebrates.”

Yes, yes, it’s from the frightful lady at the Thinking Housewife, She Who Must be Obeyed, and her commenters – but that doesn’t make her incorrect about Camille P. What a relief to see that a few other folks get it!

        Stronza:

Paglia is worth mentioning alongside Roissy because she provides intellectual firepower for the idea that (1) Men Matter (a lot!), and (2) in the absence of Men, Civilization dies.

I think we are maturing with the NANR outlook, particularly compared with the dangerously provincialism of the monocausists who define White Nationalism before us. This means we can take the best of what others have to offer, rather than accepting the intellectual trap false dualities of the “All or Nothing At All” of so many who came before us, a trap that gelded them with the greatest of ease – and effectiveness.

Jaego’s comments concerning the Archdruid are most helpful as an example in this regard. We can take what he has that we can work with, make it work for ourselves, and do BETTER, much damn BETTER, with it. That the Archdruid sees the rest of the world differently from us is all to the better; we can take the best of what he has to offer, and discard the rest.

That’s why Harold Covington’s creation of the Northwest Republic as an analytical model is so wonderfully smart. We aren’t boxed into a past that never was. We have the power to make meaningful choices, OUR choices on OUR terms.

That requires more responsibility, more intellectual maturity, than the vast majority of the historically defined White nationalists ever had. Of course, history records them as culls in the evolution of the Race.

There’s an excellent reason for that.

Covington’s Unspoken Point is the most empowering of all: No one is coming to save us from what we have co-created. No one. Not Sky God Rockwell, not Sky God Pierce, no one. This makes what Covington has offered the opportunity of lifetimes, and it is so overwhelming that all too many of us retreat to X-Box fantasies, SportsCenter, alcohol, tranquilizers, and meaningless trivialities that insure our continued personal ineffectiveness and political impotence, rather than developing our lives, starting where we are, starting NOW, to become part of the Living Foundation of our own New Nation.

Can’t anyone here see that Paglia is contradicting herself, that she is a big hypocrite?

I’m with FOC on this, as I am on many things. The notion that Western Civilization is a male achievement is a not a mainstream leftist idea. Her liberalism is of a completely different character than that of the mainstream cultural leftists. For example, keeping in mind she is homosexual herself, here is a portion of what said about the evangelical Christian Phil Robertson and the Duck Dynasty:

“I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility. This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S.: why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism; why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, etc. is because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing view points.”

Social truths change from social time and social place. Paglia’s piece currently under discussion was her opening statement in a debate on why are men useful at all, sponsored by the Canadian Broadcast Corporation, and available for download. See all of her statements in context, and recognize that her opposition represents social forces that have been under development, with methods and techniques under refinement, for more than a century. The Culture has been transformed to the point that it is considered a point for debate that (1) Men Matter, and (2) Men Build Civilization. The Other Side believes men are, well, wrong, and no longer really useful; the costs outweigh the benefits. This is a breathtaking cultural reversal, which took place in the blink of an eye, and The Other Side speaks for the social engineers. She has been, like Whitaker Chambers was, in the belly of the Beat long enough to realize that ideas and practices that were highly radical forty or so years ago have become commonplace, and This Is Not By Accident. I suspect she sees The Future rather clearly, and is not at all sanguine that it can be corrected.

Remember, if you want to destroy the foundation of Civilization, destroying the Warrior Caste is the easiest and best way to do it. Think that’s been going on for the last fifty years?

        Bet on it.

I have, and what she said then is what she said then. Much of it reflects the Insights of an open, wide-ranging intellect, which challenged the “liberal” conventions of that time. Reading her is like reading James J. O’Meara; good writer, good analysis, and you do not have to agree with anything he has to say to appreciate that what he is saying is said well, and presents new Insights into certain social and Cultural situations. As with Paglia, you are forced to engage O’Meara intellectually, and this leads to your own intellectual development.

You say she provides intellectual firepower. So what. How does it do any good when it comes from a really damaged mind.

See my comments to Jaego concerning the Archdruid. The Archdruid offers deep analysis, and a wide-ranging perspective, on the metaissues concerning our civilization. You do not have to agree with him on anything, but his analysis, like the analyses of Paglia or James J. O’Meara, contains facts that we can no longer ignore, and a perspective we can all learn something from; however little, or however much, is up to you and I.

Compare Roissy’s inimitable style with that of Alex Linder. I’ve wondered whether they are one and the same. It would make a lot of sense for a man with that kind of talent to make a two-pronged approach to the behemoth of ethnomasochism, one explicit/direct and the other by way of “Game”.

