A lot of people are down in the dumps because of Trump’s shocking betrayals on immigration, the Epstein files, and especially the expanding debacle in Iran. Here are a few words of consolation. Things aren’t that bad.
As a White Nationalist, my political goal is to restore white homelands ravaged by globalization, low white fertility, and non-white migration. Our ranks are steadily growing, but we remain a political minority. Until we are no longer a minority and have the power to implement our preferred policies, we must content ourselves with influencing existing parties to adopt policies we like.
Our natural political constituency is white people who vote for center-Right parties, especially nationalists and populists, as opposed to globalists and neoliberal elitists. Such politicians include Viktor Orbán, Georgia Meloni, and Donald Trump.
One shouldn’t expect too much of such politicians. They only want some of the things we want, and frankly they’d be horrified by the rest. Moreover, they will speak to and make deals with our enemies, but they will barely acknowledge our existence. We can dispense with them once we have power. But until that time, they’re the best we have.
Orbán is by far the best of the lot. Meloni is the biggest disappointment. Trump is a very mixed bag. He has done many things we would do if we had power: restrict immigration, ramp up deportations, and roll back anti-white discrimination.
But Trump’s megalomaniacal foreign policy blunders, including two wars on Iran at Israeli behest, have wrecked vital alliances, sent the global economy into a tailspin, and shredded the electoral coalition needed to perpetuate his policies. At this point, it seems almost certain that the Left will return to power and reverse everything good he accomplished.
It’s all very depressing.
But I want you to notice something about the political scenario above. The agents are the Left, the center-Right, and mainstream national populist politicians. We can also add in the Jewish lobby, the oligarchy, and various foreign powers.
But where do we fit in this picture? Apparently, we’re just helpless, passive spectators. If that’s how we see ourselves, no wonder so many people are depressed. It feels bad to be helpless and passive.

But there’s another way to look at this. We’re not mere spectators. We’re agents here. And we’re not powerless either. Now, I will grant that building White Nationalism with no money and no power is much harder than having it handed to us by others. But, (1) people who don’t want White Nationalism were never going to deliver it anyway, so even if they gave us a good head start, the greater part of the work was still going to be ours, and (2) taking stock of what we can do and making a plan to do it is better than moping around and feeling powerless and hopeless.
The Ancient Stoics taught that there are things you can control, and there are things you can’t. The first step toward wisdom is discerning the difference. White Nationalists have very little control over the world, because we lack numbers, money, and political power.
But we have a lot of control over our attitudes and expectations. If you want things that you can’t have, you are bound to be defeated. Unrealistic expectations are a major source of disappointment. And disappointment is one of the main impediments to discovering the things you can control and expanding your power over them.
There’s a strange phenomenon on the Right that I call “Imaginary Friend Syndrome.” I first noticed it in 2008 when White Nationalists convinced themselves that Ron Paul was a secret friend. “Ron Paul gets the JQ. That’s what’s really behind his anti-interventionism.” Then, four years later, Ron Paul was back and Mitt Romney joined the Secret Friend Club: “Look at Romney’s cranial index. Look at his big, beautiful family. Look at his ‘power point.’”
I mocked this at the time, but it has only gotten worse.
The biggest and most baleful examples of Imaginary Friend Syndrome on the Right today are the Based Putin/Based Russia crowd and QAnon. QAnon didn’t just imagine Trump was our guy. It sold millions of people on the idea that Trump had a whole team of Superfriends fighting alongside him against the “Deep State.”
I believe Imaginary Friend Syndrome is a coping mechanism for dealing with a feeling of powerlessness. But you don’t gain power from deluding yourself. It is fun to imagine that you have friends in high places. But you can only gain power from a cold, objective look at reality.
If you imagined—even slightly, even for a minute—that Trump is our friend, you were setting yourself up for needless disappointment. So pull that disappointment up by the roots.

