The concept of envy — the hatred of the superior — has dropped out of our moral vocabulary. Liberalism has fuzzy ideas of historical guilt, but not original sin, or pride, or envy, which is pride’s obverse. The idea that white Christian civilization is hated more for its virtues than its sins doesn’t occur to us, because it’s not a nice idea. Not that its sins aren’t considerable; but to the envious, sin is more forgivable than virtue.
Western man towers over the rest of the world in ways so large as to be almost inexpressible. It’s Western exploration, science, and conquest that have revealed the world to itself. Other races feel like subjects of Western power long after colonialism, imperialism, and slavery have disappeared. The charge of racism puzzles whites who feel not hostility, but only baffled good will, because they don’t grasp what it really means: humiliation. The white man presents an image of superiority even when he isn’t conscious of it. And, superiority excites envy. Envy was the dominant historical force of the XX-th century.
Envy was instrumented in two stages. At first the class struggle and now it is the race struggle. At first lower white classes were used against their betters and now the colored masses are used against the lower white classes.
And it will go on and on, until in a sunny day, the whites will finally understand what solidarity and respect mean.
Classic.
Readers of Counter-Currents will more than likely be familiar with this quote from Joe, but it’s worth sharing once more.
“The purpose of a college education is to give you the correct view of minorities, and the means to live as far away from them as possible.“
That quote is so good I’m having a hard time believing it’s real.
I’ve seen or heard Jared Taylor attribute it to him a number of times, most notably in his chapter dedicated to his memory in If We Do Nothing.
It’s real and it’s true. I have read it a million times. But maybe Sobran’s best quote was “The Constitution is no threat to our form of government”. If that doesn’t make you laugh, you don’t understand it.

You really think that his description here of Western civilization, whites, and non-whites is inaccurate?
Whether there is “room for that idea” or not, his characterization of the phenomena is pretty hard to refute–in my humble pea-brain anyway.
If his observations are accurate, are they not also relevant?
Never let anybody forget that these people would rather risk their lives to live amongst white people as ‘oppressed’ minorities in foreign lands, among foreign people with a foreign language and foreign culture than live in their own ethnic homeland amongst their homogenous tribe. I ask nonwhites/immigrants this question and they can’t answer. It is the ultimate gotcha. They tell me ‘everybody wants to live in America.’ I ask them then why do they also move to Australia, Canada, Europe, Argentina, Europe etc? Quite simply ‘freedom’ is just synonymous with ‘access to whites’ and has become a human right for nonwhites. They even immigrated to South Africa during apartheid to live as literal second-class citizens one rung above blacks.
It makes zero sense. We kidnapped blacks from their continent, spirited and enslaved them into a faraway land and brutalized them throughout this entire cohabitation or so they claim. Yet there has never been any sort repatriation/expatriation despite all the black pan-nationalism. They follow us everywhere and demand inclusion like some unrequited incel propositioning a prom queen.
And there is no inversion of this. It has been demonstrated time after time with former European settlers during decolonization immediately repatriating back to Europe rather than face the wrath of liberated former colonies. Had blacks enslaved us we would be on the first boat back to a mud hut rather than live wealthily as SHARECROPPERS alongside our former slavers on the same plot of land. I just can’t take them seriously. They play it off as they are so forgiving and morally superior, but it isn’t that either. That does not explain the perpetual violence, bellyaching and monolithic anti-white politics. They know they can’t live without us and would never even try.
Then there are all the other nonwhites. Countries we’ve bombed into oblivion. Endless queues of ‘refugees’ from Syria, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc on the ‘small boats’ into Europe across the dangerous Mediterranean, or the most evocative demonstration of a Kabul family blown up in a botched drone strike reflexively demanding American citizenship. These people immediately seek to live amongst the people who destroyed their families. In what world does this make sense? You can’t reason with this logic. There’s a reason we kept them apart. They are like an untrained dog with scraps of food nearby.
I work as a white minority amongst chinamen. This country is ceaselessly anti-Sino, yet these chinamen keep coming and let their anti-whiteness be known. I ask them wouldn’t it be simpler to just live in China where you could freely speak your own language and not worry about white discrimination/supremacy or having your women poached? Always the same answer: ‘it betta here’ or ‘America so big you can move anywhere’ ….eternal white flight.
What I want to see is a discussion on the actual endgame of this. I don’t believe these people truly want white genocide when it comes down to it. They want some sort of stasis eventually. Once an answer is forced, these people will have to drop the SJW shtick, worship us and kiss our feet like in ye olden times.
A perfect little post. So true, and it applies to more than just the “teenage commodities”: looks, wealth, brains, historic accomplishment. Whites are better than other races – and they know it and resent us for it (rather as Christ was so resented, come to think of it …).

The reduction of Occidental dwellings to places of trade and commerce where the most sacred activity was the vicious circulation of finance from one hand to another; where men of same history, culture, language, traditions, etc., instead of intra-ethnic/racial camaraderie and solidarity developed a beastly “competition” amongst themselves; where politico-religious elites allowed their ranks to be infiltrated by parasitical entities; the latter then in connivance with the former lacerated the national body of a folk; where a sadistic functionalism displaced higher notions of honor, selflessness, and sacrifice.
And this was all going on when the West was still at the pinnacle of its politico-economic power. The slandering of the Majority at the hands of nasty and hostile elite with the strategic deployment of immigrant racial minorities was still a few centuries away.
Did this “White Christian Civilization” increase the honor of a White Man/Woman or did it exploit him/her like just another resource and then threw him/her out of the system of things once he/she became obsolete [or an obstacle]?
The bloodsucking political administrations and compromised aristocracies of yester-years, rather yester-centuries, took huge debts in White Man’s name and his future generations and used his blood and sweat to further their various adventures.
Now the debts are being repaid, unjustly, by a socio-politically defenseless White race.
Late Mr. Sobran failed to see that the White Man was the biggest victim of this “White Christian Civilization”, and that the imported, and imperially trained minorities have adroitly been using the very same arrangement against the White man [of course with the assistance of opportunist and dishonest White folk].
What is the need to destroy it when it has been so against Whites?
How nicely put, Mr. Sobran. And it also makes “white supremacy” totally redundant and a nonentity. If whites are superior (and in the eyes of those who envy us, we are, most certainly), then mostly everyone is a white supremacist, inferior minorities more so than whites.