I think there is no comparison at all. Roissy is a far better and more consistent stylist and also far better at reasoning. Linder burned out close to a decade ago.

Just throwing a few more things out there re:Third Way economics/green issues.

    1. Low-Tech/No-Tech Magazine: updated very occasionally, but a good skeptical look at technological “advances,” especially from the perspective of energy consumption as well as alternative work-arounds (e.g. refrigeration-sans-electricity).
    2. In the same vein, the Archdruid Report: a pretty well-read Celtic pagan/peak oil blogger who updates once a week.
    3. Michael Hudson: heterodox, post-Keynesian economist, who is particularly critical of usury/finance capitalism
    4. Modern Monetary Theory: using “fiat currency” creatively for the advancement of society. Probably the central repository for this type of thinking is the New Economic Perspectives blog.

I know that at least a few of these thinkers would be aghast to find their ideas taken-up by New Right’ists, but there are some good ideas there.

The Arch-Druid does not allow any dissent on his site. He was musing on how he wished he could live to see the Asian-Hispanic Civilization that would arise in California. I commented that he didn’t seem to have any loyalty to his own People and Nation. He didn’t like that and I was soon gone. He is actually into actual Druidism as well. I asked him via email why he didn’t stick with the Golden Dawn and Kabbalah type magic which are (supposedly and at least potentially) politically neutral. The old Druids were for their own people. No answer of course. What could he say?

James Howard Kunstler’s site is also about peak oil and he either doesn’t guard it as well or he is more tolerant about dissent.

MMT is interesting. Thank you for that one. Lambert Strether is an excellent blogger with a section on MMT. Strether is a one-man anti-capitalist, anti-neo-liberal wrecking crew. He does a good job exposing Obama and the democrats as agents for plutocracy, contrary to the manufactured conventional wisdom that treats them as “liberal.” And yes, this man would probably be mortified to see his name here.

The man who goes by “Brother Nathaneal” has a good site.

      http://brothernathanaelfoundation.org

He specializes in short clips on Jewish issues. I’ve seen quite a few of them (not all) and have yet to see a major factual error in his commentaries. I’ve read that he is a Jew. I’ve also read that he’s a mentally ill nut case that masquerades as a member of the Orthodox Church. That could be slander, but he’s definitely an oddball. Personally, I think he has an intriguing video persona, though this is something reasonable people can disagree about. As with all of these sites, people’s mileage may vary.

His latest commentary (2:00 minutes) is about Jews and the Federal Reserve. He discusses the Fed, disproportionately run by Jews of course, spreading big money to foreign central banks outside of America.

It turns out that now that Barack Obama has promoted Janet Yellen (Jew) to head the Federal Reserve, there was a need to appoint a new “vice chairman” of the Federal Reserve. Obama’s selection is a man named Stanley Fischer. Fischer is a dual-citizen of Israel and the USA and most recently governor of the Bank of Israel.

We have an Israeli dual citizen with ties to the Bank of Israel and Wall Street in a key position at the American federal reserve, which in turn is headed by a Jew. How can seemingly everyone in the world be so fucking naive except White Nationalists (rhetorical)?

Just to underscore the point in case anyone thinks is skeptical Nathaneal about the Fed handing out huge money for foreign banks, here is Congressman Alan Grayson (Jewish incidentally) grilling Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke (Jew) in 2009. The exchange is about the Fed’s transfer of $500,000,000,000 to overseas central banks with no audit trail.

The Grayson/Bernanke video is 5:00 minutes. The whole thing is mesmerizing, but if you’re short on time, go to 1:10, then perk up your ears at 1:20. Bernanke can’t say who got the $500,000,000,000.

If Sailer is not a closet WNist, he’s a good useful idiot for us. Recently he made a piece about the war on Christmas, and it might be an eye-opener on the Jewish Question for many. At least a large plurality of commenters definitely took the clue.

We shouldn’t support him (in fact we should attack him for saying so little about the JQ or about the problems with Asian immigration) but it’s a good thing he exists.

I’m surprised that none of the comments mentioned Western Spring as a favorite site. As far as I can discern from my surfing through the WN blogs, this site is the Great Britain simulacrum of Counter-Currents.

One of my top ten sites not listed is The Last Ditch.
    http://www.thornwalker.com/ditch/

There is a lot of good stuff there. Some of the writers they include should be familiar: F. Roger Devlin, Andy Nowicki, Jared Taylor, and Cooper Sterling.