Trump isn’t a White Nationalist. He was never a White Nationalist. That was never going to happen. He wants some of what we want in the short term. But he doesn’t have a long-term vision of society, and if he bothered to articulate it, it would be a happy rainbow in which minorities act white and grateful, like something from eighties sitcoms and buddy movies. He’d be horrified by the idea of restoring white homelands. Ultimately, only White Nationalists can create White Nationalism, because only we want it.
It would be easier if you are like me and regard Trump coldly, simply as a tool. (And let’s face it, that’s how he regards us.)
At best, he was a tool implementing policies that we would have implemented, thus giving us a taste of victory long before we actually attain power.
Barring that, Trump is at the very least—to quote Charles Murray—our “murder weapon” against the American political establishment.
Even if all Trump’s positive achievements as president are erased, his greatest gift to us may have happened on that day in 2015 when he announced his candidacy. In a single stroke, he changed the parameters of American politics by questioning the value of unrestrained economic globalization and Third World migration. Millions of Americans, overwhelmingly white, were being harmed by these policies. But their complaints were ignored by the political establishment until Trump came along.
The reigning policies in a society are the ones you don’t get to vote on, because they are embraced by the whole political establishment. Trump was hailed as a tribune of the people and denounced as a traitor to his class because he broke ranks on globalization and immigration. Trump opened a space in American politics for nationalism, populism, and white identity politics. He proved that it is a winning formula.
That’s the sense in which Trump was a murder weapon against the political establishment. And, as any wise guy will tell you, once you use a murder weapon, you need to drop it and walk away.
Establishment Republicans would very much like to go back to business as usual, but that won’t happen, for three reasons:
- “Business as usual” is destroying America. Once Trump is gone, multiculturalism won’t magically start working. Liberalism, globalism, open borders, and pandering to crazies, criminals, and morons won’t make society better. More business as usual just means more destruction. More destruction means more people searching for credible solutions. And that’s where we come in. We have the solutions. The failures of the system—globalization, multiculturalism, anti-whiteness, immigration—are the primary forces driving the rise of white identity politics. If the system intensifies these policies, they will intensify the reaction, which would be us. And now we can add Trump’s betrayals to the list of factors driving people toward us.
- The other main factor driving the rise of white identity politics is that we are converting people to our way of thinking. We are winning the battle of ideas. This can be measured by opinion polls, electoral shifts, and web traffic to alternative sites. There are more people getting into the fight every day, and not just passive consumers of “content” but creators and activists.
- Whether from principle, opportunism, or some blend of both, new national populist politicians are emerging who understand identitarian issues far better than Trump or Nigel Farage. Rupert Lowe in the UK is the best example. J. D. Vance is an even better example, because he is a heartbeat from the US presidency already. But that’s a hard thesis to sell in the current climate. Vance may be too tainted by association with Trump. He may have “played the game” too well with the ruling powers. So it may be a foolish use of my social capital to plead his case.
In sum, Trump was not our last hope. I wish he had done more for us as president. I hope the good things he has done won’t be reversed because his stupidity will return the Left to power. But the best thing he has done for us—creating a political space for nationalism and populism—will not be undone.
The rest is up to us. But it has always been up to us. In the end, only White Nationalists will save our race, because we’re the only people who want that. And there are more of us every day. New and more receptive political figures are emerging, and many more are to come.
Yes, the system still has enormous advantages in terms of guns and money, but truth and justice are on our side, and ultimately those matter more.

Greg I have massive respect for your work and website etc and agree with most things you write/say but this positivity you are putting out around JD Vance is wrong in my opinion.
If in 2028, the only way to stop Democrats winning and them persecuting people like you is to have JD Vance as president then sure that’s reasonable to back him.
But its early 2026, we still have time to get someone better and not just give away free positivity to Vance.
We need to open up space for someone better (not perfect, just better). We will not open up space if we give free praise to Vance so early in the race for 2028.
Vance is clearly the guy ‘the system’ wants after Trump for the Republicans. That fact alone should make you wary.

