Should America Pause “Democracy” to Save the Republic?
Jason KesslerA lot of necessary things are happening because Donald Trump is president: firing of leftist FBI agents, dismantling of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs, and attempts to end the left-wing patronage system known as USAID. I say “attempts” because despite the express authorization of the democratically elected United States president partisan, unelected judges have fabricated legal rationale to shut down this and many other important Trump administration priorities like reducing immigration and downsizing the federal bureaucracy. An electoral system in which permanent Washington inevitably thwarts the will of the American people is fully exposed for all to witness.
So although conservative nationalists may have a relatively rosy perception of our electoral system while their man is in office, there has never been a better time to question our form of elected government itself and ask, “Should we pause democracy?”
I’m not ideologically opposed to democracy when it serves its intended function: expressing the will of the people. It can only do so within a country in which citizens may disagree about priorities but share the same fundamental values. Democracy is not intended as a replacement for warfare among bitter ideological enemies with no shared values. We now have a system in which both sides want to usurp the authority of the government in order to prosecute their enemies. They fight for the power to use education and patronage systems for indoctrination and social engineering. The stakes of each election are literally life, death and freedom. When each side fears who holds the reins of power, they should not be living together under one nation. Our democratic system of government has become nothing more than what Hans-Hermann Hoppe called “the god that failed.”
During the 2020 election conservatives raised a lot of doubts about the validity of Joe Biden’s election based on claims both empirically sound and conspiratorial. There are legitimate criticisms of technically legal attempts to sway election results by implementing a mail-in ballot scheme under the auspices of COVID. Whether legal or not (it varied from state to state) mail-in voting tipped the balance decisively in favor of the Democrats and was a change only consented to by the portion of the electorate who stood to gain. If powerful people change the law to seize power is that “democracy” or a coup from within? These criticisms were muted by the shenanigans of the usual suspects peddling their clownish conspiracy theories. Dinesh D’Souza was forced to apologize after the claims in his “2000 Mules” film, alleging voter fraud, were proven fictitious during a defamation lawsuit.

But there is a much more real, troubling and systemic corruption of our democracy that cannot possibly be solved no matter what Trump does during his term in office. I’m talking about the Democrats suborning a foreign invasion that has disenfranchised the traditionally White, conservative demographic of the country by reducing their share of the vote relative to the brown anchor babies of illegal immigrants. Examples of this include sanctuary cities, opposition to border wall funding, relentless pathway to citizenship proposals, support for decriminalizing border crossings, resistance to proof of citizenship requirements in voting, and expanded parole programs which allowed more than 500,000 entries from countries like Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela during the Biden administration. Estimates are that in recent years about 15 million immigrants illegally invaded this country, spawning God only knows how many American citizen anchor babies to ripple through the system. Another 12 million have come in through so-called legal immigration, using the technically legal exploitation of the law Democrats do oh so well. That’s about an 8% injection of a foreign population before you even begin to tabulate the anchor babies. Anyone who has followed recent presidential elections knows how razor thin the margins have been in all the swing states.
No matter how successful Trump is he will not be able to change the inevitable trajectory of this demographic replacement and disenfranchisement of the White American population who founded the country. Particularly so when Democrat apparatchiks in the judiciary thwart all of the executive priorities aimed at reversing this trend. Even more fundamentally, there is no way to vote ourselves out of this situation since the problem is the brokenness of the elections themselves. So how do we correct this monumental injustice?
The ancient Romans, who established one of the world’s first and most influential republics had a solution for how to deal with crises for which electoral politics were part of the problem rather than the solution. In times of great crisis, like a foreign invasion, the Senate would appoint a trusted dictator who had unilateral power to determine policy and allocate resources as he saw fit. The prototypical example is that of Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, who twice became dictator, to thwart an invasion in 458 BC and then to put down an internal conspiracy in 439 BC. Both times he relinquished his power within short order and returned to his fields. This expression of duty and patriotism over personal power was a direct inspiration for George Washington, who could have made himself king for life, but instead returned to Mount Vernon as a civilian farmer.
I would fully approve of appointing a patriot like Donald Trump these powers to ignore the courts, which have become not a check on excessive power, but a check on the will of the people. Birthright citizenship must be suspended and the progeny of those who entered our country illegally must be deported posthaste. No matter how much Democrats value their policy objectives they should not be allowed to break the system by encouraging a foreign invasion.
Only then, when the legal corruption, partisan patronage systems and foreign invaders have been excised from the body politic will our country be safe for truly free and fair elections. The time to think about doing this is not when the next Democrat gets into office and the system once again lurches towards our legal persecution and harassment. It is precisely now when we are least likely to think about it, but have the most opportunity to see it through.
Like Cincinnatus, Trump has a patriotic duty to save his country. There is tremendous risk involved, as a man who has already been shot at and dragged into kangaroo courts knows only too well. But he has come this far, and should embrace the true calling to save his country, with no more recourse to easily-thwarted half-measures.
The first step begins with what he is already doing:
Step 1 – Consolidate Power
Remove everyone, and I mean everyone, who is not 100% loyal to him from the federal government and the Republican Party. Next, using Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s enormous popularity with the military, remove all disloyal actors from the armed forces.