My 2 cents. Perhaps have some Counter Currents debate/discussion podcast on the VQ Vance Question. I’ve seen Counter Currents commentators like Endeavour from Canada criticising Vance on Telegram. I’m sure there are others too.

– Yes, you did. But imo the correct reason to not defend Vance is because he is an Op and a snake. Not merely that his association with Trump has tarnished his reputation.
One of the last things I recall Jim goad writing for this site was his distrust of J. D. Vance. I agreed.
He is Thiel’s groomed–hopefully figuratively only–candidate. He is the man to fast track the digital control grid. If the CBDC and the rest goes into effect, ALL dissident movements will be silently strangled and White Nationalism will be, absent a serious revolution, DOA. The control grid is what we must stop by all legal means.
Maybe this is too cynical, but I don’t think you can take anything a politician says at face value. If JD seems to “get” the right, it’s because his campaign consultants found out that dog-whistling to white nationalists is an excellent electioneering strategy, not because he sympathizes with the silent majority. It’s all an act. Republicans tell their voters they’re going to close the border, Democrats tell their voters they’re going to forgive student loans. Shockingly, neither ever delivers.

People like Bannon produced his campaign strategy and wrote his speeches, dog-whistling about Evola and “riding the tiger” to harness the meme energy of young white guys behind Trumpism, while behind the scenes they were best friends with Jeffrey Epstein. Based on Steve Bannon’s emails, they just orchestrated the MAGA movement to take advantage of the disenfranchisement felt by the American white population to bolster recruitment. Some of them want with Iran, but others want war with China because they see it as a threat to their continued rule by speculation. It seems like the plan for Europe is to throw the remaining young European population into war with Russia, since the former Bolsheviks absolutely hate the Russians.
I don’t think a political solution is possible at this point in America. Nor do I want one. There’s a lot of myopia in politics, Kamala Harris was absolutely distancing herself from BLM, LGBT, illegal immigration and woke on the run up to the 2024 election. She played dumb and just didn’t really reference those things all through the campaign trail. She did that because the Democrats could see it was failing and bleeding their legitimacy, why on earth would they return to a losing strategy?
Just because the Republican party is in crisis due to the Israel lobby imploding doesn’t mean the Democrats are in good shape either. The failure of multiculturalism results in a general political crisis for both sides. Labour in the UK aren’t exactly doing well right now, they’re contending with dangerous Muslim elements agitating directly for their interests and are being outflanked by some toothless charlatan Zack Polanski promising to play Santa Claus. One thing that needs to be done is to keep the momentum going on certain issues, especially if the next president is a Democrat. I’m talking about such issues as the Somalian fraud, deporting Illan Omar and prosecuting Tim Waltz for their involvement. If this happens before Trump finishes his term, then other Somalian’s involved should be prosecuted. Similar types of governmental fraud are starting to be exposed in California. The problem with foreign, truck drivers and the danger they pose should continue to be an issue. In a way, the Democrats would be better off if they agreed to let these criminals be prosecuted. Also, we have the military issue. The various branches of the armed forces were in the process of becoming skeleton crews under Biden. Once Trump was elected, enlistments dramatically increased. While many commentators at CC have been critical of the military overall and have advised against enlistments, we should drive home the point to normies that if they enlist under a Democratic president, it will be a return to the Cultural-Marxist, anti-white policies that existed under Biden’s presidency.

Trump is not really One Of Us. He saw a parade going by and ran out and appointed himself the drum major. He didn’t understand the forces that propelled him into office in 2016 (he almost certainly didn’t expect to win) and allowed himself to be repeatedly undercut and betrayed by the Deep State.
Someone is going to come along that does understand what got Trump into office, hopefully with less of an impulsive streak and more of a filter between his brain and his mouth. And on that day the left will suddenly discover how much they miss the easily-distracted Trump.

The USA is not more the ONE global superpower and ONE world cop. It seems, that there will be another one global superpower and another one world cop, but maybe it happens not so soon. At least some years before this happens, the world will be defined by several powers and several cops with different areas of responsibility.

As a Concerned White, think small act small. Instead of dreaming about sovereign states, look at your local political-economy and see where you might gain experience in the existing system. Dreaming of replacing a system we don’t really understand with a different system that we also don’t understand isn’t going to help us.
Our folk sort of know that something is not right. At the present moment, we cannot guide them because we don’t have anything to offer them that meets their need. Fervor and idealism can only take a movement so far.

Granted, center-Right usually means “controlled opposition,” not that the Rechtsextreme doesn’t have its own issues with entrapment honey pots and LARPing, etc.
But what innovations have come out of the center-Left in the last nine or so decades? Anything after a few New Deal reforms like Social Security and collective bargaining? Maybe Nixon supporting environmental protection, occupational safety, and so on?
Anyway, I’ve voted Democrat twice in my lifetime. Once in 1992, which was in protest to “read my lips” and global military intervention and what Texas oilman H. Ross Perot called that “giant sucking sound,” and then again in 2004 to protest Junior Bush’s phony WMD crusade in Mesopotamia. If there was ever a time to impeach somebody, boy howdy.
What I learned is that center-Left Democrats were even more of the worst aspects of the middling Right. The amount of inherent Pozz oozing forth from the Democratic Party is such that it is a mystery to me how White people can support it in any case. This is far from the Party of Jefferson. That should be no surpise as both FDR and his fellow New York plutocrat, the Junior (((Morgenthau))) unironically considered themselves to be Jeffersonian Democrats.
Unfortunately, most proposals for any instauration of Western Civilization sound either like science fiction or hopeful but probably naïve calls for more missionary work.
The Trump phenomenon galvanized quite a bit of change, and much of it was to our liking. Yes, we are disappointed, but then he was never really our guy. Nobody denies that except for the enemy who vehemently hate the Orange Man.

I’m not sure why you think ‘innovations’ are all that important. The liberal-left strategy isn’t a failure, what’s failing is their ideology (which is not the same thing). The reality is that the liberal-left strategy of appealing to the ‘common man’ while turning around and screwing them over could only work because the center-right is so worthless.
White Nationalism needs to be about White flourishing. Not just some Whites but all Whites. The elitism of ‘center-right’ politics prevents the very idea of ‘collective flourishing’ as a goal from gaining any credence whatsoever.
Why should the ‘average’ White person consider White Nationalism to be an option when ‘White Nationalism’ isn’t interested in ‘average’ Whites?
The great ‘strategy’ of the liberal-left has been to not overtly hate the average White person. Now that they are hating the average White person, they’re losing ground with Whites. But, notice ‘White Nationalism’ isn’t gaining ground with Whites. Instead, Concerned Whites are simply bereft. In the movement we legitimately point out that no social or political entity exists to articulate and defend the interests of White people. But the truth is White Nationalism as current constituted doesn’t articulate and defend the interests of White people either. At least not all White people.
I predict the next big self-hobbling trend in ‘White Nationalist’ discourse will be a critique of ‘populism’ because, well, why not? If White Nationalism were to advocate for the interests of all White people in our respective homelands, we might gain authority and power. And, heavens knows, we cannot have that. Because with authority and power comes just a little bit of accountability for our behaviors and choices as a movement.
Here’s a terrible truth: White Nationalist activity and discourse doe not train Concerned Whites how to do lead or rule. It just flatters us that we should.