Step 2 – Identify the National Crisis
Use the Insurrection Act, or declare a state of emergency, perhaps over the long-standing invasion at our southern border. Restore order in Democratic strongholds throughout the country, where foreign invaders are given (il)legal sanctuary.
Step 3 – Commence Mass Deportations
Use the full power of the federal government and the military to deport invaders and their descendants.
Step 4 – Ignore Partisan Court Rulings
While the left-wing federal judges can keep ruling whatever the hell they like, Trump should just ignore them. As demonstrated by the Supreme Court in the 2024 case Trump v. United States, there are sweeping absolute and presumptive presidential immunities for official acts. No need to change the constitution or impeach partisan judges. Just ignore them.
Step 5 – Restore the Republic
Once the traditional demographics of the United States have been stabilized and the foreign invasion has been neutralized, free and fair elections will once again be possible in the United States and the nation will be saved.

Trump is our Constitutional dictator.
Saved by God to MAGA.
6. Charge and try for treason all of the officials who facilitated the mass invasion. This includes the governmental ringleader Alejandro Mayorkas, and all of the legislators, financiers, religious organizations and NGO personnel.
7. Charge and try for treason all of the military leadership who participated in the ethnic cleansing of White men from the military and who have been doing it for years. These include: John Goldfein; CQ Brown; Mark Milley and others. Do the same for the officers and enlisted men who openly called for and supported the revolutionary rioting and looting in 2020.
8. Charge and try for treason all of the people who have participated in the cultural genocide of America and led the iconoclasm and deconstruction of our heritage sites. This includes men like David Rubenstein who desecrates the houses of our founding fathers, and brazenly deconstructs and rewrites American history by inverting it. This includes every legislator who voted for the iconoclasm. This includes all arts and entertainment people who also perpetuated American/European cultural genocide in film, television, theatre, literature and other cultural productions. In addition to treason they should be tried under international law for cultural genocide and undertaking a pre-meditated attempted genocide. Support of ethnic replacement in addition to the cultural genocide and open statements supporting ethnic replacement should be cited as evidence for premeditated attempted genocide. They openly state their aims and we ought to use these open air confessions to our advantage. The legal framework will be both American law as well as international law. But, the tribunals should be administered by and constituted solely of Heritage Americans.
As you make so clear so well, our demographic situation is perilous and we may never get another chance to lay the groundwork for a restoration and prevent South Africanization on the North American continent.
Great suggestions! Restoring order in American cities should necessarily include prosecuting criminals, even in high office.
This article dovetails with the autopen scandal. Apparently, a lot of the executive orders signed were done not by Biden himself, but by the auto signature that would be used on honorary discharge certificates. I’m sure there will be an investigation but it begs the question what sort of punishment will be dished out.
Patronage, that’s the word I was looking for to describe this incestuous relationship between NGOs funded by billionaires and the tax money they get through USAID. One hand washes the other.
But yeah, I agree with the premise of this article that there are certain situations where a temporary dictatorship would be preferable. Trump is being subverted left and right. I think that is why he is doing all these EOs at breakneck speed so as to overwhelm the system. I agree that when it comes to these subversive judges, Trump needs to channel Andrew Jackson and say, “the subversive judge has rendered his opinion, let him enforce it.”
“Charge and try for treason all….”.
That needed to happen on January 21, 2025. Biden, Harris, Majorkas are the top 3 that must be charged with Treason. They violated Article IV Section 4 of Constitution. The fact this did not happen is because POTUS is weak. We are not a serious country as our leaders are a joke.
Why are republicans so wimpish and concede defeat to everything the enemy says? The communist “lenin and terror boys” didn’t care who they killed, stole, from, nor the bolsheviks of bela cohn, tibor schzmuelly, pogany, or landler. Shred a national past and replace with a Red Constitution that changes on whims to the rulers’ demands with total impunity till the regime falls then rebrand and start over elsewhere. Cuckservayids are too concerned with procedure, being a not offending loser, pandering to those who hate them, and asking permission from their subjugators with a scared old woman’s tepidness. The enemy would never do that. They DEMAND, or else throats are cut and many more if they do win. Even if republicans weren’t anti-White traitors, why does their weakling composition feel the need to ask the enemy’s permission even if they’re in power? A genderfluid transnegroid judge says no, fuck off and die, and they’re content with that? The old left would’ve had very different solutions. “Okay, let’s go home and live to implore another day unless they kill us all cause we’re freedom and liberty.” No wonder they’re seen as doormats.
We can only pray that Trump has the testicular fortitude to wreak vengeance on the people who tried to throw him in prison. We don’t need you to be the bigger man for the sake of the country or any crap like that. Crush them!
“Step 5 – Restore the Republic
Once the traditional demographics of the United States have been stabilized and the foreign invasion has been neutralized, free and fair elections will once again be possible in the United States and the nation will be saved.”
What if the Democrats get into power again and decide to reverse all those steps? It is a vicious cycle. This is only one of the problems with Democracy, together with Capitalism it has gotten us to where we are today, and reversing it completely seems impossible under a Democratic regime.
Democracy and freedom are not necessarily the same things.
Not a bad start, but needs more Joel Davis.
What are your ideas on that? Joel Davis as a Australian diplomat or working in the US gov?