You know, I was watching Tucker on YouTube the other day and if you watch him, Cadence, Ana, Cenk, Jimmy Dorr, Jo Rogan, Theo, and the list goes on and on now, and you read some of the comments which sometimes numer into the thousands, you realize that our message has now entered a good part of the mass vernacular; granted we have a ways to go but man, people are on there and they very much know about the Jewish problem and even its history.
Because of this insane war with Iran, and all of the betrayal that Trump’s top, now former supporters are now feeling along with much of MAGA, this might come, maybe not next election, but at some point, open the door for a third party that these influencers that I mentioned will throw their support behind. A third party much more in line with our cause. I feel that it’s possible.
We shall see.

I consider myself to be Progressive ─ that is, someone who favors progress (small p). I think that is an essential characteristic for a flourishing civilization.
I don’t call myself a Progressive, however, because the anti-Nationalist Left and the Marxists have hijacked that term.
The problem is that Marxist ideology fetishizes egalitarianism to the point of nihilism. It is like a bucket of crabs all trying to get out of the pot, but they can’t grab onto anything except each other and just keep pulling themselves right back in.
The Left also fetishizes anti-Whiteness or strives for anything depraved and degenerate from class-warfare to radical-Feminism. If there is any kind of duty or honor to country and community that might enoble White people, then the Marxist duty is to just queer it up.
And that is quite a different set of values to, for example, the twelve-point Boy Scout Law which dedicates its members to be:
Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

Well, “average” is as average does. I think we should strive for much more. I think it is important for both individuals and peoples to learn how to set goals and to progress. I don’t see White Nationalism through the lens of the center-Right in any case.
The Progressive Left from Wilson to Truman used to have good ideas and to innovate. For example, I used to be a Union Shop Steward and understand the values of the 1935 National Labor Relations Act, which was directly borrowed from the Fascists, and the German Labor Front, which operated in a similar manner.
Basically the idea was to end class warfare by having an impartial board whereby the government would mediate and arbitrate between the representatives of Capital and Labor in the higher organic national interest. This is a very good model for settling conflicts when implemented correctly.
I observed as a Union representative, however, that this collective bargainingmodel completely breaks down when Capital can just take their business overseas for cheap labor like migrating geese.
Also, solidarity in the age of DEI organizing around the principle of anti-Whiteness in pointless. As long as our basic institutions are hijacked by Jews and the rising tide of Colored subversives, our society has no chance. Ultimately it is Them or Us.

The House of White definitely needs to be fumigated from top to bottom to remove the rats and lice and cockroaches in crannies. That is how the Left and the Marxists organize and draw their sustenance.
I don’t see how “the Right” is uncharitable towards Populism. Americans have led the way in that respect. The only downside is that Populism, aka “rural socialism,” has tended to get bogged down with things like budget hawkery, Libertarianism, sectarianism, and provincial thinking. And postwar National Socialism has tended to lose focus and get lost in LARPing and other distractions like esoteric avatars and Hindu mysticism.
We need to develop a more organic philosophy of Nobility where classes compliment each other and strive for betterment in the overarching interests of Nation and Race instead of competing at their comrades’ throats in the interests of shallow consumerism or Marxist nihilism.

I strongly agree that we need to be mentoring and training young leaders in how to lead.
But this has traditionally been done through institutions ─ of which the Boy Scouts was one of many ─ and we Whites have precious few suitable institutions left that have not already been thoroughly Pozzed. We definitely have to change that.
What would be the backlash of bringing back an all-White Scouting program?
Oh, the usual suspects would howl bloody murder and threaten with their weaponized minivans in the frozen streets of Minneapolis, or by swinging their machetes in the steamy streets of urban jungle.
We need to not walk away from these kinds of conflicts because they bring matters to a head. J6 could have made some headway with little cost to life, liberty, and property if there had been some actual leadership in play.

The Napoleonic dictum is that “In war, the moral is to the physical as three is to one.”
Truth and Morale are weapons. That is why immigration enforcement, for example, should not be done from “safe” Red States but even more so from right in the belly of the beast. We need pro-White leaders who understand dialectical ideas and lawfare, who double-down instead of those who get frightened away by mean tweets.
